#I really want to get to at least 100k written

Fic authors self rec! When you get this, reply with your favorite five fics that you've written, then pass on to at least five other writers. Let’s spread the self-love 💗 (i don't know if you do these sorts of chain-letter things, or if you'd prefer not to, but for my part i do like to know which of their works a given author is especially hype on, so consider this an opportunity to gush!)
I do love the chain things! :D Just. Energy, y'know.
Can I rec all the writing?
A Superbat fic first: and it's a violent vertigo. Very explicit, and manages to hit all 4 of the BDSM letters. Quite proud of it honestly. :D
The Problem with Clark Kent - Explicit. Featuring Warworld Supes.... yeah. Also with some Dan Mora Bruce thrown in there. And aside from the insane thirst of Warworld Supes, also some fun roommate shenanigens!
And for Dreamling: (explicit)
god is dead and disappointed - demon!Hob/priest!Dream. This was very fun. I wrote half of it like I was possesed, so that was an experience. At least demon Hob pays rent in my head now. And waiting for people to get up to a certain scene is fun.
I wanna feel myself denied - I just really love.... messing with power dynamics. Even in the one dynamic there can be a thousand variations of it, and so. I am here. Writing the nth one, with more in my brain still. Anyway, this particular fic includes a scene in Dream's life that lives rent-free in his head. He wants more of it.
Going off that last one - my many dreamling drabbles! Altogether it's up to 100k+, which I did consistently for months. A very fun time, since I love thinking up new things, or riff off things talked about in servers or whatnot! I can see how my writing changes through the months of the drabbles, which is another point of fascination! How the words get easier or more fluid, and whatnot.
endless pawns playing a fixed game - Reacher inspired AU! Mainly because bodyguard Hob whose very good at killing. I'm writing a one-shot after it still because I love them and their complete lack of morals. And Hob's pointy shoes. And daggers.
Anyways. Yes. :D

Meet me in the afterglow
part 20 | masterlist | part 22

wc: 5k
warning(s): some discussions of yn and zuko's pasts but overall very fluffy
chapter title comes from afterglow by taylor swift!

