Long time no seee how r u all darlings!

This year is a pretty harsh year but we can all make it through with love and laughter!

By laughter I mean tickles!!! Geeheee

Sooo, I haven't watched any new animes except for jigokuraku and oshi no ko. Well they are still updating new episodes and I might wrote something on them soon a little later.

This fic now is to indulge me. U guys might find it irritating.... sowwyyy

Yh yh, I'm writing this.... cuz I just finished it. I will be writing a genshin next time. But I haven't had ideas in a while... I got a big demand for kinnporsche too! Will do as u please, dear fandoms!

Warning spoilers alert! If you watched Prince of Tennis, then pls proceed with caution... this is cute!

Fuji's plan (sus)

It's always Momo-senpai and Eji-senpai that's been getting on his nerves. (Senpai is a term for seniors - in case some didn't know)

If he were to draw a comparison, it would be his immature father. He sighed, wondering if he was actually related to him... but he wondered if his senpais were actually Najiroh's kids... they bear an annoyingly vast similarity.

Ryoma Echizen found both Kaidou-senpai and Tezuka buchou (captain) similar - mostly buchou while Kaidou was just frightening. However, right now, he was at a loss when everyone agreed to a silly game mentioned by Fuji, unsurprisingly. He hadn't known until they started planning behind his back.

Eji's tone was puzzled, "Eh...? Lighten up Ochibi (meaning kiddo or shorty - a term of endearment)?"

Fuji said with a cool demeanour, "Mn, ever since the kantou tournaments, he's been tensed... so I really wanna see a bubbly sweet side of him"

Momoshiro gave prolonged his thoughts now. Then realised it was a good idea as he hadn't seen Echizen in such a situation. He had always been stoic like Tezuka.

"Well..." Fuji spoke up again as if he read Momo's mind "I tried this on Tezuka but... that will make us run laps... so my first thought was Echizen... even Kaidou agreed with me"

Turning to the viper kid, he glared but was unable to hide the blush of embarrassment. "Fshhhh! I want to know that brats weakness and humiliate him, I don't care about him"

Inui pushed his glasses, now having an eerie grin, which made the rest of the regulars feel uneasy. "It's good for my data... hehe"

Tezuka, on the other hand, had been eavesdropping. He turned to Oishi and then back at Echizen, destroying the second years with his serves.

Silently having a slight earnest to find out the hidden side of Echizen, he turned away. "If this goes too far, make them run twenty laps"

Oishi smiled inwardly, "Even he's got a soft side for the kohais (juniors the opposite of senpai)." he watched Tesuka, who was probably trying to observe from the background, while watching the freshmen pick up balls again.

"He said t-that...?" Kawamura stammered now, surprised by what Oishi said, the other third year shrugged with a tilted smile.

"Initiate plan... loosening up Echizen. " they silently made nods of agreement to go up against the youngest regular.

Beginning with Eji, who suddenly reached for Ryoma after his warm up Horio.

"O-chi-bi-chan~!"

Ryoma was startled, but it was a calm reaction when he felt arms from behind now ruffling his hair.

"O-Ow ow... senpai... stop that"

"Caaan't! I wanna play with you, kiddo!"

Ryoma sighed inwardly, "If its a match u want....let's do it..."

"Nooo!" Eji tightened his grip, now removing the cap, "play with you!"

Instead of being embarrassed, he was annoyed, Fuji sensed this and signed to Oishi. This time, seeing how Oishi dragged a whining-Eji by the collar made Fuji smile as he rubbed his chin with his hand. "fuuhuu... this will be interesting"

Kawamura heard Momo whisper now, "why is everything Fuji-senpai say that I get chills"

"Trust me, I do too" shivered the split-personality guy.

It was when Inui came up with jokes as Ryoma was stretching his limbs, made him realise his seniors were planning something. He was intuitive to see how they were huddled in a group now, watching him too closely even without him playing a match.

"Mattaku (jeez), what is wrong with them?"

What's stranger was when Tezuka was ignoring this slacking off technique. Was he in on this scheme? What were they planning?"

"Ne, Echizen... what do you call a fish with no eye?"

"I heard that one before, Inui-senpai"

Pushing his glasses, he crossed the joke from his notebook "Mission failed..."

Eji pouted from a distant. "Mou! Why is Ochibi being so difficult, nya?" (Note that nya is a cat term this guy uses, as an onomatopoeia ~plus its super cute).

Momo cracked his fingers... "Alright, time for me to be a big brother..."

Fuji's eyes opened now, serious "What are you doing Momo?"

"Some childish technique that worked on guys like him..."

"Oh really... is this effective to break me?"

"Ye...." Before Momo could reply with confidence, he falters when Echizen was already there, folding his arms and looking unimpressed by this. Fuji chuckled into his hand. "Oopse"

"Ehhh...hee ahem! Echizen what...?" Momo tried to laugh it off but Ryoma was already seeing it through, shaking his head in disapproval he snapped "We got few days for the nationals and this is how you guys waste time? Sorry for being disrespectful but..."

"Ochibi, you need to lighten up!" Eji pounded his head gently, making the youngest look up with confusion as he felt his cap being taken off again.

"Oi!" Turning his back to the rest as he turned to Eji, he calmly stated in a stern tone "why are my senpais this childish"

Momo snickered now, seeing the opportunity to attack, "I'll show you childish, brat!"

"I know I say that, but -gah! Wahahat?"

Surprised, even Fuji hadn't been prepared for Momo to resolve this in this way. He smiled mischievously, "ne, Echizen you were saying?"

"Cuhut thehe crahahap... ahaa Shihit!"

"Echizen, mind your language!"

He was surprised to see the captain in front folding his arms in a slightly serious manner not fitting the circumstances at hand.

"Buhuhuchohohohu??? Ahahahare yohohohou ihihin Ohohon thihihis?" He struggled for words when Momo hit a sensitive spot on the backs of his ribs and Eji held his arms in a strong hold.

"I have noticed your tone against seniors. Consider this a lesson on manners,"

Ryoma lowered his head with shocked giggles, it made Inui snicker in excitement "The ribs are more effective than the sides... the higher ribs increases his laughter in a jolt... that means... the probability of Echizen weak in the armpits is 97.99%"

Widening his eyes in shock, he kicks his heels on the ground. Eji had Fuji help to restrain his arms higher, it was not hard since Ryoma is small in contrast to the seniors.

"Now, now Echizen, let us hear your giggles..." Fuji's icy voice sent shivers down Ryoma's spine. He couldn't help but unwillingly oblige.

"Teehehee W-whoohoho's gihihigglihihing??? Ohohohoiii! Ehehehehenough!" He began to blush when Fuji's teasing voice became more effective as Momo attacked his armpits. Eji happened to leave his spot and take over his knees.

This made Ryoma shriek out and grasp the attention of the other players, including the freshmen trio "E-eh? Is that Ryoma-kun?"

Kashiro smiled uneasily, "U-un, mn... it looks so... I never seen him like this"

Horio, on the other hand, snickered with a satisfied hum. "Even the great Seigaku freshman regular has a weakness"

"AHAHA NOHOHO! EHEHEJII-SEHEHENPAII!"

Inui grinned, now scribbling on his notebook as fast as Momo scribbling his ribs. "Bingo, Eji..."

Fuji was competitive now, slightly scanning an approachable area, he reacted by massaging his right shoulder where its reachable while pulling his arm to expose him.

His laughter suddenly reached a pitch that was an octave higher, "Jackpot..."

"As expected of Fuji..."

Tezuka folded his arms, seeing how he couldn't keep his facade any longer, "ten more minutes and go back to practice, I'll go meet Ryuzaki sensei" he added sternly to them, "If it doesn't stop there, everyone will run twenty laps"

"Hai, hai Buchou!" Fuji smirked cheerfully, "How far can Echizen-kun take without begging?"

"Nahahahaa ihihihin yohohour dreheheheheams!" He managed to stick his tongue but also collapse into another bought of laughter. Fuji hummed menacingly, "Are you sure... because I just started"

Ryoma's golden eyes widened with shock when he felt the finger on his neck slide to his collarbone, he arched his back now twisting to the side and managing to overthrow the powerhouse Momoshiro.

"Uha! Careful Echizen!" Momo got off but then watched the third years following Echizen's movements, mercilessly pulling him into hell.

"I never seen a persistent Fuji, even during matches?"

