Okay, hear me out...while this is kinda for me, because I've always thought Asmo and Jimin are similar, I think it fits his personality. The song is about changing to please others. While its not exactly like Asmo to do that I do think he'd be someone who'd fall into a spiral of trying to please everyone if it gets him praise and I can see that maybe being something that happened in the past.

ooh wait have you played three houses?? i saw you mentioned it in one of your recent posts and i got curious. can i ask what are your thoughts on it if you have played it?

also also, have you played pokemon scarlet/violet at all? i’d really love to hear your thoughts on it, especially with its latest dlc ^^ (super sorry i’m grouping two different games in this ask, i didn’t wanna send messages back to back, but feel free to only answer one if you want!)

Oh boy, more opportunities for me the spout nonsense and my odd opinions. I will gladly take it. Buckle up, anon and others reading, because I have a long history with both franchises.

I've been playing Fire Emblem since Fire Emblem: Awakening, then Fates, Heroes, and eventually Three Houses. My take: Awakening is still the best one, but maybe I'm biased. I remember playing it and marrying Chrom on accident, whoops.

Anyways, Three Houses was alright, better than Fates but not better than Awakening. I remember it came out, and I was actually upset because I was in another country on the US release date so I didn't get to play it until I got back. Even when I saw the trailers, I knew I was Golden Deers all the way. Odd, I know, most people prefer the other teams. Claude, Hilda, Marianne, Lysithea, my dears. OH, and before I go on, I just want to say, I hate the female MC. And no, it's not what you think, I only hate her because literally why does her outfit look like that compared to the male MC? Robin from Awakening was always the better protagonist anyways.

After completing the Golden Deers route, I decided I wanted to try and complete all the routes because at that point I disliked a huge majority of the characters. I tried Blue Lions next. At first I didn't really have much of an opinion on Dimitri, but he grew on me eventually, because how could I resist such a miserable brooding man that later gets a soft spot for one person (plus his design was kinda badass)? But I will admit, his behavior immediately post-timeskip was kinda annoying. I thought I would dislike Felix, but shockingly, I didn't, I actually liked him. And you know what? Dedue is CRIMINALLY underrated, he's literally probably the nicest and loyalest dude of all time. He got some hate for his race from some characters, and I actually got heated.

After Blue Lions, I knew I had to play through Black Eagles twice if I wanted the last two routes. However, here's the thing. In both previous routes, Golden Deer and Blue Lions, I had loathed Edelgard. But, I thought to myself, I just needed to try her route and maybe I'll change my mind... Well, I was wrong. Edelgard is probably one of the characters I HATE most in any franchise. And I tried so hard to like her, like I would give her gifts and answer dialogue truthfully, only for the relationship thing to go down. Like damn, okay. I just couldn't stand her. The others in her route were mostly fine, I liked Ferdinand, Bernadetta, Caspar, and Petra. But because of Edelgard, I couldn't even finish her route once and it's still uncompleted to this day.

Now... onto Pokemon.

Fun fact, I completed Pokemon Black and White when I was in first grade and couldn't read everything. Don't ask me how I did it, because I honestly have no clue. I've played every gen since then: Black and White 2, X and Y, Sun and Moon, Ultra Sun and Moon, Sword and Shield, Arceus, Scarlet and Violet. I did indeed preorder the game when it was announced, as I have done for the generations before. Where do you think my username comes from? In most pokemon games, I love collecting shiny pokemon. Shiny.

I was hyped for Scarlet and Violet since the first day it was announced. I lost my mind the day it was first announced and eagerly waited months for it. When it came out, I dropped everything for several days. As a regular fan, I always set this tradition for myself to defeat new pokemon games within or around 24 hours and of course, I did so.

The game itself has a lot of issues, namely the glitches and quality of the frames. But, it's on the switch, so that's to be expected. It felt really rushed in that aspect. I just feel like they could do so much better if they really wanted to, like on par with BOTW or TOTK (those games have bad frames too but at least they look a lot better). As for mechanics, I really missed the mechanics from Arceus, but at least Scarlet and Violet improved upon the poor excuse of the open area that was in Sword and Shield.

Story and characterwise, I'm torn.

Here's what I like: (1) the multiple split routes, (2) certain characters.

