you know s2 of the 100 will always be my favorite season, it was brilliant and the writing was absolutely incredible and I don't think any season will ever top it but saying that, S4 does come close!!! it was exciting and the writing was good and the storyline of trying to save everyone was so good and bellarke actually interacted most of the episodes maybe that's partly why I loved it lol also loved s6 though mostly for bellarke but also the storyline was decent! i understand why some didn't like s5 it wasn't my favorite but I never would've wanted the 100 to be cancelled before s6 because some of those bellarke moments in S5&6 were incredible and 6x10 is one of my favorite episodes and if we hadn't had that episode I would've been so sad!! jroth is a petty pos they wrote a scene where bellarke got together in 6x11 then he changed his mind because he sucks and they did a total 180 and rewrote it ugh anyone that watched the show and didn't think bellarke was leading to endgame was in denial truly!! all the foreshadowing, all the parallels and quotes about love and etc they were supposed to be endgame end of the story! whether you hate them or not it was supposed to be them together!! I got off topic I always do because I'm so upset and angry they weren't endgame but yeah!! I'm actually on the S4 finale in my rewatch and I genuinely did love that season for more than just bellarke but yeah!
also s7 doesn't exist bye lol

I just read Mammon's The Guardian Demon devilgram. Adorable! Mammon is top tier dad. My mc will fight those witch and raise that girl in Devildom with her father as God (or whatever obey me verison of God is) intended! I need dad Mammon in my life right now. Does the game mention his daughter more in other stuff?
Also Imma punch Solomon in the face. Sometimes this game makes it really hard to like Solomon. Why is he written to go out of his way to put down Mammon!? Yes, all of his brothers do it, but at least they know him and care about him when they're not being shitheads to each other. Why does Solomon have so much beef with Mammon? I'm not saying he can't, because everyone does. But idk it feels more aggressive when it comes from Solomon. Maybe it's because I haven't seen much of his character aside from the devilgrams and pop quizzes.
-💙🐏
Yes!! Definitely one of my favourite devilgrams! Outside of the Devilgram they mention her in S1 and in S3, I believe, Mammon mentions the three witches and going up to the human world frequently to meet them
Okay so about Solomon,
-> He thinks in a very practical way rather than an emotional way and, though his constant smile and upbeat attitude may not show it, he's rather cynical (the complete opposite of Mammon). We see this a lot in Nightbringer, where he's constantly preparing for a fight between the human world and other two realms and is heavily skeptical when MC talks about making the other two realms see humans as equals without it leading to a fight.
-> He talks about how demons (and angels) look down on humans and about wanting to make them see humans as equals but he himself seems to see demons as lesser than humans. He somewhat admits this in s3? s4? where he says he only started seeing demons as friends recently. But even this doesn't stop him from collecting them and trying to use them as weapons against their own people if he needs to
-> Solomon has lived a long time and it's made him very stuck in his belief that demons (and angels) see humans as lesser beings and nothing, other than proving it wrong through force, will change that. Even though we do see the attitudes of demons changing slowly throughout s1-4 with Diavolo's pilot exchange program
-> Solomon doesn't really have any family members or even close friends when he's first introduced in S1. The closest people to him are Asmo, Barbatos and Thirteen and we already know that he didn't see the demons he had pacts with as friends until recently. So that just leaves Thirteen, with whom he has a very atypical friendship. They care about each other but they wouldn't put each other before anything else. He doesn't seem to have the best understanding on what typical (specially familial) relationships are like. This is why Solomon initially believes that MC, being human, would be like him and pick the safety of humanity over their loved ones. When almost any average human would tell you that they'd pick their loved ones over countless faceless strangers - something even Nightbringer knew
So Mammon's whole deal with the witches for the sake of some human child probably made him very skeptical. And so he tries to break it down to something that's more understandable to him, something that fits within his belief system
Eg: "Oh she's not excited to see Mammon because she sees him like a family member she just has a silly little kiddie crush on him"
^ Which is an insane thing for him to say, specially when both Mammon and MC (two of the most emotionally intelligent characters in om!) instantly pick out the fact that the girl sees Mammon as a father figure
But Solomon interprets it like a crush because crushes make sense. You can have a crush on a demon, specially if they helped you out. Hell, there are demons specifically there for you to have crushes on like Asmo and the succubi and incubi. But for a demon and a human to see each other as family? That's strange
Anyway Solomon is such a complex and interesting character, there's just so much you can unpack there, but I tried to keep this short as possible

Idk if this has been talked about before but do you think Hordak and Wrong Hordak are kind of parallels to catra and adora? Adora and WH both fully believed the hoard was truly good, and only defected when they realized it was a lie. Their values never changed, their realities did. Catra and Hordak both seemed to know the hoard was actually pretty evil, but didn't care. They both had there own reasons to rebel in the end, personal pride and whatnot, but mostly it was their love for adora and entrapta that pushed them to change sides.
Yes, I absolutely do.
Wrong Hordak even has a scene where he's petting a horse for the first time, just like Adora!!! And they both have this sort of existential crisis.
They both believed they were honorable missionaries of the Horde, that the Horde was perfect. Whether it was Adora believing the Horde were victims of rebel insurgents, or Wrong Hordak believing that Prime was the smartest and most merciful man in the universe. Sweary Shera amps this up to 11 with their Wrong Hordak having heard a bunch of lies about gay people, kind of like how Adora heard a bunch of lies about princesses (also gay people).
With Catra and Hordak, it's more like... okay, yeah, they were ALSO brought up in these cults. And I would actually say that Hordak was far more "brainwashed" than Catra, because to begin with Hordak fully believed in the hype of Prime, at least for a while. He was cast aside as a defect, and knew of the violence of the Horde, but still believed in his creator's perfection, unlike Catra, who knew from the start that Weaver was full of shit and realised over time that Hordak was too.
I'd say though that both of them were SCARED of their masters, and were trying to get their approval, to sort of... prove that they were wrong about them. Because the little voice Prime and Weaver put in their heads says "You are wrong, you are a failure", and they need to silence that in order to function. This is why Catra never defected, she needed to prove herself in the system and Weaver would "win" if she quit, and this is why Hordak scrambled to Prime's feet once he arrived.
But something changed over time. The versions of Hordak and Catra we get at the end of Season 4, their hearts aren't in it anymore. All of their actions across S4 are driven by different motivations to before.
For Hordak, his motivation actually flips over - He hardly gives a shit about reuniting with Prime anymore! What he wants to do is prove to Entrapta that she was wrong for leaving him behind, and prove to himself that he isn't a worthless piece of shit failure like everyone thinks he is. Hordak goes from a sheltered scientist to leading the army on the front lines, embracing the violence of a warlord and sort of making a name for himself rather than hiding behind the rest of the Horde. He's in the state of mind Catra was in the previous seasons!!!
For Catra, her motivation... well, it ends. We saw the fire and rage from her in the previous season where she was so determined to prove herself that she ended the world, and this is a Catra who has to deal with the consequences of that. She realises that she has very little left in her life and she tries to cling onto those ideas, even to bond with Hordak despite everything he's done to her, and she goes through the ten stages of grief, ending up on Prime's doorstep as having... started to think about what it is she really wants. Like, she sees Glimmer fuck up big time but try to fix it anyway, she goes "You can do that???", and I think Catra starts to accept she still cares about people, she cares about Adora and even Glimmer and Hordak. She's a character filled with so much empathy who tries to crush it dry.
Hordak and Catra both get the "death and rebirth" in the final season, after their "rebirth" they become more introspective with all the rage tempered or gone. Hordak, in close proximity to Prime, starts to see how truly weak the man is, and how hollow his version of "Love" is, especially compared to the sheer strength of heart he sees from Entrapta. And Catra, in "Save the Cat", are their bare selves, all notions of hero vs villain stripped away, just those two girls who grew up together trying to survive. Catra afterwards still has the final strips of her mask that she claws onto, but she lets them flutter away.
Wrong Hordak and Adora "had it easier" when it came to defecting because they were entrenched in the false values of their system, and just applied those values to their new situation. Whereas Catra and Hordak had to develop new values from the ground up, since the whole time all they were made to care about was whether they were on the good side of the person in charge, because if they werent, they were going to get the Stick.

