Latin Literature Tournament - Round 1
Propaganda under the cut!
Suetonius Propaganda
I say this with all love and affection--Suetonius is so full of shit. Like reading a magazine in the grocery impulse aisle, in the best possible way
Has very cool intratextual bits and ring structures
He runs on pure vibes, and honestly I love this for him
Vergil Propaganda:
The vates himself, everyone. The poet so good that the Church was like "okay yeah this one magical pagan can stay"
The Fourth Eclogue is such a weird little delight. Is it about the children of Antony? Augustus? Is it a prediction of the birth of Christ? Is it somehow, as I heard one professor suggest for some reason, about Gallus? The possibilities are endless
Are you going to vote against the world-shattering masterpiece that is the Aeneid?
Side note, if you spell it "Virgil" you are my enemy

Guess the drunken cat is out of the bag. Alongside being a writer for Lackadaisy, I'm psyched to announce that I'll also be voicing Virgil! @lackadaisycats

sorry if I'm impolite!I'm not good at Ehglish..
But I'm curious about Virgil is he has more opportunities to play?I don't know how but he's so cute
and you're so amazing to draw this comic for such a long time!!like your art and I also want to know what support you gone so far,YOU'RE LEGEND
Thank you - that's exceedingly kind!
Virgil looks like he's trying to figure out which direction he's facing here. But once he sorts that out, yes, he'll be back in animated form!

Just some sides being their normal idiotic selves.
First image: You're all gonna need to tear Janus is the shortest from my cold dead HANDS!
The second image: He likely got too many L's during a debate with Logan about a thing Thomas was asking for input about.

more portal refs!! 🗣️🗣️🗣️
this time featuring p-body, atlas, and some fanmade mods characters!
just a little note for virgil, in android au (and portal stories mel ig) he’s made in the 70s but as a human he was born much earlier than that. i wanted him and mel to be around the same age and they meet in the 50s era aperture 💆🏻💃🏻 apologies if things are unclear fhsjfjsj
a third batch will come in the future (i’ll include grady and portal revolution characters) and maybeee a fourth one for remaining characters like caroline, cave johnson, doug rattmann, the announcer (yes even him because i wanna design) and more. im crazy. im insane. It feels great to be drawing everyone like this ❤️ the portal character roster is actually pretty big if you want it to be x))

ah, you know what my first thought was when i got to this scene?
when logan started off as the side who tried to approach problems as fairly and open-mindedly as possible, and encouraged thomas to not jump to conclusions or assume ill intent.
but he gets ignored, underestimated and sidelined so often that he himself started giving in to the cognitive distortions.

taking a break from some bigger projects to do textpost redraws
[id: a mini comic inspired by a text post from biggest-gaudiest-patronuses. the first panel includes the text "Show up uninvited! Invite yourself to the party! Be the belle of the ball! Make a scene." in it, remus sanders is standing in the middle of patton sanders (left) and virgil sanders (right). remus is smiling and winking at patton, presumably talking to him, while patton looks visibly uncomfortable. virgil, meanwhile, is trying to hide from remus, using the right edge of the screen as a wall to take cover behind.
the second panel includes the text "Get kicked out." in it, a simplified doodle of remus is sitting by himself, outside of the discussion room. it has a blank stare on its face.
the final panel includes the text "Set fire to the lawn." the doodle from the previous panel has been greatly enlarged to show that the camera has zoomed in on remus. his blank stare has been changed to a mischievous grin with furrowed eyebrows. he is holding pyro from team fortress 2's flamethrower. end id]