(1) It made it feel like you really had a lot to do, and that combined with the open area of the entire map made it seem like a lot. It is a lot. So it's really fun to explore and try to complete everything. Even just walking about, you're bound to get distracted, lost, or find something completely new. I was just playing it a while ago after completing everything and there were still little secrets I didn't notice the first time around.

(2) Arven, my god, do I love a guy with mommy AND daddy issues. And he has a dog? I'm hooked. I didn't expect to get attached to him, but I did. I actually prefer his route purely because of the story within it with his companion. I didn't see that coming, and I was so worked up over it. Another character I like, Director Clavell. A good supporting professor, you love to see it. Wish he showed up more though.

Here's what I dislike: (1) the villains, (2) the gym leaders, and (3) other characters, (4) the leveling system. (5) I'll talk about the dlc last.

(1) We haven't had a good villain team in a while. Black and White was super memorable with N, X and Y's Lysandre with Team Flare was a joke, Sun and Moon's Team Skull with Guzma was actually good because they were funny and non-threatening, Sword and Shield with Team Yell was actual trash, and this Team Star being bad guys but not really bad guys was actually so boring. Let's roll it back to Team Aqua literally planning to recreate a great flood or Team Magma planning to create havoc with volcanoes, Team Plasma that wanted to liberate Pokemon, or Team Galactic that were going to harness the power of time/space/universe and their leader is trapped/died in an empty dimension. They don't make Pokemon villains like they used to, huh?

(2) The gym leaders are very forgettable this time around. Like, they don't play much of a role aside battling, and after that you don't really see them again at all. It's a shame, because some of them have potential for greater use and have really good designs. Not to mention, they were all weak as hell.

(3) The Champion was a let down. Geeta (I had to look up her name). I was iffy when I first saw images of her, I didn't like her design but I just decided to go with the flow and I'll probably change my mind. I didn't. She's as forgettable of a champion as Alder and Diantha were. At least we saw Leon in the SwSh a lot and we got to hear from characters about how strong he was. Geeta wasn't like that at all, her team was a joke. Nemona as a rival was annoying, she got on my nerves from the first few moments we met her. I think Penny had potential, but I just didn't like her.

(4) The leveling system was really annoying. What happened was, I tried to complete the other two routes first and save the gym leaders for last. However, when I did this, because I didn't have any gym badges, new pokemon caught wouldn't listen even if my other pokemon were like 20 or more levels above them. So I had to pause the other route, just to do some of the gyms that way I could actually use new pokemon. I know they tried the system to prevent people from just cheating the system by automatically getting high-leveled pokemon from friends, but it just got in the way.

(5) DLC so far... not a fan. I mean, it's something. It's there. It's a thing. But it has nothing so far that makes me like it. The rivals are meh, and the region confuses the hell out of me. I don't get why do Scarlet and Violet region of Paldea based off Spain, but then have a DLC with an island that's so very obviously based off Japan. They could've picked anything around Spain but go back to Japan when 4/9 of the regions are already supposedly based off Japan? Idk, it was kind of a let down to be honest. I haven't completed the dlc, so I still have to do that. The new map is small, but I heard the next dlc is supposed to be huge so here's to hoping that one is better?

You were never meant to be a fighter, it just wasn't in your bloodline. Your parents were doctors, who healed the fighters or the civilians who were injured. You continued in their footsteps and became a doctor for the soldiers who fought against the beastly titans.

Many respected you, such as Sasha, Armin, Mikasa, Eren, and Levi. But there were some who saw you as useless, thinking you were only a doctor cause you aren't strong enough to be a soldier. It didn't bother you at first, but after some time of hearing the same things over and over... It became a worry that it was in fact true

"You're good to go Levi." You reassured, finishing the last of his stitching.

"Thank you Dr. L/n, I'd be a mess if it weren't for your work." Levi encouraged, not ignoring how your warm smile faded a few times while you were attending his wounds.

"It's not much really, anyone could do it." You reply lightly, your voice was playful but your eyes looked dull.

Levi has known you since he was a child, you two may have not been best friends but he did consider you to be someone he can go to for help or if he's bored. You were a very optimistic and pure hearted person, so it was surprising to hear you degrade yourself even if it was in a light manner.

