TF2 OC Infodump... About this silly guy
Tumblr media
Minion's relationships with the mercs
Engineer - Engie is like one of the only people that can understand him (literally not emotionally) because of his thick ass accent. Minion likes to talk to him. Minion yaps to him a LOT, about almost everything.
Medic - Minion WILL find any way possible to be the one to deliver Medics orders personally. He also likes to include extra organs in almost every shipment. Minion makes his feelings towards Medic very obvious, but Medic continues to play dumb to keep getting those extra organs. Minions bird is the cause of at least 3 archimedes going missing.
Spy - Spy has photo evidence of Minion doing weird shit (staring at medics ass or smth idk). Minion is VERY aware of this and gets very nervous when hes doing anything at all because hes afraid that Spy is taking a picture of him.
Soldier -  Soldier is one of Minion's best friends, but Minion is scared that Soldier will grab him. Because he did, once. Minion got accused of not being faithful to America.
Sniper - Minion thinks he's weird because of the jarate thing. Hes scared that Sniper will throw jarate at him. Theyre probably buddies though, because they are both from places that have like weird animals, and they'd probably talk about that.
Scout - Theyre probably buddies because they both are falling for someone who barely likes them back. They encourage eachother. They're also relatively around the same age.
Demoman - Demoman is one of Minion's best friends along with Soldier. They'd also be drinking buddies, maybe not too often but they would. Minion gets really emotional when hes drunk, so he'd probably overshare to Demoman.
Heavy- I think theyre only acquaintances because they both cant quite understand each other (considering they both dont speak fluent english, and their native languages are different) BUT i think if they ever hung out they would cook for each other / bond over food.
Pyro - He probably hangs out a lot with Pyro because of Louise, he draws with Pyro when hanging out with them and Louise.
Bonus: Miss Pauling - I think he respects her a lot as a person and thinks she's cool. He probably tries to convince her just a little bit that scout is cool.
Louise - They are literally the father daughter duo EVER!! minion loves louise as a daughter so much and he cares so much he would take a bullet for her.
Eddy - Even though they might argue or have their differences sometimes, Eddy is always Minion's best friend. Minion truly appreciates Eddy and is grateful that Eddy is in his life.
Smissmass Presents
Spy - Lint, like he WRAPS IT to make it look like an extravagant cool gift but he actualy needle felted to lint to make it into a middle finger
Soldier - a tabo becuz he heard that soldier like bucket
Medic - he would buy him like 8 presents and make him custom advent calendar but its just pics of him and its the same picture each time for 12 days
Demoman - probably a nice bottle of wine or a case of his favorite alcohol
Scout - shitty art supplies because Scouf draws a lot, minion thinks those are the best art supplies in the world
Heavy - He would try to make a sandwich but with hawaiian rolls
Engineer - a book on how to learn tagalog
Pyro - 200 pack of jumbo crayons
Sniper - something very australian related
Bonus: Miss Pauling - A world globe you color in places for everywhere you've been.
Louise - Literally ANY toy besides a puzzle because he knows shes sick of if
Eddy - joke gifts like a mug or t-shirt that says something retarded, but if a real gift he'd buy something that was on eddys wishlist or something
on the bonus ones.. Louise and Eddy are my friend's OCs

My headcanons for the main organization who gives us villains both free dental and health insurance.
Weapon Limitation laws extend not only to henchmen and their bosses but to their vehicles or bases as well. Most arches cannot use heavy duty acid magnets or taser missiles if their target bears only a talking dog and minivan.
Mystical Villains are not exempt from the EMA sorting systems, in fact, they are the first behind mad scientist and superhuman types that get placed with a protagonist.
Health Insurance includes; a rare section of the hospital built up for villains harmed or affected by their protagonists, access to medically trained "Strangers", armed security from vengeful sidekicks, and many more. Much like this, the Dental Plan is the same save for specialized replacement teeth for those of a mutant/alien background.
"Strangers" are given massive overhauls of their cybernetics depending on the assignment and task at hand, cranial mechanics remain untouched. Brainwiping drives are built in for Intelligence operatives to be erased in case of capture.
"Acid-Magnets" are considered a novelty weapon than anything threatening, no matter how much butterfly-men claim its awesome.
Hallowed ground laws were issued after a rather unpleasant incident involving the first Captain Sunshine and his dead mentor being attacked by an Arch.
Antagonist/Protagonist dating is not forbidden in the Guild laws, it can remain untouched if one of the loved ones cuts ties with their organization. Sadly, most do not follow the latter part, leading to many villains go off the grid without proper procedure.
In the case of coups or attempts made on the Sovereigns life, captured villains are stripped of their titles and other benefits before being kept in a private tailored prison.
Sphinx remnants are often left alone, if they continue to hamper the Guilds activities, many arches are given a hefty reward for their capture/murder of any Sphinx renegades.
Bases are given a size limit by the "Laws of Underland", a set of rules based on a bad guys home or country of origin. Villains can have a massive plot of land but cannot exceed anything beyond a small nation, giant space stations or swamp fortresses are "team-only" bases.
Supplying Henchman is granted digitally by Watch and Ward, either in a deserted warehouse, dark waterfront, and abandoned junkyard. Villains have the optional perk of kidnapping and bringing in henchman on their own.
Insulting the great Bowie or Grohl earns a penalty from Guild IT. (Mostly Watch and Ward.)
Due to the previous complications caused by Phantom Limb, most "Strangers" are screened for their loyalties before officially joining the Guild.
Thievery and other criminal acts are often encouraged by intelligence for villains lacking a arch, though its not suggested at some periods.

*Cracks Knuckles*
If I was a writer at DC currently, specifically in the Superman office, I’d make some big event that revolves around more of Clark’s memories being unlocked and use that as an excuse to bring everyone in the Superfamily back together.
It would start with Kon, who remembers the the past Supergirls and how much he misses them. It would then transition to Metropolis being attacked by Xenon, who’s gunning after Kara and nearly kills her. Kon would have a moment where he remembers hearing that name, and Clark reveals that he also recalls it, but can’t think of from where. After doing some digging, and maybe having to fight him again and just barely win, they realize he’s going after not just Kara, but all Supergirls. So this leads to “Supergirl Hunt”
They go to the Flashfam for help, since this is against someone who’s crossing timelines out of an obsessive drive. The first to be found is Cir/Mia, who’s been running from Xenon for a while now. She crashes into the current reality being chased by Xenon’s goons, running low on energy. Kara saves her and brings her to the fortress so she can rest, and the Superfam talk about their next move. Once John Henry and Nat arrive, Nat instantly remembers Cir, and they have a nice tearful reunion. (Side note: this sets the stage for Cir “wanting to get the team back together” leading to the Supergirls Team of Mia, Traci, and Nat reforming).
Meanwhile, as the Super and Flashfam try to remember others, Xenon attacks Metropolis once more, while also having his henchmen cause trouble for the other heroes in the world to keep them from helping out. This time, he’s gunning for Lana and Karen. However, just as Clark and Kon get there, they’re saved.
It would be revealed that Linda and Mae not only made it to Prime Earth after the events of Convergence, but they also fused together following Dark Crisis and Infinite Frontier. Realizing that he’s severely outnumbered and against the one who banished him to begin with, Xenon retreats to his lair. Meanwhile, the Superfam all meet up again. Clark remembers each of them, and Linda-Mae bawls at the sight of Kara, who’s older and alive, and not doomed to die like she believed she’d sent her to be. Anyways, the Superfam go to Xenon’s lair for a final confrontation, where he’s already waiting for them. He reveals he’s got two surprises of his own, being Chris and Laney (Jon Lane from the N52), who he rescued out of time himself, and then brainwashed. They’ve come into the powers of the Nightwing and Flamebird gods respectively, and are his “ace up his sleeve” to finally kill not only Linda, but the entire Superfam.
Blah blah blah. Big ass battle ensues. Chris fights against Jon, Clark, and John Henry while Laney dukes it out with Kon and the Karas. Linda, Kenan, and Lana, meanwhile, go for Xenon, being non-Kryptonians. During the battle, Kon’s abilities begin to falter and it’s revealed that this is the event where he begins to lose them. Laney goes nova with the powers of the Flamebird, and Kon attempts to sacrifice himself. This makes Lane remember the N52 Kon and helps him break Xenon’s control over him, but it’s too late by that point. Kon grabs Lane, and uses his telekinesis make a bubble around them, keeping everyone else out as the solar flare goes off. But surprise surprise, he’s alive for reasons that’ll be revealed later on.
Meanwhile, Chris has managed to take down John Henry, albeit softly, and is turning all of his attention to Clark and Jon. He accuses Clark of trying to replace him, and being so happy now that he’s surrounded by a real blood family (little shot at DC and their eugenics fest). Clark ofc denies it, and Chris tells him to prove it after opening up portals all around Jon to suck him down. Jon tries to pull a Kon and instead rushes Chris, taking them both through a portal that lands them in the Phantom Zone. Clark cries.
In the end, Linda, Kenan, and Lana defeat Xenon and banish him once again, this time using Kenan’s magic to send him to the Underworld.
Sorry this got so long, this is something I’ve been sitting on for a while now and just really wanted to share wkdhzbajwhsve
This is the kind of passion I like to see. You seem to have a clear and unique vision that would definitely add to the richness of DC and I like that you're incorporating elements across the various Earths we've seen. I gotta know what happens to Chris and Jon though?!
I feel a lot of Chris Kent fans and Superfans would have complaint about this but if it ends on good note...
I appreciate the jab towards DC and their penchant for sweeping adopted family out of the way in favor of biological family.
