Creating a map of FPS games (imitating a map of CS:GO Italy)
1)Referencing the environmenntal design.( attention the location which is player starting games.)
2) Designing the multiplayer map scenarios.
3) Keep note and analyse the map.
A. How many choke points does the map have? Where are they?
B. Is the map balanced? Does one team have an advantage on the map?
C. How is the flow and pacing? Are there enough paths and connecting areas for strategy (choice)?
D. How long does it take from spawn to encounter a choke point and start playing?
E. Which team gets to the choke point first (gaining advantage)?
F. How many main paths does the map have for each team from spawn?
G. How many connecting paths does the map have?
H. Does the map support various playing styles? Which areas are sniper alleys and which areas are for close-quarter combat?
Starting the layout
1)Main paths are routes that each team takes to reach a choke point and an objective.
2)Always design main paths, from the point of view of the attacking team first.
3)Focus on the simplicity of the main path design.
4)Focus on a single connecting path between two main paths.