"Not everyone can do what you do y/n, you have a talent of healing people." Levi countered, gently fidgeting with some of your tools.

"Yeah, but healing people is not as important as being a fighter." You retorted, making Levi now realize something was definitely wrong with you.

"You're acting strange y/n. What's wrong?" He asked, taking cautious steps towards you.

You hated those words, you knew Levi didn't know this so you didn't lash out at him. But those words are something you dreaded strongly, it was the last words your mother spoke before your father killed her and then himself... Too scared to live on in this titan infested hell.

You hated being compared to your father when it came to healing, everyone assumed they died because of titans when in fact your father became weak and ruined your life. You hated being compared to someone who wouldn't fight for his life, and being told that you are weak... Just like your father was.

"Nothing... Just tired today." You whispered, looking out your window to see the soldiers gathering around the building and chatting.

"I have to clean up, you should go chat with your teammates Levi." You suggested, your face now completely numb as you tried to hide the heartbreak you felt.

Levi did as you asked, but he mostly just nodded along with he conversations silently, his head racing with ideas as to why you were so upset. That's when he overhears Gabi mention your name to the crowd around her. He gently walked closer only to hear...

"I could kick their ass so easily... Anyone could."

"I heard y/n likes Levi, as if he'd like a wimp."

"I'm not being bratty, I'm being truthful."

"Shut up Mikasa, you know I'm right."

"Y/n is useless and has no one, they could die and it wouldn't effect a thing."

How long has Gabi been going on about you like this? Is this why you seemed so upset earlier? Why does Gabi hate you so much? Those were all questions that Levi had going through his mind, stopping when he caught eyes with the bratty survey corp girl.

"I would scold you for talking so badly about y/n Gabi, but I don't have much time to talk to trash." Levi sneered, walking towards your house since you would've already left your work by this time.

"Levi wait!" Armin yelled, catching the attention of the cold expressioned slayer.

"Y/n isn't home tonight, on Fridays y/n visits her/his mother's grave around this time." Armin explained, watching as Levi's eyes softened slightly at the thought of an already sad version of you visiting your mother's grave... You must be so hurt right now.

Levi gave a thankful nod to Armin, before rushing off towards the graveyard. He was mad at Gabi for treating you like this for God knows how long, but the last thing he wanted to do right now was add to the negativity. You needed to be lifted up a bit.

Levi noticed your sobbing figure hunched over your mother's grave, mumbling words he couldn't quite hear because your voice was so fragile. He made you jump slightly when he placed his hand on the middle of your back, rubbing a slow circle to ease your sobs.

"What are you doing here?" You asked, trying to sniffle away the last of your tears.

"I heard from Armin that you come here on Fridays, and I thought you could use some comfort after the abuse Gabi has given you." Levi explained, placing his head on top of yours as you nuzzled into his shoulder.

"Maybe she's right... Maybe I am useless. I don't have anyone, I can't fight, I can only heal the survey corps like my putrid father did." You sigh, Levi's eyes widening at the fact that you weren't close to your father.

"I don't want to be like my dad, he was weak. He is the reason my mom is dead, he killed my mom and then himself because he couldn't take the stress of living on this titan infested world. And he left me behind, looking me in the eyes when he pulled the trigger. I don't want to be like him Levi... I'm don't want to be weak. " You ranted, hearing a small gasp escape from Levi's lips.

No one knew the story behind your parents, they just assumed they died from a titan attack. Levi felt a bit bad for never checking in on you to see if you were okay or asking you about your past... Instead you kept it all to yourself until it overflowed.

"If I did die, would anyone even care?"

"Don't say shit like that, I won't let it happen." Levi warned, not wanting to hear you degrade yourself any longer.

"I would care, Mikasa would care, Armin would care, Eren would care, Sasha would care... So many people love you y/n. I would not be the same if you ever died, I'd become numb because I wouldn't have my ball of happiness anymore." Levi explained, gently tugging at your heart strings without realizing.

"Plus, I'd feel terrible that I'd never be able to confess to you." He continued, smiling warmly when he heard your gentle gasp.