whether or not mike is aware of his feelings for will, he’s fully conscious and certain of his lack of romantic love for el throughout s4 and these lines prove it:
“sometimes i think it’s just scary to open up like that. to say how you really feel. especially to people you care about the most. because, what if...what if they don’t like the truth?”
“and if i would’ve said that thing, then maybe she’d want me there with her.”
“she’s already beginning to understand she doesn’t need me. i saw it-- i saw it in her eyes, that last time we talked.” (from the official script)
i think the first line is pretty self explanatory but i’m still going to unpack it anyways. will was talking about his own experience, but we were meant to associate it with mike’s situation and read between the lines: that there was also a truth he was scared of admitting in fear of the other person not liking it. it’s a double meaning to show two people hiding their true feelings: will being scared of losing mike if he found out he loves him, while mike is scared he’ll hurt el and lose her the moment he says how he really feels, that he’s not in love with her.
i’m going to talk about how the other two lines correlate with each other and how it would make the pieces fall together perfectly. when mike said “the last time they talked”, he was talking about the fight they had about mike not saying ily to el. it’s curious then, that this is the specific moment he references as the turning point for el to realize she doesn’t need him. in his perspective, she realized she doesn’t need him right after it was proven to her that he couldn’t give her the kind of love she wanted. also, he says that maybe if he had said that “thing” aka telling el he loves her, she could have still wanted him to be by her side, she would still need him if he just reassured her of his romantic love.
now, if he was still having an internal debate and confusion about the true nature of his feelings for el, why would he be convinced of el not needing him anymore and ending things with him? why did he think their impending breakup was inevitable, if all he needed to do was gain the courage to say “i love you” so that he could keep her by his side? because he knew he was never gonna be able to verbally prove his love, he knew he wasn't in love with her. he was basically admitting defeat in that scene and and trying to accept that their relationship was about to be over because of his own feelings.
yes, mike is also dealing with his insecurities about self worth and thinking el sees him as a nobody, but it’s all the more reason why he believes that him not being able to love her romantically is the final nail in the coffin for their relationship. there seemingly isn’t anything else she needs him for but romantic love, he’s already just some random nerd next to her, and he can’t even reciprocate her feelings, the one thing she actively asked of him? his lack of self worth contributed to his gnawing anxiety of not being able to love her romantically. that’s why the storyline would make more sense if he already knows he doesn’t love her. he’s not still “confused” between will and el, he’s aware he isn’t in love with the person he's presently in a relationship with, whether or not he knows that he has feelings for someone else (though i personally believe he already knows he’s in love with will atp)

Farscape rewatch ep 2x09: Out of their Minds
Tumblr media
One of my faves and is a rare just plain hilarious ep which is just pretty wild and joyful, though even it manages to have that little heartbreaking moment with D’Argo and Pilot and it’s very on brand that logical talking solves nothing for Zhaan and she has to resort to violence.
But yeah, it’s a very hard ep to discuss, almost as hard to write about as it is fun to watch because what is there to analyze in a goofy, crazy ep where everyone switches bodies?
Tumblr media
Of course, it says something that for the Moya crew, switching bodies with each other while on a ship about to be blasted to pieces counts as a good day. In a way it’s parallel to S1’s ‘Through the Looking Glass:’ near death and craziness and off-kilter stuff with a happy ending and we know the angst is about to hit, with the Gammak base and torture. (The same happens in S3. After the lovely, hilarious LoMo ep, it’s all angst from there. S4 doesn’t have that as the whole thing is pretty grim).
Lots of caps and long so behind read more...
I think OOTM is a wonderful acting ep: the actors must be having a blast and they are pulling off a really difficult feat, acting like each other, and they do it brilliantly. Ben Browder gets Rygel’s intonations down pat, Claudia Black’s imitation of Crichton’s guy mannerisms and the thumb to the mouth is awesome. And Anthony Simcoe’s body posture is spot-on Chiana.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another thing I love about this ep is that reactions of the characters are so spot on about what they would do in other people’s bodies but most shows would never go there: Rygel in John’s body needing to use the facilities, John in Aeryn’s body ‘trying out the equipment’ (I love that scene) etc etc. And of course, this ep reconfirms that Moyans listen to John more than to anyone else. Zhaan refuses to follow the plan to change them all back, until she thinks it comes from John (in reality Rygel in John’s body). Though Rygel does show unexpected depths when he talks about revenge being his goal. We forget often that he is a former Dominar, but he is. Hmmm, what else. Zhaan once again proves compassionate but ruthless when necessary. The ending is awesome. One of the funniest, most perfect ones. Chiana and D’Argo finally deciding to get it on:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Love D being bashful and Chi teasing and the dawning look of comprehension on John’s eyes as he watches him running after her.
And ohhh, the sheer joy of the bit with John pretending to still be Rygel and then going ‘joke, Aeryn’ and she jumps on him and they wheel around the floor, laughing. So much giddy joy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But yes, as I mentioned I so love that when characters switch bodies, the show brings up the stuff shows normally do not but would totally happen. Like Rygel needing to pee while in Crichton’s body and having no idea how and Crichton (in Aeryn’s body) having to walk him through it. Hilarious but also no other show would go there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And the way the two of them get to play with each other’s bodies in a way neither probably thought they would. First we have Crichton in Aeryn’s body spellbound by boobs - they jiggle. Ahahahahaha. And then feeling them up as Aeryn in Rygel’s body watches irascibly. This show was WILD.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And of course, they are equal in body curiousity as we see in one of the best tags ever. Crichton saying ‘You gotta walk a mile in someone’s shoes’ and Aeryn replying wryly that she knew what he was doing when he was in her shoes (feeling her up) and his grinning ‘give me a break’ and then her sly little comment that it’s OK ‘you were in my shoes, I was in your pants…’ and his laughing and running after her and just…joy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I always wondered what the status of their physical relationship before Look at the Princess was. I do think A Human Reaction was a one-off sex thing, but they do seem very comfortable with each other - I bet they are in the not saying or thinking anything on the conscious level (at least Aeryn is only subconsciously thinking about it; John is clearly way more attuned) but giddy stage and it’s so lovely...

May i ask you why you think Henry is Mike’s rival?
Oh, yeah, of course! This is probably my most off the wall theory and isn't really something I've thought much about so it'd be good to talk about it. Thanks for asking ^o^
first, here is an excerpt from a post I made a while back where i randomly, terrifyingly stumbled into this "theory":
Henry waited until Mike was just about to leave to start enacting his plan. Why didn't he do it earlier? In my extremely humble, extremely ridiculous bordering on crackfic opinion... it's because Henry knew Mike Wheeler would never let Will go back to Hawkins if Mike knew exactly what was going on. So Henry had to wait. He knew El would try to stop him. And he knew that Mike with Will in tow will try to help and go back to Hawkins. And in the one week it'll take them to get there, Henry will be ready to welcome Will back home.
Anyway, haha. To continue, my "theory" is partly due to my understanding that Henry functions as a character to pit against the other characters (in this case, El, Will, and Mike) in order to address their arcs. Like how I think that Eddie died for Dustin's arc and Max fell into a coma for Lucas and El's arc, I think it's also likely that Henry largely exists for the character arcs of El, Will, and Mike.
Henry is El's nemesis, the supernatural antagonist she "created" and must defeat to get her happy ending. Henry is Will's foil, with the parallels and mirrors between them throughout S4. and Henry is Mike's rival, as in, the guy Mike is fighting with over Will. Basically I am operating under the framework that Mike - Will - Henry are in a subtextual love triangle.
Because what we know about Henry so far is that he has not once tried to kill Will. Will even mentions that "he" wants to kill everyone but Will. And add in the fact that in S2, the Mind Flayer / Henry's biggest obstacle to fully possessing Will was Mike. It was Mike who figured out that Will was being possessed, and it was Mike who figured out the idea for the shed, it was Mike's monologue that largely helped Will break out of his possession enough to send a message in code, etc etc. Reading between the lines, S2 was a battle between these two characters for Will. And of course, Mike proved victorious. However, we end S2 with Mike choosing El over Will. This breaks Will's heart. This makes Henry angry.
S3 largely revolves around El vs. Mind Flayer so I am skipping that for now. but I also have a little bit to talk about this in my Henry theory posts. The links can be found on my pinned!
We resume to S4 with the more overt love triangle of Will - Mike - El. And Henry's introduction to the plot. Now, from our understanding of the narrative, El is going to break up with Mike. which would leave him free to pursue Will. But, this is where our subtextual love triangle comes into play. Mike's biggest fear is losing the people he loves and the one he loves the most and fears losing the most is Will. We spend S4 with Mike and Will rebuilding their bestfriendship. We enter S5 with their emotional bonds at their height (Will's romantic heartache aside) from Mike's side, so what would make Mike fear losing Will again? The threat of the UD and Henry. Like, metaphorically, Mike’s fear is going to be losing Will to Henry.
Sorry it's so longwinded but that's basically the gist of it! Oh and also:
Henry has powers and Mike doesn't (special vs. normal, Mike’s insecurity).
(In my theories I posit that) Henry kept Will alive in the UD while Mike just gave up (see: quarry scene) when he lost El.
Henry and Will have a psychic bond, Mike and Will have "I didn't say anything", "You didn't have to"
Alright I think that's all the ridiculousness and thought I can muster for this theory rn lmao I still have a lot to think about it. Again, some relevant links in my pinned ^o^ you probably didn't expect to get this long of an answer so thank you for reading!