Kawamura's words made Kaidou nod too, though he was also blushing like Echizen, his thoughts messing with him, Dammit, why is Echizen so cute? That stupid punk!

"AAHAHA WAHAHAHAIT SEHEHEHENPAII! NOHOHOT THEHEHREE!"

A sudden jolt that made Echizen narrolwly miss a kick Fuji in the face, made him turn on his back and embrace his middle with a gasp.

He was like a child, Fuji seemed to have won the game this time. Eji cooed now, grabbing his wrists to pin them to the sides to help Fuji. "Awww, Ochibi's ears are ticklish!"

Momo widened his eyes when Fuji grinned with a glint of sadism "Found~ it~"

"Gah! AHAHA PLEHEHEASE PLEHEHEHEASE IHIHIHI BEHEHEG YOHOHOU!"

Inui clapped now, "We officially put the cocky rookie down a peg"

"Ma, Echizen-kun is cute like this...ne Eji?" (BTW, this 'ma' is something japanese people use, idk the meaning, but Fuji uses it all the time)

"Right? He's so adorable"

"Ehehenough! Cuhuhut ihit out plehehease!"

Finally easing the torment, the youngster remained where he was, hands over his eyes, the blush still visible on his cheeks and the tips of his ears.

"Who knew your ears were this bad, nice Fuji" Momo said slightly amazed, "though you sort of won the game, it was my idea..."

"Hn, yes it's both our win"

"I hahate yohohu, seehenpai-tachi!" (Senpai tachi is a plural form)

They laughed and Oishi sighed in relief "Thankfull we finished before seven minutes"

"So it only took eight minutes to break him," Kaidou hissed, "Fshhh! So weak"

"Shut up!" A tired Echizen snapped rebelliously but squeaked when Fuji poked him in the stomach, "Manners... remember why you got in this situation,"

"W-w... Mada mada dahahahanee! HEHEHEY!" Fuji reached to poke him more and try to tease him with a sneer "Say that again, and I'm ready for round two, even if it means running laps"

Seeing how they were serious, Ryoma growled with irritation, looking away from them.

"Fine, fine! Let's practice. " he took his cap and shyly put it back, now seeing how he was clearly embarrassed by the non-regulars. The seniors laughed at the super freshmen plight and went back to practice as assigned by the captain.

Speaking of Tezuka, the captain stood above from the window, smiling softly at the sight below.

"Be Seigaku's pillar Echizen... with your seniors"

i joked with a friend abt doing a ppt presentation on the entirety of m*nsta x's career. well its not a fucking joke anymore. i've been doing extensive research for like 5 hours at this point and i need to stop but also i cant... this is going to take me literal weeks but i am fucking dedicated. BUT WHATEVER. the reason i'm here is because i'm doing a lot of digging into old internet posts talking about the group, and i found a reddit thread in r/kpop from when the fandom name was announced and people are being SO MEAN VNFJNVJFVN. APPARENTLY EVERYONE THOUGHT IT FUCKING SUCKED. please i think m*nbebe is such a cute name... LIKE ITS SWEET. ITS A TERM OF ENDEARMENT AND IT STARTS WITH MON... THATS A LITTLE BIT CLEVER.. like yes its fucking cheesy but so what, its so sweet. i hate it here, fuck reddit. nobody gets the vision like i do.

but also so many of the comments are like "well the fandom name had to be as bad as the group name lol" NOOOO I LOVE THEIR GROUP NAME 😭 ITS SO FUN TO SAY. LIKE I GET IT. IT DOES SOUND LIKE THE EDGY USERNAME YOUR 12 YEAR OLD COUSIN WOULD USE ON INSTAGRAM. BUT SO FUCKING WHAT.

but also i had a dream abt mx last night LOL. it wasn't very interesting, but i did find it sweet. so w*nho and mx were just like very publicly hanging out, which was super weird because its kind of implicit that they arent supposed to even look in each other's direction. but based on this it was safe to say that likely wasn't the case anymore for whatever reason, and i was sooo happy for them, friendship wins. i remember having like a tumblr breakdown about this because OT7 CRUMBS AFTER TEN THOUSAND YEARS, and you saw those posts and sent me an ask basically going "wtf is going on, what is wrong with you" 😭

HELLO???? Nooooooo I love their name and the name of the fandom.....I even love how everyone tends to mispronounce mx as "monster x" at first, it makes for rlly funny interactions like that one time they refused to go on stage until the right name was called. Mini HC’s for terms of endearment (Luci, Mammon, Levi, Satan, Asmo) Part 1

Heyyyyyo luvs!!! Hope you're all having a fantastic week!!

Soooo, I am incredibly depressed and just one bad comment away from a mental breakdown and dropping out soooo as escapism I was imagining or figuring out the nickname or endearments the boys would call youuuu Sooo yeah enjoyyyy!

LUCIFER:

My love, my beloved, my heart, Darling, Sweetheart, Pet

Basically ‘my’ anything. Lucifer likes to keep an image of sophistication and with that in mind most of his terms of endearment reflect that. I don't think he is the kind to use ‘baby’ or ‘babe’ because they don't encompass just how much care he has for you. He also thinks they are kind of trashy.

When he wants to be sweet and loving or romantic its soft whispers in your ear “My heart, you look absolutely gorgeous” or “My Beloved, come here, I want to hold you... I wont ask again”

When you act bratty or are not listening, especially in public its a firm “Sweetheart, not now and i wont repeat myself” or “Darling, wait until we get home and then you'll see the results of your teasing.”

‘Pet’ is mainly for when Lucifer feels dominant in the bedroom. I feel like he is into degradation (as a kink) but he knows that you may not always be in that mood and so to keep his dominant nature but also be soft he would use Pet.

Overall, just very pride and prejudice hehehe

MAMMON:

Babe, Baby, Darlin’, Beautiful,

I don’t think it’s a surprise that this is what he calls you. I feel like he isn’t one to use sophisticated endearments. I also don't know why but he seems like he would be the kind to use quick terms of endearments that roll of the tongue really easily. Also suffice to say it takes him a long time to get the courage to be using terms of endearment for you.

‘Babe’ and ‘baby’ is for like everyday things. For example, you'll be helping him make ramen and he will come behind you and hug you and just be like “Thanks babe, love ya” or when you're getting out of bed he will whine softly “Baby where ya goin’? come back now”.

‘Beautiful’ is mainly for when he feels more romantic or when he is trying to pacify you if you’re upset with him. “Beautiful, come on, ya know I didn’ mean to!”

Lastly I think darlin’ is when you're teasing him and since I think he is a switch, he would get a little subby and be like “‘Darlin’ you're killing me here, ya know that?”

Overall, he uses what i guess are like trashy endearments but like in a cute and sweet way.

LEVI:

Y/N-Chan/ Y/N-Kun

Again, is this a surprise? Of course he calls you this. I mean it also takes him literal eons to even come up with the courage but finally when he does, he wants to be cute like the anime's and manga’s and so he would definitely call you with the suffix chan or kun.

I mean there isn't much more to this. I don’t think he will call you anything else besides your name. Again I think he is a switch like Mammon so when he is subby, which is very often, where he will just whine your name softly.

On the rare occasion he is dominant he will just whisper, y/n-chan/kun into your ear and then tease you. He maybe also call you “Kitty” since he thinks its moe but it is rare

But yeah I think he finds it too difficult to get that courage but even then he does his best to be cute.

SATAN:

Darling, sweetheart, Heart, Kitten, Kitty, Pet

Another one to hold an air of sophistication even for something as small as terms of endearments. To be honest I think Satan is the most romantic of everyone since he reads the most amount of books. He gets what women want and he knows what you like him calling you.

With that said, ‘Darling’, ‘Sweetheart’ and ‘Heart’ is definitely for everyday situations or the ones he uses in public. ‘Heart’ is definitely for when he wants to be more romantic. You're swaying to music in the kitchen and he mutters “What would I do without you my heart” or “Sweetheart pass me that book would you?”

‘Kitten’, ‘Kitty’ and ‘Pet’ is definitely for the bedroom or when he feels dominant and wants to put you in that sub mindspace. Gently running his hands along the curve of your neck “Purr for me kitten would you?”.

We all know he has that neko kink so yeah. “Kitty you make the loveliest sounds I wonder what other sounds I can pull out?”

