Request: the way I ran to write this... send me more ideas like this please they are my favorite to write!

Summary: Oscar and Reader navigate through intimacy

Warnings: again... spicy things. However there is no real depiction of anything happening!

Notes: aight, so this is again how I navigate because that's what I know. This is not a depiction of how every autistic person is when it comes to being intimate. Remember that autism is a spectrum and everyone is different.

Masterlist

Being intimate with each other actually took a long time

At least longer than what is probably average

And that's in opinion

She wants to have sex with Oscar

It's just that it's difficultt and there are so many different feelings that is gets overwhelming quickly

It doesn't help she's trying to dive straight in whenever they try it

Oscar pays attention however

Her body language is how he can understand her feelings

So he knows exactly what he's doing even if she doesn't get it yet

The next time things get a little heated, Oscar slows them both down

"Why are you stopping? Did I do something wrong?"

"Absolutely not, just thought we would try something different."

In her head, different is strange because there is usually an order to these things, and it should become routine eventually

Oscar has other plans

He starts taking their intimate moments incredibly slow

Introducing her to different sensations and letting her tell him what she likes and doesn't

Soon, he has a comprehensive list of dos and don'ts

Like how sometimes she prefers to keep on a loose shirt because otherwise the skin on skin is to much

Not all the time

He always asks before they do anything if she would like to wear one of his shirts

Or how her biting him is usually a good sign because it means she's happy

(Something she does even when they aren't having sex)

Oral is a grey area for her

Sometimes, she'll suck him off for hours, and others, she gets overwhelmed just thinking about it

Oscar doesn't care, though, because he loves her no matter what she's feeling up to

One thing he was not expecting was for her to be relatively kinky

Experimenting is everything

Hard yes and no things but down to try before deciding

Oscar got a bit experimental after he got a general idea and their bedroom communication was good

Again... communication is a key point

He's always asking questions and reading her body just as she is with him

The fact that it's a vulnerable state and both of them are connecting in a way with emotions that even sex itself can't give is incredibly intimate

They don't even make it there sometimes because the emotional ties are just so deep that they simply spend time memorizing each other

Another thing is vocals

Oscar is usually composed and level-headed

Sex however is completely different

It's where he is able to express himself in ways he couldn't before

Also, listening to his voice is something that helps her know if she's doing okay

She also experiments with her voice

Vocal stimming during sex happens often, and it happens when she is on the edge

Her parroting is endearing ad well

Sometimes Oscar will moan or hum in a way and she will copy

A non-verbal agreement to keep going

Can go for maybe two rounds maximum

Maybe three or four but that's on a good day

Follows a routine of how things go down and there is definitely communication beforehand

Even if both parties are in the heat of the moment, he will not start anything without giving an idea of what will happen

It's like an unwritten rule so that she isn't trying to read the situation and get frustrated with herself if she can't understand what's happening

Clear cut yes and no

There is no maybe

All communication is cut and dry, and there is no beating around the bush

Because of her willingness to touch, but only from those she's allowed, Oscar is a teeny tiny bit possessive

If anyone touches her who she's not comfortable with he won't hesitate to bite her in reciprocation

She bites him, he bites her, it's a pattern they keep going because he knows its her love language

Also, it creates some fun on other places

Really the two are very good at setting boundaries and communicating

It makes things fun for both of them and there is never any feelings hurt

Fluff Alphabet!

With the one and only Nai Saverem! These will be answered with the idea that you’re in a college au (following the plot + ideas I’ve set up for my college au Knives via drabbles + hcs)

Activities - What do they like to do with their s/ o? How do they spend their free time with them?

Nai is a very introverted person. I don’t think he’d really enjoy an extroverted partner- and your relationship started by quietly studying beside one another. (Hence, appealing to one of his love languages, quality time). He could sit in a room while you both do your own thing (aka, body doubling, because Knives is neurodivergent and so is reader)

So- basically anything with you. But preferably at home. Cozied up. He relishes in embracing you.. or possibly you embracing him. He’s very grateful to have you, so he’s not too picky on whatever you’re doing, as long as it’s not in an overstimulating environment.

Beauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

As cheesy as it sounds, your smile. The way you beam was practically (and to his annoyance) engraved into his mind. There’s also your intense yet focused eyes. When you’re studying intently you have certain ways you focus, and when you’re excited your stims are very endearing.

For him? He finds his markings beautiful. He’s very proud of his plant heritage and when you’re eager to know more, he’ll tell you whatever he can. It means a lot to him that you care to ask, many brush it aside or don’t bother. (Which it is the bare minimum, and he acknowledges that, but he is somewhat eager to interest you and inform you. Plant heritage is a special interest of his he enjoys, and a past hyperfixation. Nowadays he’s more focused on composing music.)

Comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

He knows the feeling all too well- and he’s comforted Vash many times as well. Depending on your preference, (which you would’ve discussed beforehand and he would’ve known because he’s prepared like that), it can go two different ways.

1. If you don’t want touch. He’s fine with that, that’s what he tends to lean towards since he’s normally very touch repulsed, especially when upset. He’ll speak to you, sitting in front of you in a firm voice, grounding you. “You’re here. Breathe. It’s ok.” He’s very good at this.

2. If you crave touch, he’ll give it to you. Holding you, cradling your head in the expanse of his chest and lulling you, (and as mentioned above), grounding you with his voice. He’s got a very assertive presence and he makes that clear when comforting you- you’re not alone.

Dreams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

Knives has thought about the future- academics wise. Romance wasn’t really on his “list of things to think about,” as much as creating a stable life for himself and Vash if needed. He’s a young “adult” forced to grow up far too fast, and while he enjoys you, reveres you, cherishes you- he’s thought of other priorities. But, if he managed to sit down and think about it.. a future with you would be nice. He just doesn’t really know what that would look like yet.

Equal - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

Knives is a very dominant and imposing person, and he mostly knows what he wants and needs. He'll voice his opinions to you and (most of the time) will be direct with what he wants. He enjoys having a sense of control, so while he will do his best to listen to you, you will have to take the reigns of communication and remind him this is a two way street.

Your input for things (such as where you both should get takeout, where you'll study, etc) is very reasonable, so he won't be disagreeing unless he has good rhyme or reason.

Fight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

When you do argue, like 90% of the time it’s because of him. You’re a good communicator in comparison to him, and while you’re patient with him sometimes things happen. Knives has a love hate relationship with his anger, because it’s what’s kept him alive, but it’s also what drives you away.

He’d plead for your forgiveness by leaving things at your door, such as snacks and food, letters and short texts wishing you well. Not that they sound tender, they’re abnormally stiff, just like the rest of his texts. You’ll have to initiate a meeting in person with him, he waits until you’re ready and he apologizes by silently murmuring, “I miss you” repeatedly into your hair as he holds you.

He’s sorry he’s like this.

Gratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

Knives is for the most part, aware. He never wants to take you for granted, even though he does sometimes. After your first fight, he makes an effort to acknowledge what you do for him more often by being more reactive, thanking you more in the small ways he shows his love.

Honesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

He has his own past, and he’s had his own struggles, they’re not really secret, but he doesn’t talk about it much. They certainly do define how he sees the world, and how he understands certain things and experiences along with aspects of his life, but they don’t necessarily define him as a person.

He’s always kept more to himself, and while the situations he’s been through certainly made that more extreme, he’s his own person regardless of his experiences. He doesn’t hide it from you, but it will take him awhile to say much about it to you. He doesn’t consider it to be too important towards your relationship- if you open up about any experiences you’ve had he’s most certainly willing to listen though.

Inspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

You’ve definitely helped him become more touchy. Not with anyone else really, just you. You’ve also aided him in conveying his feelings, and he’s most certainly not proficient but you praise him for his progress.

Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Knives would hate to lose you- especially since you’re one of the few good things in his life besides his studies and Vash. He has very few people he prioritizes, but when he does, he loves with his whole heart and it terrifies him. If someone is going to take you away, he’s wary of them. He reminds himself that he can trust you- you reassure him on this every time you speak of your love for him, and if he communicates this or you pick up on it you’ll spoil him with extra affection.

But it takes him awhile to admit it, so how does he handle it? Shoving it into the recesses of his mind in hopes the problem won’t arise again. It’s been his response to such bothersome things for years now.

Kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

The first kiss? I have yet to write that.. good idea. But it was an awkward mash of lips that led to embarrassment and regret until you spoke of it, reassuring him you’d like to kiss again. Later down the line in your relationship, he enjoys teasing you with a light brush of his lips until you’re beckoning him in for more, because god is he so sweet.

Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

Beautiful, true genuine words that have been on simmering in his mind for awhile, on the tip of the tongue awaiting until they boil over. Until he can’t take it anymore. You’re so wonderful, so elegant, so sweet, so soft, and he yearns and longs for you- how could you keep teasing him and being on his mind all the time? It’s so aggravating, he needs you.

Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

Referring to “Dreams” up above, he hasn’t put much thought into it. The idea of marrying you someday doesn’t rest on his mind until it somehow does, whether it be by Vash’s joking comments or cheeky notes from Wolfwood, or even if it’s you that mentions it. It would be nice to permanently be with you, in such a way.

But right now? He’s got too much going on.

I do think that if he ever does propose, it would be thoughtful and full of small mementos from your relationship subtlety placed. Knives is a romantic, a poetic person, and he wants something of utmost importance such as a proposal to be meaningful. Because he loves you, irrevocably and deeply.

Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?

Being a true romantic, whenever he does use nicknames it would be, “dear,” or, “my dear.” If he’s feeling in a teasing mood, he’d murmur: “my darling…” against your skin, brushing past your ear as he continues to walk past you. Hallways are convenient like that, are they not?

On Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

Denies. Deny. Deny. Deny. Deny.

Mutual pining is a phrase that perfectly describes your relationship with Knives, and as you enter a relationship with him down the line both of you realize:

“Wait that one time you- when you did that- it was because you liked me?”

“Yes, yes it was.” And the other sighs, an amused smile on their face.

Vash can tell, easily. Knives hides it pretty well at first, but he’s a total dork at heart. He’s so desperate for you- it’s so sweet.

PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their so in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

Knives won’t hide your relationship- but he won’t particularly brandish it either. He’s got a sense of class and while showing you off on occasion is rather gratifying, it’s not something he does often. He’s not a very touchy person, and most of the time in public he’s not in a very touchy mood considering he’s usually in a work/school mindset. But he has his moments.

Quirk - Some random ability they have that's beneficial in a relationship.

There are a few I wanna say-

1. He’s intimidating. When someone won’t take your, “no,” as an answer, and even when you say, “I have a boyfriend,” and they continue?

That’s a moment where Knives has a glare meant to kill, arm wrapping around your waist and pulling you to his toned chest. You get surprised every time, but enjoy it endlessly.

2. He’s a good cook. He had to cook for Vash- Vash was normally too tired, and depressed back in highschool, especially when they started living together due to the accident. He’s a very domestic person, and cooking is a way to show he cares.

Romance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

He’s very romantic. He’ll write letters when texts just don’t cover it, leaving them at your door. He memorized your classes, so he knows when you’re home and when you’re not. Thanks to @coffinbeananteiku , we know that Knives has troubles picking the color of a wax seal- he analyzes the colors, “red is too passionate”, “blue is too clean”, so he ends up deciding on black or white because they’re all the colors or the absence of color. He’s classic when it comes to romance, he’s truly a gentleman when he wants to be. Hangs up your coat for you, opens doors (of course he’ll make fun of you but that’s just the fun banter of it).

Support - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

He will admonish you for your goals if they’re unattainable or unrealistic. He worries and nags, and he’d rather you hate him than you get hurt. He doesn’t want you overworking yourself into your grave- he knows the feeling all too well.

He does believe you can do what you set your mind to though, you’re very determined, and he admires your passion.

Thrill- Do they need to try out new things to spice up your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

Knives needs routine. It’s what he’s most comfortable with and without it, he ends up overstimulated, distressed, and overwhelmed. (Reference autistic Knives tag). If you want to try something new, you’ll have to introduce it to him and give him time to think about it and adjust to the idea.

Understanding- How well do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

He has troubles with empathy. Sometimes- he most definitely understands what hardships you’re going through, and sometimes all he can do is listen. That’s what he does regardless.

He knows you very well- he’s very observant and truly notices small shifts in behavior about the ones he cares about.

Value- How important is the relationship to them? What is it worth compared to other things in their life?

As much as it’s a hard pill to swallow, Knives will not drop everything for you. He won’t leave school, he won’t leave Vash, and he won’t leave the opportunities he has where he is now. Does he love you?.. yes. It takes him awhile to admit it, but yes. But he wouldn’t move countries for you or anything.

He wouldn’t leave in the middle of class if you wanted to see him, he’s occupied. He’ll see you afterwards- as much as he misses you dearly he has priorities.

Wild Card- a random fluff headcanon.

He cuddles with you by draping your legs over his on the couch, practically holding you in a bridal carry laid against him as he kisses your neck. This is also convenient for when you’re both body doubling.

XOXO- Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

In private? He loves to- on some days. He can get overwhelmed by touch sometimes and it truly fluctuates. If you’re the same way he definitely understands, you don’t need touch to love someone. You don’t need to talk to love someone.

When you do cuddle though, he reveres you. You’re absolutely divine, a beautiful sight he holds tenderly.

Yearning- How will they cope when missing their partner?

Your smell. I truly believe he has a heightened sense of smell (#autistic knives tag) and he has some clothes you borrowed from him that have your smell. It comforts him, as he wears his petal cloak that definitely doesn’t smell like you.

If he’s desperate, he’ll read through your texts. Not sending anything- he doesn’t really know what to say. Perhaps a, “When will you be back?”

But if you don’t mind him touching you, he’ll hold you close the minute you’re in private together.

Zeal- Are they willing to go through great lengths for the relationship? If so, how far?

Referring back to “Value”, he does have other things he values, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t love you. He’d escort you wherever as long as it didn’t clash with his schedule, he’d give you snacks (because you don’t seem to take care of yourself well enough, ugh), and he’d do many more small things for you.

Since this is a college au, no, he wouldn’t kill for you, and no, he wouldn’t destroy the world for you. But he certainly will cherish you- and while he messes up sometimes he does truly try to make up for it. He feels he’s not enough for you- you’re so soft and tender and he’s rough and jagged, unable to understand. He would treat you well though, and he makes a genuine effort.

Autistic Bruno headcanons/fic ideas go!

I dunno how fresh these are, but here I go:

Rubbing fabrics is one of his most common stims, but there are some others not seen in the movie. I don't remember who it was, but months ago someone said that they wanted to HC him flapping but felt bad because the way the fandom was... it's in the ol book of HC's now. you deserve flappy Bruno homie.

Sand is very texture™.

When he was a kid, Bruno spent long periods of time looking at the sand in hourglasses fall.

Being the gifted kid of the family allowed a lot of his quirks to get overlooked for a while. By the time he hit burnout, he was seen as a burden. this could probably be a general HC, but it was very much a double edged sword for him.

He advocated for Dolores at loud parties, and postcanon, the two will go to her room to enjoy a quiet activity.

His "Special rat" he mentions in OBB is his support rat that acts as not only a companion, but a comfort. He pets it and also trained it to lick his face and calm him down.

I've mentioned the HC of involuntary visions sometimes vetting tied to meltdowns. The swirlimg sand has unintentionally hurt people before, and out of context, a random villager probably would see it as scary.

This one is common I think, but Mirabel making Bruno textured a scarf,plush, etc? yes, she does that.

She is also one of the first people that really sat and listened to him to that extent. Second most would be Julieta, who was in general the nurturing big sister, though she took care of everyone. That line about holding him in the book until it relaxed and being ok with him not talkong until he felt comfortable is canon in my heart. She knew a lot what to do because of how gentle she is with Antonio and when it comes to emotional care, post canon especially she goes out of her way to make sure everyone, including him is okay.

Luisa gives some awesome pressure hugs, though she has to watch her strength, of course. Bruno can just give her a look and she knows.

If you let him talk about his rats or shows, he will be your best friend. It's not something that everyone necessarily understood, but post canon everyone, especially his family enjoy his shows and his enthusiasm. Something he loves just as much though is the actual process of making things. He can get into a full on trance making his art and sets.

Bruno being afraid of fireworks for the angst. :( It's another reason for him to get Dolores in her soundproof room though.

Julieta knows how his body reacts when he is happy, and is the most thrilled to see that as he is getting better emotionally.

The first time that they all ate together as a family again was chaotic and it was a learning experience. It took some tweaking and sometimes he will eat alone, but generally family meals are good now. :)

The silver lining to his gift is being able to have predictability in his life. He still isn't fond of when the future sneaks up on him or things don't go to plan like in the game where he freaks out and mirabel has to calm him down

He hides in tight corners and small spaces, and his new room has a little hiding spot. The family knows about it and the other spaces he has in the house but respect that

He hits himself and hair pulls when he's in a bad space mentally.

As he got older, a lot of his quirks were misumderstood by the villager and even his mother as him being moody or Noncompliant. Post-canon, she starts to listen to him more and gets to have a caring motherly role more often. She tries to check up on him and make sure that his limits aren't being puahed and that she isn't subconvipusly trying to make him someone else.

He asked Julieta to "fix" him at least once when he was older and frustrated with how sour everything had gone. He's a lot happier with himself, though.

Dr Prism headcanons?

jumping up and down……. the woman trifecta is complete whoopiee!!!!!!!! ok ok hang on lets see. [spoilers for ieytd3 but i feel like that's kind of obvious]

she's a great singer, but has two left feet. she can not dance for her life. thankfully, i don't think she's ever attended a social event where she would be expected to dance (or a social event at ALL, really💥)

she was a gifted kid in her youth. she was an incredibly charming and intelligent girl- could hold meaningful conversations with adults, could handle academic work well above her grade level, and had a natural sense of curiosity that her peers couldn't rival

as a result, though, this also meant that she was never really popular. she was great at talking with adults, but other people her age was a different story entirely… she never really developed great social skills. that carried with her into adulthood.

reginald was really one of her only friends that she made in her time at the agency. yeah she knew people, but he was the only one she could say she trusted.

HE made friends with HER, by the way. that's the only reason they even are friends. he's just exceptionally social and likes making new people feel comfortable in the office, and she latched onto him as the only guy who was especially niceys to her.

she's pretty hard on herself when it comes to her work. she'll keep her nose to the grindstone for an unhealthy amount of time.

she- much like the fabricator- is fond of encouraging her own progress with snacks and treats in between her work. however, unlike the fabricator, she wants to feel as though she's earned them before she has them. more often than not, this leads to hours/days passing by in between the times where she lets herself have a treat.

she has autism.

as a result- because she is their creator- all of her robots also have autism. they weren't really supposed to talk or interact with the world the way that they do. most of that is because of them picking up things from roxana.

she stims, and her robots picked that up from her too. except they don't do it for any particular reason. they just really like mimicking her.