For the doodle/rant thing, Cole
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Cole!!! (Sorry this took a while)
God I love Cole so freaking much man! He’s my closely second favourite after Zane. He’s just a good guy, with a side of silly and an edge of trauma. I think his writing is the best in terms of the main characters, (although I think Nya has the most interesting), which is probably bc his backstory is the most realistic and easy to write. But I think Cole is really under-appreciated when it comes to his writing and stuff. But at the same time I’m probably gonna be biased because I just love this character.
Okay to start off, Cole is actually one of the more moral characters, like Zane, he loves by a motto given to him by his departed parent: “to always stand up to those who are cruel and unjust”. In the show, he proves that he cares so much for others, such as with Karlof in Chen’s noodle factory where he decided he was going to get everyone to escape. And trying to befriend Yang’s students and Yang himself. And befriending Krag. And the entirety of MotM. Cole is also one of the strongest ninja, physically, he was introduced climbing a mountain and he introduced himself to Kai as being fearless (mostly). In the first episode of s1, Cole nearly one the skill contest between the ninja, having beat Zane ( I think?), and nearly beating Kai before Kai set everything on fire. Jay acknowledges Cole would’ve and should’ve won their duel in the tournament in s4, had he not have let Jay win.
But in contrast to Cole generally being and kind, strong guy, he seems to have a lower esteem than what you’d expect. His reaction to grief and difficulty is to run and hide himself away from the world, as seen in s4 when he became a lumberjack after Zane died and when we know Cole became a mountain climber after running away from home and his grief over his mother. His most prominent arcs involve him losing faith in himself: in s5 he thought being a ghost made him less of a ninja, in DotD he thought he was gonna disappear without anyone remembering him, in s11 Cole blames himself for losing the tea, and s13 is about Cole feeling like he can’t measure up to his mother. I’m literally gonna start crying. Cole is an unspoken treasure, unable to see his own worth, like a geode with the crystals on the inside.
And we can fault a lot of it to his backstory. Cole’s parents were a successful musician and performer: Lou, and the dearly missed elemental master of earth: Lilly. It’s unknown if Lou knew Lilly was a ninja because he seemed so against ninjas as a whole in s1, (although I think Lilly being a ninja is a retcon that took effect in s4) but either Lilly abandoned the life of a ninja when she started a family, kept it a secret from Lou, or Lou knew but hid it from Cole, who didn’t seem to know about it when he joined the ninja. Either way, both make sense and fit with Cole’s theme of hiding away. Both Lou and Lilly had given Cole expectations to live up to: Lou with his strict expectations of being a performer, and Lilly asking Cole to promise to be a good person. In the one scene we see Cole and Lilly interacting, Cole is scared that he’s disappointed her by getting into a fight, but it turns out she’s proud of him for being who he is and defending children from bullies. With Cole losing Lilly, he carries this harsh standard that he needs to live in a way that makes her proud, and Lou also feels like he needs to raise Cole to be the best he can be, which is why Lou is harsh in training Cole to be a performer, because that’s all Lou knows. The pressure of everything was too much for Cole and he ended up running away from it all, and climbing a mountain. In his own way he’s still trying to climb to the top and prove himself, but at the same time he’s trying to bury his grief and trauma under other things, such as how Lou is burying his grief with performance. Joining the ninja, Cole starts to heal, he has a way of self improvement that is monitored so that it’s safer, and more importantly he has a family, a safety net that can support him. He’s a ninja and he takes pride in it, but this life comes right into conflict with the life he was hiding from, his father’s. In Cole’s true potential, his disconnect from his father held him back, forcing him to first shun who he was in front of his dad, and lead him to nearly committing crimes because he had no faith in himself winning and he didn’t even want to try. But he decides to anyways, and he does actually succeed. And he’s not proving himself to his father but he’s proving himself to himself. His true potential isn’t just about his daddy issues but also his self esteem in general. Whilst his true potential was achieved this episode, Cole’s inclination to run still resurfaces in other arcs. He associates attention with negativity, as seen when he gets unwanted attention from Nya costing his friendship with Jay and pushing him to run into the woods and be a lumberjack. And he always ends up giving up something in order to help someone else, like giving jay the Jade blade, or grabbing the scroll in Yang’s temple, nearly not making it through the rift because of Yang, falling off of the bounty, helping people in s10 etc etc.
Cole imo has really balanced writing that gives him just enough spotlight to answer our questions about him, and when he isn’t the main focus, he usually has a good b-plot where he receives really good character or he gets good comedy bits which are just enjoyable to watch (like rocky danger buff). It’s easier to actually develop Cole bc as I mentioned, his backstory is the least outlandish. He has kinda a high pressure childhood and his mother died. Unlike every other ninja who’s parents have been missing at some point, Cole knows everything about his parents, his expectations of their status don’t change during the show so he has the most time to develop his current mental state (unlike for example Zane, who’s father kept flip flopping his mortality in a way that doesn’t give Zane enough time to showcase his emotions at each stage of that process, at least not to the extent Cole has). Also because Cole usually gets plots that are not usually connected to the main storyline, his plots always focus mainly on his character development. In a way, being a less important character actually gives characters more of a spotlight. Also they never shove Cole into any romance which is a bonus bc Ninjago romances are honestly horrendously set up. I mean… other than that one time.
Which is how I’ll segue into talking about my few criticisms with Cole’s writing. Bc every character can be improved. First of all, as I mentioned, I can’t talk about Cole without the love triangle. I actually don’t hate about it as much as I used to, since the love triangle did end up setting up the cool development we got in s4. And if you read behind the lines you can almost pretend it was in character, I just tell myself that Cole was only taking part in the drama because he was pissed at Jay assuming he was straight. But the canon is that Nya suddenly had a crush on Cole bc a buzzfeed quiz told her to, and Cole suddenly reciprocated bc that’s apparently what you do. Istg none of the romantic feelings make sense or are justified in the show outside of “that woman looks like she’d be a good gf” which is cringe. So like I just squint when it comes to that and say that Cole and Nya are suffering from peer pressure and allonormativity/compulsive heterosexuality.
Another specific nitpick of Cole’s character is the complete fake out death he had in s10. Like writer’s set up stakes that make the death dramatic but then didn’t stick to their rules which just kinda invalidate the stakes of the season in general. Like we see the cloud immediately turn citizens to stone but for some reason Cole can nap through it fine. The writers put no effort in justifying Cole’s survival of not just the Oni cloud but like surviving falling from that height. I mean ig legos are built different, but if they are, then why is everyone so worried yknow? And it could’ve been simple, we could’ve been shown that Cole somehow saved himself with his powers, maybe being an earth elemental means he doesn’t take damage when he hits the earth? Idk. It was just a cheap death and it didn’t have any impact other than make Nya sad for 1.5 seconds and loosely set up survivalshipping. Yeah
Other than that, I don’t think I have any other specific Cole criticisms. His dad could be involved more ig. Idk.
All in all Cole is a top tier character