Overall sophisticated in the same way as Lucifer. I think the only reason he doesn’t use ‘My - something’ very often is cause he knows its Lucifers go-to term and he of course wants to be nothing like him. If that wasn’t the case I could definitely see him saying My kitten or My heart.

ASMO:

Doll, pet, cutie, baby, love, sweetie, sweetheart, sunshine (literally everything)

Basically calls you any term of endearment under the sun. Has no particular situation in which he uses them since he can be suggestive even in public so even the more suggestive terms are used everywhere.

I literally don't know what else to say besides be prepared to be called everything.

This was just a small mini thing while i worked on the next part of Compliment so enjoyyyyy

Oo, for the send a character thing, Chalice?

YES CHALICE-

First impression:

Legendary chalice- When I first heard her theme song and saw her pop out of the urn I was sooo smitten with her character design?? She has the right amount of intrigue and personality, and I love her running gag it’s so funny

Ms Chalice- Um, sorry, are you the same person? That’s a thing that happens? Who are you?? I felt the same thing for her as her legendary counterpart! I loved her character design to death when I first saw her in the show trailer tap-dancing- I knew she was going to be the perfect foil for the brothers!

Impression now:

Legendary Chalice still makes me so interested in her history and possible connection to the Calix Amini- the fun little lore tidbits in the Cuphead universe. She’s simultaneously mysterious and personable- I relate to her clumsy, endearing character a lot!

Ms Chalice I could say the same. I can’t wait to see her both in the Delicious Last Course and in future episodes in the show, she really knocked it out of the park! A charming, sweet-talking con artist is a hard trope to beat lol. I also can’t wait for her character arc to end in a found family way with the brothers, seeing as she hasn’t had real connections in who knows how long. She’s learning, and I really want her to be happy!

Favorite moment:

“Just click your heels, go go go, and dance across a rainbow!”

Is EVERY moment acceptable??????? She is just…… the best, okay?? I can’t stop smiling every second she’s onscreen, she draws me in and makes me interested in her development. Her lovely tap numbers are one of the highlights of the show!

Idea for a story:

I want to write a fic where Chalice sticks around long-term, is introduced to Elder Kettle, and keeps on going on wacky adventures with the cup boys as their sibling. I would love to write about her doubts and insecurities about being a good part of the family, and her urges to go back out on her own again.

She would just be wonderful to write, honestly.

Favorite relationship:

Hard to say without knowing her age. As it stands, I don’t ship her with anybody. I’ve seen MugChalice making its rounds, and while it is quite cute, I think I still like the found family dynamic more! It also depends on what direction the show is taking with these three characters.

Of course, I’ve already talked about it, but I love her dynamic with the cup boys the most! Though that’s the only one we’ve seen so far lol. We gotta hold out and see if she’ll make any other connections!

Favorite headcanon:

A fun headcanon I’ve seen is that in the show, Chalice has been evading the Devil for centuries as a ghost who died young and escaped her soul contract. That would give Chalice and Cuphead some common ground, and she could give him some tips to keep up the evasion tactics!

Also, if there’s going to be some kind of series finale, it would be neat to see her stop running away and face the Devil head-on. It all ties itself together in the end.

Ok so I don’t know how but it took you spelling out Phil and Vigo’s relationship and now it’s all I’ve been able to think about because?? The tragedy of it all??? And I was just wondering if you had any extra info about their relationship that you’d be willing to share? Cause honestly it sounds simultaneously so cute and so heart-wrenching and I am HERE for it. For real, every time I learn something new about the world of ILM I love it even more, thank you so much for that piece of perfection!

Oh absolutely!

I am very tempted to start posting the chunks of Signifying Nothing I already have but I am simultaneously like “But you know you’d have to update slower rn” and so I keep balking, especially since I am writing New Dawn Fades too rn :’-] — We shall see. Anway! I am sorry it took so long to answer this I had a massive project I only finally finished this afternoon (I’m dying), but I have been very excited abt this because I adore Vigo so much!

Ahhh Vigo and Philip. They really said “Sooo...enemies to lovers speedrun?” And then did so fast they claimed a new high score.

I am not sure what specifically you’d like to know about (feel free to ask specifics if there are some! :D ) so I am just gonna throw out some random facts.

Vigo is from Norway, in the 1910s-30s originally. Philip from Nigeria in the 1960s-1970s, then Wisocnsin in the early 80s, so while they’re both gay men, it was never safe for either of them to be out. They also lived in fairly isolated places and were the only people like themselves they knew. This lead to them, once they were already traveling together in the realm for other reasons, having the most awkward flirting style. You know that “Bro, it’s just a dream”—“*nervously* Yeah I’m not gay, I wouldn’t fuck you”—“...You wouldn’t? :’ (“ “...I mean, unless you wanted to.” Vine? Both of them trying to figure out if the other likes men and/or them. They both think they can be subtle. They can’t. Just the other one is so fucking paranoid and anxious about this whole sitch the net effect is the same.

They are both fools who follow their gut instincts irrationally, but this worked out really well for them because if they weren’t the both would have killed the other during their first two real interactions.

They are super in love. They were so in love that even after ILM, when Vigo is both dead and someone Philip can’t even remember, he is still in love with him so much that he’s going to spend the rest of his life with him, whether that means trying to find a way to the realm again and the void just in case, or simply living how Vigo died in the hopes he’d get to, and spending quiet days talking to his ghost.

Vigo’s original character goal and life purpose on Signifying Nothing is the take the Entity down/beat it and to save everyone in the realm. Philip’s original character goal is to simply be allowed to live an okay life where the violence stops and he neither hurts nor is hurt by others, and maybe is happy sometimes—he just wants to be a decent man. Vigo dies and fails to obtain his own goal utterly, and basically achieves the opposite, as does Philip. Extremely cruelly. In In Living Memory, or rather, In Living Memory itself, is a manuscript Vigo puts together as a husk in the void, memorializing the events in the realm, and fulfilling Philip’s goal for him—carving into reality the truth he is a decent man who just wanted to not hurt or be heart, and giving immportal remembered meaning to that. As well as recording his eventual happiness with his new family. It ends once Vigo’s goals are assured (Philip is really going to be both happy and alright), and his connection to them outside the realm is failing and he won’t be able to observe anymore. Similarly, Philip throws away his own goals and future, and completes Vigo’s character arc for him, sacrificing himself in Memento Mori to achieve Vigo’s goal—beating the Entity and saving everyone in the realm—for him in his stead. A grand fate far beyond what Philip would have picked for himself.

But in the end, they both achieve the others’ life goal for them, since they could not do it themselves, and in doing so, kind of fulfil their own. Philip gives up everything to fight and win, and in doing so, finds a happy life to go home to. Vigo records Philip’s journey and everyone else’s and in doing so becomes the direct inspiration and motivation for the eventual escape of everyone in the realm. So. In simple terms. In loving Philip, Vigo does find a way to save everyone after all. And in loving Vigo, Philip finds life as a good man who many days gets to be happy.

I am gonna go cry now.

Uhhhhh what else. I’m really tempted to kinkshame Vigo but I’m not gonna do it right now. I will say his dumb ass spent like a whole week with Philip, who was armed with his sickle and not pretending not to be a killer, just conpletely obliviously believing him to be a rando, because Vigo has a great mind but only if the focus setting is switched on and sadly he does not control the focus choices.

Philip is much taller than Vigo because he’s seven feet tall and Vigo is Norwegian so he keeps trying to convince me he’s “no no actually 5’12””, but I am 99% sure that’s a lie and he’s actually 5’9”.

Vigo is a terrifyingly good fighter. He conjours things out of the fog really well. His main item is a summonded like made from light drum because he came here trying to function as a noadi to help the people captured by an evil spirit. It looks like a shield bc of the size and shape, so most people assume it is, and that was kind of meant to be its purpose, but it gets used as an offensive weapon waaay more (I mean, he’s here to fight spiritual warfare what do you epect from the man?). Philip, who runs around with a scythe, like, the most death-lookin weapon of all, uses his sickle for primarily defense/as a shield. This makes them very funny to watch but also extremely formidable as a tag-team in battle.

Even though Norwegian is not a super affectionate langaube interestingly, and kind of the opposite, Vigo is a very quickly affectionate person by nature and is very liberal with the terms of endearment. This used to annoy Alex and Benedict, but like, in the way where a friend annoys you but you kind of don’t really hate it. Philip really liked it. Vigo used to call him Kjære a lot.