SPEAKING OF HER ROBOTS!!! She loves those things so god damned much. which is canon that's not even a headcanon. but it's so real i have to say it here, too.

despite how absolutely absurdly dangerous it was to interact with any part of the Agency after KBOOM, reginald and phoenix got back in touch with her specifically so that they could reunite her with right robot

and she did cry when she saw him again. obviously she didn't think that any of her robots survived… she couldn't really bring herself to react when she lost them all in cold shoulder. the shock affected her so much she didn't really have the time to grieve in any traditional sense of the word. but seeing one still alive really got to her. it was relieving and devastating all at once.

she backs up right robot's memory every day, to three separate gigantic ass hard drives. it's the only way she can sleep at night.

she's also vowed never to make another robot again… not like remaking the ones she lost would help. she can't, anyways- not without Kinesium- but even if she could, how could she? how could she bare replacing them? obsessing over robots brought pain to everyone she cared about, her only friend, herself, her own creations. she's not doing that again. she can't bring herself to do it again

she's not above consuming caffeine to get more work done, but she's incredibly sensitive to it. it helps her work at the cost of increased anxiety. she always regrets it but it never convinces her to actually stop

SHE DOES THAT❤️ takane has huge leg bouncer energy i bet she makes the whole table shake and everyone asks her to quit it and she says Damn ok sorry and stops it for a total of 50 seconds before starting again

anyways in summary hs takane is like. tends not to notice personal space, hates touching stuff with her hands, likes having control over what or how she hears, and has a tough time staying still. POST STR... its all to the max. takane is overly aware of everything. all 5 senses are as much of a nightmare as they are a relief and it's all mixed together!!!!

ok her sensory needs that she already had pre ene are still there but completely amped up, except the personal space one. now everyone is always too close and literally just opening her eyes (HEH!! OPENING EYES!!!!) is super overwhelming bc WHOA EVERYTHING IS SO CLOSE AND HUGE AND HD. i could imagine comparing it to like, wearing contacts for the first time for any fellow glasses wearing people. like u know this, youve seen all this. but suddenly youre watching it differently without a frame around ur eyes and it just feels weird. for takane the frame was a screen instead of the glasses yknow. and to her its A LOT

i think post str takane keeps using her powers and having meltdowns because on top of all the existentialism she has to deal with being alive and everything, suddenly She Cannot Control Anything And It Is A Nightmare. she can't handle the lack of control she has over her needs and body temperature. just feeling hungry or sweating after walking for a little in summer makes her upset. bc she gets her body back during summer so GOOD LUCK WITH THAT GIRL. the clothes she wears feel all insane and irritated and nauseous!!! awful!!! even showers feel strange bc AUGGHHH so much is touching her at once!!! she also hates eating soooo yeah also a thing. i think she's always been a picky eater but post str its like she will only eat like 2 things or something

ON THE OTHER HAND.... it suddenly goes on the opposite end. like for a few days she's nightmare overstim city and then she's SUPER understim and COMPLETELYYYYY over eager about having a body and horribly indulges in like. overeating and running around <- overeating (especially when u usually avoid eating), awful for ur tummy. running a lot when u have chronic pains, also awful for ur pains later. sooo nothing she wont pay the price for later. it needs to get pointed out to her she needs to find a balance and cant have all or nothing (by haruka probably)

the personal space thing comes back here like she gets So touchy and needs hug or death. i think she can be all happy hugging haruka and all of a sudden pushes him away and is like WHOA I NEED TO GET OUT OF MY BODY RIGHT NOW MAYBE RIP MY SKIN OFF TOO MAYBE so it's rly like a light switch all of a sudden she can get overwhelmed with it and revert. like jumping back and forth between seeking and avoiding sensation.

i drew this once but haruka with his arms inside of takane's sleeves LOLLL i think skin to skin rly helps her when she's feeling like she needs sensation. a big part of the sudden overindulgence is OUGH IM REAL!!!! bc like i said takane isnt just dealing with having a body again she's dealing with having her Life again. being alive again. and she LOVES being alive. and the avoidance of all these sensations sometimes piles up and ends on the opposite like I NEED TO EAT💥💥💥I NEED TO SCREAM💥💥💥💥I NEED TO RUN AND HUG AND KISS AND DANCE AND SWIM💥💥💥 yknow. so yeah haruka helps her a lot with it when she needs touching and hugging 🙏🙏🙏 cuz he also wont get offended if she's suddenly like Ok get away from me before i explode🙏

also post str takane To Me also has mobility issues like haruka does bc all her muscles are atrophied from yknow Not moving for 2 years so it's like, even more that she has to deal with. physical therapy is incredibly invasive to her too so it's extra difficult. i think haruka and her do it together and that's why haruka is so on top of what's going on with her, he's the closest and sees her whenever she's the most vulnerable. also their situations are So similar they cant help just gravitating to each other for support. i also think haruka's the one to always point out to her when she's overindulging like Hey i love that ur rly enjoying that bigmac but i can already see you wanting to rip out ur organs later tonight so maybe dont eat a third one.

anyways ermmm takane's biggest challenge is Stop resorting to opening eyes whenever it gets too bad. like i also got sensory issues and assuming whoever is reading also does imagine having the option to just Jump out of ur body when its feeling Awful. ofc ur gonna take it when ur feeling like that. but it doesn't help takane to do it. while it helps her to calm down, it's not good in the long run. she actively wants a PHYSICAL life and work on all this. takane never wanted to die and is super motivated to get better but it's not quick or easy!!! eventually she finds a good balance i think. she's still a rly touchy person who hates grabbing her phone directly without the sleeves in the middle and will only eat like 3 things❤️ but also a hug lover❤️

Ok! I’m gonna mainly discuss the mental disorders he has and explain how they affect him

So first, we know about Tweek’s addiction from his parents. In my canon, they decided on Tweek’s seventh birthday that their son is old enough to help out with their business. This includes taste testing coffee, which is canonized in TFBW. Eventually, Tweek started to REALLY want to drink the coffee a lot because he gets a weird, tingly, funny feeling when he drinks it. Drinking so much coffee for someone so little caused some big problems, like the obvious anxiety/paranoia, acne, restlessness, and ✨ psychosis ✨

Anxiety disorder: the most obvious disorder. Any distressing event can cause a lot of pressure on tweek and make it hard for him to function. Because of this, Tweek has to constantly live in a state of fear and has multiple panic attacks a day. Luckily, Craig tries to comfort him and seems to work wonders on Tweek’s anxiety.

Paranoid personality disorder: the other obvious one. It’s very, very hard for tweek to perform some tasks because he worries he’ll get hurt. Tweek does research on some of these disasters to see what he can do to prevent it or stay safe. Chances are you’ll need to reassure him that he’s likely to be okay during these.

Adhd: in Gnomes, Mrs tweak claims the reason her son is so hyper is because of ADHD. It’s heavily implied that she said this as a cover up, but I still headcanon tweek to have this because I have it too and I like to self project. Tweek canonically has trouble focusing, so this could mean he might just have ADHD. The hyperactivy isn’t something to care about because of the coffee.

And now, disorders tweek doesn’t canonically have but does have in my canon:

Autism: more self projection. Tweek stims a lot mostly to let anxiety out. His special interests are Pokémon, Lego’s and animals. Funnily enough the first and third are mine too. Tweek is sensitive to loud noises, so he sometimes wears noise cancelling headphones. In my rehab AU, Tweek enters a large burnout, sleeps often, acts more soft (trying not to fanonize him, he’s just been through a lot) and is often semiverbal. He also has many meltdowns instead of anxiety attacks in this AU.

Depression: yes, even tweek gets depressed often. If Tweek loses someone or does something that makes him “hate (his) brain”, chances are hell lie in his bed all do and do barely anything. Unfortunately, he (as a teenager) has hurt himself on purpose (usually burning himself his coffee or repeatedly hitting his head on a wall) and attempted a few times. Pro tip: bring Stripe to Tweek during a depressive episode. You won’t regret it.

Epilepsy: so. Meth can cause seizures. Autism is often comorbid with epilepsy. So, if an autistic kid drinks coffee repeatedly ever since he was seven, it’s likely something bad will happen to your brainwaves. If Tweek gets very, VERY stressed, he might seize. His epilepsy seemed to have formed when he was eleven, and it got bad a year later and he almost died from a long seizure.

There’s probably more I headcanon him to have but I can’t seem to remember them well on the top of my tongue. So, in conclusion, Tweek needs a hug.

oooo! I love these so much. Personally, I also headcanon (well, semi-canon) him to have Tourette’s, due to his tics. I, myself, suffer from tics, and his ‘tweaking’ is very reminiscent of these. The way he just moves past them when talking like they didn’t happen at all is very tic-disorder-behavior.

Another one (this one definitely more headcanon-y) is cognitive/motor disinhibition. Tweek obviously suffers from paranoia, however, from the description of cognitive disinhibition, it could tie in as well. The unwanted thoughts that keep a person from focusing sounds very Tweek-like.

Next: mania. This is tied into his coffee/meth addiction, however he shows signs of it when he doesn’t have coffee. This is clearly withdrawal of sorts, but it leads to a manic-like state.

The last one is OCD. Tweek’s paranoia is a part of the reason why I believe this, though I’m not sure how canon it is. It’s more of a headcanon, as his anxiety is almost parallel to that of people I know with OCD and anxiety. Again, there isn’t much proof that I have stored in my brain, but it is more a headcanon.

4. Longest period of time it's taken you to write one fic?

HILARIOUS. i still have not finished longing/love. i started it last fall. i would like to finish it before 2023 is over but turns out it's really hard to write shipfic for a ship you don't ship anymore. or at least do not ship in such a way that it vibes with the way you shipped them in the opening chapters. ANYWAY.

mermaids georg, who has twenty-five years of lore and multiple chapters, is a statistical outlier and should not be counted.

um oneshot-wise i'd say the most amount of typing time i've spent on a thing is....a week? two including rest time + revisions? it gets to be bloodshed (/adhd) if i work on something longer than that. which is another reason why i don't do longfic. i will often rotate a fic in my head for months before actually writing it though, which is a crucial part of the revision process. i go through probably 3-7 drafts in my head before i ever type a word, and it's very efficient. thank u ann patchett for affirming this practice.

look. i have built a truly embarrassing amount of una/neera lore. snw 2x02 changed me ok? my ao3 subscribers are not ready for the day i drop that obscenely long oneshot. unfortunately i don't have the energy to write it right now so it just lives in my head rent-free, making noise.

would also love to write the b7 locked tomb au of my dreams but that's never gonna happen because HAHAHAHAHA imagine trying to hold a candle to tamsyn. could not be me.

Narancia

-Narancia has (undiagnosed) ADHD.

-And boy does he love to stim with his hands! Using his flick knife is his preferred method of keeping his hands busy, but that tapping he’s doing while listening to his boombox? Slappy time! 

-He also flaps when he gets served his favorite meal or a fancy dessert at restaurants with the gang.

-His feet are EXTREMELY restless and he has a tendency to kick his shoes on and off when he’s sitting around. This makes them a tad loose, which is why they always come flying off in battle.

-Surprisingly, Abbacchio is the most equipped to handle Narnacia’s energy and helps ground him with his Cool Goth Vibe.

-Abba and Nara paint their nails together sometimes when Narancia is feeling overwhelmed. Especially on rainy days when the sound of the rain puts him on edge.

-He’ll just start singing jingles from commercials at random, sometimes in the middle of a conversation. When they get in his head, he’s gotta let them out! In general, noises can be either a source of elation or anxiety for him.

-He’s often lost in his own thoughts so deep that when someone speaks to him, it can take a few seconds for him to process what’s just been said. 