Silence.
That was what Y/N woke up to.
No nightmares, no guilt, no flashbacks—just… silence.
And the arms of another around her. Zuko. She reveled in the warmth he provided, sighing contentedly as she shifted to look at him.
She’d always thought Zuko was beautiful, but he was even more so when asleep. His features relaxed rather than rageful, no longer tainted by her own incessant anger. Pools of gold met her when his eyes flickered open, a gentleness held within them she’d missed dearly.
“Hi,” she whispered, a smile already tugging at her lips.
“Hi.” His voice was just as soft, his own emerging smile enough to make her melt. “Did you sleep well?”
“Better than I have in months.” Y/N moved her hand over his, and Zuko turned his over to entangle their fingers. “And it’s all thanks to you.”
“It’s the least I can do,” he murmured, and he drew her in for a soft kiss. That was what made her melt. “You know I’m never letting you go again, right?”
A light laugh spilled from her lips. “I don’t want you to.”
“Good.”
Though she wanted nothing more than to nestle back into Zuko’s embrace, she mustered enough strength to sit up, a small yawn escaping her. “When do you think we should go back?”
Zuko sighed as he sat up next to her, running a hand through his rustled hair. “We have time, Y/N. We’re in your village, the place you grew up. We don’t have to go back until you want to.”
“We are on a timeline though—”
“A timeline that isn’t close to being up yet,” he countered. “Aang doesn’t have to fight my father for a while—a few extra days out here isn’t going to hurt us.” Zuko shrugged. “You deserve a break after all you’ve been through lately, and besides—I’m sure your people wouldn’t mind hosting the savior of the village for a little longer.”
Y/N laughed and pushed him lightly, eliciting a little half-smile from Zuko. “Okay, I get it. Another day would be really nice.”
“Are you sure you don’t want to stay longer?”
She shook her head. “The rest of today will be enough for me to help get things moving on the repair front. We’ve already been gone two days—any longer than this and Katara will think we’ve died.”
Zuko chuckled. “Alright.”
“Besides,” she said as she stood up and stretched her arms out, “after all of this is over, I’ll be able to come back anytime I want. And,” Y/N looked at Zuko, “I’ll be able to properly introduce you. As Zuko my boyfriend, and not Zuko the evil prince.”
He grinned. “Your boyfriend? Is that official?”
Y/N groaned and swatted at him. “Get out of here. I have to get dressed.”
“Anything for my beautiful girlfriend,” Zuko said as he got up, still wearing that ridiculous grin while he walked out.
Y/N rolled her eyes as he shut the door, but she couldn’t help but smile. It felt good, joking around like this. Having a lazy morning—waking up with him in the first place.
And yeah—hearing Zuko call her his girlfriend was pretty nice too.
She’d been longing for it for a greater time than she knew, and now that she’d worked through her anger, let it go, realized that this was what she wanted?
It was too great a feeling to put into words.
That small smile remained on her lips as she began to rifle through her belongings, the minuscule amount she’d packed for this trip in a tiny satchel. She wanted to change, but the only other clothes she had were the tunic and pants she’d worn for months in prison. They were sort of the only clothes she owned now.
The smile faded as she shoved them back into her bag. Maybe she could ask Leya to borrow one of her dresses for the day. That particular memory didn’t need to be resurfaced right now.
She blew out a loose sigh as she sat back down on the bed, allowing herself a moment to really take it all in.
Though Y/N had initially planned to get in and get out, the whole ‘taking back the village’ thing really threw a wrench in her hasty excursion. After last night—after the fight, the general, the grave—she was well and truly exhausted. Lao and Leya had immediately offered up the second bedroom of their home to her and Zuko, claiming it was ‘the least they could do after all she’d done’, and in the moment, Y/N wasn’t one to deny it.
She didn’t realize how worn out she was until she laid down on the bed—true exhaustion and the warmth of Zuko’s arms around her was a deadly combination—and she was out before she knew it.
It was the best she’d slept in a long time.
Because she didn’t have a new outfit, she opted for smoothing out the black fabric and her hair, and nodded to herself before she left the room. She was surprised to see Zuko leaning against the wall next to the door, his arms crossed as he stared off at nothing in particular.
“You waited?”
“Obviously. Life-threatening fights don’t have to be the only time we stick together.” She chuckled a bit as she slipped her hand into his, pleased at how familiar the motion felt.
“Of course.”
“Besides—” Zuko cleared his throat as his eyes darted away for a moment— “I’m kind of scared of Leya and Lao. I don’t think they really trust me.”
“What? Of course they do!” she exclaimed. “You took down the factory with Lao, and you helped in the fight for our village—they wouldn’t have offered you the place if they didn’t.”
“You weren’t there,” he said dryly. “Lao questioned me the entire way to the factory about you. And he might be okay about me now, but Leya still seems uneasy. They still don’t even know who I really am.”
“Who you are is Zuko. It doesn’t matter that you’re the prince—you’re Zuko, and you helped them. That’s all they’ll care about.” She gave him a slight nudge. “Things are different out here, away from the Fire Nation. People are tolerant. You’ve seen that while you’ve been away, right?”
It took Zuko a moment, but he nodded. His lips quirked in the smallest smile and he nodded again, as if he was actually starting to believe it. “Okay. Yeah.”
“Yeah,” she repeated. She swung their hands together a bit and started to lead the way. “Now let’s go. It’s nearly noon—we’ve gotta get our day started.”
“If you say so,” Zuko mused, and she just laughed.
“I do.”
“It’s good to see the two of you are finally awake,” Leya mused from her cushion as they emerged into the living room. “I was afraid you would sleep the whole day away.”
“If anyone deserves it,” Lao said, walking over from the kitchen, “it’s them.”
“Sorry.” Y/N scratched her neck, slightly bashful. “We were exhausted after yesterday.”
“No need to apologize,” Leya laughed, and she gestured towards the counter. “Help yourselves, please—we made xiaolongbao and egg custard tarts to celebrate. There’s far too much for just the two of us.”
“Are you sure?” Zuko asked tentatively.
“Of course we’re sure,” Lao said. “We’ve welcomed you into our home. Anything we have is yours, son.” He frowned. “I never did get your name.”
He paused. “...My name is Zuko.”
The name struck them like steel, tension immediately thick in the air even if just out of instinct.
“Like Prince Zuko,” Leya said carefully, “of the Fire Nation.”
“I don’t think I’m much of a prince anymore,” he frowned. “I did betray my entire country to help the Avatar.”
Lao glanced at Y/N, the unsaid question obvious.
“It’s the truth,” she said. “Zuko has been working with us for a good while now. He’s the Avatar’s firebending teacher, and he’s going to help us end the war.”
“Alright,” Lao said, and he nodded. “Welcome to our home, Zuko. Officially.”
His brows creased together. “Really?”
“You’re clearly a good man,” he said. “Not just anyone would do what you’ve done.”
“That’s not true.”
“It is,” Lao insisted. “You didn’t have to help free our village, but you fought on the front lines with us.” He smiled wryly. “That makes a man good in my book.”
“I agree.” Leya’s smile was softer, kinder, but held the same respect. “You’re just as much a hero to our village as Y/N is.”
Zuko looked like he wanted to protest, but Y/N placed her hand over his and nodded. He deserved the praise.
“...Thank you,” he finally said, wholly genuine. “You have no idea how much that means to me.”
“Any friend of Y/N’s is a friend of ours,” Leya said, and her lips quirked up. “Would you like to hear some of the terrible things she did when she was younger?”
“Leya—” Y/N began, but Zuko shook his head, his own smile growing.
“Tell me everything.”
She groaned as he pulled her over to the floor, two cushions already set for them. She could feel the heat rising to her cheeks as she sat down next to him, Leya and Lao launching into a story together from her childhood.
(She had always been a bit of a terror, especially after she discovered her waterbending. That didn’t mean she wanted Zuko to know about it.)
((“This is no way to treat the savior of the village,” she complained at one point. She was fully ignored.))
After spending far too many hours eating, chatting, and laughing (at Y/N’s expense), she and Zuko set out for the day. Y/N asked Leya for a spare outfit and she obliged immediately, so once again she found herself in Earth Kingdom greens and browns. The soft linen was the nicest reprieve from the scratchy prison clothes she’d been stuck in, and she had to admit—it was nice being back in Earth Kingdom clothes. It was just as much a part of her as the North.
The rest of the day was busy but fulfilling, working long into the night to make up for the damage from the battle. Most of their efforts were spent architecturally, helping to repair houses that had been damaged and to tear down the Fire Nation estates.
It might have been property, but it was tainted beyond belief. South Zeizhou would never truly belong to her people again if any trace of the Fire Nation remained.
Y/N and Zuko had split halfway through the day to help with separate things—for some reason, her people were trusting her with designing. She spent the entire rest of the day running around helping various people, sketching up ideas for buildings and statues and everything else under the sun. It turned out that, when you saved an entire village of an eight year hold, they were just a little grateful.
(She denied the idea every time someone brought up building a statue of her. She was sure she heard Zuko go behind her back and tell them otherwise.)
She was kept so busy that she didn’t see Zuko again until that night, when she pushed open the door to Leya and Lao’s estate to see him sitting on the floor alone.
“Zuko,” she said, still getting used to the lightness his name brought her. It was more comforting than anything. “What are you doing up?”
“I should be asking you that,” he said with a slight smile, setting his bowl down. “You don’t have to work all night, you know.”
“I lost track of time,” she said sheepishly. “What are you eating?”
“Jook.” A faint blush tinted his cheeks as he gestured back towards the kitchen. “Leya and Lao turned in a few hours ago—they told me to tell you that you had free reign of their ingredients, but I didn’t want you to have to do it yourself after working so hard all day. So I made you something.”
Her whole expression softened. “Zuko, that’s so sweet.” She crouched down and pecked him on the cheek, warmth blooming in her chest. “I didn’t even know you could cook, being a prince and all.”
He chuckled. “Uncle taught me some things when we were in Ba Sing Se. I told him I didn’t need it, but I guess some of it stuck.”
Y/N took his spoon and tried some of the jook in his bowl. Her eyebrows shot up. “That’s surprisingly good.”
“Surprisingly?” he asked with mock disdain. “Why can’t it just be normally good?”
“Because,” she said, “I’ve never tried your cooking before.”
“That just settles it,” Zuko said. “When we’re back in the Fire Nation, I’ll ask the chefs to teach me some things. That way I can really impress you.”
“You don’t need to impress me, Zuko,” she said, and she stood up and walked over. “Just spending time with you like this is more than enough. We’ve got a lot of it to make up.”
He managed a soft laugh, but it was bittersweet. “Yeah. We do.”
Y/N filled her own bowl with jook and then walked back over, settling down next to Zuko. She placed her hand over his, smiling softly at him. “Tell me about your day.”
“It’s been… a lot,” he said. “I’ve helped tear down a lot of Fire Nation buildings. I melted a lot of metal.” He chuckled. “If only we brought Toph with us. Her metalbending would make things a lot easier.”
She laughed. “She’d become the foreman of this place. She could probably redesign everything herself.”
“What about you?” he asked.
“I did a lot of healing,” she said. “Turns out that sending a lot of middle-aged men and women that haven’t fought in years into battle against trained soldiers results in a lot of injuries.”
Zuko frowned. “Was it bad?”
“Not as bad as it could have been,” Y/N said. “Mostly twists and sprains and artificial cuts. One man got his arm broken, and I have no idea why he didn’t ask for help last night.” She shook her head. “No matter what nation I’m in, men always think they have to act tough.”
“I’m glad you’re able to help them,” Zuko said. “You know you’re amazing, right?”
She playfully shoved him. “Stop it.”
“Never.” He shrugged. “Like you said, I have a lot of time to make up for.”
“I guess flattery’s a good place to start,” she said coyly.
“It’s easier if you just accept it,” he said sagely, “because I’m not going to stop.”
Y/N laughed and leaned against his shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around her. “What was it like being back and seeing everyone? Did they all recognize you?”
“Maybe not immediately, but everyone knew my name.” Y/N smiled. “People don’t really forget the only waterbenders in village history.”
“Do you think this’ll ever be your home again?” Zuko asked.
“It’ll always be my home,” Y/N mused. “It’s where I was born, where I grew up. There’s a part of me in this village, and there always will be. But…” she sighed and shrugged. “I don’t know if I’ll ever live here again. I’ve been traveling all over with my friends for the past couple months, and it just feels like I’ve… outgrown it.”
“I understand,” Zuko said. “You’re different than the girl that grew up here. You’ve changed, and that’s not a bad thing.”
“I know. It just feels like betraying who I am.”
“A part of you is in this village,” Zuko said, “and a part of this village is in you. Just because you’re going somewhere else doesn’t mean you’re forgetting who you are.”
“When did you get so wise?” she asked, craning her neck to look up at him.
“Years of traveling with my uncle,” he said, and she laughed.
They spent the rest of the night idly chatting and finishing up their meal, and by the time they turned in, the village was completely dark.
It was quiet as they settled into bed together, Zuko’s arms around her setting her at ease. She felt safe next to him.
(Spirits, how she’d missed feeling safe.)
-
“Are you sure you have to leave so soon?” Leya questioned, her gaze watchful even as she stood in the kitchen.
“We have a war to end,” Y/N said, only slightly joking. “I’ll be back sooner than you know.”
“You’re making us all so proud, Y/N.” Lao patted her on the shoulder, and then he pulled her into a hug. “People will tell stories of you centuries from now, I know it. You’ve made history.”
“I’m just glad our people are finally free,” she said softly.
“And you, son.” Lao pulled away and looked down at Zuko, respect in his eyes. “Your path hasn’t been easy, but you’ve made it here. You’re welcome in our corner of the Earth Kingdom anytime.”
“I’m just doing what’s right,” Zuko said, but she could see the beginnings of his pleased smile.
“And sometimes that is the hardest thing to do.” Leya came over with a large basket, smile beaming down on the two of them as she handed it to Y/N. “This should be enough for your journey back and to share with the rest of your group.”
Y/N frowned. “Are you sure?”
“Of course we are,” Lao said. “Without the Fire Nation leeching off of us, we’ve got plenty to spare.”
“Thank you,” Zuko said. “This means a lot.”
“It’s the least we can do,” Leya said, and she grasped Y/N’s hands. “Promise me that you’ll be careful.”
“We’ll try our best,” she vowed, and she glanced at Zuko with a smile. “I’ve got a lot of good people with me.”
“You,” Leya pointed at Zuko, tone motherly as ever, “make sure nothing happens to her.”
“That was already the plan,” he said with a chuckle.
“So,” Lao said wryly, “what’s the next thing I should expect from our heroes and the Avatar?”
Y/N smiled inwardly. “Change is coming. That’s for sure.”
-
The ride back to camp was quiet, but different kind of quiet from before. Y/N and Zuko switched off on flying shifts, occasional conversation filling the gaps—more often than not, though, they just sat together. Her head on his shoulder, his arm around her, her fingers rifling through his hair.
The fresh air invigorated Y/N. She felt like a whole new person, the dread and anger and heaviness she’d been carrying with her for months steadily dissolving.
Zuko’s constant presence was nice too.
Without her inner dread, supremely thick tension, and a week of sleep deprivation, she was actually able to enjoy the trip back home. It went quicker than the ride there, and she never thought she would be so thankful to see an island.
Tiny specks in the distance turned into her friends the closer they got, and she and Zuko shared a smile. Y/N was going to have a lot of explaining to do.
“You guys are finally back!” Sokka exclaimed once they were in hearing distance. “Where did you even go?”
“You’ve got some nerve leaving like that without a word!” Katara yelled, but the moment Y/N slid off of Appa’s side she barreled over and pulled her into a hug. She knocked the air out of her completely, but Y/N laughed as she wrapped her arms around her in turn.
“I’m sorry,” she breathed. “It was something important.”
“She’s been worried sick about you,” Toph spoke up.
“So have you!” Aang piped in. “You were asking about it y—”
Toph punched Aang on the shoulder, and he stopped. “What was that for?”
“What she doesn’t know won’t hurt her,” Toph said, cheeks flushing pink.
“You didn’t answer my question,” Sokka interrupted. “Where did you two even go?”
Y/N let out a long deep breath, and Zuko nodded supportively when she glanced at him. “We… went back to my village. The other day was the anniversary of my father’s death, so I went to honor him.”
“Oh, Y/N,” Katara murmured, and she pulled her back into a hug. “I’m so sorry. Why didn’t you tell us?”
“I thought it was something I had to do on my own,” Y/N said, pulling away after a grateful moment. “If I had my way, I would have. But Zuko pushed his way on.”
“It’s not my fault you’re so stubborn,” Zuko said. “Besides, it was obviously the right move.”
Sokka frowned. “You guys are being really nice to each other.”
Aang’s eyes lit up. “Did you two have your life changing field trip?”
It was Y/N’s turn to frown. “Life changing field trip?”
“That’s what they’re calling it,” Toph explained. “All the trips that they’ve gone on with Zuko to be his friend or whatever. I still haven’t had one.”
Zuko stared at her. “I woke up with rocks in my bed every day for a week.”
“Yeah, but we didn’t go anywhere,” she grumbled at the ground.
Y/N chuckled, though her expression sobered. “I thought I was just going to remember my father, but it turned out that the Fire Nation was still occupying my village. So Zuko and I pushed them out.”
Katara’s eyebrows shot up. “Just like that?”
“It wasn’t that easy—” Zuko said, but he was interrupted when Sokka patted—or rather hit—him on the back.
“Nice going, buddy! That’s how you get your girl back.”
He glared daggers at Sokka but Y/N just laughed. “It took a lot of fighting and some haphazard plans, but… yeah. We took my village back. My people are free, and I got to see my father’s grave.”
Katara’s entire expression softened. “I’m so happy for you, Y/N. That’s— that’s amazing. And… is it back?”
Y/N nodded with a smile, and she formed a ball of water out of the air. “My bending is officially back.”
Katara screamed and she nearly tackled Y/N with another hug. “Thank the spirits! I knew you could do it!”
“Life changing field trip always works,” Aang mused.
“Well, whatever you did, it worked,” Toph said. “I’m happy I don’t have to see the two of you mope around all the time anymore.”
Zuko frowned. “You can’t see.”
“Trust me,” Toph muttered, “some things transcend sight.”
Y/N smiled, and she took Zuko’s hand, tears welling in her eyes. “I really missed you guys.”
-
Later, once they’d unpacked all their things from Appa and properly decompressed, Y/N found herself sitting on her own by the cliffside once again. This time, though, she wasn’t trying to hide her mourning from her friends or foster the burning inside of her chest. Instead, she played with an orb of water in the air, a small smile on her lips at the effortlessness of it all. Not only were they surrounded by water on all sides, but the Fire Nation’s climate meant there would always be moisture in the air.
Oh, how she’d missed her bending.
She didn’t flinch when she heard footsteps behind her, able to see the reflection in her orb—instead, she flicked her hand and shot the water back at her visitor.
“Hey!” Zuko complained, sputtering as it struck him in the face. “What was that for?”
She giggled as she turned her head. “I had to make sure you remember who you’re dealing with.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he said, grimacing a bit as he wiped water droplets off his face, “my girlfriend is super powerful and can take down anyone. That doesn’t mean you have to take me down.”
“Oh, you’re so dramatic.” Y/N smiled as she stood up and flexed her fingers, drawing all the water out of his clothes. “It was barely anything.”
“This time,” Zuko said, and he gestured around them with a wry smile. “We’ve got a whole ocean around us.”
“I’m not that powerful,” she said.
“Maybe,” Zuko said, “but I don’t trust you and Katara together.”
“You don’t have to worry about that anymore.” She chuckled as she took his hand. “What’d you come over here for?”
“You’re not allowed to mope around by yourself anymore,” Zuko said. “We’re having a campfire and digging into some of the food Leya gave us.”
“I’m not moping,” she complained.
“Not anymore,” Zuko clarified, and he chuckled at her expression. “Still. You have to join us.”
“Of course,” Y/N said, and they started walking over together. “I’m excited for some actual food after the past few months.”
Zuko frowned. “I made you jook last night. That was perfectly good food.”
“You know what I mean,” she groaned. “Yes, it was perfectly good food. I’m just excited for more of Lao’s xiaolongbao. That man makes miracles in the kitchen.”
“I’ll have to get him to give me the recipe next time we visit,” Zuko mused.
She looked at him, slightly surprised. “You want to go back?”
“Of course,” he said. “It’s the place you’re from. And besides,” he shrugged, slightly bolstered, “I am one of the saviors of the village.”
She laughed and leaned her head against his shoulder.
“Of course.”
-
“It’s about time you guys got here,” Toph grumbled. “Katara won’t let any of us eat.”
“They’re here now,” she said, “you can—”
Katara didn’t even get to finish her sentence before Toph started digging in, and she just shook her head with a sigh.
“We’re glad that you’re here,” she offered with a slight smile.
“Katara’s mostly glad that you’re back,” Sokka said, his mouth full of food earning him a glare from his sister. “I think you two have separation anxiety or something.”
“Can you blame me?” Katara defended. “You were gone for weeks and we had no idea what happened to you. You can’t just up and disappear with Zuko.”
“To be fair, you tried to do the same thing,” Sokka said.
“To be fair, you thought Y/N was going to kill Zuko,” Katara shot back.
Zuko’s eyes widened slightly. “Uh, no. We never went that far.”
Not with him at least, Y/N thought with the smallest bit of guilt. Not for what she did, but for keeping it from her friends. That was a whole other problem she had to deal with, and definitely not tonight.
(Maybe not ever.)
“Let’s talk about something else,” Y/N said, and Zuko put his arm around her, pulling her close. She couldn’t help but smile. “What have you guys been up to while we’ve been gone?”
“It was only three days,” Sokka said. “We didn’t get up to that much.” But he wouldn’t stop staring at them, and Zuko frowned.
“What?”
“Nothing,” he said with a shrug. “I just realized I’ve never been around you two when you actually liked each other.”
Zuko’s cheeks flushed bright pink as Y/N laughed. “You really haven’t, huh?”
“Why did you have to say that?” Toph groaned. “Now they’re going to be extra gross.”
“What, you mean like this?” Zuko pulled Y/N into a kiss, but she didn’t even get the chance to enjoy it before something hit the two of them.
Y/N pulled away and picked it up, scowling at Sokka. “Is this your shoe?”
“There are children here!” he complained. “You two really are gross.”
“I think it’s sweet,” Katara said, and she hit Sokka on the shoulder. “Leave them alone.”
“I’m just trying to protect the sanctity of this place!” he exclaimed.
“I’m on Sokka’s side,” Toph piped in.
As the group devolved into accusations and conversation with occasional pauses for food, she leaned into Zuko’s side and sighed contentedly.
This was the life she’d been chasing so long. All they had to do was end the war.
And after everything she’d been through, that seemed like the easiest part of the journey.
-
Things cooled down after a while, and they began to go their separate ways. Sokka and Suki went off together, Aang went to meditate and clear his mind, and Toph went off to do spirits knows what. Y/N was close to nodding off against Zuko’s side—she was sure he already had himself—when she heard Katara’s voice.
“Hey,” she said, gesturing away from the fire with her head, “can I have you for a second?”
Y/N nodded, yawning as she tried to blink the grogginess out of her vision, and the two of them walked over. “What’s up?”
“This is something I’ve been wanting to give to you for a while, but it hasn’t been the right moment.” Katara grinned. “But it is now.”
She pulled something out from behind her back, and when she presented it Y/N realized it was a water skin, almost identical to the one she’d given her months ago in Gaoling.
“Both of ours were taken away at Ba Sing Se, but I was able to get a couple new ones from some of the Water Tribe soldiers when we ran into them. And now that you’ve got your bending back…”
Katara trailed off as she offered it up again, but instead Y/N crushed her in a tight embrace.
“Thank you,” she said, unable to hold back her own smile. “For thinking of me even then.”
“Always,” Katara said, returning the gesture with just as much intensity. When she pulled away, her eyes shone.
“It’s good to see you like this,” she said softly. “Happier. Lighter. You look better than you have in months.”
“I feel better,” Y/N admitted. “I know that I needed to forgive Zuko, and maybe it was the spirits’ plan to make the road so treacherous. But it feels so good to have him again.”
“It feels good to not have you two arguing all the time,” she said wryly.
Y/N chuckled. “Just imagine how I feel.”
“What do you think is next for you two?” Katara asked. “After the war is over, I mean.”
“I haven’t really thought that far in the future,” she admitted. “After everything, I’m just trying to live in the moment.”
“I think that’s a perfect idea.”
Y/N smiled. “So do I.”