FAVOURITES

1. Crash Landing on You

He’s from North Korea. She’s from South Korea. They never should have met, but they’ll change each other’s lives.

This was my first K-drama, and its still my favourite. The full cast of characters is great, the lead romance is ANGSTALICIOUS and its genuinely, laugh out loud funny (when its not making you cry or swoon).

Male lead: Officially the best boyfriend ever. With added dimples.

Tear-jerk factor: 4/5

2. Healer

The lives, and pasts, of a hot shot reporter, a spunky young tabloid journalist and a mysterious thief-for-hire intersect.

This was so addictive - the plot was tight and engaging, and this is one of the few shows I’ve watched where there didn’t seem to be a lot of filler. I loved the central 3 characters, and the romance was amazing. I especially loved that the male lead started off such a brooding loner, but he became super-affectionate as soon as he admitted his feelings. So many good hugs and lots of face-cradling in this one.

Male lead: Effortlessly beats up 2 henchmen while comforting his girl over the phone. What more do you need?

Tear-jerk factor: 1/5

3. Itaewon Class

A young man’s life is forever altered when he runs afoul of a powerful family.

This felt like a big step up in quality from everything else in this list, in terms of the production, soundtrack (which was brilliant), the lack of annoying sound effects, and just the overall ‘real world’ feel of the show. All of the characters were fleshed out and 3-dimensional, and they all had their ‘moment’ to shine. The story itself was gripping and so well done - some of the twists and reveals had me gasping! And what can I say about the 2 leads? I love them, both separately, and together. He is so wise beyond his years, and his journey will break your heart and inspire you. She is borderline sociopathic, but I adore her.

Male lead: Tenacious, principled, kind, innocent, caring, driven, loyal…and he can cook!

Tear-jerk factor: 2/5

4. Descendants of the Sun

A special forces Captain meets a capable and beautiful trauma surgeon. They feel an instant bond, but their jobs and philosophy on life get in the way, threatening to tear them apart.

Halfway through this show, I seriously thought this might overtake CLOY as my No. 1 fav. I absolutely LOVE the male lead character, and the romance was beautiful…but it didn’t quite nail the angst and the last minute was a bit twee which dropped it down the rankings a bit.

Male lead: A cocky, charming, absolute BADASS with the most adorable, cheeky smile.

Tear-jerk factor: 2/5

5. My Holo Love

A lonely woman falls for a holographic AI and then meets his creator...

I love the concept of this show (I’m a big sci-fi nerd), and it was beautifully shot. The lead relationship is well developed and it doesnt fall into a typical love triangle. I’ve come to realise it utilises a lot of K-drama tropes (face-blindness! shared childhood trauma!), but it does it really well, imho.

Male lead: Tortured loner genius. My catnip.

Tear-jerk factor: 2/5

6. Goblin

A 900yr old immortal guardian finally meets the ‘bride’ who will end his existence

Once I got over the slight ick-factor of the age difference between the two characters at the beginning, I really fell for this show and it’s world. It had me in tears. And I especially loved the secondary character of the Grim Reaper.

Male lead: Surprising innocent and funny for a 900 year old

Tear-Jerk factor: 5/5

7. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim

An personal assistant decides to quits her job in order to get a life. Her boss has other ideas.

I loved the female lead in this - I’m a sucker for uber-competent people, and the actress is STUNNING. Her boss is self-centred, entitled and vain...but over time, somehow that just becomes endearing! This show also has lots of very good kissing scenes...and when he started to unbutton her shirt during one encounter, I was SCANDALISED (did I mention these shows are usually very PG!!)

Male lead: Like I said, somehow makes vanity and narcissism endearing. Also not afraid to get his shirt off and flash his 6-pack. Bonus.

Tear-Jerk factor: 0/5

8. Legend of the Blue Sea

A mermaid comes onto land to find the man she loves

The (literal) fish-out-of-water scenes in the first half of this show were hilarious - the actress is a comic genius! The romance was nicely done, and there wasn’t a lot of extraneous plot or too many characters. I couldn’t stop watching this one!

Male lead: Cocky, arrogant conman with a soft mushy centre

Tear-Jerk factor: 1/5

9. Fight for my Way

Two life-long friends decide to go after their dreams

I found this during my Park Seo Joon binge and, even though I fast-forwarded large chunks of it (I wasn’t interested in the secondary couple at all), it still made my favourite list because I love the leads - both as separate characters and as a couple. This is one of the best friends-to-lovers stories I’ve seen, mainly because you truly buy that these 2 have known each other their entire lives (their bickering and teasing feels so natural). And then when they take the next step, they’re so affectionate and refreshingly open with their feelings.

Male lead: I love his contradictions. He’s goofy and childish…but can really turn on the sexy charm; he’s a badass MMA fighter…who loves when his girlfriend sticks up for him and protects him.

Tear-jerk factor: 0.5/5

10. Suspicious Partner

A young, hardworking lawyer has her life turned upside down when she is put on trial for murder.

This has been officially bumped up to my favourites list - partly because I’m now a massive Ji Chang Wook fan, and partly because I’ve rewatched scenes with better subtitiles and it made everything10x better. Its still overly long, but the serial killer plot had some nice twists and it was central to the story, so it didn’t feel extraneous like some of these types of plots do. I really enjoyed the central romance - the 2 characters sparked off each other well and I loved their evolution from sort-of enemies to lovers.

Male lead: Its Ji Chang Wook! He’s so good at playing serious guys who are secretly big dorks

Tear-jerk factor: 0.5/5

Notable mentions

These are shows which I completed and enjoyed but they didn’t set my world on fire. Usually because they were overly long, or the plot got in the way of the characters/love story.

1. The K2

An ex-mercenary takes a job as a bodyguard protecting the illegitimate daughter of a politician. A sort-of Snow White retelling.

This started off really well, with some amazing fight sequences (hello, shower room scene!). However, the back half became too bogged down in double crosses and manipulations, and it focussed too much on the politicians. The writers did well to give these characters some layers, but they were all essentially doing bad things for the wrong reasons, and I just didn’t care about them. The show was much better when it was following K2’s journey. The romance also started off well, but was a bit underdeveloped (mainly because they barely interacted).

2. I Am Not a Robot

A man who is allergic to human contact finds companionship with a robot…or does he?

I honestly thought I wouldn’t make it passed a couple of episodes of this - the concept was just too ridiculous. But I’m glad I perservered, because it developed some real depth and some proper good angst towards the end.

3. My Love from the Star

Alien stranded on earth meets an actress soon before he’s due to be rescued.

I finally gave this another chance, and I’m glad I did. The female lead got a LOT less irritating, and I enjoyed the present-day romance and all the flashes back to the past. However, the ending was really abrupt and disappointing (which kept it out of my favourite list). There should have been 1 less filler episode in the middle, and a decent, fleshed out finale instead.

4. Her Private Life

A talented art curator tries to keep her professional persona separate from her fangirl obsession with a pop idol.

This was cute and I loved the central relationship - he was so supportive of her, and their interactions were refreshingly mature and their banter felt really natural. Ultimately, it was a bit forgettable (I’m not dying to rewatch any of it), and the last minute tacked-on childhood trauma subplot was really unnecessary.

5. Strong Girl Bong-Soon

A woman with inherited super-strength gets a job as a bodyguard for an eccentric young CEO

The lead couple in this are AD-OR-ABLE and I loved their relationship. But there was a weird tone issue in this show. The romance is super cute...but there’s a whole dark sub plot involving multiple women being held captive by a psychopath. I ended up fast forwarding most of that, and just concentrated on the romance.

6. Touch Your Heart

Star actress rocked by scandal works at a law firm to prepare for her comeback role

This starred the secondary couple from Goblin and I really like them, even though they are playing very different characters in this (more opposites attract, than doomed lovers). At first I found this too ‘cutesy’, but I’ve since realised the sound effects/graphics are a K-drama thing and not unique to this show, so I’m not as down on it as I was. I still had to fast forward a lot of the secondary romances which I wasn’t invested in.

1. Hyde, Jekyll and Me

A woman becomes involved in the lives of 2 men, who share one body

This stars Hyun Bin from CLOY and he is sooo watchable, especially as the slick-haired, glasses-wearing, uptight Seo-Jin. And the show started well...but quickly went off the rails into a convoluted, dragged-out revenge plot.

2. Melting Me Softly

Two people are accidentally cryogenically frozen for 20 years. They have to navigate the modern world and their new lives together.