-Sights, sounds, and smells all tend to overwhelm him, but touch is very soothing. Look how tight that shirt is; there’s a reason!

-Sometimes if he’s having a hard time, he’ll just ask for a bear-hug from Mista. The pressure helps him relax instantly. Since it took a long time for Narancia to work up the nerve to ask for a hug, he would at first just grab one of Mista’s arms and drape it around his shoulders, or even place one of his hands on his head. It didn’t take long for Mista to understand the wordless request for comfort.

Fugo

-Holy fuck words are hard for Fugo.

-Unless you ask him about something he’s passionate about. Then he will chat away and info-dump, his eyes light up and it’s one of the rare times you’ll see Fugo open up and look super happy.

-Since he has a hard time socially, he tries to use formalities to bridge the gap between himself and friends. Teaching math to Narancia? Formal, serves a functional purpose. A logical thing to do, really. Also means he gets to spend the afternoon with his friend :) He’s also always trying to take on extra tasks for Buccellati so he can be around him.

-He adores Buccellati, but Bucci tends to make a lot of intense eye contact, which always makes Fugo antsy because he hates eye contact. Thank god for Abbacchio, who will go on a mission with him and return to Naples without ever looking at his face. What a good friend!

-Yes, sometimes he practices speaking in front of a mirror, trying to keep his head high and make his cadence more like Buccellati’s. And what about it?

-Touch-averse to the extreme. Do not touch him. Please.

-Hands-down pickiest eater of the group because a lot of smells and textures freak him out. His sense of smell in particular is super strong. When in doubt, strawberries are always a good way to make him eat. He can devour those all day and never tire of them. He’s been known to just eat bread for lunch if the smell of his meal is Bad and puts him off.

-Also prone to stomach-aches from stress. His mind-body connection is VERY strong and his social anxiety informs how he feels. And since he’s anxious most of the time...:(

-His skin is so sensitive: his suits are made from super soft material and don’t have tags. His clothing budget is sky-high but he looks dope and he feels good!

-He tends to pick at his hair, so he has horrible split ends all the time.

-He’s probably the least likely one in the gang to self-sooth or practice self-care because he doesn’t feel he deserves to feel good. Thankfully, the rest of the gang feels quite differently and is slowly but surely memorizing everything they can do to make his life easier.

Mista

-He’s naturally extroverted and loves to be with friends, but he needs breaks to recharge frequently, which is why he always brings along books or magazines to read and have quiet time. If he doesn’t get a chance to decompress, he gets fidgety, overly chatty, and very unhappy. 

-Understanding what people are saying and interpreting other people’s feelings? Easy! Communicating back to people what’s on his own mind? Oof!

-Voice modulation? Lol never heard of her. Sometimes he’s just yelling instead of talking and that’s that on that.

-Despite the efforts he puts into being the “laid-back” type, he’s actually prone to anxiety attacks. Generally, he’s pretty helpless to communicate when he’s going into an attack, and doesn’t want to be seen as overly emotional or worse: a burden. So he tends to clam up until he reaches a breaking point. The only two people who can soothe him once he’s in the height of anxiety are Buccellati and, surprisingly, Fugo.

-His fear of the number four is 100% a self-imposed sort of order to help him feel he has control over some aspect of his life. Is that specific number linked to a childhood trauma? Probably! He’s not gonna talk about!

-Loves to eat, but he used to get distracted/lost in thought and skip meals chronically when he was younger. That’s why the Pistols are always begging for food at mealtimes. It gives him a routine.

-Executive dysnfucntion to the max.

-Hyper-empathic. Don’t let the tough demeanor fool you: he cries like every day, and adopts the vibe of whoever he’s with, which is again, why he gets overwhelmed and needs down time despite his love of socializing. 

-Zero spatial awareness. If there is something to bump into, he’s already bumped into it, knocked it over, tripped over it, or stepped on it. Half the time he’s hurt on missions, he’s the last one to notice.

Giorno

-Zero perception of personal space. Especially if he really likes you. (People are quick to assume he and Mista are a couple because his hands are always on him: it’s really just a security thing for Gio, nothing romantic intended).

-He also tends to get right up in your face if you’re having a one-on-one conversation. For the longest time, Fugo avoided talking with him alone cuz he Did Not Like the invasion of personal boundaries.

-He has a silly sense of humor, but his delivery is so flat people often can’t tell he’s joking, which leaves him feeling kinda :/

-Not good at reading people’s tones. If he has empirical evidence to glean something about someone (ie Buccellati’s hesitating to injure the drug addict teen in their first fight, which showed Giorno that he’s a kind and trustworthy man), then he’s confident. But he gets confused when he has to go off of facial cues and tone of voice alone. Those are way harder to understand for him!

-He’s constantly asking if his friends are upset with him because he can’t tell and he’s very anxious about that! At least Abbacchio is upfront about his feelings, even if he’s not too fond of Giorno. -Put Fugo and Giorno in a room together and get them talking about Roman history or biology and they will not shut up. They LOVE to info dump at one another!

-He had such a lonely childhood and he is hyper aware of how literal and overly formal he can be. He acts collected but he’s actually so self-conscious of it, and is terrified that the gang puts up with him because of his stand abilities, not because of who he is as a person.

-Soooo sensory-seeking. Please braid his hair! Go ahead! He would adore that!

-Has been known to summon Gold Experience just for a hug when he was really upset. These days Narancia and Mista try to be there for him instead.

-He has synesthesia all the time, which might be part of how he’s able to think so creatively when fighting other stand users. Sometimes on bad days, he’ll just communicate in colors instead of words, because it takes less energy.

-On one really bad day, Abbacchio asked why Giorno was showing Mista pictures of different gray skies in a book and not talking. Mista explained that those pictures were what was in Giorno’s head, that words were too heavy that day. After a moment’s thought, Abbacchio grabbed his headphones, set them on Giorno, and put on Monteverdi’s Symphony No. 3 in D Minor with the order “listen to that and tell me what you see.” Giorno searched through some of his books, then showed him a series of Monet’s water lillies. “That’s what I thought. Keep listening, punk. I’ll need the headphones back at the end of the day, or else you’re in for it.” Closest bonding experience they ever had.

At the moment I can’t think of anything for Abbacchio or Buccellati, but I’m happy to hear any other ideas people may have!

This ask literally made me squeal- my neurodivergent ass is gonna have way too much fun with this- LMAO Just a warning, I'm basing this mainly off of my personal experiences (I have ADHD and am possibly getting tested for atypical autism in the future.). Ill try to be as broad as possible but I'd just like to give a heads up.

Just know that if you don't relate to this post or something in it, that doesn't mean you aren't valid! Everyone experiences neurodivergencey differently ^^

☆The Brothers Dating A GN!MC With Autism & ADHD☆

Day-to-day life has always been a struggle. As it feels like no human truly understands why you function the way you do. From bosses, to teachers, to neurotypical friends. Life can feel draining and like a chore when you're living in a world that doesn't function the way you do.

Then your world literally changes. You're in the devildom now. Most people would be terrified that they're living in a house full of demons. But you weren't. You felt like you finally belonged, and eventually you finally found love. Something that people assumed you'd never be able to find. Well jokes on them because your lover treats you with so much respect and kindness, and of course you do the same. This is some of what your lover does that just makes your heart spin:

Lucifer:

-Much to your dismay, before Lucifer started to get to know you he was similar to the humans you've encountered in the past. This doesn't last long though as one of the brothers (most likely Leviathan or Mammon) try to explain. He begins to go a bit easier on you, and also falls for you.

-When you guys start dating, he makes it his goal to help make your day-to-day life easier. Dare I say, he takes pride in it. (Hahahah aren't I funny?)

-He notices how you need a schedule to function, but how much you hate schedules. So with your permission, he makes a loose schedule and follows it WITH you. It simultaneously helps you function more than usual, and it helps Lucifer take breaks when he needs to.

-You two begin to do everything together, as doing stuff together and holding each other accountable is a lot easier than doing it alone

-If someone ever dares to make a rude comment about you Lucifer will um... "take care of them".

-If you ever get overstimulated from the environment you're in, Lucifer keeps his office wide open as a quiet place for you. He keeps a weighted blanket, some headphones and any stim toys you usually use in a corner of his office. If you're not comfortable with them out in the open he'll keep them in a special box somewhere in his office that others can't get into.

Mammon:

-Executive Dysfunction gang! The both of you are relieved that you understand each other and some dumbass wont just go "jUsT gEt Up aNd dO iT!"

-If you guys are struggling with it at different times, you'll try to help each other do small tasks that require very limited effort so that one of you don't get overwhelmed and stressed out. If its a particularly difficult day, you'll just stay there to support the other if they want that.

-If both of you are struggling that day, you do nothing ✨together✨ and just vibe with each others company.

-This man brings you shiny things. They don't even have to be worth anything, they're just shiny. You proceed to do the same. You two now have a designated spot for shiny things you bring each other. If you have an interest in art, you and him will probably end up using the shiny objects as art projects.

-A LOT of impulse shopping. You guys enable each other. Although you quickly realize that you impulse shop for each other. Every second day you end up bringing each other gifts and laughing about it after.

Leviathan:

-Y'know that arm thing two neurodivergent people do when they find out that the other person is neurodivergent? Yeah you two did that. And still continue to do that. It's your greeting now.

-You two spend tons of time either cuddling and talking about your special interests together, or both of you are pacing around Levi's room talking about your special interests together.

-And if you end up having the same special interest?? Oh man the serotonin you two both get just being AROUND each other.

-If you have a hard time around tons of people (in general or just at certain times) he's more than willing to share his room with you and for you two to do online school together. I mean hey, doing school by yourself online is difficult. (Even if it's more comfortable for you both)

-Will he get you a matching pair of noise cancelling headphones if you have auditory sensory issues, or if you just like the pressure on your head. (I don't know if that's a neurodivergent thing but I will wear my headphones just so that I feel some sort of pressure on my head)

-You both communicate what you need, and whether you need alone time or not. Making sure not to trigger any form of rejection sensitivity dysphoria for eachother.

Satan:

-If you were one of those neurodivergent kids that spent all of their time in the library, going through books like wildfire in middle school, get ready for that to be reignited.