Chaotic Roommate Prompts mayhaps?
List of chaotic roommate prompts
Character A hearing a knock on their window. Considering how they live on the second floor, they don’t think much of it — might be a tree branch scraping past with how windy it is tonight. Then they hear it again — the distinct thumping against their window pane. Raising a brow, they pull their curtain aside and see Character B grinning at them through the glass, dangling on a thick tree branch. “What the fuck?!” they yelp, quickly opening the window and being met with a cold draft. “What are you doing, [name]? Are you fucking insane?!” They quickly help Character B clamber through their window. “Sorry,” Character B says once they’re safe and sound on Character A’s bedroom floor. “I forgot my keys, and since you usually ignore anyone knocking at the front door, I figured this was my best bet. Which it was, so no harm done!”
“Why are you naked.” “Because the air-conditioning’s not working.” “Okay, but you really don’t need to chill out in your birthday suit on the couch of all places. This is a shared space!” “It’s not like you haven’t seen me naked before.” “That’s not the point.”
Character B loudly sobbing over their ex for the eighth night in a row (at least that’s what Character A thinks) and so, being the nosy person they are, they decide to check up on them, only to find out they’ve been sobbing over a 100k worded fanfiction they found on AO3. “Are you fucking serious?” Character A grumbles, while Character B wipes under their eyes with their suspiciously snotty tissue. “It’s not my fault this fic is so well-written!”
“I’m going to need you to stop coming back drunk at two in the morning, spouting the dumbest conspiracy theories known to mankind because I’m losing a lot of brain cells because of you.”
Character B, when drunk, would end up curled up on the middle of Character A’s bed. Character A has learned the lesson of trying to wake them up during those moments, so whenever this happens, they leave them be and resort to sleeping on the couch.
Character B trying to take care of Character A when they fall sick but instead, make a mess of the kitchen. “…It’s the effort that counts,” Character A says monotonously as they survey the degree of damage done to the kitchen the next day.
Character B sitting on Character A’s lap when there’re seats and couches throughout the house for them to plop their asses on.
(If they’re close enough) Character B making moaning sounds in the background if they happen to be in the same room as Character A and Character A’s on the phone with their parents.
“That’s not how you change a lightbulb!” “Well, I’m no lightbulb technician!” “I already told you I know how to change a fucking lightbulb yet you took it to tasking yourself with this!”
Character B sneaking a speaker into Character A’s room and blasting their music to scare the fuck out of Character A and, also, to wake them up.
“Stop stealing my takeaway, you dipshit!”
“Okay, you’re not going into the kitchen ever again! You’re not allowed near any sort of stove from now on!” “But—” “No buts, I don’t want this place to be burned to crisps! I want my deposit back, for God's sake!”
“Can you stop telling my parents that we’re dating?” “I’m only sparing you from them asking why you’re still so pathetically single.”
“I know you’ve been stealing my hoodies from my closet.”
“Can you lock the door the next time you take a shower?” “Maybe you should learn how to knock, how about that? Plus, no one gets to see this plump ass very often so you should count yourself lucky.”

