This is our fill for "Gladiator AU". :D

Sold from one owner to the next after his dragon abilities are discovered, Anakin finally ends up with Obi-Wan as his... handler. Except, Obi-Wan isn't a slaver like all the others, and he's also far nicer. And Anakin can do little to free the young Togruta Jedi, Ahsoka, who was recently sold into slavery, no matter how hard he tries. The most he can do is help her survive.

Spoiler: This is an excerpt from Eyes of the Dragon

He reaches outwards for the energy that he can also sense surrounding him, tingling at the edge of his senses constantly, and lets it flood through him. He doesn’t know how to actively use it beyond this, the way he’s heard in legends that the Jedi do, but he doesn’t have to.

He feels the burning warmth of energy way inside of him flare to life, and the changing sensation starts spreading through him, twisting and transforming him. It’s accomplished with the familiar ache as his body is twisted and contorted, but it’s nothing for the kind of injuries he’s actually used to. It’s over in only a few seconds.

He’s somewhere close to twenty feet high now at full height. The golden scales that now cover his entire body would glint brightly in the moonlight, if it hadn’t already set. His tail is long, dragging many feet in the grass behind him.

Obi-Wan approaches, swinging onto his back, wrapping his arms around his neck so he doesn’t fall. He can feel sensations through his scales, even if not quite as acutely as normal touch.

“Don’t fall off this time,” Anakin says, cheerfully, though to any normal human it would just sound like a low snarl.

But Obi-Wan can touch the energy too, even if he’s not trained in it. He’s the only one who can communicate with Anakin in this form. He can feel it, as Obi-Wan nudges against his mind, to interpret what he’s saying. “I did not fall off that time,” he huffs.

“Yes, you did!”

“That time we fell into that nest of Gundarks – ” Obi-Wan starts.

“You fell into that nightmare, and I rescued you, remember?”

“Oh. Yes,” he concedes, grudgingly.

Anakin flaps his wings, running across the grass, wind whipping past his scales until he has enough momentum to take off, soaring into the sky.

No matter how much pain his dragon abilities have brought him, being able to fly like this is never something he could regret. Traveling through the sky with nothing to hold him back. It’s the only thing all his life that’s ever made him feel truly free.

Thinking of touch-starved men…, their eyes follow your hands and fingers so carefully, anxiously, getting easily jealous at how casual your touches are with others who are not them; always lingering where you are, seeking out your presence and just wanting a sliver of your attention away from everyone else; touch-starved ones who have a quiet gasp whenever you place your hands over theirs or just a casual friendly touch; chills along their spine and entire body as you play with their hair; hugs make them freeze in their tracks before arms tentatively wrap around you like your made of glass or a stardust that will vanish the second it’s over

EDIT: they can’t help but swallow down their moan(s) when your fingers brush through their hair, lightly touching the exposed back of their neck

A common practice for skywalkers that most have forgotten about due to the near extinction of their species, is hoarding. Specifically, the hoarding of shiny objects. Skywalkers aren't picky. It could be a diamond or a penny, as long as is sparkles.

The castle soon comes to realize that a lot of jewels, coins, small armor plating, and silverware have gone missing.

Most, rightfully, come to the conclusion that Anakin has stashed the missing object under Obi-Wans bed.

Shmi, Anakin and the Sun - Dragon

Often, however, Watto was unkind, understanding that nothing could stop him from doing what he wanted because Shmi had nothing valuable to trade, besides her son whom she would never trade. Thus, Watto took advantage of this frequently , requiring the boy to podrace, much to Shmi's anger. During one race, she watched in horror as Anakin crashed once again, but was surprised when he had not been thrown from his podracer for once. Watto approached her, yet again dismissing her concerns that Anakin could be seriously hurt before flying off. She made her way down to the racing pit where she reunited with Anakin and saw that his legs had become twisted from the crash. While she knew that Watto would pay to ensure his slave's legs recovered, Shmi held onto her son's hand to comfort herself. Before the rustic, yet effective, medical droids made Anakin unconscious to work on his legs, Anakin promised he would always be with her, yet Shmi privately wish he would one day leave her for a better life.

Despite the horrors in which Anakin grew up, Shmi still tried to give him a normal childhood. She taught him how to fix things and fend for himself, since the Republic was never there for her. She taught him that he deserved more than a slave's life. Most of all, she taught him compassion.

On hard nights, Shmi would tell Anakin the Tatooine myth of the sun-dragon. The sun-dragon was a beast who lived inside the core of a star, guarding everything it treasured. It could survive through the hardest circumstances because it had the biggest heart in the galaxy, able to protect anything and everything it loved. Shmi told this story to her son to remind him that he was the sun-dragon. She never wanted Anakin to doubt in himself and the power of his love for others. Anakin recalled this story many times as an adult when he needed to remember what should guide him. It was something he kept close and told very few other people.