-You two will read together all the time, and if you're having a day where you're more fidgety and don't wanna stay still, Satan is more than happy reading to you while you pace around.

-Satan has a natural curiosity, and loves to learn about anything that he doesn't already know about. So if you have a special interest about your own neurodivergency, he is more than happy to listen to you ramble about your life experiences and symptoms.

-Honestly, it doesn't even have to be about neurodivergency, Satan is happy to listen and learn about anything you're interested currently.

-If you aren't big on physical affection from humans or, well... humanoid people, that's perfectly fine! That's what animals are for! He'll take you to a cat cafe and will enjoy spending time with the animals with you.

-Similar to Lucifer, if anyone makes a comment about the way you act, they wont live to see another day. Unlike Lucifer, the demons who say these comments don't even finish their sentence. They're dead before MC blinks.

Asmodeus:

-When Asmodeus finds out that you have sensory issues that affect what you wear, he decides to hand-make clothes with fabrics of your choice. He has no issue with you prioritizing comfort over appearance, but if you want to put effort into your appearance and texture is stopping you, he's more than happy to design some stuff for you.

-Asmodeus has always been a touchy person, but if you aren't comfortable with that he'd never force you to cuddle. If you are interested in physical affection one of his favourite things to do is put makeup on your face, or just touch your face.

-Speaking of which, if you ever impulsively cut your hair whether it be from breakdown, normal impulsivity, or sensory issues with your hair being longer. He'll always help you cut your hair. He wants to make sure that once you cut it, you wont regret it the next day.

-Depending on whether you like going outside or not (or if its depending on the day) he's more than happy to take you to the fall! He'll make sure you're always comfortable and if you need the attention diverted from you if you need a break!

-If you don't like going outside, Asmo will dedicate certain nights for just you two to hang out. He can always energy match you. Hyperactive? Oh he's right there with you bouncing of the walls. Calmer? He doesn't mind just vibing with you. Comfort? Oh you've come to the right guy.

-Asmodeus is very emotionally intelligent, it may have originally been for the wrong purposes (charming others) but now he can use it to help you work through issues with socializing with others, past traumas from other people, he'll always do his best to support you as long as you'd do the same for him!

Beelzebub:

-Beel is always well meaning, but whether you're neurodivergent or neurotypical, communication is key with him. So, if you're unintentionally blunt to neurotypical people, that's exactly what Beel needs and wants. He knows you don't mean it out of harm, you're just trying to state your boundaries.

-Do you need a weighted blanket? This man will become the weighted blanket. He wants to make sure you're comfortable at all times!

-If you have trouble eating, Beel is here to help. If you take meds for ADHD and they make you lose your appetite, or just general forgetfulness, he'll remind you to have at least some sort of small snack throughout the day. Nothing too filling, just enough so that you aren't running on zero food throughout the day.

-All the go-to and comfort foods that you had in the human world? Beel would make it his MISSION to get them, and TONS of it too. It's the only food in the house he wont eat because he knows how important it is to you. He will tear up a bit if you offer to share though.

-If you're in a hyperactive mood, or anxious, Beel will convince you to do some light exercise with him to help calm you down

Belphegor:

-If you have trouble sleeping, Belphie will definitely try and help. Ranging from cuddling, aroma therapy, getting Beel to do exercise with you. To more magical means (if you're comfortable with it) like sleeping powder.

-If you just have a different internal clock than the average person, that's fine too! It may be permanent but that's okay- Belphie will sleep at any time with you.

-Isn't generally a social person so if you're not that big of a fan of social interaction you don't have to worry. Belphie would even do online school with you!

-He would let you use his pillows and blankets to stim if that's something you're interested in. He'd also listen to you ramble about your interests while doing so! As long as you don't mind him talking about the stars afterwards.

-Definitely the most blunt out of his brothers, so communication wouldn't be an issue between you two. If his bluntness is a bit too harsh for you he'll try to tone it down a bit, but it would probably just end up as him trying to explain the reasoning behind the bluntness and how it's not out of harm.

Diluc

You’re actually one of the best workers he has in Dawn Winery, because you’re efficient and smart and bustling around like ♪~ ᕕ(ᐛ)ᕗ

But you do tend to zone out a lot and sometimes you end up working so late into night and you don’t realise it but you had forgotten to eat dinner so you go to the kitchen and it’s like 3am and Diluc is there because he works late too and he’s also just finally getting the chance to eat so you are always having food together whilst everyone else is asleep :3

At work though, if you had forgotten to do something such as paying the bills, no worries, Diluc has a backup plan - the maids usually help with this 

You usually ramble away to Diluc about anything you think of, even when he’s working at his desk. He’ll just be sitting silently and occasionally throwing you glances every now and then as you pace the study up and down and gesture with your hands. You know he’s listening. 

You may be messy, but the maids help clean up after you 

If you can’t focus, Diluc will help organise your day because he is organised himself and has lots of deadlines and also he has trustworthy employees like Adelinde and Connor who can help come up with a schedule for you on a daily basis but Diluc keeps you close by his side which also means you most likely do a lot of things together and you work/stay very closely with him

In order to help you stay focused and on task, he wants you to accomplish one thing at a time and often Diluc will do this with you personally 

If he was in the middle of doing something else, he will pause to head over to assist you. If he’s not able to, he’ll get Connor or Adelinde to help

When you’re overstimulated because there’s too many people visiting the Winery or feeling really uncomfortable in general and your thoughts are darting all over the place, Diluc will take your hand and lead you away and to your special, quiet place where you can just focus on him and look at his face which helps you gradually relax and calm down

You might zone out a bit when he starts talking but then you notice the intricate details on the buttons of his shirt and the buckle on his belt and you’re like ‘cool’…. And start pressing your fingers over them and he’s like “…….”

He still loff you a lot though 

Kaeya

Somehow everything you lose always end up in his possession??? Like you might go up to him and go ‘Kaeya! I lost my sword! I don’t know what happened to it! Its just disappeared!!” And he will just whip it out from behind his back and be like “You mean.... this sword?” And you’ll be like “YESSSS gimme.”

“Nuh-uh, not yet.”

“Whaaaat?”

“You have to give me a kiss first.”

“Okay.”

It’s actually pretty cool and reassuring because you have no idea how he does it

And this is the kind of relationship you have with him so you’re never bored around him because of how unpredictable he is 

You tend to zone out a lot so he likes making up little puzzles and brain teasers for you whenever you’re with him and keeping you guessing all the time

If you ask a question he’ll answer your question with a question. Can be either infuriating or very stimulating. Hmm.

Also enjoys telling you ghost stories 

I suspect you and Kaeya may actually be a pretty messy duo because you’re both busy with knightly duties and shit and your house will be utter chaos. Kaeya has arranged for a knight to come around twice a week to clean up tho

He loves to act as your own personal assistant and remind you of things so you don’t forget, usually by coming up behind you and leaning down to whisper in your ear 

If you zone out again, he’ll feed you some candy or hold your hand so you can play with his long fingers and the studs on his gloves or he’ll make little ice crystals with unique patterns and make them float around in the air for you 

He’ll also allow you to play with his ponytail

He’s quiet on his own so he’ll be a good listener

When you are experiencing sensory overload, Kaeya will usually sort it out for you one way or another. You’re in good hands. Then you will go and take a nap together.

Xiao

Xiao is your mentor. He speaks so fluently and to the point and also expects you to be clear and concise when dealing with him and so unceremoniously end up helping you organise your own thoughts 

Otherwise, you might zone out often and very easily because there’s too many things going on in Wangshu Inn and it’s too much to handle but then the smell of almond tofu being cooked in the kitchen helps kick you back to reality and you’ll realise Xiao was standing there by your side the entire time 

Ok ok so we know from Ganyu that Xiao is punctual and hates tardiness so he’s good at reminding you about appointments/deadline if needed.

I mean he will drill this into your brain with an iron fist. Defy him if you dare

It also means he will inevitably come up with some practises and teach you how to be mindful, how to increase your awareness and also various breathing exercises

Aside from that, he will notice you lose things a lot esp when he finds random stuff littering the Wangshu Inn ranging from cheese and vials of whopperflower nectar so he will keep an eye on you from now on.

Or if he’s not around, he will ask Verr Goldet to take note of what you lost so she can easily and quickly replace it thanks to Wangshu Inn’s connections

Xiao observes what you do on a regular basis from the shadows and then returns to the inn and also ask Verr Goldet to check up on you every now and then and remind you when it’s time to eat because he noticed you often forget to eat

One day you might return to your room and discover that he’s actually left some food for you and there this note on it with the word “EAT” scribbled on it 

Your impulsiveness and the hectic and chaos that surrounds you works well with him because it’s not like he has a schedule either, I mean he often turns up in your room at 4am after fighting so many demons after 3 days straight and he’s in agony from all that bad karma but there’s you and you’re awake because obv you forgot to do something and went back to it hours later but now that he’s here and in your presence and you want to talk to him about your day and he’ll be listening to everything

And listening to your voice and the way you speak is actually really soothing/comforting to him and even makes his pain goes away

Then you’ll remember what you were doing and rush off and he’ll be back up and running and go off to destroy more demons so the world can sleep better at night 

or if he’s free, you drag him outside to go on an adventure and explore the area around the inn and beat up some hilichurls 

If you have some trivial task to do and need his help, he’ll just offer his assistance at no cost, quite simple as that

During his free time, he’ll try to find out more about stim toys to help you. 

Xiao will learn what triggers your overstimulation and purposefully help you avoid it or get rid of the problem before it actually happens.

✨Why I Think Bella Swan Is On The Autism Spectrum ✨

In this post I’m going to talk about why I personally believe that Bella Swan is autistic. As an autistic person myself, I really relate to Bella and I see a lot of autistic traits in her.