Tell me what you would do if you had full creative control to write for DC with NO push back from editors and who would you piss off the most with your unhinged creative wiles?

“Shredder’s New Sword”
Tumblr media
Season 7, Episode 8 First US Airdate: October 9, 1993
Shredder captures the mystical sword Excalibur and threatens to destroy the fabric of time.
“Shredder’s New Sword” is the eighth episode of the “Vacation in Europe” side-season of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Series regulars Francis Moss and Ted Pedersen are the credited writers for this adventure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today the Turtles are in London, England, and make an overnight visit along with Splinter to the British Museum. Leonardo views a painting of King Arthur wielding the sword Excalibur, alongside Queen Guinevere and the Knights of the Round Table. Raphael and Michaelangelo join Leo in being mesmerised by the artwork, until Donatello steps in to point out that this legend is a work of fiction.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the Technodrome, Krang fiddles with a detector machine that can track any element on Earth. A rare one, Diridium, has turned up in England, the supplies of which would be enough to allow him to power up his fortress. Zooming in on an old castle, he views a pair of tombs, one of which contains King Arthur and Excalibur. Determining that the sword itself must be the source of the Diridium, Shredder sets off with Bebop and Rocksteady to claim the sword.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in London, we join the Turtles in the sewers, as Michaelangelo has sourced some punk rocker costumes for the team that surely would have looked dated in 1980, and downright bizarre by the time the events of this episode were taking place in the early nineties. Splinter declines to try on his disguise, opting to stay behind as the London sewers are “full of history”. (From here it just looks like they’re full of trash.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You know how this works by now: wherever the Turtles travel in Europe, April is never far behind. Today she wanders with Irma through the streets of London, complete with a red phone box and a single dowdy old car that both look about as current as Mikey’s punk outfits. April immediately spots the Turtles, doing an inexplicable finger-wagging animation before noting rockers with green skin tend to stand out. It probably helps that they’re the only other people wandering around in a city which then had a population of 6.75 million.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Irma explains that Burne sent her with April to cover the upcoming benefit event for the Prince’s Trust, which will be held at the Royal Albert Hall. The Crown Jewels will be on display there, and April invites the Turtles to join them in attending, on the condition that they get some better costumes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shredder is accompanied by Rocksteady and Bebop as he makes his way into the castle identified by Krang, claiming Excalibur for himself. Declaring himself “King Shredder the First”, he uses the sword’s magical powers to shatter a boulder before making his henchmen knights under the titles of “Sir Bebop” and “Sir Rocksteady”.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Turtles arrive at the charity event in their trench-coat disguises, but some unexpected attendees gatecrash the event: King Shredder and his knights, driving a car up the steps and through the doors of the Royal Albert Hall. Shreds claims a crown on display for himself as Rocksteady and Bebop restrain a group of London “bobbies” by dropping a chandelier on them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Turtles step in, but are easily defeated by the power of Excalibur. Clearing out the remaining crown jewels, the three villains escape in their car. Our heroes give chase, with Leonardo hurling his katanas to puncture the car’s tyres. Shredder and his men are forced to escape on foot, fleeing to a park where Excalibur brings a pair of stone lions to life. The cats corner the green teens as the first act reaches its conclusion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Act two opens with the Turtles in peril until a bearded wizard brandishing a magic wand intervenes, using his powers to shatter both lions. Before the team can process what just happened, the wizard vanishes again. With no clue as to what’s going on, the Turtles decide to return to the museum to engage in further research. While there, they spot a painting of the same individual they encountered, said to be Merlin, who stuns the team by coming to life in front of them. After having the situation explained to him, the doddering magician agrees to help the Turtles return Excalibur to its rightful place.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Merlin is perplexed as he wanders through the streets of London with the Turtles – now minus their disguises. The familiar sight of a group of TVs in a store window, all of them displaying the same pre-recorded news report by April, are staggering to the wizard, and his confusion is even greater when the real April appears in front of him. The group then watch a further news broadcast, in which an English announcer covers both the theft of the Crown Jewels and the appearances of historical figures around the city - “it’s as if the past were intruding itself upon the present!” - before moving on to cover the cricket results. Donatello speculates that the use of Excalibur is causing a time shift that will worsen if it continues, until the entire world ends up being pulled into a temporal black hole.
Tumblr media
Irma arrives on a horse-drawn carriage, explaining that it was a sports car when the rental company supplied it, but transformed midway through the journey. Prior to this change, she learned on the car radio that Shredder is in the process of robbing the Bank of England. Advising the ladies to return to their hotel, the Turtles and Merlin head off to intervene.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shredder and The Boys are seen emerging from the “Bank of London” rather than the Bank of England on cool motorbikes that look more like something from Skeleton Warriors than what we typically see in TMNT. Determining that the final thing he needs to be a king is a queen, Shreds happens to ride past the horse carriage containing the only two women in town and grabs April, electing her to rule alongside him. The Turtles and Merlin witness this, and conclude Shredder is likely to head to the Tower of London next, given that the King of England used to reside there.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
At the tower, Shredder has April and Irma tied up and crows to Rocksteady and Bebop about his newfound power, dismissing Krang as now being insignificant compared to him. He demonstrates this by generating a pair of giant knights, who he sends after the Turtles when they arrive to confront him. Merlin attempts to counter-attack but his powers can only generate a small pet cat due to his rustiness; as a result both he and the Turtles soon find themselves tied up, boulders affixed to them as Bebop and Rocksteady shove them into what I assume is supposed to be the Thames River.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As the third act opens, Leonardo spots a sunken ship at the bottom of the river, and floats near it to snap his ropes before freeing the others. After the group swim to safety, Merlin suggests that they may be able to find a way to strike back in Camelot, where his book of spells is kept, but they’ll need to act quickly: if Shredder retains Excalibur for an entire day and night, nothing will be able to stop him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Turtles and Merlin travel to Camelot, watching as the castle begins to rebuild itself. Shredder is one step ahead, now wearing the crown stolen earlier and clutching the spellbook in addition to Excalibur. The masked villain appears to be unstoppable until King Arthur appears, accompanied by Guinevere. Declaring that Shredder is an illegitimate king, he requests the assistance of a “champion”, leading Michaelangelo to nominate himself along with the other Turtles: “I’m a champion surfer, Leonardo here’s a champion ninja, Donatello’s a champion brain, and Raphael’s a champion... wise guy!”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A contest soon unfolds, with Arthur selecting Donatello and Michaelangelo to battle on his behalf. Shredder is keen to put forward his giant black knights, but Arthur insists that Rocksteady and Bebop compete instead. In the first contest, Bebop clashes with Donatello atop a log over one the castle’s moat, with an alligator swimming around beneath them. In a confusing bit of animation, Donnie appears to strike the log beneath them, knocking both into the water; after he ejects the gator into the air using the log, it lands on top of an escaping Bebop, chasing him away. Arthur goes on to declare Donnie the winner of the first duel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the second round, Rocksteady – instructed by Shredder in advance to cheat – engages in a jousting/surfing contest against Mikey. The mutant rhino is quick to pull a laser blaster on his opponent, but his opponent uses his spear to flip his opponent’s platform into the air. “Sir Michaelangelo” is deemed the winner of round two by Arthur.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
All of this turns out to have been a huge waste of time as, despite having decisively lost both rounds, Shredder’s response to being asked to hand over the sword is effectively “nuh-uh”. He goes on to engage in a brief swordfight with Leonardo, in which the Turtle’s blade is almost immediately destroyed by Excalibur. Raphael intervenes, knocking the weapon out of Shredder’s hand and allowing Arthur to reclaim it. Reunited with Rocksteady and Bebop, Shreds begs Krang to open a portal and allow them to retreat, promising to do anything – from cleaning the alien brain’s quarters, to giving both of their mutant henchmen a bath. Having sufficiently twisted the knife, Krang provides the trio with the ability to return to the Technodrome.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
King Arthur knights the Turtles, declaring that they will always serve as members of his Round Table. He disappears into the mist, along with Guinevere, Merlin and the reconstructed Camelot. With the normal flow of time restored, it appears as if all of this was a dream, though a bandage on Raphael’s arm confirms that these events really did happen. A tuckered-out Michaelangelo has managed to doze off after all of today’s excitement.
“Shredder’s New Sword” is an inconsistent offering, with multiple themes and concepts jammed into its twenty-two-minutes, none of them being pulled off entirely successfully. The show has always struggled to make its depictions of New York (later just “The City”) feel authentic, as we’ve seen in so many episodes where the Turtle Van will be driving around barren, deserted versions of locales like Times Square, and much the same is true here in the depiction of London. Some of the backgrounds and locales feel surprisingly authentic in terms of detail, yet the sense remains that time and budget requirements are robbing us of the chance to really see the Turtles interacting with the sights and people of the modern London of the 1990s; at some points it feels more like they’re wandering around some lifeless husk of a little English town in the seventies during the dead of night. We saw much the same when the Turtles visited Paris and Dublin, the emphasis on the historical significance of these locales overshadowing the fact that these are nevertheless modern cities: it comes off as almost condescending, honestly.