Let me preface this by saying I did check your FAQ but I didn't see this there yet I still find it hard to believe no one has asked you this at least a thousand times so if they did and I just missed it I'm sorry and you can delete this ask but—
You write such beautiful, detailed fics with lots of foreshadowing that often starts from the very beginning of the story. I think you made an author note once about only posting the first chapter of a fic after you've written the whole thing (or maybe that was Andie...?). If so, is the time between updates just you going through and rereading / editing like 100k words?
Basically, I want to ask: what is your fic planning process like? From the moment you get a first idea to posting the last chapter, what does I look like? I think you're a really, really amazing (one of the absolute best if not THE best) author but I cannot fathom how one human being can write such mammoths of fanfiction and stay motivated enough to finish them.
Also you're already planning Halloween stuff ?? You plan things literally half a year in advance?? Are you even human? We don't deserve you. 😭
You called yourself lazy in the webcomic post but I think you must work unbelievably hard to make such high quality stuff and without even getting compensation for it. You're amazing and I'm very thankful to exist in the right timeline and fandom to read your work. :,)
(oh my god this became such a ramble I'm sorry)
Oh Ari. 🥺 Hello.
I update as I write! So that was probably Andie, lmao, who’s definitely the better example to follow when it comes to plotting/completing a fic. 🥺 She’s amazing and if I could fashion myself after any other writer in our niche, it would be Andie hands down!
But okay, let’s get into it. 📝
A little disclaimer, before we start; I did not go to school for any of this lmfao. The most relevant education I have behind me is a extra-circular literature class I had during my last two years of high-school. The only reason the following works for me is because I’ve cobbled it together from years of trial and error. You can read advice and watch youtube videos about the writing habits of famous authors, but you have to tailor everything you hear to suit you and the way you work. The best advice in the world from the highest paid author in the world won’t work if you’re not wired in the same way! You have to take everything about yourself and what you like and what you want into account!
Part I—first we take Manhattan
start ur fic lol
First thing’s first; I’m a plotter. I don’t pants. If I pants, I lose interest—I need to have the final vision in front of me, even if it’s just a bullet point. I have to know what I’m working towards. That is crucial to literally everything I do. Every fic you see on AO3, every WIP I’ve mentioned working on or wanting to work on—I have always known two things about them, immediately: the hook that gets us in there, and how they end.
So for fics in particular, the start might look something like—I get an idea (I want Reader and Bakugou to kiss). And then I sit there and I brainstorm to myself (What’s stopping them from kissing? Why does Reader want to kiss someone so rude when there’s so many other nice boys out there? Is Reader particularly kissable?). And then, if I’m lucky, I think of an ending (Reader and Bakugou finally kiss, but he’s the one that initiates it, because he’s always wanted to, because he likes that Reader always wears a yellow coat to work—it’s ugly and it sticks out among the black and tan ones of the crowd but he comes to associate it—and thus Reader—with routine and his mornings going well).
This is often the most fragile time of an idea. That hook (Reader and Bakugou kiss) might fall apart with a bit more prodding (why would they kiss? Reader’s a stranger to him; most of us don’t go around kissing random strangers just because we like their coats). Or maybe the hook sticks (they spend almost years in orbit around each other, a constant near-miss) but the ending doesn’t work (I don’t know how to move Bakugou to a position where he can kiss Reader, where he has the opportunity to). For every idea you see in action, or listed, there’s like three more that died during this stage and are now being cannibalised for spare parts.
Part II—running up that hill (a deal with fic)
work work work
If our idea survives, we then move to the “throw everything at the wall and see what sticks” stage; which manifests itself in this case as a doc, where I’ll just write any and all ideas I have for this little world so far.
For fanfics, it’ll generally look like—
TITLE
SUMMARY: Bakugou and Reader kiss.
(in which Bakugou first notices you because of your ugly yellow coat)
📝 Reader is allergic to diary products; for ages Bakugou thinks of her as That Cheesy Extra, because of the colour of her coat. She laughs when she eventually learns about this. (“I can’t even eat cheese,” you complain)
📝 Reader stops walking past the coffee shop Bakugou gets his coffee at, one day; moves??? Leaves the city to help a friend out for a few months. Despite himself it throws Bakugou off-kilter, and when he sees someone (not Reader) in a yellow coat during a villian attack, he momentarily loses focus—gets injured???? The news of his injury makes the news, Reader sees it in Bumblah nowhere.
📝 Her coat is donated accidentally by a roommate, in a mix up, for a charity she’s volunteering at; when Reader returns to the city, she has to make do with a new one, a more neutral colour. Bakugou recognises her anyway and that’s when he realises it was never about the coat (!!!!)
Like, this is actually a pretty good approximation of what all my current fics have looked like, at that stage, before I tidied them up and refined them into proper outlines. Because that’s what will happen next, once we have a rough idea of what we want! Things get moved, or removed—tightened. A rough plot outline takes shape! If I get any ideas for a sequel or a spin off that I might want to do, I’ll note them here (Reader’s roommate, Roomie, who’s working at a charity—eventually meets Shinsou, who’s working on a case. She thinks he’s homeless; he doesn’t realise. They carry on like this for a while.)
Once I have a rough outline (rough meaning in bulletpoints), I’ll start on my more in-depth outlines—I do these chapter by chapter! I say this a lot, but they’re basically a really rough version of said chapter. So it might look like:
Reader’s walking to work; it’s cold enough that’s she’s wearing her coat. There’s a new coffee-shop opened on the corner—it’s full, popular, you think it might be because it’s at a crossroads between two different Pro Hero agencies. Reader glances at the window, interested, but then a friend calls out and you hurry along. Bakugou, inside the coffee-shop waiting for Half and Half to get his order, is affronted; your coat is ugly as shit, and he complains loudly about it to Shouto, who mentions something about Baku. having no room to complain about ugly colour choices.
The swap between Reader/You happens a lot because I’m not using my brain properly, at this stage—I’m just shovelling the sand I need into the sandbox. Once I finish my shovelling, I go back and I rewrite it—but better, LMAO. I flesh things out, I throw things away as needed, I add things in. It’s basically really, really intensive handholding and I would not recommend it for anyone who’s already daunted by the idea of plotting; I do it because if I don’t have a chaperone there (aka my outline) then I’m prone to getting distracted. I am basically the fanfic equivalent of the undiagnosed ADHD kid at the back of the class that only gets work done when they’re sat right in front of the teacher (and even then, there’s like a 50% chance it’s not actually work that’s happening but doodles of that weird pointy S thing over and over again).
Once it’s done, though, we have a completed chapter! I then post it and wait like a little crab under some rocks for people to be tricked into being nice to me, and then I dig back in and think nice thoughts about repeating this process to get chapter two. Eventually I will—and viola! Another chapter! We repeat that over and over until we get to the end of our original outline and we have a finished story. 😌📖
Part III—you’re on your own kid
motivation
No one ever likes this part, or what I’m about to say, because at best it sounds like saccharine fodder and at worse it’s out of touch with most people’s experiences in fandom, but—the only way to stay motivated when doing a long-haul fic is that you have to do it for yourself.
People are so kind to me, about the fics I’ve done; it’s part luck and part what I choose to write and part how I write it. And I mean—I share them because I want a little bit of attention, lmao, that’s natural because we’re humans, we all want attention. But here’s the thing, here’s the secret—I take these fics 110% deadly seriously. LOL. That sounds like a joke, but I do! I do that because it’s how I’m built and how I keep myself interested in them—because taking them seriously means I’m more invested in realising the ending I’ve imagined for them since day one.
If other people stopped being so nice about what I was writing, I would be sad—anyone would. 🥺 We all want to be told that we’ve done a good job. But I’ve had the ending for the Deku fic, for example, in my head since it’s predecessor was on-going. That is literal years of knowing how I want Izuku and Scribble’s story to end. If everyone disappeared tonight I would sulk, hardcore, and then I would finish that last chapter anyway. I would finish it because I’ve spent so much time and energy working on that story that not finishing it is a disservice to the world I built around those characters and most importantly to myself. I probably wouldn’t stress as much about it, LOL, if the audience shrunk back down to just me, but I’d still do it. 🥺
I write—and try to finish—these fics because I deserve to see them finished. I want the completed tick, on ao3. I want to look at it and know that I can do it—that I can start something as simple as Bakugou hating on some rando’s yellow coat, and bring it to the finish-line where they finally come together, and see each other, without the yellow coat or through a coffee-shop window.
And this is what I mean by like, tailoring things to suit you—because I know others might be perfectly content to imagine the ending for themselves, without writing it. Or maybe they don’t want to treat fic seriously, because it’s fun escapism. Maybe disappointment that it’s not received like they thought it would be sours the whole experience of fandom for someone—there’s no right or wrong to this. I know I can write for an audience of just me because I’ve done it before. The satisfaction has always come back to the same thing—knowing I finished it, and wrapped that world up as best as I could. You have to pick and choose your poison—and then you have to run with it.
I hope that answers at least some of your questions, Ari. 🥺 Thank-you for such a thoughtful ask; for being so sweet. 🥺 You’re amazing, and I’m the thankful one—I’m glad we’re here, together. 🌷🌾✨📖

