People these days have set a standard for women that they need to have a highly paid stable job in order to be called independent. Calling it empowering women and stuff. But I feel that does not determine your independence. I do want to earn but I don't want government jobs where I get paid a lot if I don't enjoy doing that job. Having enough to sustain myself by doing what I actually love doing, being able to fulfill some of my dreams and being able to keep my parents happy is what I call being independent. I would want a simple life where I do daily chores, do my work and just sit in the garden writing or reading. Not every girl would like to do a 9-5 job and it's perfectly fine. Do what makes you happy. Open small business, bookstore, cafe, libraries, anything you like and let no one tell you what your standard of being independent should be.