The potential for the Turtles to spend more time exploring London is scuppered further by the arrival of Merlin, and the third act in particular takes place almost entirely outside Camelot instead. We can take some solace in the fact that the team will return for the concluding episode of this arc, “Elementary, My Dear Turtle”, so there’s still time to make up for this; before then we still have a few episodes left to cover, as next time the Turtles will arrive in Greece to encounter “The Lost Queen of Atlantis”.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (vol. 1) #8: Team Up with Cerebus
Read Date: May 26, 2023 Cover Date: July 1986 ● Writer: Kevin Eastman ◦ Peter Laird ◦ Dave Sim ● Pencils: Kevin Eastman ◦ Peter Laird ● Inks: Kevin Eastman ◦ Peter Laird ◦ Dave Sim ◦ Gerhard ◦ Michael Dooney ● Letters: Steve Lavigne ◦ Dave Sim ●
Tumblr media
**HERE BE SPOILERS: Skip ahead to the fan art/podcast to avoid spoilers
Reactions As I Read: ● aww, it’s the Turtles’ first crossover! says so in the introductory notes ● heheh Renet is rather relatable ● that scepter head-that-looks-like-a-hand is creepy
Tumblr media
● “it’ll be like stealin’ the nose off a leper” 🤣🤣💀 ● the letterer for the Turtles’ side of the story has had to squeeze words into balloons several times already. I don’t remember this being an issue in the previous, um, issues. maybe because there’s a second letterer to do a literal side-by-side comparison ● Renet was relatable at the very first, but yeah, she is rather annoying. at least the other characters are annoyed by her, so it’s intentional ● laughing zombies ● 👏👏👏👏
Synopsis: The story begins as Renet, the apprentice to time master Lord Simultaneous, "borrows" her boss's Time Sceptre that contains the "sacred sands of time." This wand allows its wielder to be taken anywhere in time and space by merely wishing to go. Just as Renet grasps the scepter, she is discovered by Simultaneous, who is not happy with her. In fear and desperation, Renet wishes to be sent to New York City, circa 1986.
As the Fates would have it, Renet is transported to a rooftop where the turtles are goofing around. Renet quickly makes friends with the boys when they're suddenly interrupted by an enraged Lord Simultaneous. Renet wishes to be taken "anyplace on Earth before humans recorded time!"
Back in the past, we find Cerebus being awakened by his henchmen. It seems that the men are uncomfortable with the aardvark's plan to invade a foreboding castle and so they announce their plan to desert him. Cerebus threatens them and tries to get back to sleep, when Renet and turtles emerge through a portal in a flash of magical light. As the turtles struggle to their feet, we see that within the castle a satyr-like being awakes, alerted to the presence of the Time Scepter.
Leo apologizes to Cerebus for crash landing in his camp, but the aardvark is in no mood for discussions. As the two prepare for battle, Renet tells them to chill out and offers to explain everything. While Renet tells the tale of why she's bouncing through time (she was bored), Savanti Romero (the satyr-like man) and his army rush out of the castle to fetch the Scepter.
Our heroes hear the approaching warriors too late, and while they make efforts to escape, Savanti easily overcomes them with magic and takes the Time Sceptre. The wizard and his men retreat back to the fortress and leave our heroes unconscious on the ground.
A few hours later, the turtles, Renet and Cerebus find a town and go into a tavern. Cerebus arranges for a mercenary force to attack the castle at dawn by lying to them. The next morning the hired army attacks the fortress as the Turtles, Cerebus and Renet scale the castle walls. Savanti conjures an army of undead to fight the human attackers as the heroes battle their way into the castle. Eventually the TMNT and crew make it to Romero's inner chamber, but they're quickly subdued by his magic. As Savanti ponders how to kill them, Lord Simultaneous shows up. Romero casts numerous spells in an effort to defeat Simultaneous, but all his efforts are in vain. The time lord explains that the Scepter is old technology and then displays the new trans-temporal talisman - the Digital Cosmic Quartz (a wrist watch). Simultaneous zaps Romero and he disappears. He then sends the turtles back home and gives Cerebus the scrolls he came to the castle to get. Finally, Simultaneous returns home, where he punishes Renet by making her dust his vast library.

Mega Man 2 is an action game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was released in Japan in 1988 and in North America and PAL regions the following years. Mega Man 2 continues Mega Man's battle against the evil Dr. Wily and his rogue robots. It introduced graphical and gameplay changes, many of which became series staples.
Although sales for the original Mega Man were unimpressive, Capcom allowed the team to create a sequel. They worked concurrently on other Capcom projects, using their free time to develop the game, using unused content from the first game. Takashi Tateishi composed the soundtrack, with Yoshihiro Sakaguchi serving as a sound programmer.
Mega Man 2 is the second best selling Mega Man game, with more than 1.51 million copies sold. Critics praised its audio, visuals and gameplay as an improvement over the first game. Many publications rank Mega Man 2 as the best game in the series and one of the greatest video games of all time. The games soundtrack has been considered one of the greatest video game soundtracks of all time. It has been featured in game compilations, including Mega Man Legacy Collection for Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation 4, Windows, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch, rereleased on mobile phones, and become a part of console emulation services.
After his initial defeat, Dr. Wily, the series' main antagonist, creates his own set of Robot Masters in an attempt to counter Mega Man: Metal Man, Air Man, Bubble Man, Quick Man, Crash Man, Flash Man, Heat Man, and Wood Man. He also constructs a new fortress and army of robotic henchmen. Mega Man is then sent by his creator, Dr. Light, to defeat Dr. Wily and his Robot Masters. Mega Man defeats the eight new Robot Masters and then challenges Wily himself. During the final fight, Dr. Wily flees into the caves beneath his fortress and when Mega Man follows, attempts to trick Mega Man into thinking he is a space alien, but Mega Man defeats the alien revealing it to be a holographic projection device which malfunctions showing Dr. Wily at the controls. After the scientist begs for mercy, Mega Man spares Wily and returns home.
Mega Man 2 is a platform and action game like its predecessor, Mega Man. The player controls Mega Man as he traverses eight stages to defeat the bosses, Dr. Wily's Robot Masters: Metal Man, Air Man, Bubble Man, Quick Man, Crash Man, Flash Man, Heat Man, and Wood Man. Each Robot Master features a unique weapon and a stage related to their weapon's power. For example, Air Man shoots small tornadoes and is fought in a sky-themed level, while Wood Man can use a shield of leaves and is found in a forest-themed stage. After defeating a boss, their signature weapon becomes available to the player. The Robot Masters have weaknesses to the weapons of certain other Robot Masters; therefore, choosing the order in which the levels are played is a vital component of the gameplay. After completing certain stages, Mega Man receives a special item. These items create platforms that allow Mega Man to access areas that he otherwise could not.
After defeating the eight Robot Masters, the player proceeds to Dr. Wily's fortress, which consists of six levels that are played linearly. As in the first game, the player is required to fight each Robot Master a second time in Dr. Wily's fortress. However, these battles take place in a single room rather than a series of linearly connected rooms. The room contains teleportation devices that lead to each Robot Master. The devices can be entered in any order, but are not labeled. Once the bosses are defeated again, the player must fight Dr. Wily.
Mega Man 2 features a few gameplay changes from the original Mega Man. A new item, the Energy Tank, allows a player to refill Mega Man's health at any time. Also introduced is a password system. After defeating each Robot Master a password is displayed, allowing the player to return to that particular point in the game after restarting the system. The password stores the particular list of completed Robot Masters, as well as the number of accumulated Energy Tanks. Unlike the first game, Mega Man 2 does not feature a score counter, and the player is unable to return to Robot Master levels once completed.

Friday Night Funkin but I compelled a list of every lore/canon thing confirmed about FNF, specifically story elements said by the devs themselves
DISCLAIMER: YOU CAN TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT IF YOU WANT. Despite the devs confirming things, remember they can obviously change their mind. This list includes minor/semi-important bits, so lore you probably don’t know. “Major” lore most people know won’t be on this. Long post. This includes most if not all canon details the devs have stated on their social medias like Twitter, Twitch, Reddit, etc. These are not personal ideas or headcanons. REBLOGS GREATLY APPREICATED.
Boyfriend
- Hair is naturally cyan, not dyed. He is 19 years old. Boyfriend is a college dropout. He likes just speaking in "beeps and boops" sounds, it's not a language. He has ADHD. He's afraid of lightning.
- Both his parents work in accounting, they also own a dog BF has but can't take care of himself. Not known what dog breed it is.
- He and Hatsune Miku are siblings, and because of this BF is most likely asian specifically Japanese. Miku will be aged up to be the older sibling if she ever gets into the actual game.
- He loves pepperoni pizza from Dominos. Loves donuts the most out all FNF characters.
- Him and Pico are exes. This makes BF apart of the LGBTQ+ community.
- BF is very dumb just like GF. This also means he’s very confident, essentially fearless.
- Boyfriend sucks at FromSoftware games. However he's a really good scout player in Team Fortress 2. He's also likely to say "pog."
- Boyfriend is very good at finger board tricks, it’s one of the reasons he won Girlfriend’s heart.
Girlfriend
- She is 19 years old and afraid of lightning. She’s a demon and is a lot more chilled back than BF, she’s very fearless. She’s taller than BF by a good bit.
- Her favorite soda is Cherry Dr. Pepper and Cheerwine. Her favorite pizza topping is olive.
- GF likes to play video games, her favorite being Tetris.
- GF is extremely dumb just like BF and puts a lot of faith into BF to handle things. She does have emotions, she’s just very chill, aloof, or too dumb to realize. Or all of the above.
- The rest of GF's family aren't famous rapper/singers, just Dad and Mom.
- BF is the “top” but GF lets him be. (Phantom Arcade said this directly)
Daddy Dearest
- Because DD is retired, he gets his income from DMCAing people on Youtube for using his songs and music.
-  At some point DD pretends to “accept” BF, which really makes it harder for BF and does more crazy tricks on him. It’s a case of “keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.”
- GF’s dad may have known BF’s dad before.
Skid and Pump
- They get afraid sometimes but not at the right things, like monsters they aren’t afraid but are of natural things like heights. Somewhat similar to BF and GF.