Since it has been two years since I started writing again and I'm getting closer to finishing at least two longfics, I thought it'd be nice to have a bit of an overview of my ongoing and planned fics
Peverell's Progeny: Ongoing and no real ending in sight yet. I want to speed along the storyline more than I have. I think I'll go up to at least 50 chapters but likely far more, I have a broad outline. I'm guessing this will be my longest fic yet if it progresses as I've planned.
Knight of Mine: I am starting to have the ending in sight but it is still some way off. More time jumps are ahead to focus on the actual conflict of the story and to work on the resolution. I really enjoyed the lore I got to build here. I also need to work on the AUs AU, and expect one or two more chapters there.
Love, I like a challenge: a micro-fic that has expanded past 100K words. Oops? I am planning to finish this fic in less than 10 chapters, and I have a firm outline.
That has a ring to it: Completely written and being posted.
Not your captain: Pirate AU I have momentarily lost sight of. I will start working on it again, but I don't know when. I have all the important plotlines but still have to decide the order of things here and there
Spilt blood: 'Regency' AU I am currently writing that was a challenge prompt that also has gotten out of hand. Plot is clear, I could finish this in one or two weeks but I am just struggling to find the time.
The Silver Lining of Dirty Dancing: A Dirty Dancing crossover, where the DD storyline is adapted to fit Hinny. Yes, Harry is Baby. I have a very detailed plot outline handwritten. I will work on this as soon as Lilac and Spilt Blood have been written, probably. I don't know how long that will actually take.
If I missed any, don't hesitate to ask about it!

I fucking miss Noralities so much. I love her videos. I know she got into some pretty hot controversy I think twice awhile back, but honestly, I really don’t think it was that bad. I don’t watch isekai anime so I don’t really have an opinion on that, but the corn scene in Dr.Stone? Yeah that had me going…”wth…?” And of course like 15 YouTuber needs to make videos fucking TRASHING on Noralities and her opinions and her evidence. I even saw one heavily state her video was in the perspective of a “female anituber” and bruh has like an average of 10 views per video, an ugly set up, no real work put into her videos, ect., but because shes 1 woman who disagrees with Noralities, like 100k+ people are on her side and using her as a valid reasoning to further hate on Noralities.
I fucking hate the anime community bro. One mention of women and loli’s and you’re harassed and blacklisted.
Edit: also something I just noticed, when it’s a man talking about these issues with how women are written in shounen anime and how loli’s being sexualized is an issue, people will be fucking sucking their dicks because “he’s RIGHT! Finally someone talking about this!” But then when a WOMAN talks about these SAME ISSUES, it’s “anime are for MEN!” “Get out out our community NORMIE” “ugly bitch!” “You’re delusional!”
Edit 2: getting back into the anime community, or at least wanting to get back into it, is reminding me why I left and dipped off the internet for awhile a few years back-bc people fucking suck.

Stucky + Samtasha Masterlist
Are You Lost In Paradise? (ao3) - dameronpoetry E, 54k
Summary: The one where Steve and Bucky are both actors who meet on the Evening Show with Clint Barton. They fall for each other hard - as you'd expect - but things get in the way - though no one falls off any trains.
This is a tale involving motorcycles, cuddling, disgustingly cute emails, terrifying Russian actresses, heartbreak, snarky New Yorkers, ridiculously convoluted plots between interested parties, and maybe, just maybe love.
Dude, Where’s My Pants? (ao3) - debwalsh steve/bucky, natasha/sam N/R, 3k
Summary: In which Steve wakes up with the man of his dreams in his bed ... but apparently that’s his crush’s worst nightmare.
What happens in Vegas may spell the end of a beautiful friendship.
It’s a good thing Nat and Sam aren’t going to allow Steve and Bucky to get away with not talking about what happened ...
Family Placement (ao3) - notlucy E, 88k
Summary: Steve Rogers had a train ticket in hand and the chance to begin again after losing everything in Brooklyn - his father, his mother, the comfort and familiarity of home. Going west meant the opportunity to become his own man and stake his claim on the wide, flat prairie.
Then, of course, there was Bucky Barnes.
Fire Alarms (ao3) - starlight_starbright E, 11k
Summary: Something sets the fire alarm of and, thankfully, Steve forgets his room key.
I literally cut myself out of my pants. Waste. Of. Money. (ao3) - relenafanel M, 6k
Summary: Hey friend of Sam’s can I get an opinion on this outfit? Bucky texted, attaching the selfie taken in Sam’s bathroom mirror.
He received an answer almost immediately. Bucky was almost expecting a lecture, or at least a concerned question about who had stolen Sam’s phone.
He got neither.
New text from Steve: What do you want it to say?
Or: Bucky strikes up a flirtation with a stranger over text message in the month leading up to Valentine's Day.
Laughter Lines (ao3) - drmcbones M, 100k
Summary: Bucky Barnes is a rising Hollywood star with a tragic past and a reputation for driving his bodyguards away. Steve Rogers is a veteran with the same tragic past and the need to get back out in the world. The two of them have been estranged since they were teenagers, so when Steve joins SHIELD as a bodyguard, he is less than thrilled when he finds out that Bucky is his first assignment. But how bad can it be? They're both professional adults, right?
Wrong.
Murder on the Dancefloor (ao3) - 74days T, 3k
Summary: After getting over a bad relationship, Steve is taken out for a night on the town by his best friend Sam. However, when he sees his ex on the dancefloor with a much hotter guy, Steve decides to grab the nearest guy and make out with him. It's actually a really good decision - if you don't count getting thrown out of the club.
Poltergeists (ao3) - enemyofrome T, 17k
Summary: When the helicarriers blow up and the Winter Soldier goes on the run, he takes Steve with him. He's got a name written in Morse code on the inside of his arm, a ton of questions he doesn't know how to ask, and now, a new handler with absolutely zero sense of self-preservation to contend with. Life is hard.
In which Bucky tries to figure out whether he's a human being, Steve does everything he can to keep from losing him again, and there are lots of explosions.
Shoot a Hole into the Sun (ao3) - keire_ke, PR Zed (przed) T, 28k
Summary: It was Nat who'd noticed the pattern. Every afternoon at exactly the same time, Steve and Barnes would share a heart-in-their eyes-hug, and then moon over each other at a table in their favourite coffee shop in the Tower.
Sam and Nat spend their afternoons making fun of the old people in love. Which maybe isn't the smartest thing in the world when they just might be in love themselves.
The Daily Rogers (ao3) - Nonymos E, 32k
Summary: College AU. May contain exchange students, a Starbucks addiction, daddy issues, anger issues, closets and how to get out of them, the ever-ominous influence of social networks, various levels of betrayal, awfully poor life choices, but also, ultimately, real chunks of love.
The Right Way to Fall (ao3) - Taste_is_Sweet T, 41k
Summary: He's just scruffy enough that most people would avoid eye contact in case he asked them for change. But his eyes are startling blue and stark and wild, and he looks at Sam and Sam looks at him, and yeah. Turns out he knows where Bucky is after all.
Except, Sam reminds himself, this isn't Bucky. This is the Winter Soldier, who's gone completely, absolutely still like an animal trying to decide whether to attack or run. And Sam is suddenly, terribly aware of all the people around them: all the tourists and the kids on their field trips; all the families with their babies and toddlers; all the sentimental fools like him come to visit Captain America on an overcast Wednesday afternoon.
But Sam has also seen that expression on the men and women who come to his counseling sessions. He's seen it in the mirror more times than he cares to count. He knows that kind of fear and pain, just like he knows that the man who was once James Buchanan Barnes could have already killed him. Killed as many people as he wanted to, and run.
He could have, but he didn't.
Through a dark night, without a sunrise, love will tell us where to go (ao3) - LunaCanisLupus_22 E, 126k
Summary: “I know you,” he says faintly.
“Yes,” the man agrees without looking up. “I’m Captain America.”
That’s no it. That can’t be it. There’s something more. There’s something-
“No.” The declaration is persistent now. “I know you.”
Or the one where Bucky doesn't remember being Bucky or the Winter Soldier but ends up a little too interested in Captain America anyway.
Welcome to the Jungle (ao3) - neversaydie E, 44k
Summary: "What do you think about guy-guy scenes?"
He was too self-conscious to act, modelling didn't pay enough, and time out of school for the medical trial that fixed his body had left him barely scraping a pass on his GED. He shared an apartment with a burlesque dancer, and she'd talked him into it over a weekend and way too much tequila.
Three pictures and one embarrassingly short amateur jerk-off video later, and here he is.
"Gay scenes?"
His mom can never find out about this.
[Porn Industry AU]
When Life Gives You Lemons (ao3) - starbunny G, 9k
Summary: Steve's idea of a simple life consisted of two things. First, drawing and taking art commissions whenever he pleased, and second, taking care of his wonderful garden.
What it did NOT include was: Having the local wildlife unanimously decide that his garden was the greatest sanctuary ever, attracting the attention of the mysterious species of humans known as 'The Avengers', or starting a war with a cunning raccoon that destroyed everything in Steve's garden, then learning that the raccoon was not really a raccoon after all and Steve should have really known better.
What has become of his life?