Diego del Lobo discussion
HEAVY SPOILER ALERT FOR MYSTERIES OF THE PAST
also old man (im not an old man) ramblings
ALRIGHT I FINALLY FINISHED THE SEASON TODAY AND I'M HAVING A LOT OF EMOTIONS.
Diego is such a fucking well-written character (this season was really well done honestly albeit I did get super pissed off several times but also the tension it gave was really great!).
Diego was such a nice foil character in the story. His growth, downfalls, and everything was so well-placed to the point that's its really heartbreaking.
First, we are introduced to him as a suspect (great start!) in the Alastor arc. He's a smart and suspicious person, committing plagiarism, making fake copies of paintings—all that good stuff.
(Note that I played S4 before S3 and I actually dropped S3 because the cast in that series felt like a dysfunctional family and it was just unpleasantly annoying)
We get help from him from time to time in the World Exhibit arc, even when he whines about it. Even with his suave persona, we see that he is also quite the nerd and got attached to especially Evie and Charles! In the end, he joins the squad, where he considers himself feeling like he had a family within.
Diego was such an antithesis to Justin Lawson, someone who we didn't trust in the start, with intentions not completely pure, until he falls into one of the most critical roles at the last arc.
Quick JL analysis (I'm glad he's dead)
Lawson lost himself in his pursuit of "justice", becoming deaf to the cries who were supposed to be helped by it. It's not like he was completely evil at the start! He didn't want to sentence a teenager who had killed his best friend out of panic from the gang wars! In the end, when he had the power to change, Lawson became the very villain, the corrupt official that the Flying Squad were initally tasked to get rid of in the first arc! (A really fun foreshadowing!)
Meanwhile for Diego, things became more difficult for him. His loyalty was really intense and at times, I felt like the extremeness of his actions was a way to prove himself to the Squad that he really changed. Like, he was even upset when he became a suspect in another case to the point of drinking. He continuously put his own life on the line in order to help us. Aiding Isaac and Charles with their love troubles, supporting Evie's with hers. Being concerned with Arthur being scammed. Heck, he considers Evie a little sister and the way they treated each other like family was so sweet. He was doing so much. That itself, showed how much he loved the Flying Squad.
(I like to think that Evie never hated him for killing Charles, only that she was heartbroken over it, but she knew Diego well enough that she would know how it must've destroyed him in the inside. Tis why I think she still visits him until he finished his sentence.)
I love how his past criminal life played in the story. He never changed his ways, only doing it for the good of people this time. His connections and wittiness saved our asses a lot. However, it wasn't completely pardoned as it was what eventually forced him to leave the Squad, his family.
ALSO HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH CHARLES (in a way, it too, was yuri). We know he has a thing with Maddie and he did express some heartbreak over her dating Charles. BUT he really does love Charles! Charles in opposite of him, he wears his heart on his sleeve that it gets his ass into tricky situations. A bit clumsy and nerdy, very sweet. Honestly, with how open Charles is as a person, I think it's really sweet to how Diego, a person used to wearing masks, got so along with him. He helped Charles from the scam, aided him with his wedding and even told Charles that he was husband material! We do know that some members in the squad were on the fence with Diego, but Charles also really loved him! They trusted each other in a very risky mission, where they even kept it a secret from Maddie.
I think that's what makes Diego being forced to kill Charles so heartbreaking. When he said Charles was husband material? Charles gave up his life in order to protect his wife and child. Diego not only lost the Flying Squad—his family, but also tore another family apart in the process. And as heartbreaking that was, their sacrifices weren't in vain. It paved the way of the Flying Squad rescuing Concordia.
I like to think that in the meantime while he was in prison, he was helping other prisoners change their ways—in the way that the Flying Squad changed him too. I want to believe that he reconnects with the Flying Squad again so bad. But it's not like prison was full of cold criminals in this series, we've had those with accidental murders. I want to believe Diego found another family with them as well.
(and also maybe meddle with some intense mommy issues that will happen in the prison (intense Guilietta and Fransisca staring)

do you think that with how much time has passed in the show, and beth being a lot older now, like in her 30s or very late 20s that the audience who denied bethyl when still aired will be more open to their relationship as she will be well into adulthood now. just a thought i had as most of the people who deny they were romantic use the argument that she was ‘too young’
Yes and no.
So, I remember there being really two kinds of people who were against Beth and Daryl romantically.
The first were people with genuine and understandable concerns. Back when S4 was airing, I worked with a woman who had a daughter who was eighteen. She watched the show and told me she loved Daryl, but she didn't like the idea of him and Beth because she had a daughter that age and would be very uncomfortable if her daughter started dating a 30-year-old.
Tumblr media
My arguments there are
1) while I understand the worry there in our current society, we're dealing with the apocalypse in TWD, which is a whole different monster. What if there really AREN'T any other men around. As long as he's genuine and the relationship is healthy (i.e. he's not a creeper) I don't see the problem. And
2) this worry speaks to my friend's daughter's maturity. I would argue she was worried about her daughter because her daughter just didn't have the emotional maturity to date someone that much older than her. That's also a valid concern in general, but not one that applies to Beth and Daryl.
So, there was this kind of person who had valid reasons for not liking Bethyl as a romance, even if I didn't agree with their arguments. I think this type of person will come around, as you said, because Beth is so much older now and even Daryl has grown a great deal in maturity and experience. So for this type of person, the answer to your question is yes.
Unfortunately, the other type of person who opposed the ship are those who either shipped Daryl with someone else--anyone else--or who just hated Beth as a character. All characters have their diehard fans and their illogical haters. Beth is no different. These fans claimed ridiculous things like pedophilia because it was a convenient reason to hate the ship and they knew better than to admit how petty they were and that the real reason is that they were having temper tantrums because they couldn't have their way and have Daryl be with the person they wanted.
This type of person will never come around. They'll scream to high heaven about how the show has disrespected them and how traumatized they are because their ship never went canon.
So, I guess we just need to be prepared for both. I've always said, and I still believe that 99% of the GA will be on board when Beth returns. Despite the haters being very loud on social media, we've given evidence time and time again that proves that MOST people were fine with Beth, and MOST people just want Daryl to find his happy ending. Most of them don't even care who it's with. So, when Beth returns, people will remember S4, finally realize how long this has been in the works, and jump right aboard the ship.
But in the background, we'll still have to deal with the screamers. Unfortunately. But who cares? It won't bother me because Daryl will finally be with his soulmate.