- Skid and Pump were tricked by the Monster to get GF as a “treat” which is why they rap battle BF. When they fail the Monster comes out in the scrapped song for Week 2.
Pico
- He is 20 years old. Pico's School is canon to the Friday Night Funkin' universe. He's depicted having a tooth gap as a kid.
- Pico is a mercenary who was hired by Daddy Dearest to kill BF, he was only given a location and not a picture or name. Turns out BF is actually someone Pico used to know, implied by Phantom as not seeing BF for a long time, possibly years.
- Pico has schizophrenia, likely caused by trauma from Pico’s School, it’s likely the reason he always carries his gun with him as he’s very paranoid of people. He may have more than just schizophrenia.
- Him and BF are exes. He's been described by Tankman/Captain as "sexually ambiguous friend."
- Likes to drink McDonald's Sprite. And just like BF, he's likely to say "pog."
Mommy Mearest/Mommy Must Murder
- Unlike the Dad who is a ex-rockstar, MM is still working her job as a popstar.
- Likes to drink White Claw.
- The Henchmen that appear in the back are actually 5 days old, because they were grown/bottles in jars. They are clones.
Monster/Lemon Monster
- Hijacked Week 5 at the mall after the battle duet with the Dad and Mom, everyone at the mall scattering after Monster’s appearance.
- Tricked the Spooky Kids to get the GF as a “treat” so that it can eat GF and BF.
- The head of Monster is not actually a lemon, it’s just how it’s head is shaped.
- Is able to twist perception, presumably why after the hijack by Monster everything looked gorey and twisted.
Senpai/Spirit
- Senpai is just an AI in the game while Spirit is a completely separate entity from Senpai, who is self aware and is related to the real world.
- Senpai is used to being loved and admired, so when he’s not loved and doesn’t get his way he becomes a jerk. Senpai is a pathetic sore loser, that’s why he got angry after he lost to BF.
- GF used to play the Hating Simulator game all the time when she was younger like 8 years old and liked Senpai, but after being sucked into the game with BF and seeing how Senpai acted she doesn’t like Senpai and dislikes him.
- Spirit was trapped inside the character Senpai, Senpai is not being controlled by the Spirit. Senpai still acts as himself.
- The Spirit was trapped inside the game by the Dad, meaning there’s history of the GF’s dad having past relationships with other people.
- Senpai was originally a teacher and designed as one, but was later changed.
Ritz
- Ritz and BF are canonically brothers, in the sense of a "Stuart Little" situation. So adopted in a way.
- Ritz skateboards to travel sometimes.
Tankman/Captain
- The war area that Tankman and his men are on is a military base that BF and GF trespassed on, unlike the apocalyptic setting in the original Tankmen series.
- The Captain doesn’t actually know Pico, BF, or GF which make the assumptions he says “don’t you have a school to shoot up” and “no prom for you this year” false. He just says them because he’s an jerk.
Miscellaneous
- Every "week" takes place on a Friday.
- Week 2 happens after Week 4. And Week 6 happens after Week 5 or Week 2. This may be changed in the future.
- The characters' birthdays are on November 1st since that's when the game came out, not specified if it's just 1 or multiple characters' birthdays.
- Everyone's favorite fast food is Arby's. (Ninjamuffin however says he's only saying this since he wants to be promoted by them on Twitter)
- Yes Boyfriend and Girlfriend are their canon names, not Keith.
- Week 5 happens because BF takes GF on a date to visit Santa for Christmas, but the parents show up to ruin everything. Mall Santa is dead if you “game over” in Week 5.
- Week 7 happens because GF’s parents sent BF and GF on a “vacation” which was to crash a plane to kill BF, knowing GF would be fine. They land/crash near military zone which GF’s parents didn’t know or intended. Pico shows up because he was sent to “fetch the corpse” of BF, he didn’t kill BF obviously and is now in deep shit from GF’s parents after messing up his job twice.

Tumblr media
Hydra, Research Base, Eastern Europe.
You felt like your insides were full of hate and rage, every person you met through the thick forest, the only thing they felt when they saw you was dislike, mixed with the anger of wanting to get rid of you. Your powers worked because you kept your own emotions under control, but it was a constant struggle, as you used to feel inside you the emotions that others possessed and that made your insides filled with every negative emotion.
"Shit!" you heard Tony through the relay you had inserted in the back of your ear.
"Language!" Steve instantly rebutted him.
You held your position through the thick forest of Sokovia, Hydra's base was on top of a mountain, or rather it was the mountain itself, for around it they had built a rather impenetrable base that you wanted to access in order to get the Sceptre that you were unable to take from Loki at the time. Numerous clearly trained soldiers were trying to stop you in your tracks. Jarvis had informed you that the building was protected by an energy shield, which was against you as it was the most advanced technology you had seen in any Hydra base of operations.
"Loki's sceptre must be in there," Thor announced, as you guarded one of those soldiers under your body rendering him completely unconscious. "They couldn't have those defences without it."
You ran across the field trying to close the gap with Natasha, who was a few metres ahead of you, Clint following.
"Okay," you said staring at one of your targets and getting him to lower his gun to tackle him, "so what do we do?"
"Wait a second," Tony interjected. "No one else is going to deal with the fact that Cap just said "language?"
"I know," Steve replied, making your eyes roll at the distraction they were causing in the middle of the mission.
The graze of bullets was almost audible through your body, it seemed to go on forever, you had been going on for hours and all you could manage to do was run into more troops sent by Hydra to hold you in that quadrant of the forest. Natasha was trying to get rid of two guys who had tackled her, you turned to her and stared at one of them but just as you were about to make the mental connection something that you barely noticed made you fall to the ground.
"What the hell?" you exclaimed getting up again and looking around you hoping to find the cause of it.
"We've got an upgrade," Steve informed you.
"Wait, you don't call her 'language'?" Tony complained at the situation. "Okay, I'll tell her. Language!"
At that instant a muffled shout from Clint sounded behind you.
"Clint!" Natasha had effectively freed herself from the two henchmen and you both headed towards Clint, who had been shot from a bunker. "Clint's hurt. Can someone take care of that bunker?"
As if Natasha's words were an order, Hulk appeared out of nowhere to overwhelm the small building and the soldiers inside. You stood up and turned your full attention to your surroundings while Nat continued to perform the necessary treatment to alleviate the blow that your companion had received.
"Clint is in bad shape, he needs to be evacuated," Nat reported over the transmitter, as Thor and the Captain instantly landed next to you. "I can take Barton to the Quinjet," Thor replied and focused his gaze on Steve. "The sooner we leave the better.
"Copy that," Steve replied for both of you, but at that moment he noticed your face.
"Roger that," Steve replied for both of you, but at that moment he noticed your face. "Are you all right?"
You nodded, returning to an introspective position beside Natasha.
On the ride home, silence flooded the Quinjet more than ever, the mission had finally succeeded but it wasn't really in the air, it wasn't felt inside any of you, even though Stark had proposed a victory party.
The following days nothing had gone as planned, the analysis of the sceptre that Stark and Banner had carried out, more than an analysis it was a reconfiguration of a network of neurons that they had found, in order to create an artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence that they used in Stark's secret 'peacekeeping' programme called Ultron, designed to allow the Iron Legion to operate independently. That brought some trouble, when at the end of the Party he showed up to personally attack you, well rather, the whole of humanity, as Ultron thinks the best way to save Earth is to eradicate humanity, he might be partly right.
"Ultron is gone," Banner's voice echoed within the four walls of the lab, "he has used the internet as an escape route."
"Ultron," you whispered to yourself, as one hand covered your face thoroughly.
"He's been all over. Files, surveillance," Natasha explained. "He knows more about us than we know about each other."
As the conversation continued to escalate, emotional energies radiated through the atmosphere, and you picked up on every one of them. Negativity, gathered together with worry, confusion and concern took over your body, you still felt a resentment from the attack you experienced three days ago in Sokovia, which managed to heighten each of the sensations. You closed your eyes as you hid your face with one hand and the other voices became ominous, frustrating your senses. Natasha was the only person who seemed to notice your situation, stopping the voices with a "guys", but just as they stopped, a small laugh from a completely distracted Tony typing on the computer made you burst.
"You think that's funny?" the hand hiding your face disappeared to give way to hard features and a raised, gruff tone of voice, Tony turned and looked at you a little quizzically, but you could see a hidden smile.
"No," he said indifferently. "It probably isn't, is it? This is terrible, it's so..." again his laughter tackled him, causing you to be completely confused and your frustration to grow. "I know. It's so terrible."
"It's just as terrible that you're taunting all of us right now with your fucking arrogance," you said approaching him.
"No," his tone unlike yours seemed pleasant and friendly, "It really is funny, just like it's funny that you don't understand why we need him," Tony closed the distance with you, positioning the two of you in the middle of the lab, his voice had completely changed it was just as gruff as yours.
"Tony, maybe this isn't the time," Bruce interjected in a melodic tone.
"So, a killer robot was what we needed?" you reproached, lifting your chin to position yourself against his height. "The shield that was supposed to free us from alien threats frees us by wiping out all of humanity, yeah, really brilliant."
"Remember I put a nuke through a wormhole?" he rebuked you, recalling for the umpteenth time that night the event in New York. "Tell me, how did you plan to win that? What was your damned solution to get rid of that damned hostile alien army that came through that wormhole in space?"
"Together," Steve interjected quickly, causing Tony to look away from you and back at Steve.