Another good concept, but it ultimately descended into little more than a light work-place romance. Had a couple of good kissing scenes, but it was overall a bit forgettable.

My Secret Romance

I started watching this because I was looking for something a little less PG - the characters have a one night stand in the first episode! But I couldn’t get passed the bad acting and cheap production.

Master’s Sun

I liked the premise but the 2 leads weren’t very attractive (at least in comparison to the insanely beautiful actors/actresses in the shows listed above). Call me superficial, but I couldn’t see myself spending 17 hours watching them and willing them to kiss.

Her full name influenced her design since Galatea means “milk white” and in the myth, Galatea was originally a statue. Wait Thea as an art model for Badeea’s classes 🥺 oh my god she’d be so pretty <3

She grew other stuff before that but it was out of her control and wouldn’t last too long. JT’s favorite flowers are sunflowers so Mina grows them on her mom’s birthday and Mother’s Day. Mina growing plants when she’s bored.

Penny, Tonks, and Chiara convinced JT to let them watch Mina so that Mina’s parents could take a break. It was the least they could do for their old roommate.

You’ll be the deaf of me, a Boku no Hero Academia/My Hero Academia One Shot.

Summary: “You’re going deaf, aren’t you, Bakugou?” Kirishima said very faintly, noticing how the blond had his eyes on his lips. He frowned slightly. He wasn’t denying it. And not denying it meant it was probably true. In Bakugou speech.

The first thing that Kirishima noticed was that Bakugou always went to the teacher’s room after classes. He wasn’t spying on his best friend. Of course not, he was just looking out for him and making sure everything was fine.

But now Eijirou was curious. What could his best friend be asking his teachers every day? Was it about extra material? Until Kirishima noticed Bakugou didn’t take notes in class. So maybe, instead of extra material, maybe he asked the teachers for what the lessons had been that day?

But then, why would the teachers comply?

Something smelt fishy, really fishy.

Kirishima didn’t think he was the smartest in class, no, far from it, but when he realised that he could do something for Bakugou if he understood what was going on, he decided to use all his brain power to figure it out.

And then, he started noticing small things about Katsuki. Like the way his eyes would always immediately drop to someone’s lips whenever that person started talking.

So, it finally dawned on Eijirou. And it made sense.

“So?” Bakugou asked, unimpressed. He’d seated himself on the redhead’s bed, crossing his legs patiently.

“You’re going deaf, aren’t you, Bakugou?” Kirishima said very faintly, noticing how the blond had his eyes on his lips. He frowned slightly.

“Huh? What did you say, Shitty Hair?”

And then something else clicked inside Eijirou’s brain. The nicknames.

“It’s your explosions, isn’t it?” Now the volume was normal, perhaps slightly elevated, to help his friend out.

“What about my explosions?”

“They’re making you lose your hearing.” Kirishima spoke. He was nervous, hoping in the very pit of his soul that he was wrong.

Bakugou was silent. The frowning persisted, and his lips just pursed some more, but he said nothing.

“You don’t take notes in class. You visit the teacher’s room when classes are over. You don’t call people by their name, you always have a nickname for them, like you didn’t catch their name and didn’t want to damage your pride by putting yourself in a situation where people could figure out what was wrong. Plus your quirk is hella loud, dude.”

“The left one is worse.” He just mumbled. He avoided the redhead’s gaze and squirmed in his seat.

He wasn’t denying it. And not denying it meant it was probably true. In Bakugou speech.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Kirishima asked, trying to hide the pain in his voice. Why couldn’t his friend count on him? He could take notes for him, help him out. Be extra loud and subtly encourage everyone around him to be it too so that Katsuki could have an easier life. But no, the sulky blond had to be extra prideful and just reject everything, especially help coming from his friend.

“Why didn’t I tell you!?” Bakugou snapped, his explosions erupting from his palms, but Eijirou wasn’t fazed. “Why would I tell you?”

“Because we’re friends! Because I can help!” Kirishima threw his head back, letting the wave of frustration roll over him.

“You can’t help!”

“Yes, I can!”

“No, you cannot fucking help! What are you going to do about it!? You don’t even know! The fucking nightmares made it worse! I exploded my hands against my ear for fuck’s sake! It’s not like my hearing was any good anyway after years and years of loud fucking explosions!”

Bakugou had said so much. Explosions. Nightmares. Exploding in his sleep.

“I could… tie your hands down or something!” Kirishima tried to come up with something.

“No, you cannot fucking tie me down.”

Eijirou had an idea why, an inkling of what it could be. But he needed Bakugou to voice his fears.

Katsuki didn’t seem like he was going to, though.

The blond sighed, looking almost defeated.

“I started losing my hearing a few years ago because of how much I use my quirk. And then I started getting nightmares and I accidentally let them off in my dreams, trying to fend off imaginary shit and one time I had my hand next to my left ear. It rang for days and after that it’s never been the same.”

“Are the nightmares… because you got kidnapped?” Kirishima’s brow wrinkled, pity and sympathy in his eyes as he watched his friend closely.

A flash of anger crossed the other’s face, and the redhead knew better than to keep looking at him like that.

“I’m learning how to lip read. It’s a pain in the arse but I have to deal with it.” Bakugou spoke again eventually, his brow still furrowed. “You happy now, Shitty Hair?”

The next day, when Katsuki was about to get ready for school, he found someone had left a piece of paper on the floor. When he picked it up and looked over it, he realised Kirishima must have slid it under the door, either the night before or sometime that morning.

Sign language classes.

And, in Eijirou’s bad handwriting, a note that said: “Come with me! :D”

Bakugou scrunched the paper into a ball in his fist, his brow furrowing.

The redhead was especially loud that day. Bakugou had an idea why, and it was irking him like nothing else that boy had ever done before.

Strangely enough, Kirishima’s plan seemed to be working. When he was louder, the people around him were unconsciously louder as well. So he smiled at Katsuki, hoping he would share his enthusiasm with him.

He was met with a grimace.

Eijirou’s smile almost faltered.

That afternoon Kirishima stormed into Bakugou’s room like always, but he was carrying a red folder the blond hadn’t seen previously.

“I took notes for you in class!” The redhead chirped happily, opening it up and showing his best friend all of his hard work. “I tried to make it as clean and organized as I could, and did my best with my sloppy handwriting.”

Katsuki went over the notes, his face displaying his annoyance.

“They’re riddled with spelling mistakes, idiot.” He mumbled lightly, going over a specifically hard to read paragraph.

“Oh… I tried my best…” Kirishima’s smile wavered and he looked dejected. Bakugou almost felt guilty at his words.

“Well, they’ll help you study.” The blond muttered, turning his head away in embarrassment. “So keep doing them or whatever.”

A week later the redheaded ball of energy barged into Bakugou’s room, rambling on about something that the blond didn’t quite catch.

“Look Bakugou!” Kirishima smiled at him, waving his hands in the air excitedly. “I watched some videos online and I can sign a bit, wanna see?”

“Not particularly.” Came Katsuki’s answer, even if he was a teeny bit curious. Just a little bit. This didn’t deter his friend however, who immediately started to sign, his lips mouthing the words as his fingers and hands did the speaking for him.

“I said I can hear! But I can teach you how to express that you’re hard of hearing!”

Bakugou huffed in mock annoyance. It was getting hard to find all the things the blundering idiot was doing as irritating as they had before. Now, it was mostly… cute.

He scoffed at the idea that whatever the redhead was doing could ever be classified as cute in his mind, but he was eagerly yapping on about how waving his hands this way meant something, and waving them around like that meant something else, his eyes shining eagerly, a happy puppy look to them that was nearly endearing.

“We can go to the classes together! It seems like sooo much fun! I’ve always wanted to learn more ways of expressing myself! And if your hearing gets any worse I could interpret for you! Wouldn’t that be fun?” Kirishima was nearly shouting, his hands returning to his sides as they’d finished with their conversation.

Bakugou didn’t miss that Eijirou had said ‘if his hearing got worse’ and not ‘when’. Maybe it’d been to spare his feelings but Katsuki did appreciate it.

“Alright.” He muttered, crossing his arms over his chest. “We can go to the classes.”

Kirishima threw himself on top of the other, crushing him into a hug the blond nearly responded to. He swore he heard the redhead say something along the lines of ‘I knew you’d come round to it!’.

