Broken Things is one of my favorite fics ever, so here’s me professing my love for @erithel ’s work once again 😭💕🛐 (Scenes depicted are from Ch4 Weakness and Ch10 Yours)

Summary:

“I am going to kill you.” Lance was seeing red. His fingers wrapped so tightly around the blade in his hand, it felt like an extension of his own body.

“Not today, little lion.”

“If you fucking touch him I will –“

The Galra was suddenly leaning down – his yellow eyes only inches away from Lance’s. His words, a whisper in Lance’s ear: A threat; a promise. “Oh, I am not going to touch him. He is the half-breed son of the woman who murdered my sister. He is the leader of Voltron. No, I am not going to touch him…I am going to break him.”

Or: Two years after season 8, a Blade mission goes wrong, and Keith is perceived to be dead. Lance refuses to believe that, and goes in search of him. What he finds, however, is worse than anything he imagined.

I recently read “Broken things”, an amazing work by @erithel and I just couldn’t stop myself! It’s usually very hard for me to picture things or faces when I read , but with this story everything was crystal clear, it felt as if I was watching a film in my head! That just further proves how amazing this author is! This story has a place among my all time favourites.

This story absolutely shattered my heart, but it was SO worth it. It was written so well, the characters are portrayed perfectly, and the emotions are intense.

When I noticed she was planning on making a comic for one of the scenes in this story, I knew I had to read it first. It was one of the best things I’ve read in a while, so I had to draw something for it.

I encourage you to go check out this beautiful human. Her art is incredible, and her writing is outstanding. Go read Broken Things too, but PLEASE be mindful of the tags, because it’s a DARK story.

Continue being yourself Erithel! You’re amazing, and don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. 🥰

Hello erithel!! I'm very embarrassed to ask this... but I really want to read your fics on AO3 and for some reason I don't understand, it won't let me...

Basically, when I click where theoretically the fic should open, for some reason only the summary appears and not the chapters or the text, and other times reading on AO3 it hasn't happened to me... What I mean is, do you know the reason and if there would be any other way to read your fics elsewhere if it doesn't work for me on AO3 since I really want to read them especially after reading your comics 😅😅😄😄

I don't know if it would be too much to ask if you could put a link or something...

(I feel super embarrassed to ask you this really...)

Huh. First of all don't feel embarrassed. Technical issues happen and you should always feel welcome to ask question if there's confusion.

Secondly I really appreciate your kind words about my work, and the fact that you are interested in reading my fics!

The unfortunate part is that I have never had anyone experience this issue before (or at least none who have let me know), so I am afraid to say I don't have a for sure solution for you. :(

What I can say is that -

#1, I have not restricted my fics, so they should be available for anyone to read.

#2, unfortunately the only other place where the chapters show up are on my patreon and that doesn't include all of the fics just the more recent ones.

#3, as far as I know ao3 doesn't have any kind of control over who can view what. I only recently was made aware that instagram was restricting some of my comic posts from minors, but again I don't think ao3 has anything like that (and I have no idea how old you are lol). That being said, the fic "Broken Things" you used as the example does have one of the major content warnings on it, and I know you can filter out certain ratings/subjects/content, so that might be something to check.

#4, the only kind of solution I can think of is having you try just clearing your cache/cookies. I know I've had to do that to get ao3 to load a few times, and maybe that might help? It is weird that you are able to see some of it but not the whole thing.

I am very, very not tech savvy so there might be a simple solution to this issue. If anyone else knows about this and especially knows how to fix it, please leave a comment!

I am so sorry you're having an issue with this, and I am even more sorry I can't give you a good answer on how to solve it. If nothing works, you might just need to reach out to ao3 support, although I'm not sure how quickly they respond.

Dear Erithel, would it be possible for you to separate the comics published in Tapas by comic? Let me explain, now they are all under Voltron Comics [Fan Comics], it would be nice to have them separated (Pact - Broken Things - Gone...). ♥

I will admit I've definitely thought about it, and it might be something I do eventually.

Unfortunately it would depend on whether or not I still have the original files for the older comics. I'm not sure if they all survived an overwriting issue and a transfer to a new computer.

It would also take me a long time to do, so until I can build up a bit of an actual buffer with the comics I'm currently working on, it's most likely not something that could happen anytime soon.

I definitely feel where you're coming from, though, and it would be nice to have them sorted. If it was something quickly and easily done, I would definitely say yes. But unfortunately for right now they are going to have to remain on the single comic thread. :(

PDF version of the BT comic is still available, and is recommended for anyone outside the US, as shipping costs are pretty high.