You made the air rush into your lungs offering you some relaxation, instigating your mind to let positive memories come to you. Your differences with Tony were known, your understanding of his views was limited, a fact that generated the occasional verbal conflict between the two of you, let's just say you couldn't stand each other more than you deserved.
The night was long, mostly because there was hardly any rest after planning what you were going to do to stop Ultron, which led you to South Africa.
"She should stay," Nat's whisper reached your ears. "The mission in Sokovia has left her with  aftermath she has yet to overcome."
"Oh, last night was a aftermath?" Tony from the pilot's seat added to the conversation. "Nice."
"You know I'm here and I can hear you?" you asked without opening your eyes from your seat. "I'm coming down, worry about you guys that..."
"Okay, listen," Tony stood up from the command post. "I may regret saying this but I agree with her. I think you should stay here with Banner. Keep you two company. Get to know each other better. You know."
"Why don't you stay here, Tony, and get to know Banner better?" you opened your eyes and looked at Tony, but thought for a second. "Well, I'd better not, lest you get the bright idea to create Ultron's sister."
"He's an only child," Tony countered your irony.
"The roles are split," you added as a definitive point. "I'll take the girl, you take Ultron."
From a mountain fortress to a ship in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. You entered its interior, a quite feasible target, when in fact what you all feared lay within. Darkness fell over your pupils, the smell of dampness professed in every corner.
"You're with me, aftermath," reported a voice from behind a suit of armour. "Stay sharp, this guy is made by me."
The long corridors soon took you deep into the heart of the ship, they were as eager to run into you as you were to run into them, so it was only a couple of minutes before you were reunited in a vast maze of iron catwalks.
"Stark is a sickness!" exclaimed that robot called Ultron.
"Ahh, Junior," Tony posed in front of him and his two enhanced companions, "You're gonna break your old man's heart."
From that moment on things happened too fast for a clear description to be made. The corridors seemed to lengthen as you tried to keep that enhanced girl, Wanda, away from the others. She was powerful, trying to play with your mind and you with hers. It was a battle of mental endurance, if you could keep your mind blank and safe from all the negative things she was trying to make you see, you could keep going. It seemed doable, you seemed to have it under control, you had freed yourself from the transmitter that kept you in contact with the others to avoid any external distractions, but none of that was enough when a new enhancement came into play making you lose your balance completely, you felt the emptiness flooding you, as if your body was falling unchecked into the darkness.
A halo of light circled over your eyes making you recognise what was around you, you had escaped, you had fled from that ship thousands of miles in space and time. A figure that you recognised instantly was in front of you, smiling at you, raising her hand to caress your face, it was the figure of your mother, she was laughing, but with each laugh the atmosphere became darker. The main living room of your house appeared before your eyes, but it seemed totally neglected, the furniture was worn out, there was dust and mould in every corner, your mother was prostrate on the floor and a figure without a face was on top of her beating her, you heard the screams of a little girl, they were quite familiar, they were yours. That scene began to repeat itself over and over again, reliving your childhood, you fought to try to change it, but you had no control over it or over your mind at that moment, time after time the pain invaded you and although you tried to stop it, it became impossible again. You had entered a loop, you had lost track of time and space, you couldn't run away from it. Your own mind had become part of it.
Your ears only picked up your screams and those of your mother, you kept your eyes open but your vision was not able to see, you fell to your knees wherever you were in reality and you stayed there, until someone managed to locate you.
"I got her," as a faint whisper drifted into the scene you were living. "Okay. You're safe, I've got you."
As if you were again falling into the void your body rose into the air, and the darkness once again hovered over you, causing all your limbs and your brain to go into a deep, eternal sleep.
Without really knowing where you were, you could hear a faint hissing sound that came more and more strongly to your senses. Light broke through your eyelids, which were struggling against their will to open. Familiarity with the space made you realise where you were. The whistling sound was coming from the air hitting the Quinjet, for all was silent inside. You sat up slowly, the mental pain was suffocating, not only because of what you had seen and what you had been through, but because you could feel the same sensations all around you.
You sat up, covering your face with your hands and hiding it between your legs trying to pull yourself together, but at that moment you felt someone kneel down right in front of you and put a hand on the back of your neck.
"What can I do?" Tony's voice sounded cautious, but there was really little he could do in those few square metres of anguish, so you just shook your head. "Okay, look at me," you shook your head again not wanting to have direct access to any more emotions at the moment, "Look at me. Please."
Your breathing was rapid and your heart kept shrinking, causing a lump in your throat that almost prevented you from breathing. You couldn't extract everything you had inside you, nor could you find the calm you needed to let him go, you were afraid to look at him to interfere with his feelings and manipulate them by offering him yours, you were also afraid of acquiring his negative emotions and adding them to your own. But still you felt his hand go to your chin and he gently lifted it up to catch your face in his gaze.
"In a couple of hours we'll be in a shelter," his face was close, his fingers held firmly on your chin. "Do you think you'll be okay?"
A subtle nod is what you offered in reply, Tony nodded as well and took a seat right next to you after having moved closer to Barton.

A subtle nod is what you offered in reply, Tony nodded as well and took a seat right next to you after having moved closer to Barton. Those two hours seemed endless, you kept your hands pressed to your temple trying to forget what you had seen, but more so what you had felt. Tony, along with Barton were the only ones who had not suffered the effects of Wanda Maximoff's mind control on you on that occasion, it was evident from the physical and mental state of the other teammates.
Tony stayed by your side for the entire 120 minutes, worried and afraid that everything that had happened was his fault, and it was all coming back to you.
"Stop," you whispered trying to get Tony's attention.
"How?" he whispered and bent his face closer to yours, which was resting on your hands.
"Stop flogging yourself, I've had enough of the others," you pleaded a little rudely, unable to control yourself.
"I'm sorry," he placed his palm on your back, but an uncomfortable gesture from your shoulder caused him to remove it a second later. "I'm sorry."
A couple of hours later, the Quinjet took up position on a large greenish esplanade, the greenest thing your eyes had ever seen in your life. In the centre was a small cottage, cosy enough for anyone to see. Tony held you firmly, as it seemed that your body would fall if he let go. You went inside together, a hospitable warmth surrounded each of your limbs causing you to get some peace in you after hours.
Time seemed to have taken its toll on your senses, as you barely understood half of what was being said around you. But everything changed when two children entered, bringing joy and life to the room, it was the most comforting thing you had felt in weeks, the innocence that each of them possessed was like a breath of fresh air to you. You gently removed your arm from Tony's shoulders, murmuring "I'm feeling better," and he returned an "Okay" with a still worried look on his face. Actually Barton's idea of taking you there had been really successful for all of you, except for Thor who left, but for the rest of you it was something you'd never been able to contemplate in your lives, kind of like what it would be like to have a family.
Sunset was near and the view from that wooden porch surrounding the house was charmingly soothing.
"You look good," Tony appeared behind you with his hands in his pockets and perched next to you, leaning on the railing.
"Thank you," you said, looking back up at the grove of trees that loomed before your eyes. "And thanks for earlier."
" For what?" he asked with confusion in his voice.
"When you tried to reassure me on the Quinjet," you said without looking at him. "And... I think it was also you who took me back."
"Yep," Tony put his hand to the back of his neck and turned to you. "The truth is, that process would have been a lot more feasible if you hadn't gotten rid of the transmitter, it would have saved me a lot of time."
"I know," you ducked your face, but a small smile appeared on it.
"Do you want to talk?" Tony's voice seemed somewhat hesitant after stating the question.
"No," you shook your face, letting the last rays of sunlight fall on him. "Do you want to talk?"
"What do you feel?" he answered your question with another question, ignoring it completely. "What do you feel inside when you feel us?"
"I feel what other people are feeling," you explained, looking at him for the first time. "If I concentrate I can feel what you're feeling right now, or what Steve is feeling, or how the Hulk feels when he turns."
"How?"
That conversation you'd had on several occasions in your life, but at no point had you had it with Tony, you hadn't been close at any point, closeness you could find in Natasha or even Steve, but not in Tony, that's why that moment was peculiar, as well as comforting.
"It's easy when my emotions are in control," you turned your body towards him and leaned against the wooden railing. "I just have to look at my target and focus on how he feels, knowing that whatever is inside him I'm going to feel it too," you focused your gaze on Tony's eyes, "for instance, right now you're remorseful about what happened with Ultron, but you also feel misunderstood because no one understands your point of view, you're also melancholy about being in this place, a little envious about discovering the life that Barton has, and..." you paused slightly as you discovered one of his feelings, but you chose to ignore it, as he seemed to be really nervous about the process of analysis he was undergoing, "embarrassed because right now I'm feeling the same way you are.”
You offered him a slight smile, which he himself returned a little nervously at the exposition you had offered him, Tony was a very rigorous person when expressing himself and this had completely thrown him off.
"That..." he put one hand nervously to the back of his neck while the other was hidden in his trouser pocket. "Great, I guess it's nice to know I'm not empty. But well, we'd better keep this between us."
"Of course," for the first time you felt a little satisfied with your task just done, it was nice to see that this person could shed his pride on several occasions.
"Well, I'd better go and help Rogers chop wood," he said, standing up beside you and scratching the bridge of his nose.
" Yes, he certainly looks like he could use your help," you commented wryly as Steve had little difficulty chopping wood in one fell swoop.
"Yeah," he shoved his hands in his pockets and slipped out of the place as quickly as possible.
Within a minute you could feel him perch next to you again, leaning his body on the railing and looking at you.
"That's all you found?" he asked with a frown and gesturing nimbly with his hand, a gesture that denoted nervousness. "I mean, there was nothing else."
"What do you mean?" you frowned as he did, looking completely puzzled, since you already knew what he meant.