Levi gently cupped your face in his hands, his sharp cat-like eyes looking directly into yours as your face heated up with blush. In a matter of seconds, you felt Levi's lips slot in between yours softly. His lips were cold but very soft, they tasted like fresh bread and sweet coffee.

The kiss was never meant to be long and steamy, so you were both satisfied when you parted ways after only a few seconds.

"Remember that I care about you, and wouldn't know what to do if I ever lost you" Levi reassured, making your eyes gloss up with new tears.

"Thank you Levi." You whispered, clinging onto his soldier jacket as he jumped back slightly by your tight hold.

"No worries my sunshine." He whispered, pressing a kiss to the crown of your head as you both overheard Eren scolding Gabi for her toxic behavior.

Unpopular opinion : recently I’ve read dozens of Levi x reader fan fiction to heal my aching heart from last chapters of manga and I’ve noticed that Petra was diminished to a petty role of “another woman” in like all of them and she has no character traits other than “kind but super clingy and possessive of Levi” and which is kinda frustrating. I personally think that canonically Erwin would be “another woman” more than Petra and now I wish there was a more realistic fan fiction depicting this 🤣🤣

She’d done it. Actually, excitedly, succeeded. There never was any doubt in his mind - Ethan would be proud of her regardless of her success. Just taking the leap was celebration enough.

Now... Now he’s standing in the middle of a crowd flooded with boorish tech and medical moguls in an over-decorated elite ballroom on a Friday night. Willingly. Happily watching as she addresses the crowd from the glass podium. The face and voice of the company calmly, humbly, presenting first year figures. 10 million subscribers and turning a small profit on top of that. She’s beginning to revolutionize medicine, like she swore she would five years ago. He couldn’t be prouder or more captivated that her name now outshines his, for a handful more reasons.

Ethan gazes at her intently from his spot by the expansive windows overlooking the city. Watches as she effortlessly parts the crowd on her way back to him. A jubilant smile tugs at the corner of his mouth as she ignores those tying to vie for her ear - her sights set on him and him alone. A magnet finding its match.

“You were amazing,” he says as he takes her hand - the one not clutching a glass of champagne.

He feels her trembling, he noticed the uneven shakes of the glass as she moved towards him. Odette’s a bit shaky as the adrenaline she’s been coasting on wears off. Her emerald eyes darting around the room at the feeling of all eyes on her, bodies closing in to try getting her alone. To pick her brain. Shower her with praise. All the kinds of things sharks prey on.

The part of the job she will never be fond of.

Ethan moves closer so that there’s barely any space between them, enough that its not so unsavory in such a public setting. Pulls her focus back to his face - his gleaming azure eyes and illustrious smile. The creases fully from years of laughter on display for her and because of her. A hand on her hip anchors her to him and only him.

He leans. Hears Odette’s breath catch in preparation, her fingers twining with his. Ethan places a chaste, refreshing kiss to her lips, and every worry she’s had leaves her.

She can face anything as long as she has him.

Summary: After months apart, you receive a letter saying Erwin is finally due to come home.

Ever since Erwin left, you'd been waiting for him to come back home. You resorted to keeping yourself busy; spending your mornings on chores, and afternoons on the front porch.

Didn't make you miss him less. Not really.

Of course, the work did help a little.

Having been left the farmhouse as an inheritance, you decided to turn it into a board house. That was before the war, and Erwin was more than happy to help you run it. It was a little big for just the both of you, especially with no children, so the company wasn't unwelcome. In fact, you'd gained a few permanent residents, or friends as they'd be more commonly called.

However, a few of those were called away too.

Levi Ackerman, the owner of a teashop in town, who boarded with you and often helped with cleaning, was called away. He was now a Captain.

Miche had to leave his wife, Nanaba, and now served right under Erwin. You liked that. The both of them got along very well. It was good to know that they both had a friend to turn to.

And of course, your own husband, Erwin.

Lieutenant General Erwin Smith.

You wanted nothing more than for him to come home.

You mornings went;

Wake.

Let out the chickens.

Feed the chickens.

Collect the eggs.

Feed the cows, Fapp, Cobblestone, and Balloon, who were affectionately named by the son of the famer you bought them from.

Take the horse, Tumbleweed, for a ride.

Console Tumbleweed about his friend, Erwin's horse, being away.

Feed Tumbleweed.