Hi gang
I see were talking about Jonathan Piss ass ToiletJon again
And as someone who was fucking THERE, WORKING FOR HIM WHEN EVERYTHING DROPPED
Oh my FUCKING GOD AM I SO PISSED OFF.
Welcome to my rant/vent
Mutuals look away Im sorry
Tw// for grooming and manipulation. General gross things in that area
Also Jinbop.
First of all Ashlie and Jon did was gross, but where Jon failed at literally everything Ashlie succeeded.
When the news dropped of what happened in 2017 Jon made a fucking video of him crying like a little man child, and then pressed charges (also doxxed himself like an idiot) WHICH IS INSANE BEHAVIOR. Even in his written respone he was only making excuses.
At that time I was in very close connection with him, I was on his build team, I played multiple games with him. He would come into vc and hang out with us for several hours, you could consider us friend maybe! I wouldnt.
But I was at the very least in a lot of personal servers.
So when things dropped I knew almost all of the behind the scenes BULLSHIT that was happening. How everyone waited for it to blow over and stuck by him. (I got kicked out of servers too cause people knew i was against him but I was still told everything by friends who were still in there)
Then February happened. And so much more, much worse things got exposed. From only his end. I won't mention who was involved, out of privacy reasons and because I dont want to drag them into this. But holy shit dude everyone left him after that. It was over, his gross behavior with minors (included me now that i think about, sir why are you calling me and my friends cute we are 15-) His awful and manipulative behavior with people he finds useful, how he treats his teams
. He never credited anything, I made his goddamn Dimensions s2 designs, Eddie made the skins. Only Eddie was mentioned, once on a stream.
Eddie also made designs and skins for Rosethorn, and got credited in video no less.
Its not that hard and yet!
The main point is
He was still acting in 2020, the incident was in 2017. And he was acting like this, in late 2020. Into 2021.
I wanted him to get better. I really did, I had been hyperfixated on this group of people for years it hurt a lot.
But its been almost three years and he infact has stayed the same!
He is a grown ass man acting like a toddler on a public twitter account, what makes this man some one to respect in any sort of way.
Theres so much more shit I know about this man, that I can't fucking say because of the people involved not giving me permission too. And I respect that. Thats their story to tell.
Now ashlie on the other hand.
Ashlie made a concise apology and owned up to her actions, shit she made sure not to happen again. She went to fucking therapy, she broke off that relationship first and has made so much effort to distance herself from that and apologize everyday of her life.
She went to therapy after breaking things off, and she went again after the callout just to double fucking check she wasnt a horrible person.
She initially handled everything that happened in 2017 in private, like youre supposed to do. Not have a public twitter meltdown. And in late 2020 still handled mostly everything privately. She wrote out a full explanation and apology that is still very visible on her yt channel, not her twt her full 100k subscriber yt channel
I THINK, THATS GROWTH and she should be respected for that. She's actively changed as a person from the 20yr that made mistakes
And what's crazy is that Max and Ross still make youtube videos with her.
Max and Ross, YKNOW. The people who made sure fucking Jinbop got arrested and stomp Sky's name into the fucking ground for the shit that Sky did. I 100% trust those two to make a decision about a person in their circle when theyre doing some FUCKED SHIT.
IN FACT, THEY DID DROP ASHLIE WHEN THE ALLEGATIONS CAME OUT. SHE WAS IMMEDIATELY KICKED OUT OF EVERYTHING INVOLVING THEM
And they came back. They came back and started making new things and videos with her, Ross is an active participant in almost all of her videos.
I think that speaks wonders about her.
Don't drag her name through the ground I respect that woman and all of her endeavors in the future, she has more than made up for the fact.
Jon is still an awful person, and I dont think he will ever change. He's had more than ample time to and acts like whinny child on Twitter. Actively tries to pull nostalgia bait on his dying yt channel and mocks his ex "friends'" work. I want him gone from the youtube sphere and to get an actual life.

Is there any change of getting the POVs from other people in the wolf story? Specifically what they think about each other vs what they think about themselves? Cause when we got skys thoughts about wild when compared to wilds thoughts about himself sky was far more thinking that wild just needed to be a bit more confident in himself, meanwhile wild thinks really negatively about roles that are not alpha or beta(at least when thinking about himself in those roles) while the others really dont seem to think that way
Sorry, the story is written just between Sky and Wild’s POV! They work well for exactly the reason you said; their thoughts on differences are very stark.
While I could turn this into another long series like Wing Bois or Eldritch, I don’t plan to at this time. There’s just not enough interest and interaction, ya know? It’s a lot of work to write multiple 100K stories 🫠
So, the compromise is that it might not cover every character or scenario, but I figure that’s better than no story at all!
I know we aren’t too far in, but if anyone ever wants to tackle a side story of what the pack does, or a prequel of their life before this story, I’d love to read it!

Fic authors self rec!
When you get this, share your favorite five fics that you've written, then tag at least five other writers. spread the self-love ❤
I wasn't tagged, but saw this around other Horizon fans, and wanted to try to do it as well. I typically struggle to think kindly toward my writing, but I do have a few that are definitely better than others. Enjoy! :D
A Light in the Dark - Star Wars Rebels, Kallus/Zeb, T - My first Kalluzeb fic. I actually think this one turned out quite nice. I feel that I did a pretty good job with the set up, execution, and tone of the story. Though it's technically pre-relationship, I tried to cram in as much subtle fluster and blossoming sexual tension as I could.
To Lives of Peace - Horizon, Ikkotah/Chekkatah, G - A canon-compliant fic for my favorite Horizon pairing. They're canon too, though we never get to see them together in-universe. I liked how this one turned out too. Short and soft (in my opinion), with a bittersweet ending, because we all know what happens.
The Unconquered Sun - Horizon, Fashav/Kotallo, M - I rate this as M because it's not happy or fluffy, but pretty tough. I've gotten mixed reviews for this story. Some have claimed it very good, others that it's depressing. The reason it's on my list is because it proved to myself that I can actually write a long fic. I'm not doomed to write only >10k word one shots. It's not my best work; it could really use an editor's touch to carve it down to under 100k words and tighten up the story, but I was so proud of myself for getting it all written and it turned out basically how I'd envisioned it. And I wrote it all under the cover of darkness so my now ex-partner didn't know about it.
Tenakth Territory, Not Carja - Horizon, Ikkotah/Chekkatah, T - This one was just really fun for me to write, and it turned out pretty OK, in my opinion. I love the idea that Fashav was a big ol' flirt with Ikkotah and Chekkatah boils over with jealousy. It's a dynamic that amuses me to no end. I should post the follow-up scene that I left in the comments section...
A Tender Touch - Star Wars Rebels, Kallus/Zeb, T - Self-indulgent pre-relationship fluff. I wanted Kallus to give Zeb a foot rub and they both feel bashful about how much they both liked it.

Hi betts, I would love any advice please 💜 I've been writing original fic for myself for many years and it's been fun. But I want to publish my writing, and now I've got 2 issues: 1 - I have never stuck to an idea once I decide to write something that others will see. It's like stage fright and I'm throwing away idea after idea. And 2 - I'm literally not used to "trying" to write well anymore. There are moments in my writing that are much better than others, just a flow or getting into the zone, whatever, but I don't have to try. It's easy to write 10-15k words a day without the pressure to do it well, but now it's grinding and fussing over every sentence and paragraph, the pressure chokes it and my writing reads strangely no matter what I do or tell myself. I studied writing at university and always seriously choked when showing people my work then, too.
Would drafting/editing practice help this at all? Publishing fragments to loosen up and "test the water" before attempting a finished story? I'm a perfectionist and am rarely if ever vulnerable with others, which has me questioning why I even put myself in this position!! I'm so demotivated and wondering whether I'm a writer who really wants to do this, or just an escapist. Thank you for reading 💜
hmm, perhaps i'm missing something. if you've been writing original fiction for yourself for years, at 10-15k a day, that means you have a portfolio of work. a large portfolio. you don't have to make anything new. i would just go through what you've already written through the lens of an audience seeing it--which will suck and feel awful--and pick out the stuff that has merit. somewhere in there has to be something you can punch up. find the piece or excerpt or chapter that you feel is the least terrifying for someone else to see, then go through the revision process with it. identify the weakest sentences and play around with them. do some major developmental revision and rewriting. i don't think you have to start from scratch.
churning out 10-15k a day is an insane feat. even if you think the writing isn't any good, it is an exceptional skill to even be able to generate that many words. my 10-15k days are pretty rare and i usually have to sleep 9 hours to get my brain back. the thing is, the process from down draft to up draft is a slow one. you might be able to *revise* 10k in a day, and that might look like one good paragraph, and that's just the way of things. if you have a 100k project you wrote for funsies, it's possible that maybe 5k of a subplot may end up developing the premise of a different story that you end up fully rewriting anyway. but it's a lot easier to give yourself the task of revising an existing idea for an audience to read, even if you're embarrassed by it, than it is to generate a completely new one.

