Dong Ho, a traditional Vietnamese folk art, was nearly lost to history due to the horrors of the Vietnam war. Today, just two family lines keep the intricate paintings alive, preserving the rich cultural heritage of Vietnam.

Ancient mascots
I’m experimenting new coloring and drawing techniques and i gotta say i love how it turned out!
The lion and the pheonix are ancient animals in many Asian cultures including Vietnam and i love bringing pieces of my home country into my works with a more festive and colorful look. Enjoy!

Imagine being rich and paying for bland minimalist textiles and cold sterilized homes when you could be paying folk artists handsomely for handcrafted beauty and color —helping preserve honestly quite priceless artistic traditions and supporting the people who keep these legacies alive— instead.

More Scarab studies but in 2D form!!!
Drawing his legs can either be a blessing or a nightmare- I'm not proud of the studies with him opening his faceplate but I refined those in further drawings, don't worry I will post later (maybe-)
I just really love him, if you can't tell already

Image 1: A full body digital painting of An - a naga-like humanoid - against a beige background and a decorative circle depicting a pear blossom branch across a mountain range. They stand with their head tilted to the side with a slight frown. They wear two layers of black giao lĩnh: the vietnamese cross-collared robe. On top of the cross-collared robe is a dark brown viên lĩnh bán tí: a round-collared robe with short sleeves. Tied at the waist is a long thin sash, and around their neck is a short scarf in shades of blue and vibrant red. An has fair skin and oval face, red eyes, sharp lashes. Their red hair is wrapped in a male-style khăn vấn (head wrap), and their snake tail has bright green scales.
Image 2: A full body digital painting of Rua - also a naga-like humanoid - against a beige background and a decorative circle depicting two red pomegranates on a swirling blue backdrop. Rua has a cocky expression as they bend their left arm in front of them. They wear a light blue stylized version of the áo dài dress—a traditional Vietnamese long silk tunic with slits on the sides. They wear flowery accessories in their hair. Rua has medium brown skin, blue eyes, black hair, thin golden strokes of paint under their eyes, and glowing baby-blue scales on their snake tail.
Image 3: A close-up view of the An painting from the waist up, with the following text displayed: "An Soreiyuu - The poisonous scholar. Youngest of a crumbling noble house and its only saving grace, they entered the Court of Shuengol with the sole purpose of lifting their family from the brink of destruction. A bright mind that only turns their gaze upward, casting shadows on all those beneath them."
Image 4: A close-up view of the Rua painting from the waist up, with the following text displayed: "Rua Narsi - The ruthless advisor. Once House Narsi's prized singer, a rising star struck down at their prime by a terrible misfortune, they now embark on the quest to stand once again on the summit of glory. A self-centered prodigy, gravitating toward darkness even as their most noble self."
