Izzy-centric, any ships — Izzy gives up, his body gives out

At some point, Izzy reaches his breaking point and just stops fighting. Maybe it's the reunion, maybe Ed tells Izzy he's not needed/wanted, maybe the kraken burns away Izzy's X tattoo/take his ring. Maybe Izzy is no longer first mate.

In any case, the final straw, Izzy stops fighting. And it was really only the fight that was keeping him running. Old battle injuries, sore muscles, maybe infection to the toe. Once Izzy isn't fighting anymore he straight up collapses, his body gives out. He doesn't have the willpower left to keep on like this.

Angst, sickfic, hurt/comfort, character death. Do with this idea what you will.

Eddie/Buck — Helping out (Babying??)

Buck suffers burns on his hands and struggles with a lot of things, like cutting up his food, making food, dressing and undressing and so on. So of course Eddie offers him to stay at his place so Eddie can help him. Buck finds that he enjoys being taken care of by Eddie and maybe pretends his hurt for a while longer than he actually is just so he can stay and have Eddie take care of him.

Here are some photos of the Amok Time Spirk cosplay I made for me and my friend for a convention!

obligatory spirk pic (we took a lot of very cute photos I have a whole folder in my phone)

It was quite a process honestly. We bought shirts from a thrift store and I altered them to be tight fitting. Then we added the black collar, which was very much eyeballing it but I think it turned out pretty good. We had to put some stealth safety pins in it to wear it though, so that the collar would fit snug to the neck (we couldn’t make them smaller because yk your head has to fit through). The rank stripes are giftwrap and glue lol but honestly they look really accurate (makes me wonder if they didn’t just do the same thing back in the 60s tbh). The insignias we also made ourselves. We cut them out on white fabric and sprayed it with gold spray and then I printed and cut out a stencil and did the black lines with marker.

Also, the most stressful moment in my entire sewing experience had to be cutting the slit into the Kirk uniform. All that work and i just have to cut into it. You better believe I measured and tried it over twenty times before cutting. Also I took a lot of photos before so I’d have something if I ruined it lol

Btw I stuck two pieces of bandaid on the inside at the ends of the slit to prevent it from ripping further.

I was in a library and there was a 90-something year old man very clearly out of it, so I went to him and asked him if I could help. He said he was fine, but I didn't really believe him so I stayed nearby. Suddenly, two more 90-something year olds appeared and started threatening me, then they stabbed the first man, after which they went on to float towards me while T-Posing to, presumably, stab me too. It was quite unpleasant.

Thank you!!

I really wanted to focus on how Steve's parents are abusive in a way that is a lot harder to clock.

They're not out there screaming and kicking him out of the house. These people want you to like them, and they lie like they breath.

These are the adults who downplay serious issues, who make you doubt yourself, who smooth things over or even apologize on your behalf as a way to control and isolate you.

If everyone thinks you're terrible, and your amazing, doting, angelic parents are once again swooping in to save you, then your escape routes close up rapidly--which is of course, the whole point. They want their victims to rely on them and them alone.

For a lot of the Party, that's just not an evil they've encountered yet.

Throw in the fact that Steve does in fact, have a head injury, and things get muddy FAST.

It makes for delicious, angst-ridden scenarios and I am delighted everyone's happy to come along for the ride.

#its not as obvious in part one #but Steves brain injury does come into play a lot more in part two #t I gave Steve my own traumatic brain injury so hes just having a blast on all fronts #and you can see it more when both parts are together but he IS struggling to explain himself. The beauty of his asshole parents though #is that even if he DIDNT HAVE a TBI and six million concussions #hed still struggle to get his friends to fully believe him #because hes rich #hes outwardly “happy” or otherwise not showing signs of being abused in the way people tend to think of abuse #Steves fighting against public perception #his parents very good PR #and his own upbringing and mindset he was trained to have to break out of it #in his head he has no safety net #and his friends are proving that with each argument he has #its also why Tommy tips him off but doesnt “help” him because Tommy is in similar situations--he does what his parents want and doesnt caus #problems or else he too #will face the consequences of no safety net

Gen or Any/Izzy, Izzy + Crew — 5+1, Izzy is a Total Mom

5 times Izzy was a total mom to the crew (and they were too dumbfounded to appreciate it) + 1 time the crew thanks him for it (and accidentally invents Mother's Day).

Some potential ideas: * Izzy has snacks on him, like all the time. Feeling faint? Having a low blood sugar attack? Just in the mood for something to nosh on? He's got you covered. Nobody knows where in the hell the snacks come from, seeing as the man wears skintight leather with no visible pockets, but nobody is complaining. * Caretaking. Izzy is just about the least squeamish person on the face of the earth, and has no qualms sponge-bathing crew members too sick/weak to wash themselves, handling chamber pots, or dealing with anything relating to vomit. * Izzy singing to a crew member that's had a nightmare. * Soccer Mom Izzy in charge of a group excursion to teach the crew how to swim. * Izzy tending to minor injuries the crew's suffered, like rope burns and scraped knees. He's 100% the type to try and distract from the pain by telling horror stories about injuries that he's suffered, which only works about 25% of the time. The other 75% it just freaks people out more.

This list is by no means exhaustive! It's just some suggestions.
