Hmmmm. I know I start a lot of posts this way, but... Hmmmmm.
I fully expected us to be hanging out with TT again, and then possibly watch her attempt to not die and fail. Maybe we'd be introduced to someone else (there were something like two more people Gwib talked to, right?) partway through, go back to watch the end of TT's story, and then move forward.
This may not jibe with my earlier theory that TT is Gwib from an alternate universe... but maybe it does? Maybe this is part of the themes, and it's metaphorically about one person trying to succeed at something or break a habit, and with each version of themself we see, they get a little closer? Maybe the meteors represent suicide and it's about avoiding that? Or maybe they more represent the death of childhood (the adult we've seen certainly didn't seem that worried about it, almost like it's a normal part of growing up...) and it's a puberty thing? That would rhyme with all the focus on Gwib's birthday.
But maybe it was just his birthday to make it ironic that it was also his deathday? But also, that peach. He ate the peach and then died! Maybe it is about becoming an adult, sex, etc. It will be exciting to see!
In the meantime, here is a desertscape. There seem to be dilapidated buildings in the background. And this is why I say "Hmmmmm". Because if we are indeed jumping forward and continuing the story after the death of both Gwib and apparently everyone else (TT did see a lot of meteors), then I really, really don't know where this is going.
As is usual, I suppose. Thanks for sticking around! That's directed at you, I guess, Spammy, but it's honestly mostly directed at me. This sure is something to occupy my time. Literally better than Nothing. If you disagree, you probably haven't seen Nothing yet.
