on the topic of medic infodumping, i think if he discovers something neat (like. i dunno he's figured out how to genetically alter dna so that the person is now bioluminescent) he just instant tumbles out of his lab and pulls aside the closest approximation of a person for at minimum of three hours to infodump about it (complete with a full demonstration!!)
hes interrupting their movie

Whoever designed the TOTK Gibdos deserves both a promotion and a one-way ticket to hell, for simultaneously being the smartest designer alive and also making me want to throw up.
AS IF THEY COULDN’T GET CREEPIER. NINTENDO WHY.
I like to think the frilly things on their necks are gills but for sand? No idea how that’d work, maybe they inhale it through the mouth, then run it though some organ that extracts oxygen from the sand’s minerals before pushing the depleted leftovers out the gills?
It’d probably make it easier for a Gibdo to stay buried for longer, and they also look extremely cool so no complaints haha

There’s zero chance Loki and Hela having so many similarities is just a coincidence. And even though we’re most definitely never getting a full explanation for it, I’m so curious as to what you guys believe the reason is. Do you think:
a.) Loki’s a shapeshifter who can see people’s memories when he touches them. So when Odin picked him up as a baby, he saw Hela in Odin’s mind and shifted himself to resemble her.
b.) Loki and Hela have the same biological mother.
c.) Hela is Loki’s biological mother.
d.) Odin changed Loki to look like Hela when he first held him, because he missed her.
e.) Hela’s biological mother is jotun, and she and Loki both have black hair/pale skin/green aesthetic/etc because that’s just what frost giants look like when they take an asgardian form.
f.) Hela and Loki are both adopted, both children of Laufey. Odin took Hela centuries earlier, then when he realised Laufey’d had another child, he took Loki too.
**I’ve listed these in order from the ones I find most likely to least likely, if you’re curious. Tell me which headcanon you prefer, I wanna see.

For the HTTYD requests I wonder what your take on the Timberjacks would look like :0
Timberjacks! Honestly their original design is pretty believable already. If there's any dragon in the franchise that's capable of flight it's the timberjack. But here's my own spin on it anyways!
If it isn't obvious enough, these guys are heavily pterosaur derived. Specifically nyctosaurus, which inspired the antler-like horns. I decided to split the wings into four to make up for the original design's lack of legs. Timberjacks also have speckled wings, which I always thought were really pretty so of course I went ham with the freckles.
I doubt these guys wing's could actually slice right through trees, but they're pretty cool nonetheless.

while casually off-roading in the mountains, i saw familiar flowers growing along the path. this is a bloodroot, named for the bright red sap that secretes from its roots when damaged.
the reason i noticed it while passing by was because this is coincidentally the flower i chose for my unnamed mc!!! before today, i'd never seen one in person.
fun facts & mc lore below :)
historically, the red sap was used as dye/paint, and the plant was also used medicinally. however, it's important to know the "blood" can be dangerous on skin; it can actually burn and erode flesh, causing dark scarring.
to bring it back to my mc, that's the lore behind her mottled hands & arms. bloodroot flowers were made into a "healing" salve and applied to her cursed hands in hopes to cure her ailment, only to leave her with further blemished skin & a more frightening touch.
of course, i didn't dig up the root! i only picked the flower & surrounding leaves. but the stem still "bled" a bit on the napkin, leaving some tiny, dark orange splotches. it also smelled very strongly of that medicine smell associated with chicory and sassafras (what rootbeer was once made from).
it's a very interesting plant with a very cool history and i recommend reading more about it! :)
