It's WIP Wednesday!

This is a bit from my sp00qy season WIP, which is actually a 00q and NomiPenny (NoMoney? which do we like better?) double feature exploring the run-up to Moneypenny's annual Halloween party. It's set in a completely self-indulgent world where all of the good stuff from NTTD (Bond is retired! Nomi is 007!) happens, and none of the bad things do. Excerpt below the cut!

“Morning,” said a voice behind him. Bond turned to find Nomi walking down the hall, as insouciant as ever in a white suit jacket and white trousers. “I see they’re letting anyone into the building these days. How lowering. Is that coffee in need of a good home? Because—“

“Don’t you dare.” Moneypenny breezed around a corner and relieved James of his drinks tray. “Morning, Bond. I’ve got bad news, by the way, you’re going to need to start doubling the order. Mallory knows, and he wants in.”

“Mallory wants an oatmilk latte?”

“That’s the part you’re concerned about?” Moneypenny asked, opening the pastry bag. “And no, he wants a black coffee with one and a half sugars, and a plain croissant. Same time as my delivery is fine.”

Bond rubbed at his face. “One and a half—Jesus. Fine. This is extortionate, though, just so you know.”

“It would be, except you volunteered to be extorted in the first place.” Moneypenny countered, her mouth full of muffin.

“Not by Mallory,” Bond grumbled.

“Then maybe you shouldn’t have snogged your boyfriend in the garage. Mallory’s car has a motion-activated dash cam.”

“Shit. Noted.”

“Get on with you, then.” Moneypenny waved a hand at him. “You too, 007. I’ll see you later.”

“Yes. Definitely!” Nomi called after Moneypenny. “Have a nice face!”

Moneypenny turned around. “Have a nice what?”

Я б сказала, что все зуйня, кроме пчёл... Но даже пчелы не идут ни в какое сравнение с той задницей, в которую я скатываясь.

Обычно в частушках поют что-то вроде " Двадцать лет, а сисек нет, это некрасиво", - так вот. 25 лет, а мпзгов так и нет...

Пришла зарплата. Не много, но на самое, как мне казалось, необходимое, у меня было. Мыльно-рыльные, стиральные, моющие, заправиться, купить пожрать... Ну и по мелочи, вещи которые будут полезны или приятны.

Итог - зарплаты нет... А я дура.

Потому что машина до сих пор не перерегистрирована. И это надо было сделать ВОТПРЯМЩАС. А ещё у Тимо закрылись выходные, потому что - опять же! - у меня нет денег чтобы заправить лодку.

И я в целом начинаю подозревать, что тот каждый первый, (за редким исключением), который говорил мне что я - ничто, - оказался прав. Потому что я уже и сама думаю, что я просто мусор.

Мусор.

I don't have "wine," but I do have "tea" (though maybe not the tea you might be thinking of)! This is from my WIP "Goodnight Noises Everywhere," where Q is struck with a sudden bout of insomnia:

He even spends a solid week drinking liters of SleepyBear Bedtime Tea in an effort to hack his own system, and he grows to both love and hate SleepyBear in equal measure: his twee little striped nightshirt and matching cap, his fuzzy slippers which are surely overkill given that he is, ostensibly, a bear.

And there are no "lips" (yet... ::eyes emoji::), but I can offer "face"! This is from my sp00qy season 00q/NomiPenny (NoMoney?) double feature, where, among other shenanigans, Nomi's legendary flirting ability fails her when it truly counts:

"It’s just, I’ve been thinking a lot about faces lately, you know? My own face. Other people’s…faces. He’s got a nice one,” Nomi added, reaching out and touching James’s cheek in a gesture that was somewhere between a squeeze and a pat. “Relatively, I mean. For a man.”