Disclaimer: This is just a headcanon- I don’t think Stephenie Meyer intentionally wrote Bella as autistic, and she or the movie producers never confirmed it, so I’m not saying to everyone that she is CONFIRMED to be autistic and that every one has to see her that way, I’m just saying that I personally think she is, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Autistic people hardly have any representation in the media, and with the representation that we do have, it is almost always stereotypical, inaccurate and offensive. You do not have to agree with me on this, but just please be respectful in the comments and don’t hate :)

Ok let’s go:

1. She always felt different from everyone/she felt like nobody truly understood her and that she never really understood anyone either: this is what basically all autistic people feel, myself included. Feeling like nobody understands the way your brain works and the way you see the world. (And this is true, because autistic people do see the world differently than non- autistic people and autistic peoples brains are wired differently from non- autistic brains). Bella mentions this multiple times in the books and movies, at one point in the first book in the car with Edward, she tells him that she thinks he can’t read her mind because they’re a probably a glitch in her brain and that it’s not like other people’s. There is also this quote from the 1st chapter of twilight which sums up how she feels: “ Facing my pallid reflection in the mirror, I was forced to admit that I was lying to myself. It wasn’t just physically that I’d never fit in. And if I couldn’t find a niche in a school with three thousand people, what were my chances here? I didn’t relate well to people my age. Maybe the truth was that I didn’t relate well to people, period. Even my mother, who I was closer to than anyone else on the planet, was never in harmony with me, never on exactly the same page. Sometimes I wondered if I was seeing the same things through my eyes that the rest of the world was seeing through theirs. Maybe there was a glitch in my brain”.

2. Her motor skills: She’s constantly tripping over her own feet, has bad balance, doesn’t realize that she’s walking into things, constantly dropping things ect, a common thing for autistic people is to have poor motor skills and find it hard to navigate their body.

Another disclaimer about autism: not ever autistic person is the exact same, every autistic person expresses their autism in a slightly different way, for example, some autistic people are overly sensitive to sound, and some are under-sensitive to it, these are just the specific things I’ve noticed for Bella in this post, it’s not supposed to be a generalization of autism in any way! :)

3. Social disinterest and difficultly: all throughout her childhood and her time in forks, she wasn’t very interested in making friends or hanging out or going to parties, and she found that she could never make friends with someone easily, she just never fully clicked with someone. She did have some very nice friends in forks, however she never related to them too well or was very attached to them.

4. Dresses for comfort and not fashion: Bella typically dresses in what feels most comfortable for her, not what is the most fashionable thing, this is a common thing with autism. A lot of autistic people like myself are quite sensitive to clothing and fabric and will not tolerate uncomfortable clothing.

5. Limited interests/special interests: Bella doesn’t really have many interests, but the ones she does have, she’s very passionate about. A special interest is an autism-specific term used to describe interests and hobbies that autistic people have that are very important to them. They help regulate emotions, calm people down, provide escapism ect. Autistic people can hyper fixate on these interests for hours and hours and not get bored, they can get so engrossed that they forget to do basic tasks to take care of themselves like drinking or going to the bathroom. These interests can last for years, sometimes a lifetime and they are very important to autistics. Bella swans special interests would be reading, wuthering heights, and vampires. Bella says in midnight sun that she has loved reading all her life and it is one of the few things that bring her intense joy. She said she could read for hours at a time and would try to sneak books into her lessons and read any chance she could get. Bella says that her favorite book is wuthering heights and she has read it so many times that it is beaten up beyond repair and the spine is so cracked that the book lays flat. This would clearly be her special interest. Her other special interest is clearly vampires.

6. Burnouts and meltdowns when Edward leaves: when Edward left in new moon, Bella obviously fell into a huge depression, but I also think she fell into an autistic burnout (if you don’t know what that is pls research or ask me cause this post is already too goddamn long). And in eclipse, when Edward leaves to go home in the afternoon or to go hunting, she can barely focus without him and gets very anxious (this is obviously because she loves him and is literally obsessed with him lol, but I also think it could be a meltdown from separation anxiety and also a change in routine (a lot of autistics get very upset when their usual routine is disrupted or changed))

7. Sensitive to sounds: In the book, often Bella cannot concentrate or fall asleep because of little sounds like the rain, sometimes it takes ages for her to sleep because the rain or tapping is too distracting. (This is a common autistic struggle).

8. Stims & facial twitches & stuttering: in the movie, she is constantly stuttering over her words, and her face and body twitches a lot. She also stims a lot in the book by playing with her hair or sleeves or the zip of her jacket, or her hands or edwards hands. She also covers some of her face with her hair, this could be to do with sensory overload, seeing too much in her field of vision may be overwhelming for her, like a lot of autistics.

9. Trouble expressing feelings/ thoughts: bella struggles a lot sometimes with communication and telling people how she feels. You can see this in her relationship with Charlie. They both love eachother very much but they never say it and when they do it comes out very awkward and sometimes they use the wrong words. You can also see this when she is hesitant to tell Edward in eclipse when she doesn’t want him to leave for the fight, it takes her ages to work up to telling someone how she feels. She also tends to be quite private. This is common for some autistics to feel.

10. Sensory experiences: bella loves the sun and heat, she says that she loves feeling the sun seep into her skin- a lot of autistics feel the sensory world very strongly and love certain sensations and detest others. When Bella moves to forks, she hates the sudden change in weather and gets anxious and upset at the feel of the cold, and the rain against her skin. This links back to my other point where I was talking about how autistics fear sudden changes in routine. Bella is very relieved when there’s a sunny day in forks and goes and sits outside, savouring the weather which reminds her of home.

11. Not too concerned with how she looks: obviously not every autistic person is like this, but quite a few autistics don’t really focus on how they look/present and what they wear. They don’t really know about the social norms and what other people wear so they do what they want. This is something I often see in Bella in the books especially.

12. More quiet/ reserved and socially withdrawn and awkward: this is basically self explanatory. Bella is very well known for this. I touch a bit more on this in point 3.

If you made it this far then thank you so much! This took a long ass time to write and I’ve been thinking of making this post for months. There are more things that make me headcanon her as autistic, but these are just from the top of my head. When I re-read the series (for like the 100th time lol) later this year, I’ll annotate the book so that I can update this post in the future with more supporting this).

Again this is just my opinion and my personal headcanon, it is not factual (but I’d obviously want it to be canon) so please no hate :)

Reader’s POV: 

I couldn’t help myself. 

It was around five in the evening, and my boyfriend just looked a little too good today. 

He looks amazing everyday--in fact, I have a difficult time not being clingy at work because of how delicious he looks in his work shirts and uniform--but today I couldn’t resist. 

I had already finished all of my work, and I just wanted to go home and... be with Spence.

So, I walked on over to his desk once the greater population of the BAU had left the bullpen (Emily and Hotch were the last remaining), and ran my fingers through his curly hair as he scribbled down information on a case file. 

He glanced up at me and smiled, immediately going back to his work. 

I (obviously) wasn’t satisfied with that. 

“Spence?” My voice was light and soft. 

Spencer hummed sweetly in acknowledgement. 

I propped myself next to the paperwork on his desk. He held my hand with his non-dominant and kissed my knuckles gently before writing down more information. 

“Spencer,” I dragged out the last syllable of his name, but to no avail. I played with his fingers and hand, examining and admiring how big they were compared to mine. I kissed the pads of his fingers lightly, and played with the silver watch on his wrist that I had gotten him for last year’s Christmas. “Can we please go home now? Everyone’s practically left!” I pouted, playing with his digits. 

“Y/n, I told you that I had a lot of paperwork to do today,” he murmured, almost annoyed. Spencer gently pried his hand from my hands, running it through his messy hair. “I’ll come get you when I am finished, OK, love?” 

“But-” I began, but Spencer interrupted me. 

“Y/n,” his tone was a warning. He looked up at me with a commanding stare. 

“Spen-” I wanted to cry. 

He used his hand to cup my chin and make me look down at him. 

“I will come get you when I have finished.”

My bottom lip trembled. 

I knew he was busy, and I wasn’t necessarily sad, just frustrated. 

However, that didn’t stop the tear that slipped past my cheek. Spencer had already let go of my face and focused back on his work again. I sniffled, and he immediately noticed. 

“Sweetheart?” his voice is soft and concerned as I swallow some tears, wiping the fallen ones away. Spencer stands up and follows me as I walk to the kitchenette, grabbing a water bottle. Spencer calls my name softly as he finally catches up to me, his hands snaking around my waist. “I’m sorry, love. I know I’ve been more busy recently, and I’m just frustrated because I truly just want to spend time with you.” 

Spencer leans down and catches my bitten lips with his. 

“Okay?” he hums, combing some hair back from my face. I nod, and he smiles softly, holding me closer and kissing me again before pulling away--however he is still in very close and comfortable proximity to me. “How ‘bout you sit on my lap while I do my work? Hm?” 

I nod again, wrapping my arms around him. 

“I’m sorry,” 

“What’re you sorry for?” he asked sincerely. 

“I shouldn’t have cried.” I replied. 

Spencer smiled softly. “Don’t be sorry about that, okay? We have had a stressful few weeks and haven’t gotten much alone time, love.”

I smiled meekly up at him and kissed him, then let my head rest on his chest.

“I love you,” I whisper.

“I love you more.” he whispers into my hair, pressing a soft kiss to the top of my head.

I sat on Spencer’s lap as he did his work. 

I toyed with his non-dominant hand and he would press kisses upon my shoulder, neck, and cheek. 

And to be fair, I was doing perfectly fine. I was happy that I got to be close with him and he was able to do work. 

Until...he started bouncing his leg. 

I shifted underneath him, trying my best to hide the whimper that was begging to escape from my lips. 

His bouncing was incessant, and it caused the perfect amount of friction to my clit. I held his hand with both of mine, my back arching absent-mindedly. 

Spencer took notice as he leaned in, pressing a kiss to my shoulder. 

“S’that feel good?” 

I giggled breathily, trying my best not to openly grind on him. 

“My sweet girl, so needy all of the time. Even in the office we both work at.” he whispered softly, his leg bouncing up and down quicker. 

“Spence-” I turned around, adjusting my position so I could feel my clothed chest against his. The spot was apparently perfect as once he began bouncing his leg again, I whimpered in the crook of his neck. 

Thankfully, no one was here in the bullpen, only in their offices with the doors and blinds closed. 

Spencer ran his hand up and down my torso gently. He littered small kisses on my shoulder and neck, holding me tighter to him. 

This new angle rubbed perfectly against my clit and I came, whimpering in Spencer’s hair. 

As I came down, he ran his hand up and down my back, the cold of his silver watch chilling me. 

Then, Spencer whispered in my hair as I began to get sleepier. “Let’s go home, love.”