They were outside the room and Bakugou was hesitant about entering. Going inside meant he would be accepting the fact that he was going deaf, and that was something he was having trouble coming to terms with.

lookism rant #1

so... it’s spring break. and i’ve spent the entire break doing what any smart ap student would do: ignoring my five looming ap tests and draining my phone battery by looking at webtoons and instagram. since most of my favorite webtoons are on hiatus, i have resolved to rereading my favorites, and one that i’ve reread the most so far is lookism. as spring break comes to a finish in two days, i decided to get my life back on track and instead of simply rereading the comic, i will rant about my most and least favorite characters starting with the fandom’s all-time favorite character (yes, if you check the wiki for lookism there is a poll and it is fact that he is the majority’s favorite), jay hong/hong jae yeol. (also, note that these are my opinions so if you disagree with them don’t be offended but i would be happy to hear other people’s opinions on the webtoon! please comment who would be on your list because i need to talk to more people who read lookism!)

top favorite characters~

1. jay hong/hong jae yeol:

let’s just list off reasons why everyone loves him: he is well-dressed (even plans out other people’s outfits), generous (gives daniel literally everything he wants), selfless (he fricking took in enu’s pups even though he is scared of dogs), RICH (main reason for kouji’s admiration), strong (manz uses his systema well), and CAN RIDE A MOTORCYCLE (yes, i love a man who can ride a bike). he may not be the most dynamic character, but his static puppy status makes it impossible for me to put him lower on this list. we honestly don’t know that much about his backstory and i am super curious about why his family relationships are so strained (except with his sister, joy). for now, he remains a mystery, but like an attractive mystery. overall, me -> ( ･_･)♡

2. zach lee/lee jin sung:

honestly hated this boi in the beginning because he was a big bully to daniel, but he has been through some SERIOUS character development. mira was a big part in this but i feel like overall his morals have changed so much even when mira isn’t around. he does still fight often, but now it’s not meaningless violence as he uses his boxing skills to defend his friends (ex: defending johan during the god dogs arc).

i also hated his eyebrows and hair in the beginning of the comic but like that’s personal preference. however, in the last few episodes, his hair looks SO GOOD (reference image above).

he is second on my list of favorite characters because i feel that his development throughout the story has been the most dynamic. he not only changed mentally as he overlooks lookism more (ex: he is not only friends with big daniel but also little daniel) but also physically as he doesn’t simply depend on his inherent talent for boxing but actually goes back and trains again in order to get better (to defend mira >.<)

in the future, i hope to see more development with his relationship with mira and his friends because i hold a lot of high hopes for this boi! ♥‿♥

3. vasco/lee eun tae/tabasco:

BIG CUTIE ENERGY ♥╣[-_-]╠♥! first off, he may not have as much long-term development over the course of the story like zach, but we do see a lot of his development with his own arc and bullying story. he was always a pure boi and his inherent innocence creates a discrepancy with his appearance which makes him more endearing in my opinion. the idea of lookism is very apparent in his character because most people look at him and see him as a gangster or someone very intimidating, but in reality his personality and mindset are very innocent (showing another way that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover). i honestly LOVED the scene in the god dogs arc in which he defended zach and daniel joins in because that friendship is GOLDEN. i love how he always strives to be stronger and more powerful to defeat the evil in the world because it shows that he truly cares about the weaker people and those impacted by lookism. in my opinion, i think that vasco and zach will end up being the most powerful in the story (but that’s my opinion)

4. mira kim/kim mi jin:

pure! cute! sweet! moral! (✿ ♥‿♥)! mira is just an all-around great gal that makes it impossible for me to find flaws with. although she isn’t super major in terms of daniel’s story, she does impact zach significantly and makes him a better person. like she is the sole reason that zach has become a character that i truly admire and like. (although she did think that daniel was the r-word when he tried hitting on her in the beginning of the story. but throughout the story we see that she isn’t really a person to judge people on looks and stuff as we see that she gives jasmine the benefit of the doubt even after the vasco fiasco)

5. yena/eli jang’s (jang hyun’s) daughter:

honestly too cute for words. like the episodes where zach and mira find her are my favorites so i just wanted to include her in my favorite character list. also, she seems to be a character that really impacts other characters (zach and eli really changed for her ಥ_ಥ)

least favorite characters~

park ji ho:

always doing dumb things and making it harder for the people around him. he tries too hard to be a part of the popular group and as zach said, he doesn’t really think of them as friends because he just thinks about what the benefits are for hanging out with daniel and co. i think we all went from being tolerant of jiho in the beginning and then hating him at the end. i especially hated how he kept blaming other people and yet not accepting when people were being friendly. especially during the fake bank account arc, he just brushed off daniel when he asked jiho if he wanted to go to the convenience store then jiho goes running back to daniel and his friends when he realizes his mistake. overall, -123912830/10.

2. james gong:

don’t even know where to start with this punk. very violent for very little reason! i know i stated before that i hate jiho but i still felt kinda bad for him when he realized that james had sold the bank account he made for him. just overall a very intimidating character that hurt zach (ﾉಥ益ಥ）ﾉ ┻━┻

3. jasmine huh:

needs to get her shit(ake) together. first off, she almost got vasco expelled from the school because of her lies. like big! red! flag! it seems that she really doesn’t care about other people (except james) and is willing to put so many other people at risk to save her own behind. also, i hate how she uses other people. like how she uses mira to make money when mira didn’t do anything wrong ヾ(ﾟдﾟ)ﾉ. i hope she one day realizes that her lies are gonna hurt so many other people and then herself.

4. heemin kim/zeus/creepy dude from the boot camp arc:

sexual assault is a big no in this household. i hate how he thinks that being handsome can defend him of his crimes! also, he broke zach’s arms which made me FLIP OUT. LIKE HOW DO YOU DARE TO HARM MY BOXER BOI. he also attacked mira, an actual angel ლ(ﾟдﾟლ). words can’t describe how much i hate this man but numbers can -> 0/10

5. logan lee/lee tae sung:

big bully energy. he needs to lay his hands off of everyone (especially zoe!). blackmail? big no go in this household. he also dumped his plate of food on mira? BIG NO GO! he needs to get his life together and realize that people don’t hate him because he’s “ugly,” it’s because he has THE WORST PERSONALITY!

6. strong contenders for least favorite: stalker girl, animal cruelty cat mom/hoarder, zoe’s stalker

characters that i need more information about to form stronger opinions about~

vin jin/jin ho bin:

dislike him because he abused enu but also want to know more about him. big bully energy but i feel like he has a deep backstory behind him so i want to know more. why did he quite judo? why does he wear sunglasses? hope he gets over his superiority complex and changes because i feel like he has a lot of potential.

2. eli jang/jang hyun:

so far, very cute and strong is all i have to say about him. also, he is a good dad like that scene where he put out that god dog’s cigarette? MAJOR PROPS TO YOU ELI. i’m very curious about his backstory as well because it seems that he was a contender for gun’s successor but he changed drastically to take care of yena. i also just love a man with good hair sooo…

3. jong gun + joon goo:

i want to know more about these two! like what’s their backstory? why did gun create the 4 big crews? why was goo sent to the juvenile detention center before? (look at vasco’s bullying arc for reference) why did gun leave goo alone with the money collection? overall very mysterious and i want to learn more.

random characters that just deserve appreciation~

crystal choi/choi soo jung:

we stan a strong female character. however, i don’t like how she is immediately prejudiced against handsome men in the beginning of her appearance. i think over time she’ll realize that her prejudice isn’t right and her experience as someone who has to deal with lookism doesn’t justify her immediate judgements. however, we need more female fighters in this story so she is a big yes.

2. duke pyeon:

WE STAN A MAN WHO FOLLOWS HIS DREAMS DESPITE BEING BULLIED AND JUDGED. yes, we stan.

3. daniel park/park hyung suk:

honestly, he’s a great character and all, but i don’t know if he could ever reach favorite character status. i just have a mindset that makes me unable to pick the protagonist as a favorite character because i feel like they are sometimes created specifically to just bring the story together. don’t get me wrong, he’s a great person, defends his friends, and doesn’t fight for no reason, but i feel like there isn’t anything super special about his personality (other than the fact that he has two bodies but like so does crystal). he also looks like kim seokjin in his new body which is a big plus.