No I don't get Stonathan at all, especially after season two. Same with St/ncy after s2, Jonathan slept with Nancy knowing she was with Steve. He betrayed him as well, idc if they didn't like each other you don't sleep with someone who is taken. Plus he still thinks of Steve very low, aka the s4 comment. It indicates to me that both him and Nancy would make fun of Steve, given he said it so unprompted, like the conversation wasn't even about Steve and yet he had to make fun of his intelligence or capability. He seemed also genuinely shocked Nancy defending Steve, like it's ooc for her to do which just further confirms my suspicion that they both bitched about Steve negatively. They should be glad Steve was being so supportive about Jancy, also they should be a little ashamed of hiding the truth from him about how the relationship started. Steve saved his ass twice, Jonathan has seen him change and yet. I just want Steve find someone who loves him for him. No proving to his partner he has changed or having to constantly beg for forgiveness. Plus if he finds out Jonathan slept with Nancy's at Murray's place, he will be super upset, hopefully he will find out because he deserves the closure.
Also even in s1, Jonathan violated Steve's privacy, he was being a creepy stalker and he hasn't apologized to Steve at all.
It's also concerning the amount of people who ship Stonathan because the alley fight looked so homoerotic. Why start a ship based on violence? Same with H//rringrove (🤢) you see B//lly almost killing Steve and still think yeah that's hot and romantic? Or Eddie holding a broken bottle to Steve's neck, being used as this ultra hot scene. Not when Steve was literally tortured 8months prior. Almost every popular Steve ship has always this element of violence, where Steve gets the short end of the stick by being overpowered.
I ship Steve with him getting the hell out of Hawkins with Robin, starting somewhere knew where people see the good in him and he doesn't have to prove himself to them constantly. He deserves better than what's given in the show.
LITERALLY ALL OF THIS!! like you said especially after season 2 like jonathan willingly knew that steve and nancy were together or knew that they were going through a rough patch and still decided that he was going to pursue nancy. they just discussed steve and the whole stancy thing with murray and jonathan is the one to bring him up! ngl that’s comment in season 4 still bothers me like we did not need that comment at all - it’s just setting up another character to be like ‘ohh steve’s actually a good guy’ as if the audience needs to be constantly reminded that steve changed! like i don’t give a fuck about how he was in season 1 at this point - i care how steve is now. and i’m genuinely concerned that the comment is just going to lead into an awful plot line with them because genuinely they do not need to be friends at this point. they have not talked since season 2 and things were already awkward between them - i just think it’s fandom’s thing where they want everyone to be close friends with the monster hunters in st but they do not need to always be besties or even friends! like the dynamics get so boring if you just want everyone to get along - where the spice?
honestly it so indicates that to me too especially cuz you brought up about him being surprised about nancy’s comment. like why would he be surprised unless they’ve talked about steve before in a negative way and now nancy is giving him one compliment (which really isn’t even a compliment at all - genuinely annoyed that fandom and canon always sees steve growing up as a good thing when no it’s legit now because it’s traumatized. like maybe in season 1 it was good growth but now it genuinely seems to me like it’s coming from a place of trauma with steve that he’s growing up) sorry that for ranty lol. legit they both should be glad that steve is supportive bht honestly canon shows that they don’t give a fuck about steve which is why i also don’t see the stonathan angle at all - anyway yeah like that convo was never about steve so like whyd he get brought up? god i want steve to find out so badly about what happened at murray’s place because i just want steve to be angry again like he doesn’t deserve this and instead i just want the narrative to let him show his anger again but i just know the duffers will not do this so rip.
so annoyed that jonathan doesn’t apologize to steve either! oh god yeah - it’s also so ironic to me how people who saw the alleyway ship them because they will also acknowledge how steve was awful to jonathan in that scene and that steve deserved the punch. like girl if that’s how you see the scene then why the actual hell do you ship it? honestly steve’s ships in canon are just violence against steve and i think that you can tell who just doesn’t give a flying fuck about steve with his ships. especially cuz they want his ‘ i awakenjng’ to be rooted in violence against steve like please stop! and the thing that bugs me even more is that they see it in a happy way too. it’s sooo ironic and funny how steve antis are always like ‘well you treat him like he’s a child and a wet blanket’ to steve fans when they’re the ones who are also falling into doing this like girl you actively want him to be a wet blanket in a violent ship/ship that has roots with violence.
LITERALLY EVERYTHING YOU SAID IN THAT LAST PARAGRAPH! him and robin need to get the fuck out of hawkins and buy a nice house for themselves. steve legit deserves so much better than what’s been in canon.

OUAT Thoughts Pt.43--Episodes The Last Two of Season 4
According to Wikipedia, there are only 22 episodes in season 4, but my reviews add up to 23. I have no clue how that happened; I have looked back at my recent posts and have still been unable to figure it out. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Lucky for me, the counter resets when I start season 5 tomorrow. For now, I have watched through all of S4; spoilers DNI. Also, spoiler warning for anyone further behind than I am.
—‘Someone whose eyes you were born to gaze into’…that is possibly one of the most romantic things I have ever heard.
—Nothing like an alternate reality to prove that bandit meet-cutes are the best way to find true love :)
—*confused yelp* Evil Snow White is gorgeous? That spiky hairstyle has Elsa concept art vibes, btw, and it looks so cute on Ginnifer Goodwin. And that Evil Queen clothes? Oh, the red, and the black, and the sparkles! She’s so pretty!
—Mmmkay, so the Author is a bad writer. That entire thing was well-written in context of the show, but in context of him, it was just so not creative. He looks at all of these heroes and villains, and when he decides to flip their happy ending status, he also has to switch their hero and villain roles? Come on!
—I kinda wish he wasn’t A) so bad at writing and B) such an asshat, because when he’s talking about writing and stories and characters, most of the time he speaks to my heart. The big problem is that he doesn’t see characters for what they really are: living entities who are the author’s to record and to guide, but not to control. And yes, this is way too deep into my personal writing philosophy, but why not? The gist is, he had some good points, and the way he sees people as their stories is chillingly close to how I tend to think about people, but overall as a person and as a writer he sucks. There was a reason all his manuscripts got rejected.
—The Sorcerer is Merlin?!!! COME ON! I’ve been jonesing for some Yen Sid, who BY THE WAY is the Sorcerer, and I get Merlin instead? Good golly!
—I had to watch Regina and Rumple almost die and Captain Hook actually-but-not-really die in the span of two episodes. I need Dr. Hopper.
—I love that when Henry and Hook rescued Emma, she knew she loved Hook, and Hook was just instantly enthralled with her.
—Emma’s prison dress was pretty, but Yen Sid alive did I like her other outfit. She looks good in Enchanted Forest chic.
—So it’s not how I predicted it happening, but Emma has indeed become the Dark One. I adore her for protecting Regina’s happy ending so ferociously.
—They better snatch that knife quick. I don’t think anybody wants to see free range Evil Emma.
—So the next Big Bad is primordial, capital D Darkness? I mean, now that it’s in a human host, it’s not quite as existential and intimidating, but it’s more than passable.
—I really need Rumple to not die now. Without the darkness, Belle might give him a second chance, and he might actually be able to accept love. Also, whether or not he gets back with her, I just don’t want him to die.
—His ideal life was sad. I mean, the concept wasn’t, but in context very much so. If he gets to have a second kid by the end of the show, I will be happy.
—Maybe Merlin is Lilith’s dad. I’m having trouble coming up with dragon men.
—The Apprentice is possibly the least helpful guy alive. His advice is ‘yeah, the Sorcerer is out there.’ Like, bro, you couldn’t give us a general idea of what world he’s in? And he keeps telling people things he shouldn’t.
—Props to Henry for not wanting to have the Author power. I’m thrilled that he got the mantle, by the way.
—Another reference to Walt Disney being an Author. Cool. Although it’s a reference to his death, so…kinda sad.
—Freaked out about halfway through the episode and got worried we would be stuck in the alternate reality forever, but fortunately we weren’t. I’m not sure I could’ve kept watching.
—Rumple in a knight’s outfit is iconic. That buttery golden cape was stunning. And Belle’s dress in that reality was pretty too.
—It’s interesting that his heart is white now. We haven’t seen that yet, so I’m pretty worried about the implications it might have.
—What is he gonna do without magic? He hasn’t not had magic for centuries. I look forward to the angst, but at the same time I don’t. Rumple is never going to be happy.
Happy International Pronouns Day, y’all!

