Welcome to Chuunibyou Showdown 2024, a poll bracket for chuunibyou characters across various series. The tourney is geared mostly towards evil eye-type chuunis, but less common chuuni types are okay and encouraged! Below is a description from TV Tropes for those unfamiliar with the term.

In general, chuunis act like overly melodramatic know-nothing know-it-alls who think of themselves as more awesome than everyone else because of experiences, abilities, and even special powers that they clearly don’t have.

Tournament Rules

50-50 ties will go to whichever character had the most votes/is displayed as the winner (Tumblr rounds percentages to the nearest integer)

Propaganda and anti-propaganda is okay and encouraged! Just don't doxx each other or harass someone over their choice.

There will be 32 characters as well as a loser's bracket.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Characters who participated last year are not guaranteed to get in again this year, so please submit them! The only exception is Anghel Higure, last year's victor.

Happy release day (if you bought the expensive version) for Granblue Versus Rising! Grimnir was on my shortlist of characters I wanted in the game (Ayer and Feower are my top picks) because he’s so adorable as a giant Chuuni. Griffin Burns does an amazing job bringing this character to life in English, in a way that is different than Megumi Ogata’s Japanese version, but still 100% authentic to who Grimnir is. Sadly, his gameplay style isn’t great for me, but I’m having so much fun just seeing him interact with the rest of the cast

I don't normally like showing WIPs when I'm working on stuff, but we've been sort of quiet about Mushroom Musume lately so I'll share my (temporary) diversion with you all...!