"Well..." he scratched the back of his neck again, "Do you usually do this to me? I mean, have you ever gone inside my head before to see how I'm feeling or have you only done it this once? Is it usual?"
"Do you really think I want to know what you keep in your head Tony?" you asked holding back a laugh at his reaction.
"Okay," he gave a long nod biting the inside of his lip. "And there was nothing else you said?"
"Do you want me to try again? Maybe I can find something else," you offered humbly, knowing what he wanted.
"No, it's... all right," his words were accompanied with a step back, putting distance between you and him. "It's all right. I'm... going to go help Cap."
"Okay," you bit your lower lip as you watched him disappear behind you again. behind you again.
You watched as Tony walked over to Steve's pile of firewood and picked up an axe to imitate his movements. You remained in your position, keeping your gaze lost in that grove of trees that made you feel so calm, but it was very easy to catch Tony's gaze watching you from his position. He knew that you had felt it, because perhaps it was one of the emotions that was strongest inside him at that moment, but evidently you didn't want to expose it out loud, and let him know that you had discovered it. Yet there it was, and it was going to take you too long to forget that feeling, because it felt too good to let it go.

Catching up on some more @whumptober2020 prompts!
This one combines theme 11 – Psych 101; specific prompt: defiance; theme 12 – I Think I’ve Broken Something; specific prompt: broken bones; and theme 25—I Think I’ll Just Collapse Right Here, Thanks; specific prompt: blurred vision/ringing ears!
This one’s back to Steve/Bucky, and it’s actually the follow-up to my very first Whumptober ficlet, which had the prompt of “restraints” (but not the fun kind!), which can be found here! This one should stand alone okay even if you haven’t read that one, though.
Warnings...not too much, non-graphic mention of various injuries?
#
Steve’s angry. That’s not an uncommon emotion—anger at injustices, at bullies, at shortsighted selfishness—but right now his anger’s got a clear and specific target.
He glares at the Hydra goons. They’re in his way. He takes some justified satisfaction in knocking them all down the stairs. He has to get back to Bucky.
He has to get back to Bucky, because the last time he saw Bucky there’d been a weapon firing and an explosion, and Steve had woken up being dragged toward a flying Hydra escape monstrosity, like a helicarrier but more spiky and evil, with orders being shouted about taking Captain America and abandoning the base and shooting the remaining prisoners—
The base is falling. The explosion’s made the foundations unstable. Steve pauses to punch a minion or two and keeps running. Defying fate, defying Hydra’s trap, defying their plans. How many times now?
The answer’s a lot. Between him and Bucky: a lot of defiance. Not doing what Hydra wants. Making would-be conquerors, monstrous scientists, and their henchmen all very annoyed.
 Good. Steve’s annoyed too.
He’d woken up and knocked out the guards manhandling him, and then taken a running jump at the flying den of evil, with the result that it never managed to lift off and now sits smoking on the launchpad like a broken toy. And he’d bolted for the stairs: finding Bucky, finding captured agents, hammering in his thoughts.
His ears’re still ringing. His vision’s a little blurry. Must’ve landed on his head after the explosion. Must’ve been bad; he has to stop for a second as the staircase wavers. Getting better, though.
He has to be just fine. He has to find Bucky.
He can’t let Bucky die for him again. He can’t leave Bucky again. Not now, not ever.
Not now, when he and Bucky have fought for each other and fought each other and fought their way back to each other—they can have this, they’re not going to lose this, this tender wondrous perpetually amazed joy—
He has to save people. It’s what Captain America does. What Bucky would tell him to do.
He stumbles into a corridor—the fortress is a maze, twisting as a serpentine dungeon—and finds cells, and hostages, the kidnapped agents who’d been the bait. The doors’re easy enough to break; he tells them all to get out, to find the rest of the SHIELD team and head for the planned extraction and meeting-points, to watch out for slowly sagging old stones and crumbling walls.
It’s not a fast collapse. The building’s taking its time. But a chunk’s missing from its underside, and it totters with every shift in weight.
None of the people he’s pulled out has seen Bucky Barnes. Steve swallows a spike of glass—he protected you, he loves you, he saves you and saves you and you can’t even FIND him—and doesn’t press his hand to his temple, though his head’s throbbing; he has to project authority, command, control of the situation.
He runs for the stairs again.
He runs into a knot of Hydra minions, all of whom try to kill him. Steve plows into them. They’re keeping him from Bucky.
This one’s a dense group, lots of them, and they’ve been well trained. Steve’s ears and eyesight are getting better but the ringing and occasional double vision are messing with his balance. He’s not as fast as he should be. Ends up briefly pinned against a wall. Magnetic cuffs on a wrist. A shot through his left knee.
Bodies shift. Stir. Fall. Not Steve’s doing. Someone else, quick and efficient. Steve pushes against the cuffs, takes advantage of distraction, tosses a minion down some stairs. Spins back to find a heap of disposed-of Hydra, everybody taken care of, and—
“Bucky—?” His voice scrapes, horrified. The fortress groans.
Bucky’s so badly hurt—visibly, clearly, painfully injured, broken ribs from the way he’s moving, broken ankles that’re healing but obviously not quite right, bruises around his throat, and then his arms—the vibranium’s twisted and bent, though plainly functional, but the other one’s only barely recognizable—
“Figured you could use some help,” Bucky rasps; he makes a face at the sound of his own voice and lifts a bloody hand to touch his throat, even as Steve throws himself that direction and throws his arms around the other half of his soul.
Bucky staggers a step because Steve’s not light these days and they’re both healing, but holds onto him with reassuring strength: whatever Hydra and the explosion’ve done, he’s upright and mobile. Steve touches his cheek, hand shaky; blood gets on both of them, from both of them.
He kisses Bucky, then, because he has to: wild and frantic, proof of life and heartbeats, as the walls tremble and the fortress shudders around them. Bucky kisses him back, equally fierce, equally real.
They’re here. They’re here and still them. They’ve saved the captured agents; they can save each other, now.
Bucky holds onto him a little more as Steve pulls back; Steve stops instantly. “You ready to get out of here?”
He means: are you okay, can I carry you, please let me help? But Bucky just nods, not bothering to try to talk, and braces himself against Steve’s shoulder.
“Okay,” Steve says, “together,” and they support each other, they hold onto each other and heal, and run for the extraction point as the fortress comes down.

The Tide Rises ~ Chapter 1
Tumblr media
Ocean always knew her name was her destiny. For as long as she could remember, the island's waters called to her, and nothing else mattered but the feeling of exhilaration as she skied the almost stationary waves of the island or caught speed with a boat down the rapid channels in between. She could rarely recall the times she could be found anywhere else but the shorelines of Sweaty Sands or Craggy Cliffs. Ocean: her name was indeed her purpose, and who would be more qualified to lead a base on the water than her?
Brutus had tracked her down by the earpiece that she never actually kept in her ear, and she had agreed immediately when he had given her a simple task: taking charge of The Fortilla, a fortress sitting in the corner of the island where the storm didn't quite reach. The debris it was constructed with had flowed from the wreckage between The Shark to The Rig, and she remembered quite clearly that she had helped GHOST plan out its structure. She may not have been an engineer like the one she heard had betrayed them, but she sure had a vision.
Some short time after the floodwaters had reached its highest point and submerged half of the island under, she had been there to witness when its finished structures had first swayed among the waves. Despite their new base, not only GHOST, but the entire island was left at an inconvenience. To Ocean, the flood was a paradise. With more room to swim and bigger waves to ride, she couldn't wait to explore the risks of being in charge in such a dangerous environment. New opportunities, new species... in particular, sharks.
One lurked near The Fortilla one day, and she was ecstatic as millions of ideas flew through her head. She threw on her lifejacket, grabbed a pair of water skis, and pulled a fishing rod from one of the dozens of barrels sitting around. The end results were killer, as she would say—she rode circles around the apartments and slipped between the buildings of the base... until the shark leapt into the air, destroying part of the mall.
That was when Ocean realized that being in charge didn't mean doing whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted. As she watched henchmen try to salvage some items and listened to Brutus's reprimandations, she realized there was more to the job that she still didn't quite understand.
They put down the shark soon after. A team of agents cornered and killed it, but it didn't die without leaving her something in remembrance. Lodged in its jaws was a burst assault rifle—her favorite—and after a few upgrades, she always patrolled her routes with it.
When all was done, however, she walked the docks with a little less bounce in her step. With SHADOW's new reign over the island, GHOST had to lay low for a while, and now she was their highest target as their leader. Being confined to The Fortilla was anything but fun, and suddenly, Ocean didn't like the flood anymore. Swimming the same waters was getting tiresome, and now she had to keep track of so many new responsibilities that sometimes she could barely comprehend.
With an exasperated sigh, Ocean kicked a bottle into the water and watched it float for a minute. Turk had been sitting a short distance away on the dock; he was passing the time as usual by fishing. He couldn't be found doing anything else lately. Upon hearing the plastic fly into the sea, he looked up and behind at her. Taking notice of her frustration, he reeled in his rod and lowered it. "Everything alright, ma'am?"
Ma'am. The formalities everyone addressed her with now made her cringe every time, but by this point, she had learned to grow used to them. After all, it's what they were most comfortable with around their former leader. She shook her head and sighed again. "I want to do something. Sitting around here's wack, the sharks don't come around anymore because we kill them the second they do, and now there's nothing to do."
Turk chuckled. "You sure are different from Midas." His smile sunk a little at the mention, but he masked his disappointment quickly. "He was impatient, sure, but he wasn't this restless."
There was a harpoon gun lying at his side, and he offered it to her. "Catch a few fish, maybe? It can be a good mind clearer."