4. inu/enu + inu/enu’s pups:

i love dogs

5. mary kim/idk her korean name someone help me:

strong female character? i think yes. honestly such a fav. she doesn’t take sh*t from vin jin and i honestly want to know more about her character and background. *spoiler alert* i read ahead in the korean version and saw that she can beat people up too so like… she’s a bada**.

6. kouji:

as a person interested in computer science, I STAN. i also love a man with good hair. his cocky personality is sometimes off-putting but honestly his confidence is endearing at times. also we both love money!

7. jace park/park bum jae:

during vasco’s bullying story, i was so sad when he left vasco, but i love how he realized that he should’ve been a better friend and has stuck with vasco after all of this time. also love how he listens to vasco and tries to make him happy even when he knows that vasco does some silly things (like planting durian seeds in korea)

8. zoe park/park ha neul:

i love her development! she still fights with herself over whether she should like big daniel or small daniel, which displays her internal conflict with lookism. over time she has stopped judging people solely on their appearance and she is even able to distinguish between daniel and his cousin! (in my opinion, if daniel doesn’t end up with jay he better end up with zoe instead)

9. daniel’s (hyung suk’s) mother:

ICON! WE NEED TO APPRECIATE OUR PARENTS MORE! I AM A BIG STAN! SHE WORKS HARD FOR DANIEL AND IT BREAKS MY HEART WHEN DANIEL DOESN’T REALIZE!

10. song johan:

deserved better. he was just trying to help his mom which makes him so pure! but i feel like he should realize that he has friends (zach and mira) that could help him get through his problems! overall, want to see more of him and i hope he develops even more.

Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms Part 8 - Iba Hachiro Route

I’ve always admired the perseverance of Hijikata, so hearing Iba talk about how the shogunate guys have been refusing meetings with him and not seeing eye to eye with the Shinsengumi and Iba, it’s pretty depressing, but it really shows how much Hijikata is unwilling to yield. On the other hand though, seems like Iba’s new Demon hand is acting up on its own and can even control his actions? Doesn’t sound good… Damnn, both CGs of Iba drinking her blood or enduring it are so pretty😍 I feel so bad, here he is suffering and I’m just relishing in how good he looks🤣

It’s always so funny how Motoyama (hatamoto alongside Iba) is always so scared when it comes to Hijikata🤣 Niceee that Chizuru will be living with Iba whilst the Shinsengumi march to Kofu Castle~ They can bond more now since they had been separated for months when they all moved to Edo. It’s true that it’s kinda like a casual honeymoon since they’re living together, she’s cooking for him and they’re spending quality time together hahaha. It’s so heartbreaking to know that the shogunate didn’t expect anything from the Shinsengumi and were ready to give away Edo Castle to the enemies, so essentially they allowed all those people in the Shinsengumi to die on a mission that wasn’t meant to be fruitful at all. They got Hijikata and the Shinsengumi’s hopes up that they were fighting for the shogunate when they themselves had already given up… No wonder Iba is so mad at them and himself.. It’s the worst that Iba definitely wants to participate in all this, but he can’t since he promised that he won’t interfere with human history and conflict since he has the Demon arm now. So it’s awesome that Chizuru asked him to be her bodyguard as she reunites with the Shinsengumi, so that technically all Iba is doing is protecting her and not intentionally changing history, it can’t be helped if she has chosen to go and he has to protect her hahaha. Very good idea, Chizuru! You know Iba well! Since he promised Sen that he wouldn’t interfere anymore, his beliefs would never allow him to go back on that, but with this, he’ll be able to see how the Shinsengumi and the rest are doing, and possibly support them indirectly. Funny that he doesn’t realise (or maybe he just doesn’t want to since that’ll go against his principles) what she’s trying to do and sincerely just wants to bring her to the Shinsengumi lmao.

Awww, his new look is so not cute! He doesn’t have as much of that pretty boy in a Japanese way look now😪😪 Sooo boring. It must be so painful for Iba to drink Chizuru’s blood to curb his bloodlust every time though, he’s so devoted to being the one that will protect her no matter what, and yet every time he has these “attacks”, Chizuru has to hurt herself and give him her blood, it must really hurt him to have her do that. Why are the Odawara guys traitors too… That’s just so terrible, Iba and them were so hopeful to have gained allies, only to be backstabbed by them and the Imperial forces… I don’t blame Iba for breaking his vow to Sen, he’s his unit’s leader, how could he possibly watch them be slaughtered like this… Btw not a fan of Takeda’s new look either! His hair looks kinda funny haha😅

Considering the difference between Takeda’s and Iba’s backgrounds, which are pretty much complete opposites with Takeda being poor, seen as filth and he climbed all the way to who he is now through sheer willpower and strength he cultivated to not be looked down upon anymore, whilst Iba is rich and blessed with the opportunity to be a hatamoto despite lacking real fighting to the death experiences that I’m sure Takeda had to go through like every day I guess… So, really, in a sense, Takeda’s hatred runs quite deep even without all the things that happened before, he just hates Iba for everything that he is and everything that he himself isn’t and cannot be. OMG, lewd dreams of Chizuru?! Dang, Takeda, I don’t really want to know that. Did Takeda and Iba accept perverted Demon hands…? Lol. Even if Takeda drank much more human blood than Iba, could he be that much stronger than Iba to completely overpower him? Shouldn’t Chizuru’s blood be powerful too then?? Hmmm. Or maybe Takeda’s wrath amplifies his power as well? Since I feel like although Iba doesn’t like Takeda and really wants to protect Chizuru, he’s never been as emotional as when he first cut Takeda’s arm off, and he hasn’t accustomed himself to the new arm that much compared to Takeda I guess.

It was so heartbreaking to hear Iba have to admit and tell her that he’s having those lewd dreams as well…and to have to admit that she’s the safest away from him… Iba is so noble, such a gentleman and has vowed to protect her no matter what, so for him to have to admit that she’s safest away from him must be the worst… Is it just me or does Chizuru have a comprehension problem? Which part of Iba telling her to leave with Sen meant that he thought she was a nuisance and is overstaying the offer he had previously given??? He even pinned her down before because of the hand and she still doesn’t get that he just wants to protect her?!? Chizuru, are you an idiot? Anyway, I guess she kinda does understand… But damn, I love how Sen phrased it for Iba to understand, that just as he is willing to lay down his life for the shogunate with his loyalty even if there’s probably a very slim chance of them winning at all, Chizuru is the same, she as a woman has already chosen to lay down her life to stay beside him regardless of what may happen because just as he has chosen his path, she has chosen hers to be with him no matter what. Gotta thank Sen for solving their communication problems lmao. On the note of Takeda having those lewd dreams about Chizuru because of Iba’s innate feelings for her + the Demon hand’s power and this connection between the hands causing Takeda to feel a similar way to Chizuru is kindaaaa iffy but okay...

Omggg, Iba has been training himself since he was a kid all this time to be a worthy man for Chizuru! That’s so sweet!! No wonder why he feels so unworthy of her, she’s been like his goal all this time and he never really thought that she’d ever love him back but he still worked for it hoping that one day when he approves of himself, she will too, and his hopes were probably crushed when he became a Fury that always had to drink her blood and have an arm that constantly wanted to attack her, Iba has been really suffering… Anyway, so glad they finally told each other their feelings properly and kissed! Lovely CG as always😉 And so now the Demon hand recognises his emotional resolve and will allow Iba to use it at his will? So, all it needed was a kiss? Considering those lewd dreams, a kiss seems so innocent LOL. Hahaha, well it was more than a kiss I guess, since the kiss was only the result of Iba finally being able to make a breakthrough in terms of his feelings and his mental barriers.

It was so cute when they shared a bed together and he comforted her since she was crying about how so many of the Shinsengumi guys were either dead or had left and they’re unsure of their safety with how the situation is right now… The kiss was nice☺️ Omgg…I can’t believe Nomura was killed in battle and ripped to shreds?!?! That’s so terrible… He was such a happy little guy.. I can’t believe even Hijikata and Motoyama (Iba’s good friend in the Yugeki unit) were killed😭😭 What do they do now??? Oh, I’m really surprised that Saito killed Kodo already, totally thought he was still rampaging around, I guess it’s just Takeda then? Pretty nauseating to imagine him eating all this human flesh and taking their blood though, eughhh… I’m actually surprised that Iba really slashed/stabbed Takeda along with Chizuru when Takeda took her hostage. I really thought he wouldn’t be able to do it since he had always been so adamant on protecting her and never letting her get injured. And then it just kinda time skips to possibly years or so later when she finally wakes up from her comatose state due to the injury, and they can finally enjoy their happy and peaceful life together! Anyway, it ended rather abruptly and in an anticlimactic way tbh since they built up all this tension and the ultimate goal of killing Takeda and it just ended like that? Oh well though lol.