Hi Liv, thank you for all your wonderful recs! I was wondering about your favourite fics written in the present tense, if you have any x
Hi anon, that’s such an interesting ask! Present tense can be really cool especially for case fics, I love how immersive and urgent they get. The funny thing is that I hadn’t realized how many of my personal favourites are actually written in the present tense until I made this list, you’ve probably seen me reccing all of these before 😂 happy readings!
Mortal Frame by @tackytigerfic (M, 6.6k)
Draco’s on a mission, and this time it's personal. But it's not easy to track down something that no one wants to talk about, especially when Harry Potter keeps popping up everywhere Draco goes. Though at least he’s on Draco’s side this time, and if he happens to be useful, and kind, and great in bed—well, Draco’s not exactly complaining.
An Emerald In The Sky by corvuscrowned (M, 6.6k)
The hardest part about shagging an Unspeakable is that they’re not allowed to speak of anything. All Draco knows is that Harry works in Time. Harry works in Time, and while he’s out there in all of that time, it is as unforgiving to him as it is to anyone.
Nothing Left to Burn by @skeptiquewrites (E, 10k)
Over ten years after their fling crashed and burned, Harry runs into Draco and finds embers still burning bright. Sometimes your ex-lover is (metaphorically) dead. And sometimes it's summertime in Montreal and the past won't let go.
How We Throw Our Shadows Down by thistle_verse (T, 14k)
Draco has finally found the perfect, rare piece to complete his collection. The only problem is that the item belongs to Harry Potter, the last wizard on earth Draco wants to ask another favour from.
With Hands Full of Dusk by corvuscrowned (E, 15k)
Harry thought he'd found what he was searching for after the war. But as the quiet life he's earned begins to unravel at the seams, he finds himself searching instead for an elusive, mythical creature found only in lore and legend - with none other than Draco Malfoy as his companion.
White as Snow by bixgirl1 (E, 19k)
After a quick escape from danger, Harry and Draco find themselves trapped in a blizzard, a small cabin their only refuge from the storm. It's the perfect place to recover and regroup — and to have a long-overdue conversation or two.
Vale Sanare by RurouniHime (M, 23k)
Draco’s world gains a new component just when he thought he’d sorted everything out.
Waiting By An Open Door by Femme and noeon (E, 29k)
Draco starts following Potterwatch secretly during the War. He wishes Potter would come save him too. But that sort of thing only happens in fairy tales, and Malfoys don't get fairy tale endings, do they?
Open For Repairs by @drarrytrash (M, 35k)
After the war, Draco works at a tv repair shop and Harry breaks things.
In The Red by bixgirl1 (E, 45k)
When Harry goes looking for a vampire at a Creature club, the second-to-last thing Harry expects is to find Malfoy working there.
Turn From Stone by @harryromper (M, 45k)
Harry knows there’s nothing he can do to stop Hermione (war hero, historian, author of the reissued “Hogwarts: A History”) once she sets her mind to something. Even an extremely risky last-ditch effort to restore the ancient castle and lay its newest ghosts to rest. What he wasn’t counting on was her insistence that Draco Malfoy be part of the plan.
Little Compton Street (One Rainy Night in Soho) by @writcraft (E, 65k)
Draco is lonely, Harry hates the press and it won’t stop raining in London. Harry discovers a magical street that’s close to disappearing forever and Draco realises he’s one rainy night in Soho away from finding everything he’s been searching for.
Who we are in the shadows by @quicksilvermaid (E, 100k)
What happens when you’re forced to become the very thing you despise? Ex-Auror Harry Potter, tossed out of the Ministry for something he had no control over, has been looking for a way back to his former life.
A Sword Laid Aside by korlaena (E, 128k)
When Draco’s cover is blown during a deep undercover operation and the Ministry is compromised, Ron takes Draco to the only safe place he can think of—Potter. Hiding out with a taciturn Harry Potter, who has been missing from the Wizarding World for almost two decades after a shocking fall from grace, is nothing like Draco thought it would be.
What We Pretend We Can't See by gyzym (M, 131k)
Seven years out from the war, Harry learns the hard truth of old history: it’s never quite as far behind you as you thought.

20 Questions for Fic Writers
Thanks for tagging me @bywayofmemory!
1. How many works do you have on AO3? 82.
2. What's your total AO3 word count? 128,198.
3. What fandoms do you write for? Currently, LOTR, Silmarillion, Narnia, and Timeless. I'd like to get back to writing Turn fics, though. I have a couple ideas for oneshots that have been rattling around in my brain.
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
winter-touched, frost-bitten (Spinning Silver, T, Miryem/the Staryk Lord, 1.1k): A missing scene in which Miryem strikes a new bargain with the Staryk Lord.
As the Hare Flees Before the Wolf (Silmarillion, T, Eöl & Celegorm, 1.8k): Curufin is not the only son of Fëanor Eöl meets upon the plains of Himlad. Or, Eöl meets Celegorm while pursuing Aredhel and Maeglin, and things go very badly for him.
Here at Journey's End (LOTR, G, Frodo & Legolas, 1.6k): They stay for those they love.
West, West Away (LOTR, G, Sam & Thranduil, 3.6k): Sam meets an unlikely kindred spirit on the journey West.
and I will love with urgency, but not with haste (Silmarillion, T, Andreth/Aegnor, 3.1k): A summer evening spent in a glade near the shores of the Aeluin.
5. Do you respond to comments? Yep! It may take me a while, but I always do. The only exceptions are for cryptic comments that I don't understand and have no idea what to reply with.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Lol. Lmao, even. At least half of my fics are nothing but angst. So...*spins wheel* Let's go with darkness lies on the foaming waves between us (LOTR, G, Arwen & Celebrían & Elwing, 1k), in which Arwen shares the news of her choice with her mother.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? I do actually have a couple fics that would qualify for this (shocking, I know), but I have a special place in my heart for And There Make a Garden (LOTR, G, Éowyn, <1k). Éowyn finally being happy and content is everything to me.
8. Do you get hate on fics? Not since I returned to fandom in 2020 and started posting on AO3 (unless some of those aforementioned cryptic comments are badly worded hate). But I did get the occasional hateful comment back when I posted on FFN.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind? Occasionally and it's very vanilla.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written? Never written one.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen? I hope not!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated? Nope.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before? Nope.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship? I must be loyal to my thirteen-year-old self and say Faramir/Éowyn, my forever OTP.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I really would like to finish And Every Winter Turn to Spring (Turn, Anna/Hewlett), but I don't think I can rekindle the same enthusiasm I had for it during the height of my Turn fixation in 2020/2021. That, and I'm sure that if I were to pick it up again, I'd want to tear it apart and fix it up because it was one of the first fics I started writing after a years-long break from fic writing, and I'm certain I'd be embarrassed by parts of it now. And doing heavy editing like that feels overwhelming right now.
16. What are your writing strengths? Usually characterization and description, but I've been having trouble with my descriptions lately, and in a very strange twist, dialogue has—for the first time ever—been easier for me.
17. What are your writing weaknesses? Plots. You will be getting no 100k+ longfics from me. Sorry. Oneshots or bust.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic? I only use other languages when writing Tolkien fic and do so sparingly and always with translations in the author notes. All phrases are yoinked from RealElvish.net because I can't be assed to put Elvish sentences together myself. Sorry JRRT.
19. First fandom you wrote for? LOTR. A couple of ancient fics that have never and will never see the light of day.
20. Favorite fic you’ve written? It changes by the day, but I am very fond of On These Hither Shores (LOTR, G, Frodo & Boromir, 3.2k). It took a while to come together, but I'm so happy with how it turned out and that I finally achieved my goal of writing Frodo and Boromir getting to know each other before everything went to hell in a handbasket.
Tagging @tortoisesshells @boltlightning @aloveforjaneausten @dreamingthroughthenoise if you'd like to do this!

Have you abandoned the Trails fandom?
Wow.
I updated my trails longfic in December. It's not even April. And CLEARLY I have been writing up a goddamned storm because I'm HAVING FUN with Class of '09. So much fun, in fact, that I managed just over 100k words in February alone.
I was going to delete this and block you, maybe even write a spitefic where I mash up a bunch of fandoms I know you're not part of with Trails just to piss you off, but you know what? Fuck you. No, really. Not even going to put this under the cut.
Fuck. You.
Tumblr media
This is probably the least effective way to get what you want. Yeah, this makes me feel VERY welcome. VERY wanted and appreciated. No, no, please, continue along whatever thought process this was! By all means, antagonize me into making more shit for you to consume.
Bad enough you leave a comment on a fic in a different fandom, making me excited that someone wanted to leave feedback on my work, and then I read it and it's THE SAME MESSAGE AS THIS, because you just had to anon my tumblr, too?
Why stop there, dude? Why ever stop? Why not just flood me with messages until you get what you want? THAT'LL WORK.
You've got my discord, why not just spam me there while you're at it? Drop me an email! Find my twitter and poke me on that! Are you the same asshole that tried to shame and guilt me for writing Rock/Revy instead of femslash for Black Lagoon? Because I think you are, since THAT PERSON DID THIS EXACTLY THE SAME WAY.
Guest Comment and Tumblr ask, at the same time. Because what I was doing wasn't what you wanted. It wasn't the RIGHT kind of thing for you. And then when I DO come back with femslash for Black Lagoon, where were you? Oh, was THAT the wrong kind, too?! I'LL BET IT WAS.
What's the ideal answer here? "Oh I'm so sorry I'd never abandon the Trails fandom I'll start writing and posting again for you!!!!" Eat shit.
I owe you NOTHING. You are entitled to NOTHING. I am not a goddamned content mill, I make things for fun, and I have ALL BUT GIVEN MY BLOOD AND SOUL to that goddamned fandom already you ungrateful brat!
I WROTE A FUCKING MUSICAL. I HAVE DELIVERED OVER 120 DRABBLES AND SHORTFICS. I WROTE SOME OF THOSE BY YOUR REQUEST. I have written AT LEAST a million words (not all of it published yet) over three years FOR TRAILS, you whiny, spoiled little shit.
Do me a favor and never read any of my stuff for any fandom ever again. I mean it. I don't want your eyes on it. I wish, so bad, so much, that you had an Ao3 account so I could BLOCK AND MUTE YOU on it. I would ACTUALLY BE tempted to user lock my works JUST because of you.
Great job, dumbass. Absolutely phenomenal decision making.
Go fuck yourself.

