For that one anon struggling to let go of their celeb crush

As hard as it sounds, unfollow them or avoid content of them as much as possible ONLY for a period of time. It doesn’t have to be forever but constantly remind yourself that it won’t happen while you see their content it’s more hurtful than anything

I found myself unfollowing their ig and just overall not consuming media about them and slowly but surely developing a more healthy crush, that’s the only thing I recommend besides therapy if it’s truly serious

I absolutely recommend this. In my case, I also unfollowed, for example, Elliot Grihault on Instagram to avoid feeling anxious (a bit sad too knowing i will probably never meet/be with him) seeing his stories/posts. I have two best friends that always send me content about him where they cut off the girls from his friend group and that know how sensible I am with his content.

The only one I haven’t unfollowed is Jules Bigarnet only because he never posts anything and is rather private about his life, plus it’s not an unhealthy crush like Elliot is lmao.

But yes I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with this recommendation. Limiting his content can be very, very helpful — and this is coming from someone who always had unhealthy, angsty celebrity crushes.

a weird thing I love to look out for when watching edits of my celeb crushes are the scenes the editor chooses to use bcs they paint the celeb very differently to how I perceive them and i’m attracted to x celeb bcs of my perception of them but then I watch an edit of them that shows them in a completely diff light and I’m like oh so other ppl may perceive this celeb in a totally different way than I do and these ppl r attracted to this celeb bcs they perceive them in this way that is so different from mine
