Alright, so, let's see..... Headcanons meant to knock L off his pedestal of "eighth wonder of the world", "mister perfect at anything he does".

-Has horrible handwriting (sure, he wrote ok in Japanese, but that's how it is when you learn the symbols from scratch). In regular alphabet....let's say it's better that he types most of the time.

- He cannot drive, not that he needs to, not that he couldn't learn if he needed, but somehow his ability to focus is of such a nature that, while he can handle 1000 ideas coming at him all at once, traffic is another matter. That's why the helicopter was alright, cause there was no traffic up there.

- Plus, he's colorblind. White tee and jeans are safe option, cause they are sure to match, no need to fret over what shirt goes well with anything else.

- He can swim decent enough as to stay alive and not sink like a rock, but that's about it for water prowess.

- He doesn't like to read fiction, but he likes audiobooks or if I read to him.

- In the same line, he likes instrumental music, plays the piano, but he can't sing well, apart from humming a bit.

- Weirdly enough, he doesn't really like maths. Sure, he's good with data, but it's the human element, the psychological focus that interests him. Maths or physics per se are boring. Especially 3D geometry, which was always his weak subject.

wanted to make a dn oc then had the idea to take one of the many female characters in dn and make her my oc

so i stole the girl that light went on that one date with and made her my own. She’s inspired by the fact that i want to see light get played by a girl for once

more stuff ab her ⬇️

she’s so good in the manga… in the anime they cut the scene where she just watches the bus jacking and light is like “well looks like our date is over because of that trauma and all” and she’s like “WYM? we’re still going!” like a crazy person

anyway i have a bit written up for her i think she pretends to be one of light’s friends bc she’s a bit obsessed with him but not romantically at all. obsessed in the way that she wants to be him and like steal his skin and wants what he has. but she’s jealous and kinda hates him too because he’s perfect and has it all/everything’s lined up for him unlike her (maybe she’s got no parents or uninvolved ones). idk. and she feels like no one else can see through light but her— she can see his people suit because she also wears a people suit #bpd #autism. so that makes her want to study him more. and to study him from up close she pretends to be a stupid girl with a crush on him because she knows that to light that makes him a moth to a flame

also she follows light to college so she sees all the Hideki Ryuga shit go down. maybe she starts investigating on her own when light literally disappears and doesn’t come to college anymore

ALSO i don’t know if it’s actually canon but i think she was also the girl that light saved from the motorcycle guys in the beginning. i imagine she was stalking light when that happened and doesn’t realize he saved her until later when the bus jacking happens and she realizes that the dangerous men from both scenarios died in the vicinity of light. so then she’s like Oh he has magic powers too now?! the bastard?! and eventually connects him with kira on her own

does any of this make sense outside of my brain

You’re telling me that of the SIXTY-FOUR cameras that were placed in Light’s room, NONE of them thought to place one RIGHT WHERE HE SITS at his goddamn DESK??? Like HELLO???? ↑ the sound of me sobbing pathetically because I started this December last year and JUST finished it. sobs. sobsobsobs.

I got a little lazy with the background but overall, considering how long ago I started, I think it looks really good! Not super canon but not super not canon...

!! I traced Misa's upper body (head + shoulders) and the book number, author, illustrator etc. block. !!

i love her <3 this was originally going to be the empty/空虚 cover, but the vibes are so different, I don't know why I thought it would work, haha. Naïveté isn't necessarily going to be a RieCanon arc though...

here are the fully rendered ones. It's a simpler style and my first time trying it, I plan to use it to draw Rie some canon panels. "w" face trio

I really wanted to draw out some uniforms for @zimthandmade 's AU where Wammy's House is a boarding school. They're kind of rough sketches, but I feel like at a place that's so heavily funded, there's bound to be some variety in uniform. It was fun!

(Sidenote, I firmly believe that while Mello is more meticulous about how he wears the uniform, Matt cannot be bothered to do more than put on the tie, and even that's a bit of a mess. Sorry Roger, the hoodie and the goggles stay on no matter what)

Also, I drew Zimt's Wammy oc Helix because he's neat, and my Death Note oc Ben because it's my sole duty to shoehorn them into everything.