20 questions for fic writers
Thank you for inviting me, @chrononautintraining!
1. how many works do you have on ao3?
133
2. what’s your total ao3 word count?
1,392,316
3. what fandoms do you write for?
I tend to be a serial fandom monogamist; right now I'm writing for CQL/The Untamed, but my other biggest fandoms were White Collar and Hockey RPF (biggest in terms of how much I wrote for them, not the size of the fandom).
4. what are your top 5 fics by kudos?
So Wise We Grow and its sequel, it may be that the gulfs will wash us down (Star Trek AOS); Unorthodox Methods (SPN/White Collar crossover); Living Proof (White Collar); and Concord (The Untamed).
5. do you respond to comments? why or why not?
Almost always! If I'm feeling really low-energy, I may not reply to comments that are solely emojis, but I try to respond to those as well with at least a thank-you. The only exception to my general policy of responding is comments where I seriously cannot tell if they are positive or negative (e.g., "I hate you for making me cry" - I get that one a fair amount), because I don't want to be like "I'm glad you liked it!" when they actually didn't - I feel like that would make me look really arrogant lol. I respond to comments because I treasure them and want to encourage folks to keep commenting!
6. what is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Definitely Hands Open, Eyes Closed... and I was so bothered by it that I wrote a 200k follow-up getting those characters to their happy ending!
7. what’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Oh, jeez, I almost only do happy endings, so that's tough. I am partial to the ending of Dangerous, which is happy both interpersonally (WWX and LWJ are together! they have a baby!) and politically (that baby is going to blow up entrenched prejudices! yay!)
8. do you get hate on any fics?
I don't, and I have no idea why not, beyond the fact that I usually have anon commenting turned off. Don't get me wrong, I do get strongly negative comments sometimes, but nothing I would characterize as "hate."
9. do you write smut? if so, what kind?
Oh, definitely. I guess I would say I tend toward tender, talky, d/s-inflected smut, but ultimately I do whatever the situation between the characters calls for.
10. do you write crossovers? what’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Almost never - it's pretty much just Unorthodox Methods.
11. have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not to my knowledge.
12. have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes! I've been fortunate to have multiple fics translated, especially my hockey RPF fics.
13. have you ever co-written a fic before?
Nope!
14. what’s your all time favorite ship?
See above re: serial monogamist - right now I would swear that it's Wangxian 4EVA but check back in in a couple years.
15. what’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Definitely my Wangxian lawyer AU. I have big chunks of it written, but it would be more than 100k and I have so many other WIPs in line ahead of it. It'll probably end up as WIP Amnesty, though it breaks my heart to say it.
16. what are your writing strengths?
Dialogue and worldbuilding.
17. what are your writing weaknesses?
Physical description is often an afterthought. I default to describing lighting when I have to set a scene. I struggle to create a sense of the passing of time unless I have an external scaffolding to set the story on - in hockey RPF, the rhythm of the hockey season could give me that scaffold, but in my fics for CQL, the struggle is back.
18. thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
Best kept to a minimum, when it comes to actual dialogue, but when it comes to individual terms (Wen-guniang, hai shi, zhiji, etc., and Russian and Czech terms in hockey rpf), I do it pretty liberally. It's good for English speakers to have to look stuff up sometimes. It builds character. 😂
19. first fandom you wrote for?
Stargate: Atlantis!
20. favorite fic you’ve written?
My favorite fic I've written is actually a WIP Amnesty piece I never finished (but which readers have told me is satisfying as-is, thankfully): The Words in Your Head, an X-Men: First Class modern AU in which Charles and Erik are college students who help start a GSA (that's a gay-straight alliance, for those of you who were not queer teenagers in the late nineties or early aughts 😂) at Raven's high school. It's so personal to me (the kid who started her own high school's GSA 20 years ago) and carries so much of my own feelings about gender and queerness and queer community, and I feel so tender about the characters. I think, ultimately, the fact that it made me feel so raw is the reason I couldn't take it across the line to a polished final draft. But I will love it forever.
If you’d like to play, I hereby tag you in spirit! For the meme, I’ll invite @queenofattolia, @travelingneuritis, and @existentially-yibo.

Fanfiction Year in Review 2023
happy new year. I’ve never filled something like this out… but  as I published more fics last year than I did in 2022, and I have as many WIPs in the works right now, it seems like a good idea so I can reflect next year 😌
(thank you to kasienda and bbutterflies for tagging me in their posts!)
1 List of fics completed this year in the order they were finished:
sunblind - Adrien Agreste | Chat Noir/Luka Couffaine/Marinette Dupain-Cheng | Ladybug/Kagami Tsurugi
hearth – adrinette, adrien & emilie
switching shenanigans - Marinette Dupain-Cheng | Ladybug & Félix Fathom
the clouds above (opened up) – emonette & emodrien
backwards walk – ladywalker bed sharing!!!!!!!!!
back to you (just one last time) – ladywalker bed sharing (spicy) !!!!!!!!!!!!!
a rose by any other name – loveydrien <3
2 Number of words written:
Published: 47,661
Unpublished: 67,068
Knowing I’ve written over 100k words in a year is pretty cool! Especially since I only wrote 20k the year before that. I wrote all the wip titles down in a spreadsheet at least.
3 Your most popular fic:
I think the clouds above. I definitely did not expect that kind of reception when I first published it! I’m really thankful people still checked it out after the Paris special aired, too. It was one of the more fun fics I wrote, and I feel I actually don’t talk about how much of an Adrinette girlie I am. Even pre-reveal Adrinette is incredibly meaningful to me! I wrote this fic in a few hours and I was buzzing with excitement.  I have another Paris special idea, but it’s… very much an AU I feel. Like it would be somewhere between the clouds above characterization and more canon compliant. So I am not sure if it’s something worth pursuing.
4 Your personal fav:
BACKWARDS WALK SWEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually didn’t know if I’d ever write Ladywalker again after TBSYM? I had small ideas but something switched in me honestly after allowing myself to like… write them in a trope. I’ve reread this fic so many times and it still gets me at all the emotional beats, and I feel the prose is strong in this one. Sometimes I can get a little wordy…! Anyway. this is when I felt I could write them again, and write more.
5 Your fav scene:
Published: I think the last scene of a rose by any other name.
Unpublished: I think this takes the cake
6 A fic or scene that challenged you:
Honestly, almost all of hearth. I took like, a six month break from writing it. Came back to it because it kept itself burrowed in my mind, but I redid the beginning like, three times? And I feel the ending is not as strong as I want it to be. I don’t think I’ve actually ever reread it, either. I won’t say I dislike it, but I think it was one of the harder writing projects of the year for many reasons.
The good: the Adrinette is exactly my comfort flavor. I’m proud of the statue scenes.
The bad: the pacing, the plot is a little loose, the prose can be a little ‘can’t see the trees through the forest’ for me, the ending….
The comments on it, however, have been some of the most meaningful things to me, and I am endlessly grateful!!! I almost feel like this was such a tumultuous work for me, that every thoughtful comment that called it poetic, that they wanted to savor it, meant a lot to me.
7 A line of writing you’re proud of:
I could not pick just one. I got lost in my WIPs for like half an hour.
8 A comment that touched you:
how do I choose?
All the comments on hearth, as I said. I can’t put into words how I feel about this fic, but I see the reflection of the effort and love when I read hearth’s comments. I could not pick a single favorite out of all of those…!
sunny who has graced not just me, but a wide swath of creators and artists with their thoughtful, engaging comments. I could not for the life of me choose just one, but maaaaybe:
Tumblr media
Everyone who left tags in reblogs like “NEW ASUKIESS FIC?” or when whiskers complimented my ladywalker.
When piso said the following:
Tumblr media
And huey’s comment that just. It connected with me SO MUCH because they GOT IT. sometimes you just get a comment and all you can do is a funny little victorious dance and shake their hand because yeah. Yeah.
All of kasienda’s comments. Literally starstruck is all I can say hehe.
Oh and ALSO when rosekasa said this.
10 Your proudest accomplishment (that one scene; finally finishing that one fic; posting your first fic; etc):
honestly just creating through a lot of life bullshit lmao
11 Do you have any writing goals for the next year?
I really don’t know! Knee-jerk:
Publish as many fics while keeping them solidly confident. Things I’m proud of.
Write a fic in the shape/form that I absolutely adore: non-linear, short chapters. These are vibe-excellent fics. Need to write one like this.
Balancing angst with fluff.
That’s about it really! <3
12 Anyone you would like to thank?
All of the littlebugs for sharing all their behind the scenes of creating; for offering support; for always been a positive support system; for always sharing in celebrating others wins and comforting when things are bad. I’ve actually never been apart of a creating community like this, and it was not only eye-opening at several points, it was quite a turning point for me, creatively speaking.
piso and blu for creating Loveybug and sharing her; for being just as brainrotted about Catwalker; for always being such wonderful people; for pretty much…everything?
sunny for yknow. all the things I’ve told you in the past six months! <3
mostmagical, bbutterflies, neurovascularentrapta, for being SO supportive and going wild with me over ideas and being SO SWEET!!! I appreciate you all enormously.
Literally everyone who has sent me a comment, on ao3 or in my inbox, or even just shared my work for others.