This is going to be a long post, I guess. I've decided to list every Taylor Swift song that's canon with Nace (not in cronological order though)
1.  You Are In Love
"You can hear it in the silence, you can feel it one the way home (...)"
- Silence doesn't mean he isn't thinking about you -
- All the times they were driving around with each other.
"One night he wakes strange look on his face, pauses then says: you're my best friend and you knew what it was he is in love"
- When Ace confessed his feelings and she was concerned about the way he was looking at her then she teared up because she realized he loved her too.
2. Afterglow
"I'm the who burned us down, I don't wanna do this to you, I don't wanna lose this with you"
- How Nancy is devastated to be separated from him because of the curse but it's the only thing she can do.
"It's so excruciating to see you low, just wanna lift you up and not let it go"
- Literally every time one of them was sad the other was right beside them trying to make it better.
"This ultraviolet morning light below tells me this love is worth the fight"
- This makes me think of how happy both of them were to wake up next to each other in the alternative timeline.
Tumblr media
"Tell me that you're still mine, tell me that we'll be just fine"
- The whole season 3 angst.
"Tell me that it's not my fault, tell me that I'm all you want even when I break your heart"
- Nancy hoping they would get a happy ending after everything
3. Haunted
"He will try to take away my pain and he just might make me smile but the whole time I'm wishing it was you instead"
- Nancy and Park getting together only because Ace got sucked into another universe.
"I though I had you figured out, somethings gone terribly wrong you're all I wanted."
- How Nancy hope to spend the night with him at Nick's apartment and then he never showed up, followed by how guilty she felt when she discovered he was stuck in the liminal space.
Tumblr media
"I just know you're not gone, you can't be gone, no."
- She did everything to bring him back.
4. Enchanted
"Across the room, your silhouette starts to make its way to me the playful conversation starts counter all your quirk remarks"
- This is Nancy and Ace back to when they first start to interact idk it just made me think about Nancy saying "like a fungus Ace" in s1.
Tumblr media
"These are the words I held back as I was leaving too soon: I was enchanted to meet you. Please don't be in love with someone else. Please don't have somebody waiting on you"
Tumblr media
5. Love Story
Ace said he had feelings for her for a long time and they went to high school together, right? Also, in the first episodes of season 1 Ace is always in the back casually looking at her so I wondered...
"We were both young when I first saw you, I close my eyes and the flashback stars I'm standing there."
"This love is difficult, but it's real. Don't be afraid, we'll make it out of this mess."
- They will always fight for each other no matter what - at the end of s3 it was Ace but I feel like Nancy will spend everyday thinking about how she can save him from the curse in S4.
6. I Know Places
"They take their shot but we're bulletproof I know places and you know for me it's always you I know places in the dead of the night, your eyes so green I know places and I know for you it's always me."
- I just know that no supernatural killer, 2000 year old witch, or a damn curse would be able to keep them apart. They can try but Nace belong together and they will get back to each other no matter what.
7. Sparks Fly
"The way you move is like a full on rainstorm and I'm a house of cards. You're the kind of reckless that should send me running, but I kinda know that I won't get far."
- Throwback to that scene when Ace says "The next time you're willing to sacrifice yourself just to prove you're not a Hudson: don't. Just because I'm mad at you doesn't mean I wanna lose you."
"And you stood there in front of me just close enough to touch, just close enough to hope you couldn't see what I was thinking of."
- They are always invading each others personal space. Always!
Tumblr media
"I'm on my guard with the rest of the world but with you I know it's no good”
- Nancy is so tough and never shows her feelings but then with Ace....
"I run my fingers through your hair and watch the lights go wild. Just keep on keeping your eyes on me, it's just wrong enough to make it feel right"
- Just that scene of "The spell of the burning bride" on loop.
Tumblr media
"I'm captivated by you, baby, like a firework show"
- This is just about how they are always fascinated by each other's intelligence and never hide it.
8. Message In A Bottle
I don't think I have to explain this one.
"I know that you like me and it's kinda frightening standing here waiting, waiting and I became hypnotized"
Tumblr media
"I'm reaching for you, terrified 'cause you could be the one that I love, I could be the one that you dream of. A message in a bottle is all I can do standing here hoping it gets to you."
9. Peace
"No, I could never give you peace but I'm a fire, and I'll keep your brittle heart warm if your cascade ocean wave blues come. All these people think love is for show but I would die for you in secret."
"Would it be enough if I could never give you peace? Your integrity makes me seem small, you paint dreamscapes on the wall."
- Ace wanting to be a better person for Nancy
- Nancy going back to kill Temperance because of the way he looked at her when she was giving up the entire town for no apparent reason.
"Give you my wild, give you a child. Give you the silence that only comes when two people understand each other."
- They are soulmates and "know each other" so well.
"But there's robbers to the east, clowns to the west. I'd give you my sunshine, give you my best but the rain is always gonna come if you're standing with me"
- How both of them think they are fated to not be together bc something is always on the way.
10. That's When
"You said, 'I know' when I said 'I need some time, need some space to think about all of this'"
- After Ace confessed his love he gave her space to process it and never pushed her.
Tumblr media
"And you watched me go and I know my words were hard to hear and harder to ever take back"
- That scene in 3x13 where Nancy screams with Ace telling him that she does not share the same feelings for him.
11. Out Of The Woods
This one is for 3x13 scenes.
"The night we couldn't quite forget when we decided, we decided to move the furniture so we could dance. Baby, like we stood a chance two paper airplanes flying, flying, flying and I remember thinking Are we out of the woods yet?"
- How incredibly happy they were in the alternative timeline thinking they defeated Temperance and but in reality they didn't stood a chance.
"Remember when you hit the brakes too soon 20 stitches in a hospital room when you started crying baby I did too."
- The accident scene.
"But when the sun came up I was looking at you"
- Just that shot of Nace in bed with the morning light above them.
Tumblr media
12. I Almost Do
"I bet you think I either moved on or hate you 'Cause each time you reach out there's no reply I bet It never ever occurred to you That I can't say "Hello" to you And risk another goodbye"
- This is definitely going to be their song from now on until they get together in season 4 (RENEW NANCY DREW!!!)
"And I just wanna tell you It takes everything in me not to call you And I wish I could run to you And I hope you know that every time I don't I almost do"
- When Nancy almost kissed him before the barometer broke.
"Oh, we made quite a mess, babe It's probably better off this way And I confess, babe In my dreams you're touching my face"
- IN MY DREAMS!!!! YOU'RE TOUCHING MY FACE!!!
13. All Too Well
This is so painful because I think about everything Nancy lived with Ace in the dreamscapes/au and how she needs to deal with it in the real timeline that she is and how Ace never lived it, so she is the only one that remembers it all too well.
There's probably more but these are the ones I thought about after the season finale. Guess I'll have to make a playlist with all of them now.

Michael Kelso x reader
Word Count: 1.8k
Warnings: michaels reputation
Author’s Note: steven supremacy but kelso could be kinda cute too lmao. I hope you like it love!
Requested: by anon, I'm the anon who requested Kelso x reader. I thought of something like, set in the beginning of s6 after Kelso helps Jackie and Hyde get together the reader being the cool girl in school (around Jackie's age) and she's really smart and has a bubbly/nice personality. She starts hanging out with the group (maybe because of Jackie? Idk she could be her friend first) and despite his reputation, she's friendly to him. He really likes her and hanging around her motivates him to review his attitude. She has feelings for him but does NOT want to fall for him because of all the things the group says about him. He's aware of this, and does everything in his power to prove her he's different.
Endings up to you 🥰
You don't even have to use everything in the prompt, I just really like the idea of him trying to be a better person, and I would like to read about the whole 'Michael wants a girl but the group is blocking him out of worry for their friend so he has to show he's a better person'.
And he's also not my favorite but I think he's super sweet in s3 and s4 and with the right amount of character development could be a thoughtful boyfriend
Thank you so much love ❤❤
Summary: the request
Genre: fluff
I don’t own these characters. They belong to author/director
(not my gif)
Tumblr media
Jackie ran up to you before school even ended. She had just gotten this new outfit she was wearing (at lunch because who actually went to school anyway) and wanted to show you. You walked out of your class holding your books tight to your chest, surprised to see a small girl rushing toward you.
“Look at these boots!” she said and squealed a bit. She showed them off to you and you nodded, giving her a flashy smile.
“They look great Jackie!” you said because they really did. You were pretty sure Jackie could pull off anything she wanted to. You started walking to her car together and she flashed the keys, as she often did. They dangled from her fingers.
“I’m going to Formans, you wanna come?” she asked.
“And hang out with your whole group? I don’t know if that’s a great idea Jackie, you all seem pretty close,” you told her honestly. You had seen everyone around school and they seemed nice enough but they were always together. Through Jackie you had found out that they pretty much exclusively dated each other too. You just never thought you would fit in with them.
“They’ll love you! They’ll love you regardless because I love you and I have good taste,” she said, starting her car. You pursed your lips and thought about it for a second. You didn’t wanna be stuck there. You supposed your house wasn’t that far away from Eric’s, you could probably walk if you really needed to. Plus maybe they will like you.
“Okay I guess.”
“Wonderful! Some things you should know,” she started, in her gossipy voice, “don’t mind what Fez says Donna and me just ignore it. If Michael tries to flirt with you, ignore him.”
“I have Michael in my english class, he seems nice,” you said. You knew his reputation and what he had done to Jackie but she was mostly over it.
“Don’t even think about it. I’m not going to let him have his grabby hands all over you. I escaped that and now I’m with Steven thank God,” she muttered. You nodded.
“I’ll keep it in mind.”
=====
When you arrived, Jackie introduced you to everyone there. Overall everyone seemed to like you or they were indifferent to your presence.
Donna told you the second you arrived that if Kelso tried to flirt with you you should ignore him. He wasn’t there the day you went because he had been in detention but you ran into him the next day at school. He sat next to you in english class.
“You’re Y/N right?” he said. You raised an eyebrow. You had assigned seating and you knew he wasn’t assigned to sit next to you. Class hadn’t started yet though so you supposed he had time.
“Yeah,” you said carefully. A dumb smile went over his face and he moved his hair to the side.
“I’m Michael Kelso. I heard you met my friends,” he said.
“Yeah I did,” you said. “They were really nice.” He nodded, that smile still there on his face. You gazed at him for a second, into his eyes. They looked almost completely blank. They reminded you of puppy eyes.
“Yeah they are nice aren’t they.” He looked up at the teacher who was about to get the class started.
“No offense Michael but they all told me I shouldn’t talk to you,” you said, adding a little laugh to try and ease up your words. He nodded.
“I figured. Don’t listen to them though.”
“I want us to be friends.” You put your hand up and he shook it, very happily. “But just know I’ve been warned.” He nodded aggressively .
“Noted!” The teacher pointed at Michael.
“Kelso! Back to your seat.”
=====
“I don’t know why you told her not to talk to me,” Michael said as he sat on the couch arm. He crossed his arms. Donna and Eric were sitting on the couch beside him, Fez on the chair to his left and Hyde and Jackie on the chair to his right. You were sitting on the other couch arm.
“We didn’t say that,” Donna corrected.
“All we said was that if you tried to flirt with her, we would collectively put an end to it,” Eric finished.
“Yeah Kelso man, you can’t flirt with everyone who walks through those doors,” Hyde concurred. Fez smiled.
“Not like me,” Fez said.
“Yeah well that’s just part of your personality,” Donna said, laughing a little bit. Michael opened his mouth in amazement.
“It’s part of my personality too!” he yelled.
“Just face it Michael. You’ve messed with too many,” Jackie said, head held high. You laughed a little bit. Michael turned to you.
“I will get you to like me. Even if I have to be good to do it.” You shrugged.
“Michael-” you started but he cut you off.
“No. I will.” He said. You shook your head a bit and leaned back. Donna looked up at you.
“Don’t worry about it,” she said honestly and you believed her. You had to admit, you had a lot of fun with these people. Guess that was why they were so close all the time.
===
Michael kept his promise that he would get you to like him. He spent the whole week doing small things for you here and there, trying to make sure that you noticed him. Sure, after he gave you the flowers and you thanked him he bragged about how good of a guy he was, but he was really trying.
Michael barged into Eric's basement and almost fell over doing it. He was pleased to see that only Eric was home, watching TV and flipping through a magazine. He looked up at Michael, uninterested and then back at his magazine.
“I think I’m in love,” he whispered. Eric scoffed.
“Didn’t you say that about Jackie?” he asked.
“Maybe.” There was a pause where Michael tried to retain the information but he came up empty. “I don’t know. But I mean it this time.” He sat down aggressively on the chair to the left of Eric. Eric finally closed his magazine and looked up.
“You barely know her.”
“I know her plenty!” he exclaimed. “We have english together and she’s so smart. She’s so nice to me!” He said that last part with a whisper scream. “And she hasn’t given in yet. She’s got stubbornness.”
“Got stubbornness?”
“You know what I mean!” Michael shook his head and Eric saw his expression grow serious which was very very rare in the case of Michael Kelso. “I feel excited when I see her and when she smiles at me it makes my stomach feel…” He put his hands up and waved them aggressively in demonstration. Eric leaned back in his chair.
“Well dang. Never thought I’d see the day.”
“Me neither!” “Do you think she likes you?”
“Not now that you’ve all told her I suck!” Michael shook his head, defeated. “So stupid.” Eric laughed a bit.
“You can’t blame us. If you want her, go and get her.”