Home is where we went and where we stayed for the night. 

Spencer ran us a warm bath and we kissed until the water ran cold, nipping at our warm skin with ease. 

He peppered every square inch of my skin with kisses, saying how proud he was of me. My heart flipped in my chest everytime Spencer kissed me--especially my lips and forehead. 

When it was time for bed, Spencer insisted that we sleep with skin-to-skin contact. 

“Skin-to-skin contact is great for babies and their mother’s, especially right after being born and during the months of typical breastfeeding. However, it is also good in a romantic relationship. It releases a chemical called oxytocin, which goes hand-in-hand with another chemical, seratonin and even tryptophan. It also just builds trust and bonding in a relationship as well.” Spencer spouted, and I smiled at his facts. 

So, we shed our pajamas once we had finished eating dinner and brushing our teeth. I was exhausted, and I knew Spencer was too.

At first, I laid on his chest, tracing patterns on his abdomen as he hummed.

But then, I began to feel needy again, and straddled him, lying my whole body ontop of him. 

He took my position happily, caressing my back and running his hands softly up and down my spine. 

I hummed as he kissed my head, whispering how much he loved me. 

I whispered back how much I loved him and told him how proud I was of him. 

Just as I was about to be lulled to sleep, listening to the small thraps of his heart beating against his chest, he gently flipped up over so he was lying between my thighs; his head on my belly as he kissed the skin softly. 

I ran my fingers through his hair and he hummed happily, kissing down lower and lower...

Let’s just put one thing straight:

We didn’t go to sleep for hours that night.

We made love for a while, understanding each other’s bodies and needs.

We kissed ourselves to sleep.

We were way beyond happy and content with each other. 

And that was that.

Ok enough about hurting the animatronics, what if an upgrade gives them a detailed sense of touch, like they can feel when things are soft/rough/smooth/sharp? I imagine a few would squire some plushies due to how soft they are. Unsure about practical applications other than being better able to handle children

I feel like I mostly covered my thoughts on touch in another ask but...

Yeah they absolutely amass stashes of plushies. Chica has the biggest collection of plushies and pillows and will try her damn hardest to hug all of them at the same time with varying success. She loves the feeling of leather jackets though she's not typically able to wear one unfortunately. Her absolute favourite things to feel with this new upgrade is Roxy's fur and it is a personal challenge she sets for herself every day to find an excuse to touch it without making Roxy uncomfortable or feel like her space is being invaded. This is a difficult task! Yeah like I said in the other ask for Roxy, when Chica gets this upgrade she's running around excitedly picking stuff up to feel it just like the others do. I just had the thought that maybe this causes her to develop a sort of stim where she stomps her feet a lot because it feels better that hitting stuff with her hands. Could stem from the fact chickens don't have arms and stuff. That could be interesting

The one that has gone through the most plushies but only generally has a handful at any given time, is Roxy. Her need to chew things is just too powerful and she's found that plushies are the thing that calms her the most. The only plushie she has never destroyed over time is an old Bonnie plushie that she adores but the ears are looking a little worn from her gentle chomps. Anyway, Roxy loves soft things but also metallic things like her tools and the go-karts. She despises the feeling of her fur being wet and hates the feeling of glue and slime and stuff. She is oddly fascinated with how Monty's mohawk feels as it's kinda like a toothbrush but also not and it intrigues her. She would rather die than admit it though. Oh and the feeling of the racetrack under her feet? Incredible. Nothing like it.

Monty has also chewed through a lot of plushies with his own chewing stim. He has one of everyone on a shelf out of the way and those are completely off limits. He loves the feeling his claws make on things and prefers wood and grass textures to anything soft or leathery. He loves the feeling of water. He cannot get enough of it! It all feels so strange at first but it's a good kind of strange. Honestly, when he gets the upgrade, discovering what water feels like probably halted him in his tracks and he ended up sinking half a day just zoned out at the swamp water in Gator Golf. Like Roxy he also hates the feeling of slimy things and glues and stuff but he does really like squishy things. Vanessa gave him a stress ball and he finds it weirdly comforting with how squishy it is.

Freddy loves anything that feels warm. He loves water and fluff and soft things. He has a rather small collection of plushies but he takes care of each one, with one as the designated chewy plush. He also likes the feeling of claws against things but he's less inclined to act on that than Monty is. This guy loves that he can feel every detail of a hug now. This is why he wanted the temperature upgrade! He wanted to feel the warmth of hugs! The others find out about his reasoning and he gets such a big group hug, it feels great. He's also pretty interested in Monty's mohawk and he likes the feel of running his claws over Monty's unique, scaly casing.

Sunny is obsessed with glitter glue for even more reasons now! He loves the feeling of all the glues and starts making his own slime for funsies. They now understand what Roxy meant when she said the padded floor of the daycare was really squishy and he spends a while jumping around on it cause it feels funny. He has ALL the plushies and has access to none-Fazbear brand ones too so it's even better for him! He loves the feeling of woolly jumpers and the giant Freddy plush by the play structures. They hate metallic textures.

Moon likes flicking through pages. It feels weird on their fingers and after getting sick of the feeling of thick dust sticking to him when he's climbing through the highest possible heights of the Pizzaplex, he gets a feather duster and cleans this place up. He shares their plushie collection with Sunny and they usually sit there hugging all of them at once on their bad days. They like papery textures, and things like jeans and the solid bars of the play structures. They prefer colder feelings like metal bars and bamboo kinda feelings, but understands that kids prefer much softer textures when they're sleeping.

2013

It was raining when 16 year old María Machado Sotomayor first met Kit Herondale.

Marí had always loved the sound of the rain. It was peaceful and rhythmic, creating a nice tingly feeling in her skull running straight down her spine. It also good for the plants. Which meant that Marí arrived (on time for once) at her favorite class in a pretty good mood.

Marine biology was their one of their three special interests, the other two being lacrosse and Base guitar. So Bio was usually pretty fun for them. However this time was different.

Her mood was instantly dampened when she walked into class and saw someone new sitting in her usually seat. A blond, short and white kid who looked far too pretty for his own good. A new kid most likely.

A new kid who didn't realize that Marí always sat by the window every single day. It was their spot. Still Marí was determined not to overreact. They marched over to the new kid  and approached him with their best masking smile.

Remember eye contact. She told herself. Keep your tone light and breezy but not too lifeless. Smile. Appear friendly and non threatening. Try not to sweat. Try not to scream.

"Hi excuse me," Marí began in a sickly sweet tone. "That's actually my seat! Sorry!"

The boy instantly looked embarrassed and apologetic. "Oh I'm sorry!" He blushed. "I didn't realize there was assigned seating." He had an American accent, California maybe?

Wonderful. A white American boy. Just what they needed.

Marí chewed their lip and fought the urge to rock or tap. "There isn't actually," they admitted. "I just usually sit there. So can you please move?"

Now the new kid looked a little offended. A cold look settled over his face. "Well why should I?" He bristled. "This seat isn't really yours. It's not like it has your name on it."

Marí rolled her eyes in frustration. "I tried that already but then I got in trouble."

He stared at them curiously for a moment. Marí took the opportunity to break eye contact finally and scuff their heel against the floor. They were wearing the new black suede chunky heels with the gem stones that Marí had gotten when they went thrifting with their friends.

"María!" The harsh voice of her teacher snapped her back into reality. Everyone had arrived and taken their seats while she was arguing with the American and now everyone was staring at her. "Could you please explain why you are not seated young lady?" She snapped in her extra pretentious sounding posh English accent.

The one that said, "I'm better than you."

Marí tried not to growl at being called a young lady. They weren't feeling particularly female today. Not that Marí was going to bother explaining that to some old British hag.

"He won't get out of my seat!" Marí protested. Instantly laughter broke out around the classroom. Cruel mocking laughter that made Marí feel like her skin was crawling.

"It's ok!" The new kid cried out, practically jumping out of Marí's seat. "I'll move! I'll go sit over here." He grabbed his bag and moved to the back of the room as quickly as possible.

Marí smiled in spite of themself. His random act of kindness was surprising, but they were grateful. They took their seat near the window and sighed in relief.

Marí would always look back on that day with fondness no matter what. It may not have seemed like much to him, but it meant the world to her. After Bio class she had asked Kit to come eat with her and her friends. They had made their introductions and the rest was history.

They became close friends very quickly, bonding over movies and music. They sent each other playlists of their favorite songs and songs that reminded them of each other. Marí made Kit a queer playlist with songs by queer artists and told Kit that they were bisexual and a demigirl. They hadn't even told their friends that last part yet at that point.

Marí also told Kit that they liked to use she/they pronouns, but so far was only using them online. Kit asked Marí a lot of questions then confessed to Marí that he was also bisexual but he was still kinda getting used to it.

"I grew up in a shitty situation," Kit had told them. "I guess I still have a lot of shame."

Marí didn't hold it against him. She bought him queer literature and resources for queer history including "Bisexuality and Queer Theory" and her printed copy of the article published in the 90s called "The Bisexual Manifesto." She gave him advice on websites and people to follow online.

They also just talked. Talked about life and their experiences. Their feelings and their relationships with their sexualities. Bonding with another queer person was always special but spending time with Kit always made Marí feel so...light.

Despite how close they were getting, Marí didn't always want to touch him. They were touch averse in most cases unless they were very comfortable with someone. Sometimes it just depended on the day. On the days where Marí found they could not hug Kit they had invented their own way to show affection.

They would place a hand over their hearts and tap it, as if to say "I care about you" or "I love you." Sometimes Kit would say "tap my heart" as a substitute for actually doing it.

He introduced her to his close friend Janessa, the wayward vampire who was incredibly hot and kind of made Marí all nervous and tounge twisty at first. But as they got to know her, Marí realized that she was also incredibly kind, passionate and clearly cared at great deal about Kit. Janessa was a gamer who had named herself after a video game character. She drank cups of warm blood in novelty mugs with giant swirly sparkly straws and was pretty good at making people laugh.

Janessa, or Nessie as Kit had affectionately nicknamed her, was flirtatious and charismatic, but also brutal and deadly in a fight. She was full of surprises. And maybe, just maybe Marì was a little bit into that.

However as much as Marí didn't want to admit it, they were also were starting to realize that they were way more into someone else. Someone with perfect golden curls that Marí wanted to curl their fingers into.