Ocean stared at its sharp point before shaking her head hastily. She hadn't actually fished since her youth, as it had been a hobby her father had tried to get her into. She had barely gotten the hang of fishing rods then; the time she had ridden the shark, she had asked Meowscles for help with catching the bait. Either way, the hobby on its own bored her.
Cameo had warned her of this—you could rarely go a couple sentences in conversation with the angler before he mentioned something about fish or fishing. His immediate answer would be to hand you a fishing rod if you asked for something to do. "Yeah, no thanks," she said, remembering what Cameo told her to say if the topic came up. "Fishing... isn't my calling, y'know?"
Turk smirked a little and set it by her feet, anyway. "Cameo got to you already, huh? I wouldn't care if you said it's boring, she's told me since she joined the force.
"Fine, it is boring," Ocean laughed. After a moment of silence, however, she glanced at the harpoon gun and hesitantly reached down to pick it up. At this point, she was desperate for new ideas, and from the one time she had used a harpoon gun just weeks ago, it seemed straightforward enough. "I actually fished a couple times with my dad when I was little. Not with a harpoon gun though. So, I just shoot it into the water and hope to catch something?"
"Well, more or less," Turk shrugged. "It takes a little more skill than that, of course. It's all about timing and patience. I may do it for fun, but knowing how to fish is a key thing to learn on this island for survival. Harpoon guns are good for starting out, since they're easier to use in general. Functioning like a pistol and all."
He pointed to a small circular spot in the distance, where a different fish would periodically leap into the air. "Luckily for us, our waters have always been clear enough to see into. Try over there; you'll probably have a better chance of catching something. If you try anywhere else, you might just pull up a rusty can."
Ocean walked to the end of the dock and peered into the little bubble of water, where several fish were swimming about in circles, creating ripples and bubbles at the water's surface. She aimed carefully at a moving slurpfish and followed its movements with the spear of the harpoon. The target she had faced with one those weeks ago was a SHADOW attacker that had bothered her while she was salvaging for building parts, and that was a much larger target. To get this target, she had to be precise.
She pulled the trigger and watched with a smile of anticipation as the harpoon clipped the tail of her target. As soon as it reeled itself in, the fish flew off the spear. Turk reached out to catch it, but it fell short and landed at his feet. Ocean burst into laughter and handed him the harpoon gun, nudging the fish back into the water with her foot. "Yeah, I'm not cut out for fishing. We'll leave all that to you."
She shielded a hand over her eyes as she looked off into the distance. She could see the Sweaty Sands hotel standing tall as usual, and an idea struck her when her eyes drifted to a nearby motorboat. "You know... I bet plenty of sharks hang out around Sweaty Sands and... well, The Shark. What's left of it, I mean." Turk visibly flinched, but she paid it no mind. "There's a lotta water out there, so it's perfect."
Turk raised an eyebrow and cast out his line. "I'm not sure I follow... or that I want to follow."
Ocean smirked and rested her gloved hand at the top of the rod. "Hey, I might be a high target for SHADOW, but if someone was with me while I left The Fortilla for a little while, then it wouldn't be so bad, right? Like a chaperone."
"It would still be fairly risky, and if you're talking about taking me, you're out of luck," he said, shaking his head.
"Please?" She begged. "I know I'm not the only one who wants to get out of here for at least five minutes! Look, I just want to find another shark, take it for a quick ride, and we'll be back right away."
"I don't know, ma'am. I just don't think it's a good idea." He shook his head again.
There was a certain look in his eyes, though, as if he were beginning to be tempted. She could see it so clearly, and she knew a little more persuasion would change his mind. "Turk." She looked him in the eye. "SHADOW probably isn't going away for a long time. Do you really want to be stuck only fishing here for however long that's gonna be?"
Turk tore his eyes away from her convincing gaze and reeled his line back in, but he was already in. "Alright," he sighed, standing up. "This is a one time thing, got it?"
Ocean beamed. "Totally."

"Are you ready?" Turk asked, stepping onto the boat.
Ocean had gathered together all of her gear and thrown it inside: her pink life jacket, water skis, and a helmet she had won from a friendly altercation with Brutus, which she had painted flowery pink and yellow designs on. Just in case, she threw in a case of chug splash, and of course, she firmly attached her burst assault rifle to her holster. "All set."
She hopped on as the boat engine revved into life, and as they made their way to the edge of the fortress, they began to pick up speed. She had just sat down, but as soon as they were away, she stood up and threw off her helmet. The wind blew in her face and though her hair, and she missed this sense of freedom she felt when exploring the waters. "Oh hell yeah," she squealed, feeling as the sea's mist splashed against her face. Turk, though he still seemed somewhat hesitant, was noticeably thrilled to get away, too.
Alas, the journey from The Fortilla to Sweaty Sands wasn't a very long one, and the adrenaline was short-lived when they quickly found themselves at the dock where the SofDeez ice cream parlor had been submerged underwater. Regardless, Ocean loved every second of the short expedition, and she hopped off the boat before it even stopped. She gazed into the distance, over the miles of the higher ocean. More of The Shark had resurfaced since the last time she had been there, but it still hadn't gotten past the sea animal-shaped rock.
As Turk unpacked his supplies, his gaze was also fixated on the destroyed base, and it was far more solemn. "Been a minute since I've been over here," he muttered. "I didn't think I'd be able to look at it."
"Yeah, sucks that you guys got forced out," Ocean said, surveying the water. "To be fair, you would have gotten drowned out even if it hadn't blown up, anyway."
"You weren't there, were you?" He asked, and there was a slight tremble in his voice. Ocean shook her head; it was a day she had been out and about as usual, considering she hadn't paid attention to GHOST until Brutus had found her. She hadn't been around for The Device, though no one at all knew what happened with that. Turk sighed. "A lot of people were injured, died, even. The henchmen got all of us higher ranks out first, so none of us really took any damage... 'cept for, uh, Liv."
She'd heard of henchmen deaths, but no one else, not that she was familiar with names beforehand anyway. "Liv?"
"Outcast." He sighed and cast his line into the water. "She, uh... was my sister. Didn't make it out in time. That's why I stick to fishing all the time at the moment. Our favorite thing to do."
Ocean frowned. "Sorry... hey, we can go somewhere else if-"
"I'll be alright," he said with a light smile, though she could tell it was somewhat forced. "Go ahead and do whatever you needed to do."
Leaving the matter alone, Ocean put her hand over her eyes to shield them from the sun and searched the water again; at first glance, there were no sharks around, but rather, some suspicious movements foaming in the center between them and The Shark's remains. Some sort of... disruption, that she had a strange urge to investigate. "Hang on," she said, hopping in.
As she swam off, Turk took a look into the distant waters as well; the way it was moving was far from normal. "Ma'am," he called, "I don't think that's a good idea!"
But, Ocean paid no attention to his concern. It wasn't until the currents picked up and sent her swaying that she realized it was too late: she was being pulled into the eye of a giant whirlpool. She cursed under her breath and tried not to flail—panicking would only worsen the situation. She'd been in this situation before, but not in a vortex to this extent. As she reached the middle, she tried to calmly push herself away parallel to the currents, but it was almost to no avail as her head had finally submerged underwater... until it wasn't.
She was flying. The blue was growing farther and farther away beneath her flailing feet, and she could feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins as she came to a stop high in the air. This was the exhilaration she had been looking for! Suddenly, gravity decided to come back into play and pulled her downwards, and she realized she was diving fast. She pulled out her glider, just in time for her to float and land safely back onto the dock, just next to their boat.
As she stood on her feet with ease, as if her life wasn't just on the line moments ago, Turk looked at her in astonishment. A wide grin spread across her face. "Now that was rad."
He felt the string of his rod bob, and it shook him back to life as he reeled it in. "You really are something, boss," he chuckled.
She scanned the water one more time—she had spotted a shark on her way down, and sure enough, she could still see its fin sticking out of the water a small distance away. She immediately rushed to the boat and pulled out her water skis, as well as an extra fishing rod from a nearby. There was no way she would let this opportunity pass. "Can you help me out?" She asked, handing Turk the rod. He raised an eyebrow. "Last time I tried to use one it went behind and caught Drift's jacket."
He chuckled again and led her through the motions. When he backed away, Ocean whistled out, hoping to catch the attention of Noah, the shark she had already named. Within seconds, it swam over and took the bait. She laughed as she was pulled into the water, finally getting a chance to ski the waves yet again. She led Noah a few times around the whirlpool to get a feel for it, but of course, that wasn't the only thing she had schemed up in her gliding. She guided the shark straight into the center, and the grin on her face grew even wider.
Barely hanging onto the handle of her rod, they were launched in the air, and as the breeze picked up due to their height, Ocean felt the most alive she had ever felt since the beginning of the flood. She struck a pose mid-air, cheering and laughing along the way as they dove back into the water.
She waved goodbye to Noah as she let him swim off. Abandoning the fishing rod in the middle of the sea, she secured herself back on the dock and slipped off her skis.
The ground shook suddenly, and as if she knew exactly what to expect, she looked to the sky. Not that far away, a rift had opened up, and a flaming dot fell out of it, soaring towards Pleasant Park like an asteroid.
Ocean rushed back to the boat and watched with Turk as the comet-like pod hit the ground with a medium-sized explosion. Neither of them had to say anything, because by now, everyone on the island was familiar with occurrences like this.
"Should we intervene?" Turk asked.
Ocean bit her lip and contemplated; she didn't expect to have to take charge so soon after the excitement. "Uh... maybe we should take a look, so we know what we're up against, and then call for backup if we need to."