Michael held a bouquet of flowers in his hand. He had used the last of his money for the week buying them and still wasn’t all that sure if you would like them. He didn’t expect the nerves that came with trying to ask you out. Usually if someone rejected him (which was rare, he liked to point out) he could move on quickly. He didn’t want you to reject him.
He walked into english class and you were already there, sitting at your desk, flipping through the assigned book. He took a deep breath and took the strides over to sit beside you. You looked up at him and gave him a small polite smile.
He took one more breath and then brought the bouquet out from behind his back. Your eyes went wide at the size of it.
“Would you pretty please go on a date with me?” he asked. You took the flowers from him and for a moment was stunned that he had actually asked. The flowers were truly beautiful.
You met his eyes.
“Yes Kelso I will go on a date with you.” He fist bumped the air aggressively and you laughed a bit, trying to ignore that he was making a big scene. He turned to you with a big smile.
“You won’t regret it.”
“You better not make me.”
“Kelso!” The teacher called, pointing his pen at Michael. “Get back to your seat!” they hissed. You laughed a little bit as he shook his head.
“I’m very comfortable right here,” he pointed out.
“Kelso.”
“Alright alright.” He turned to you as he got up. “I’ll see you at Forman’s basement tonight. You nodded.
“Yeah.”
“They’re never gonna believe it.”
“Jackies gonna scream,” you said. He shrugged.
“Let her scream. I think I won this one.”

My Theories on Simeon’s Backstory
ok so wild ride here. I’ve been thinking about this ever since I completed s3 and now with s4 starting, it has me thinking about it more. This is just my take on what is going to happen and why it’s happening
Shoutout to @solomons-cooking and @sourluci for hearing my long rambles about this :’)
Heavy Spoilers!
To start off with, we have to go back to the Celestial War. We already know that he was close to the brothers, especially Lucifer (shown by the ‘Brothers No More’ chat). When they started the war, Simeon probably didn’t want to drop his ideals that he’s believed in for a long time, but he also didn’t want to hurt the  brothers. So he took a neutral stance. As a Seraphim, he probably was supposed to fight but didn’t. I believe that’s why he’s only an Archangel now.
After the war, he missed the brothers. In your conversation in S3 on the train after the fairy ring incident where you were transported to the Celestial Realm, he reveals that he misses the brothers and seeing them in their angel form. He talked about the happy memories he had with them seeing them the way they were, “but afterwards, I remembered that they’re not there anymore, and that the Celestial Realm is different now...And I guess that makes me sort of depressed.” It was one of the first times we’ve seen him vulnerable in the game.
When the exchange program was first proposed, I believe he wanted to go and volunteered himself. He was mentoring Luke and that’s why he had to go (much of his disapproval) Simeon wanted to prove to Luke that not all demons are bad because he knows the brothers are not bad. He doesn’t get the welcoming he wants, but he still wanted to be with them both in S1 and S2.
But soon came the issue of MC. He didn’t show any interest romantically towards them. Idk if this is bc the devs didn’t think about it or it was Simeon distancing himself because he already knows that he’s on the border of being punished. Falling in love with a human is frowned upon (ex. Lilith’s situation). I saw someone’s post talking about how when MC was on the verge of damaging all three realms and possibly dying, he knew exactly where the ring of light was. And that calmed MC’s powers down, but he changed the course of a human’s life Just like Lilith when she gave her lover the fruit from the Celestial Realm.
Normally this is a punishable offense, but Simeon could claim he did it to save the Celestial Realm. The higher-ups (aka Father) probably would let it slide. But Raphael probably didn’t want to let it slide. Raphael has always been portrayed as a stickler to the rules. Knowing that Simeon could possibly be in trouble, he hid away to his cafe in S3, not telling anyone about it. Once again hiding away from his responsibilities and acting selfishly. Not angel like at all.
When the Devildom was collapsing, in the Hard Lessons Solomon tells Diavolo that they should tell Simeon because the situation could affect the Celestial Realm. That the Celestial Realm NEEDED to know about it to prepare for it themselves until Solomon and Die could find a concrete solution.
Dia says, “I’m not fond of [Simeon]. I find him difficult to deal with. He’s too good at hiding his true intentions.”
Before Dia said this to Solomon, Simeon tries to get the truth from Dia about his withdrawal from the Bloody Moon Contest. And that the reason Dia withdrew to “win points with Lucifer” was the secret Dia and Solomon was keeping from everyone. Dia goes into more detail about how he finds Simeon difficult because “You angels never divulge anything about yourselves” and “You hide your true intentions better than any angel I’ve ever met.”
This possibly means that he senses a possible disloyalty to the Celestial Realm from Simeon. Especially since he seems to be acting on selfish motives. Even if Simeon said that because it affected the Celestial Realm, they should have a right to know
A few possibilities to explain this:
1. it’s possible the devs didn’t think about his backstory this much
2. they had him lie about his intentions to figuring out why he wanted to know.
3. possibly he was still telling himself he needed to act in the favor of the Celestial Realm. Especially since the message is “from Michael” and he didn’t completely turn until he actually found out what the fate of Devildom and MC were going to be.
Regardless, to the present. Simeon became very triggered when he saw the bogeyman take Lucifer’s form. It probably had him thinking about the fall the brother’s faced. Since Simeon had been acting on his own motives, he possibly could be facing the same fate.
Now to Raphael, he’s said to be a hitman. At the end of S3, he meets Simeon in his coffee shop to which Simeon was shocked by. He realized he had been found out (if hiding from the Celestial Realm was indeed his intentions for opening up the cafe in the human world and didn’t have any plan of returning). The Father of the Celestial Realm probably doesn’t want to kill Simeon, but Raphael wants to let Simeon know that he’s waiting for a pulled trigger. The reason he came to the cafe was to threaten Simeon. I don’t know entirely what Raphael’s business in the Devildom is, but I’m sure that we’ll find out if all of this is revealed.
I wouldn’t be surprised if we see Simeon fall this season. Either that or we would have to see a very different side to Raphael. That he learns that the rules could be bent. I’m more keen on the former. Knowing that Simeon’s back is against the wall and he wants to avoid death, it’s good for story writing (in my mind at least). I think it’d be a refreshing way the story could go. And that brings us to the end of Lesson 61 for now.
jaodgijwpoigjepwoiejgw this was really long winded and I hope I made all of this clear :’). I’ve been thinking on this for a while and I have Simeon brain rot. If I am right, I’m gonna be more attached to him because that’s the most fleshed out backstory so far in the game. All the other characters, we only get crumbs of their past.
I’m excited to see what the writers have in store, and I hope that I’m at least half way correct.