Eventually Kit came out to Marí as genderfluid and requested that she use alternating he/they pronouns for them. They both made the decision to collectively tell their friends their pronouns. Marí, Kit and Nessie sat around her gorgeous leather couch and talked for hours about gender, identity and transness. Kit pointed put that they may never be able to fully explain their gender to the other two, just like Kit might have a hard time fully understanding Janessa's relationship with gender, or Marí's because everyone was different.

"It's personal Nessie," he had said. "Everyone has their own unique perspective on gender and every trans person has their own complicated feelings about gender and what their own gender identity means to them, and those feelings might not completely match up with another trans person's. But that's ok. You don't have to understand the other person but you do have to respect them."

Janessa's understanding of gender came from being a trans women. It was about a strict  binary with clear lines and rules. Rules that Kit was starting to make a habit of fingerpainting all over and Marí could tell that it was stressing her out.

And Marí had no idea where the hell they fit in these rules. They had stopped playing the game.

But those two loved each other more than anything, and Marí knew they could work anything out. And sure enough approximately seven hours and four margaritas later (only two for Marí,) they had come to an understanding.

2014

She kissed Kit for the first time a month into the new year.

They had been trying on clothes in Marí's room and Kit was wearing one of their old dresses that Marí thought they looked amazing in, but Kit wanted to give it away. It was dark navy blue and sparkly with spaghetti straps, coming to about mid thigh. There were cut outs on the sides, filled in with black sheer fabric, and it had a low v cut at the neckline which was also filled in with black sheer.

Kit had been infodumping about one of the Marvel movies again, Marí couldn't remember which one, and she had kept getting distracted by his tan smooth skin peaking through the sheer fabric and fullness of Kit's moving lips. He smiled excitedly and Marí had stepped forward and kissed him.

Their first thought was that Kit tasted like chocolate. Their second was that they should have done this months ago.

Kit had melted into the kiss, smiling slightly against her mouth and pulling her closer. They kissed her feverishly, sliding their tounge inside Marí's mouth and moaning when she deepened the kiss eagerly. They moved against each other with almost lazy, comfortable precision, kissing each other for what could have been hours or days or maybe only seconds.

Marí couldn't have said.

When Kit finally broke the kiss and pulled away from Marí, his eyes were practically gleaming with joy and love. And that was when they knew.

I love him.

2015

I love him.

Ty's words ran in her ears. Repeating over and over again, maddenly bouncing around inside of her skull until she was forced to utter out loud,

"I love him".

They whispered it under their breath but Marí could tell that both Alyssa and Ty had heard them. It was so quiet you could probably hear a pin drop.

But of course. Of course he does. It was obvious. This whole time Marí had noticed there was something wrong with Ty. Just like there was something wrong with Kit. The way they stared after each other when they thought the other one wasn't looking. The loving and worshipful glances mixed with the bitter glares.

Marí had already known that Kit was in love with Ty of course. But the way they had told the story made it seem like they were positive that Ty couldn't be in love with them.

But then again maybe that made sense. Given Kit's history and who he was. But then Marí couldn't help but think of Ty and how confused he must have been. God it was a giant mess.

Speaking of...

The room was still silent. Marí found that she couldn't read Ty's expression as he stared back at her flatly. But his body was shaking, his fingers fluttered at his sides. She wanted to soothe him.

They stepped forward carefully. "I'm not mad at you," Marí assured him. "I was hoping we could talk?"

Ty's left eye twitched. "We are talking," he pointed out. Alyssa snorted.

"Ty, they mean about the proverbial bomb you just dropped a few seconds ago," Alyssa said with a laugh.  Marí smirked to themself slightly.

It wasn't really a bomb. More like a flare.

She really needed to talk to Ty. The only problem was Alyssa had an annoying tendency to never leave his side. It wasn't like she had a problem with the girl. Of course not. But her presence meant that Marí hadn't had the opportunity to talk to Ty one on one.

They cleared their throat. "Alyssa could you please give Ty and I some space to talk?" They asked. Marí hoped they didn't sound too rude. Alyssa looked to Ty and he nodded slightly, signaling that he was ok with her leaving.

That was so strange to Marí. Their relationship. The way Alyssa, a werewolf who hated shadowhunters even more then Marí did, essentially took orders from him and clearly trusted him more than anyone else. But perhaps she wasn't one to judge.

After all, she loved Kit.

Alyssa left the room with a pat on Ty's back and a quick, "call if you need me." Marí shifted their weight back and forth as they rocked slightly from side to side as they waited for Ty to speak.

He stared back at her silently, most likely doing the same. Marí blew out a loud breath and forced herself to stay still, crossing her arms.

"Are you going to say something or should I?" Ty asked expectantly. Marí bit their lip and shrugged.

"I'm still thinking of what I wanna say," she admitted.

Ty smiled at her softly. "So am I."

There we go. Cracks in the armour.

"I'm sorry," Ty whispered suddenly. "I never meant to-"

"You don't have to apologize!" Marí blurted out. Whoops they had interrupted him. "Oh shit sorry you were still talking!" They reached for their hair nervously and realized that they were wearing that Morticia wig for their costume.

Great. Marí moved on to chewing on her knuckles.

"It's ok," Ty reassured her. "I don't really know where I was going with that sentence. And you shouldn't do that." He pointed to her hand.

Marí scoffed, "yeah well you shouldn't dig your nails into your palms." He glared at them and they laughed.

"Not so fun playing a game of Mirror Image is it?" They teased. Ty didn't respond, just stared at Marí solemnly.

"You know I really admire you," he said, aiming his gaze close enough to hers to create the illusion of eye contact. "I always have. I never wanted to hurt or upset you."

Marí wished for a brief moment that they could touch him and then shrugged the impulse off. "I know love," they cooed. "Me too."

Without really understanding why, she pressed her hand to her chest directly above her heart and tapped, just like how she did with Kit. Ty studied Marí for a moment and then followed suite.

Marí in spite of themself, actually felt bad for him. They could clearly see the toll the last three years had taken on him, specifically the last few weeks. Maybe his family couldn't see it, and they definitely knew that Kit couldn't, but Marí could.

Marí of all people could see past the mask because they knew what masking looked like. It wasn't just about appearing normal, whatever that word meant. It was about hiding your feelings. Taking that heart you wore on your sleeve and locking it up tight. But everytime Marí looked at Ty, they could see it. And it was bleeding.

Ripped and bloody and broken, just like her own and yet they both still had the sheer audacity to keep breathing. Marí was proud of them both.

"You need to talk to him," Marí prompted. "You both need to be honest with each other."

Ty furrowed his brow. "Honest? About what? He doesn't feel the same way." He had gone back to flicking his fingers as he stared at her, looking puzzled.

Bloody hell between the two of them, Kit and Ty were giving Marí the mother of all headaches.

They took a deep breath. "Yes they do Ty," Marí tried not to sound exasperated. "Kit is in love with you, believe me. They told me."

It hurt Marí's heart to have to say it, but it was true and Ty deserved to know the truth. And they knew deep down that Kit wouldn't really be happy, he wouldn't be Kit until he had Ty. And Marí had to make their peace with that.

Ty looked understandably confused. He ran a frantic hand through his hair. "But why are you telling me this? Why are you helping me?" He asked. "Don't you love them?"

She fought the urge to cry as tears gathered in her eyes. She found herself digging her nails into her palms despite chastising Ty for doing it a few minutes ago.

"I'm telling you all of this because I love them" she cried desperately. "Because Kit cries out your name in his sleep Ty! Because everytime he sees you, he stares at you like you are the moon the sun and the stars! Because everytime you speak they hang onto absolutely every word, and when you laugh-" Marí cut herself off.

They squeezed their eyes shut and took deep long breaths. Ty said nothing. Marí opened their eyes to see Ty staring at them in dismay. He looked like he was trying to think of what to say to help.

Marí shook their head. "I know Kit loves me. And they probably always will. We were close friends even before we started dating." Marí groaned and shook out their entire body this time, jumping up and down a few times as well to get rid of the tension. If Ty thought this was weird he didn't comment on it.

Marí wiped her eyes carefully trying not to smudge her mascara. "But you Ty?" His eyes refocused on her again at the sound of his name. Marí chuckled humourlessly. "Fucking hell, he is in love with you. And right now he is thinking that you hate him and I know it's tearing him up inside."

Ty stared at Marí hopelessly, looking overwhelmed and exhausted. "So what do I do then? What am I supposed to say?"

Marí shrugged. "I can't help you with that I'm sorry. It has to come from you." Ty looked even more panicked.

They gave him what they hoped was an encouraging smile. "Don't be scared Ty," they murmered. "It's Kit remember. They're not scary. You have nothing to worry about."

Ty didn't answer her. He had wrapped his arms around his body, squeezing tightly. "Marí do you remember those dead moon jellyfish we buried on the beach?" He asked.

She was a little confused as to why he was bringing this up now. "Yeah? Why?"

"That's what I feel like right now," Ty admitted. "Like I've washed up on the beach and now I'm just waiting for someone to come along and step on me."

Marí's heart sank. "Oh Ty," they breathed. "I promise that won't happen with Kit. I can't make any promises for anyone else, but I do know that Kit has absolutely no intention of hurting you again love."

Ty looked pensive. Marí could only hope that Ty would make the decision to trust them.

With a sudden jolt Marí remembered the party.

"Hey we still have the Halloween party to go to," she said, shaking Ty out of his stupor. "Do you still wanna go?"

To their surprise, Ty nodded. "Sure. I think Alyssa might kill me if I back out now."

Marí snorted. Alyssa Reyes could be pretty terrifying at times.

With surprise Marí found that their spirts were lighter having cleared the air with Ty and with the prospect of a party being renewed.

She smiled. "All right then let's head out!" Marí smoothed down the long black wig over her shoulders and quickly smoothed out the long skirt of her black slinky dress before turning and exiting the training room.

She knew that she would have to talk to Kit at some point and that conversation would be brutal. But at least they could have one last night together.

It's better this way. Marí told themself as they walked back towards the main living room where everyone was gathered.  At least now Kit can be happy.

It's for the best.

It has to be.

So I'm actually planning on writing a part 3 from Kit's pov because the drama isn't over yet! 😏