Make breakfast to feed the people.

Collect and do the laundry.

Hang the laundry.

Clean a little, especially Levi's room for when he comes back.

Prepare lunch.

Collect laundry if dry.

Call lunch.

Then, after lunch, it was all the same. You settled in a whicker chair on the front porch, on a good day you'd have a book in hand, and wait. Staring down the dirt driveway, to the gap between the row of trees, waiting.

Waiting, waiting, waiting for that golden hair you loved so much.

Waiting for the broad-shoulders, and wearing the same army-issued uniform you waved him off in.

It was one of those days when no 'good' news comes by, and when your newest boarder, Petra, started a sprint down the driveway, screaming bloody murder, you didn't think she bared such 'good news'. She was only supposed to be collecting mail, not kicking up dust all the way to the front steps.

She gasped, gulping in air with her head being thrown back and forth, before giving up and just waving a piece of folded paper and it's envelope at you. You took it, slipping the envelope between your fingers before unfolding the paper to read it's contents.

As you read, your eyes started to water, chest tightened, you clutched a hand over your heart, not believing what you were reading.

A Honorable Discharge. Erwin was coming home.

Looking back at the envelope, you noted it was dated a few days ago, and the mail ran a little slower in wartime. If you guessed right, a week and he'd be home.

Over the next few days, you were refreshed with a new-found vigor.

Nanaba also got a notice, saying Miche was coming home too, so she was more than excited to help spread your shared joy. You did hope Levi would join you all soon. While the war wasn't over yet, you were getting tired as hell, and you didn't doubt once that it wasn't any better for your soldiers out doing the fighting.

Petra was practically praying to the flowerbeds out the farmhouse front to bloom in time for their homecoming. She'd never met them before, but from the stories told, she was feeling just the same as you were.

You other boarders, two young teens by the name of Jean and Marco, took it upon themselves to try their hand at fixing up the house. Which was a big job in itself, considering the only person to maintain it was you for the past too-long. You didn't ask for much board that week. The work they put in was pay enough for their stay.

The people in the town a few miles away were happy to share in such positive news too. No doubt, it was the best they'd heard in a while too. Since Erwin was a young boy, he was known by many, many people, even by folks a few towns over. He knew how to do a lot, and if something required more than just him, he could always rally the community together. This time it seamed the community was rallying together for him.

Even the local butcher offered to spare some meat for the night he came home.

It was bedsheet day.

You were outside, pegging up another row of white sheets, the sun shining down on your forehead and shoulders. You debated going and grabbing a hat, but didn't. You only had two more to go, and they took next to no time at all. You reached to grab the basket, hauling the empty carrier onto your hip, then started the short journey back inside.

For some unknown reason, today, you took a quick walk around the house instead of going straight in the back door. To see the flowers? Check the paint job Marco did? You didn't know why. But then something compelled you to look up the driveway.

There, with a bag slung over his shoulder, and his best friend by his side, was Erwin.

"Nanaba!" you yelled, and after seeing her poke her head out a window, with her mouth agape, you turned back around, willing yourself to get moving.

One foot, then the next.

You dropped the basket, and started running.

Erwin smiled at you, meeting your teary eyes with his own, and broke out of his stride beside Miche to run to you too.

He dropped his bag a step away, and caught you in his hold, and arm wrapped secure around your waist, and his face nestled in the crook of your neck. You felt yourself start to sob, body shaking as you wrapped yourself around him, not ever wanting to let go again.

Somewhere behind you, Miche and Nanaba met.

"I missed you so much." he said, voice faint and watery. You stuck your fingers in the hair at the back of his head, pulling yourselves apart far enough to meet in the middle.

He tasted of tears, salty and wet, but he was Erwin, he was home. Warm, comforting, and so desperate at the same time. It was almost strange, how deep his kiss hit you. You felt it right in your soul, panging right at your heart and making it beat in time with his own. You didn't realized how much you missed him, how much you craved his touch, until his absence. Until you had him return now.

"I love you." He barely backed off. "I love you."

"Erwin," you breathed, looking into his eyes and tracing your fingers across the sides of his face - from his jaw to the corners of his eyes. "Please don't leave again."

"No," he groaned, "I don't plan on it, ever again."