so i have been rewatching series 1 and 2 of doctor who and i have some thoughts about rose; rose is highkey bad vibes. like girl eye - okay so - you cried over thinking that micky was dead only to say "thanks for nothing" before leaving with the doctor, got jealous at that sickening tree lady, then forgot about mickey AGAIN when you got home and said to his FACE that the doctor is much more important than a boyfriend (yikes).
THEN! THEN! freakin' fathers day! i gave her a lot of sympathy in that episode because duh, it's tragic. but i completely forgot she said to the doctor when he told her off that she knew how "sad he was" (wtf!!! to anyone not used to british slang she basically called him a loser) and later when he told her to apologise her apology didn't feel very sincere, she literally put her head down like a kid and said "sorry" like a primary school kid. bless. and of course in boom town, she made that horrid comment about micky maybe dating a bigger girl. the nicest thing she did was not look for him when he decided to do what she did to him in the first episode. remember this moment because this is important...
we go further in and get to lynda with a y, and she was immedately jealous of her which i kind of get but it was a little catty especially when we had established that they were in a very dire situation. rip to poor lynda, and of course that very important scene which convinces jackie to help her get back to the doctor. i remember billie on the commentary saying that rose can be very harsh and i definitely agree, im talking of course rose telling jackie she met her father. she wasn't exactly tactful. and even in the parting of ways; of course rose loved him but rose was reckless - anyone who has seen torchwood and seen a smidge of the suffering jack had due to not being able to die...
fast forward to the christmas invasion - now again, i think rose is pretty valid in her grief and confusion but i found it telling that rose still thought she could have it both ways when she agreed to keep travelling. and tooth and claw. like SIS. one of the most annoying things i think the fans and the show did was make doomsday feel 'so unfair' when the truth was...it wasn't some cosmic the universe is so unfair moment. it was their own fault. it was their own doing. torchwood was created because rose and the doctor were acting like asses in tooth and claw. people are dying around you and you're laughing?! i was very surprised at this as rose used to be the one to tell the doctor to reign it in and inject some compassion before. oh how the turn tables.
anywho, we get to school reunion and dissing sarah jane has to be blasphemy right? lol. also when she started sulking about micky joining, i think that was the only time in the show where i genuinely disliked her. i know im making this post, but i dont dislike her, but in that moment i did. i just thought there was something completely unforgivable in rose hearing micky saying he wanted a chance to prove himself and not feel unwanted and for her response to be like a sullen child. it was very nasty and i didn't like it. moffat said he wasn't actually aware of this and said he would have written that into the girl in the fireplace if he knew.
but it also highlighted why im not too much of a fan of the 10 and rose ship, as whereas in s1, it seems very much that rose loved the doctor in all of his infinite alieness, but by series 2, she clearly wants something he cannot give her, and seemed to struggle more with his alieness when she appeared to accept it in the first season. and by giving the domestic life to her s4 as per the comics really didn't sit well with me. he is not human, so it felt like her love had become...i dunno? materialistic? artificial? she broke his heart to get that life. it was very selfish and again, it really shocked me. not too mention it was like a strange fanfiction. i have seen takes that it was very feminist to essentially make 10 created for her, but i dont think so, even if it is something we haven't necessarily seen before.
anyway, back to series 2, i give rose grace in the girl in the fireplace because steven wtf, and i dont like how he made classist comments about her. in the cybermen two parter i was rolling my eyes when she was even jealous of a character we never even see when the doctor quipped about finding info from another worker. like reign it in girl. i also think it's important to note that these episodes aren't kind to rose, and i think sometimes the show tries to make her have repercussions for her actions, but sometimes doesn't, like having pete reject her and jackie dig into her all over again. but here. this point right here:
remember when i said the nicest thing rose ever did for micky was not chase after him at the end of boom town? when martha leaves in s3, the doctor does something similar. he does not beg her to stay because he knows it would be cruel. but in the age of steel? rose suddenly tries to make him stay and even tries to make him feel guilty. rose never even had the courtsey to break up with him. "what about me, what if i need you." like baby are you serious?! you can't have it all? it is so selfish, and it's moments here i think billie was talking about when she said in her book that rose becomes more selfish in series 2. it was very telling of her.
and in the next couple of episodes, particularly fear her and the idiots lantern, there are some things that just dont sit well with me. like rose trying to get that boy with the abusive father to try and repair his relationship just because he was his father - it's not that simple and i was surprised that she had such a childish perspective. i know rose is young but she is not THAT young?? like dont try and make the poor boy feel bad. and fear her - this bit also links with what i said previously about rose wanting something the doctor can't really give her. in the impossible planet, the forums lit up when the doctor and rose spoke of a domestic life but i didnt think it was sweet. because rose would have known deep down inside he doctor wouldn't have been happy if that were something they got. it would be like putting him in a cage, and in fear her, rose even surprised the doctor by being so cold about chloe and the aliens pleas, which led to him revealing he was a father and rose could barely handle it. which. okay. sistren. how are you still shocked the doctor had a life before you? companions? the doctor hasn't exactly hid this but it's not like you ever asked him apart from the end of the world. in fact, it's martha who actually asked him about his life and gallifrey. gallifrey wasn't even mentioned by name until the runaway bride. are you telling me in all that time rose never asked the doctor what his planet was called?! it just doesn't feel right to me.
and poor jackie. it's inevitable that kids have to leave the nest, but i think the reason why jackie was so torn was that rose was still trying to have it both ways. travel with the doctor and also live with her mother - which could never work.
in doomsday, when micky returns, you can even see her trying to get her attention and micky doesn't even look at her and she seems sad that he's officially over her. and on bad wolf bay she says she doesn't care if the universe collapses which kind of sweet but simultaneously alarming and also the exact reason they've been seperated. i dont know why rose got called the defender of the earth because she almost let the shit burn twice haha!
even turn left, i didnt like how donna became a pawn, it felt like rose was sacrificing her which i doubt was the episodes intention but that's what it felt like. i also didnt understand how rose knew nothing of martha but knew all of the adventures donna would have wuth the doctor? if anyones knows the answer to this pls. also the "who's she" remark to martha made wanna bang my head against a wall. not to mention the "she's good" line towards martha later. i know russell wrote to be like see! no beef! but it felt like rose needed to be the one to give martha the seal of approval and i promise you she didn't need it. and of course, bad wolf bay. probably the most selfish thing she did. and i've seen a lot of rose fans hate this too. i dont even think billie was a big fan either. like i said, she broke his heart which didn't seem to make sense considering her declaration of love 2 seasons prior. for her to go so quickly to the fake changed that completely in my opinion.