That chapter 2 game over though, I hatee the endings where the guy gets eaten by the Furies, it’s so disgusting and devastating😢 I did like it that Chizuru stabbed the kodachi into her heart to follow him in death though, since really, being tortured into having Takeda’s offspring is definitely worst than death, and you’ll be destroying other people’s lives with that offspring too, so yeah… Oh, well, I guess she does that in the chapter 3 bad ending where she gets tricked and is forced to be Takeda’s slave for the rest of her life😶 The way it happened was so silly though, Chizuru is always so silly😪 Fourth chapter ending was the worst, Takeda legit just killed her and started drinking her blood when he couldn’t win, like cooool🤨 Okay, unrequited love ending was disappointing too lol, not very dramatic at all.

Overall, I quite liked Iba’s route, maybe it’s also because it had a different story instead of the usual Kaoru or the Furies thing, but instead had Takeda and the Demon’s Arm thing, which I guess made it more refreshing. It’s definitely more violent with all the slashing off arms and torturing Iba though. But I did enjoy the “romance”. They didn’t actually spend much time “together” but I did enjoy how noble and kind of a guy Iba always was and how much he respected her and how strong his determination was to protect her. I always found it very endearing and sweet, but I guess that might be considered boring to others, since Iba never overstepped his boundaries and would always think that he’s unworthy of Chizuru, which is so not true! But yeah, he was a true nice guy that tried his best to hold on to his beliefs and also protect Chizuru and I liked that about him.

ohhhhh man okay so there’s this big vine plant at my studio job that’s in the middle of the concrete jungle that i swear has all the butterflies in all of la attracted to it. today i got to work and there were 10 butterflies and no joke hundreds of caterpillars at all stages of their cycled in the yard. there’s hardly anything left of the plant now but there are these beautiful flowers on it called a bluecrown passionflower. how sexy is that

HIII ITS ME HEART FLUTTERING ANON 😁 SO! FAV CHAPTERS EEEE first of all chap 1 had me hooked obviously from the start, and for chap 2 i lovedddd how it set the scene for how they first met and then when they ran into each other again ... literal tingles up and down the way he TALKED to her??? “pretty omega ... i won’t bite” AHHHHHHHHHHHH

and then all of chapter 3 was so good the way he was talking to her again was sooo good so possessive and it was incredible like i don’t know if you understand literally LITERALLY it makes my body tingle and then chap 4 when he carried her through the forest and hes all like “you wouldn’t want me to lose control would you” AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

and then chapter 5 i love that you wrote her a sweet best friend and also that scene where she imagined him .... GOD ur incredible. and then the ENDING. when taehyung popped out .... i’m actually double biased with taehyung and jungkook and so when that happened i was like JHDJSAIWIQKSJJS more tingles it was so well written please

so. in case you haven’t noticed it’s very hard for me to pick a fav chapter. lol. BUT i would def say chap 6 and chap 8 for obvious reasons, chapter 3 and 4 were also really sexy but i think my fav will be chapter 9 actually i’m anticipating it a lot and i’m sure it’ll be nothing but amazing ... that’s not pressure it’s me having faith in you cause you’re an amazing writer and i’m so excited to see what you come up with next hehe

Chapter 1 of COC was written during a lust filled craze following the Idol performance at Gyeongbokgung Palace that they boys did for that BTS week on Jimmy Kimmel’s show. Kook really was in a rare form following his 23rd birthday and that performance truly had me salivating over him from start to finish. I saw Jungkook and my eyes did not stray from him once and not a day later, I was working on a fic that I had no idea would become the 40k plus piece that is now COC.

Chapter 1 was brought you to my overwhelming horniness after that performance and it’s interesting that you were lured to my fic in the same way Jungkook allured me to him even from the moment I first saw him back in 2013.

You caught that little bit with him biting her in chapter 2, huh?? XD I am impressed. Perhaps he was joking, perhaps he knew from that second he saw her that she was destined to be his mate and therefore was hinting at a future mating mark???

Moving on, Jungkook is indeed a very possessive individual (from what we know of him irl in that he’s said “what is yours is mine and what is mine is mine”) and I wanted to depict that side of him in addition to making that trait even more abundant in his character in the story since wolves themselves are very territorial and possessive creatures. If Jungkook irl likes to stake his claim on things, then you can only image how much more enhanced that side of him would be if here were, say, a werewolf.

I am glad you Jungkook’s characterization in the way that he converses with those around him (especially reader) and when I was writing, I wanted reader to feel shy and even more, I wanted you guys as the readers to “feel” the tingle that she does when he speaks to her. The fact that you do means i succeeded in that and I am very, very pleased to hear it!

As for his comment about “losing control,” let us just say that every single time that reader is around him, it takes him an enormous amount of self-restraint not to let his urges take hold of him that she brings out whenever he inhales her pheromones that make his baser being howl with need for in addition to her own personality that he finds very refreshing and adorable. On top of all that, she’s the most beautiful creature he’s ever seen, so he’s quite taken with her and she with him. I wanted to instill that desire between them as well within their conversations and hopefully that is conveyed in the chapters, too!

Chapter five....that one was one written after quite the dream I had. I will say that one was genius if I do say so myself. It was so long and i had so much I wanted to do with it and the final product I was actually really satisfied with. I’m happy to know you were, too, hun! It’s funny you say you are double biased with Tae as someone I know very well irl is biased so hard for him that not even Kook can sway her attention (and lbr how can one NOT look at Jungkook when he’s sin incarnate when he wants to be and cute lil baby boy when he feels like being sweet?)

LISTEN CHAPTER SIX I WROTE IN ANOTHER LUST FILLED HAZE OKAY I MAKE NO APOLOGIES FOR THIGH RIDING I MEAN HAVE YOU SEEN HIS LEGS??? HAVE YOU??? LITERAL ORGASM MATERIAL ISTG I WOULD RIDE THEM WHENEVER, WHEREVER AND HOWEVER HE WANTED IF HE LET ME. MY URL LITERALLY IS JJUNGKOOKSTHIGHS OKAY I MUST PAY HOMAGE TO THE CREATIONS OF THE FINEST MAKING TO MAN (honestly though everything about Jungkook is a gift from the gods). i cannot tell you how many times I have thought about fucking myself over his thighs okay it’s just not healthy and let us leave it at that. Ahem, anyways.... chapter six really was something, huh? That whole chapter got deleted off my computer after I closed the file and forgot to save it and so had to rewrite the whole thing from scratch. It was a sad day when that happened, but I got right back to work and finished the reworked version about two days later. I had worried for some time that that chapter wasn’t as hot because of the diction in it, so hopefully you were able to immerse yourself in that and get those tingles there, too XD

Chapter seven was especially long and that one was actually deleted originally after some comments about the diction and so I had to rewrite it and repost it so that people would be able to understand it better. That whole dance scene is very close to my heart as it was taken directly from that little dance break Jungkook does in his My Time performance during their online MOTS: One concert. The song he sings is also My Time, which is my favorite solo song (in combination with Euphoria because they are both my children and you can’t pick favorites with children lbr), so that whole little show he puts on for reader is very special to me since I love the song (and dance) so much.

Chapter eight was hot af, I admit it. He really did a number on reader in chapter seven and so she wanted to show him how he made her feel and boy, did she deliver. He fell even harder for her when he realized she wanted to please him despite her inexperience and it was a godly experience for him to be able to teach her how to use her mouth on the only cock that she will ever have in her mouth or her cunt. :) They are animals after all, for only animals do what they did in that chapter in terms of her literally rutting against his leg and getting off while she drank his seed after blowing him. Anyways, it was hot and I confess, my mind really was somewhere south while writing that.

Oh, and to clarify, they don’t separate in that chapter (and I have begun to write chapter nine and they are not apart in that one either. Well, in the beginning at least ).

So, chapters 6 and 8 were your favorites, huh? Looks like your favorite ones are the ones with smut , eh??? Interesting... I will say that chapter nine will not have any smut in it, but I think you will be pleased with it when you read it. You will have quite a lot of emotions hit you during it and I hope to do you justice when I post it, hon.