Turk nodded and started up the boat. "Just to be safe, we oughta watch from the island over there. Keep our distance."
Ocean agreed and grabbed her helmet, slipping it on for an extra layer of protection. Once they dodged the whirlpool and made the short ride there, Turk pulled out a sniper, hoping to find the exact crash site of the pod, and looked through the scope. He didn't really need it, though; the humans and laughter of the space intruders could be heard and tracked from miles away.
Marauders, they had been named, from an unknown world. For weeks, groups of them would show up through rifts and crash in a different location each time to wreak havoc all over the island. They had no problem living loudly, shooting at whoever was near and damaging structures everywhere, as if they owned them. Nobody could pinpoint what strange planet or reality they came from, and GHOST could only get involved in the first place if they landed close to base.
Turk surveyed the group and relayed the information he gathered to Ocean. "Looks like two deadeyes and two assaults again. The Heavy has a rocket launcher this time."
"So we have to worry about stink bombs and blast damage," Ocean said with a nod; she drew her burst assault rifle. "We should bring over TNTina. She'll know how to combat the big guy easiest."
Turk ducked down suddenly and pulled Ocean down with him. "Careful, they're looking this way. And it's your call, but we'll have to be quick if we're gonna take them on."
"I... don't have my earpiece," she said, digging through her pouch just in case. Just a few seaside trinkets she had collected over the years, but sure enough, no earpiece. "But let's get in TNTina and anyone else available."
Turk pulled a radio from his own tactical bag and pressed a few buttons. "Agent Turk to command," he said quietly, "requesting backup, west of Pleasant Park. I'm here with Ocean. Confirmed marauder sighting; they have a rocket launcher, so if she's available... send in TNTina."

“April Gets in Dutch”
Tumblr media
Season 7, Episode 11 First US Airdate: October 23, 1993
The Turtles and Shredder jostle for control of a valuable diamond that can be used to create a rift between dimensions.
The “Vacation in Europe” arc of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles continues with “April Gets in Dutch”. This is the final episode of the series credited to Misty Taggart.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Today we’re in the Netherlands, where a group of men are seen unloading a large crate. Once they depart, it opens to reveal the Turtle Van. The Turtles have been stowed inside with their vehicle, at the suggestion of Raphael as a low-cost way of reaching their next stop. Wait, wasn’t this supposed to be an all-expenses-paid vacation, with Greasy Eddie’s European Pizza footing the bill? I’m starting to think at some point the team abandoned the original itinerary altogether and have spent months just wandering the continent on their own dime. The green teens are now going on a "Dutch vacation" with April and Irma, who are seen together at a tulip stand. Irma has purchased a pair of wooden shoes, which seems like a minor detail now, but it'll become important later. April greets Donatello via Turtlecom, before informing him that her next assignment will involve covering an event at the Amsterdam Diamond Market, where the Duchess Diamond will be on-show for the first time in half a century, the largest and "most perfect" such gem in the world.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the Technodrome, Krang has also become aware of the Duchess Diamond, explaining to Shredder that he requires it to complete his "laser dimension blade". With it, the blade's laser will be intensified, allowing for the easy opening of a dimensional rift to Earth. Shreds points out that this still doesn't resolve the issue of the Technodrome having no power but is told that the blade's power will magnetically pull the fortress through the dimensional rift. Surely not having any power will leave the Technodrome a sitting duck once it IS through, however? In any event, Shredder heads off with Rocksteady and Bebop to carry out the mission.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Turtles are wearing the same vacation threads they sported in Dublin as Michaelangelo complains about having gone for an extended period without eating pizza. They happen to spot Shredder and The Boys arrive via dimensional portal, all three dropping into a large net at the harbour containing a shipment of fish. Leonardo remarks that the villains aren't just there for the halibut, and the other Turtles are stunned to hear him crack a joke. The team disrobe before confronting their enemies. Rocksteady and Bebop are both tossed into the water, and while the Turtles are willing to throw them a line, it becomes a moot point as Shredder steals a speedboat, pulling his henchmen aboard before escaping.
Tumblr media
We transition next to a cheese factory, where a pair of new villains are introduced, security guards Spats and Dag, who despite their names and presumably being intended to be Dutchmen both have broad American accents. The pair discuss their plans to swap out the Duchess Diamond for a forgery, taking the real one for themselves and escaping to live a life of luxury.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Later, at the Diamond Market, April and Irma admire the real Duchess Diamond while Spats and Dag are seen planning to turn off the lights to make the switch. Also attending are our regular villains, who wear disguises to infiltrate the event. This means that for the second episode in a row, it's time for a...
Tumblr media
BEBOP AND ROCKSTEADY (AND SHREDDER) WARDROBE UPDATE: Today our favourite henchmen wear white collared shirts with rolled-up sleeves, red trousers with suspenders and beige hats. Shredder is in a tan suit with matching fedora, black shirt, red tie and... his mask, minus the rest of his usual helmet get-up. This strikes me as an odd decision given that by now, he's surely far more recognisable even overseas as Shredder, that guy who's always trying to take over the world; if anything, losing the mask (as he did while visiting Florida in "Invasion of the Punk Frogs") would allow him to attract far less attention.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shreds issues instructions to his men on how to go about snatching the diamond as the Turtles arrive through a floor hatch, notably not having bothered to bring disguises. They spot their old foes moments before the lights go out, with Spats and Dag performing the heist as planned. Shredder remains unaware of this, and carries out his own theft, making off with the fake diamond. On the way out, he shoves April, who despite the trademark mask she apparently doesn’t recognise. Act one ends with the assembled crowd discovering the diamond is gone.
Tumblr media
Bebop was tasked earlier with securing a "getaway vehicle", but Shredder is less than impressed upon seeing what it is: a three-person bicycle. The masked villain rides up front, with his henchmen sitting behind. The mutant warthog explains that this was all he could afford, as his "Mutant Express" card was maxed out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The theft of the bogus diamond was an unexpected complication for Spats and Dag; to avoid being caught, they covertly place the real diamond in April’s purse, and wait outside to retrieve it from her. This plan, too, reaches an obstacle as April is accused by an older lady of being in on the jewel theft and faces being detained by the police. The Turtles step in to save their friend, pulling April along with Irma away from the officers and down into the sewers. Spats and Dag watch the police head down into the sewers and assume April must have fled. They head into a small speedboat, intent on finding the reporter first.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Donatello has somehow determined Shredder’s entire plan, down to the last detail. He informs the team that if the villains are using a dimensional laser, he can track this from the Turtle Van. Meanwhile, Shredder leaves The Boys to pedal uphill as he reaches Krang via com-link. The alien brain tells him the laser blade device has been teleported to a nearby deserted windmill.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Our heroes continue their journey through the sewers until they see Spats and Dag approaching in their speedboat. The two men capture April, but Michaelangelo comes up with a makeshift solution, borrowing Irma’s wooden shoes and using his grappling hook to hitch a ride behind the boat. This only works for a short time, as the line is cut by the villains, sending Mikey flying. (I’m sure Irma will be glad to get her shoes back at least – the implication is that she must have been left standing around in the sewer water in her socks.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Turtles return to their van with Irma, having now correctly deduced that Spats and Dag captured April to secure the real diamond, and that the one in Shredder’s possession is a forgery. They set about trying to use the tracking equipment aboard the van to locate the signal from April’s Turtlecom. Meanwhile, Spats and Dag reclaim the real diamond and announce their intention to place April in the closed cheese factory from which they initially hatched their scheme, informing the reporter that she should forget about the Turtles rescuing her as she'll soon "be over [her] head - in cheese!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The laser dimension blade turns out to be a literal saw blade mounted atop a machine that also features a viewscreen on which Krang calls in. He provides Shredder and the mutants with instructions on how to affix the diamond and gushes about his excitement at bringing the Technodrome back to Earth. Everything appears to be going to plan until the fake jewel explodes. Krang tasks Shredder with finding the real diamond, adding that if he fails to do so "both Earth and the Technodrome will be destroyed".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In the Turtle Van, the team experience tremors from the nearby site of the windmill. Yet again Donnie is instantly able to deduce what's going on, figuring that Shredder must have tried activating the laser dimension blade with a fake diamond. He explains to the other Turtles that if they don't find the machine and send out a correcting beam, both dimensions could soon be shattered.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Back in the factory, April is tied to a creaking wooden beam that begins breaking away due to the ongoing tremors. A vat of hot cheese waits beneath her as we reach the conclusion of act two. April activates her Turtlecom, but it slips out of her hands and into the vat. Fortunately, the team are still able to track the signal, arriving at the cheese factory at the same time as Shredder. The villains crash their bike into the wall of the building, leaving it in ruins. After finding their bearings they notice that the Turtle Van is nearby and plan to strike.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A battle unfolds in the cheese factory, with balls of the food pelted by the bad guys at the Turtles and Irma. Our heroes use their ninja skills to fight off Bebop and Rocksteady, sending them fleeing from the premises. Spats and Dag are still nearby, and watch as the Turtles split up, with Mikey joining Irma in rescuing April while Leonardo and Donatello head off to confront Shredder.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I guess Rocksteady and Bebop came back, as Shredder has them go after Spats and Dag to obtain the Duchess Diamond. The Turtles in turn intercept the diamond. Raphael is cornered by Rocksteady and Bebop atop another vat, with both of Shredder's henchmen falling into the cheese. Having watched the action unfold, Spats and Dag finally decide all of this is too much and make their exit.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shredder drops a giant hoop of cheese atop the Turtles, swooping in to retrieve the diamond. Bebop and Rocksteady send the enormous dairy trap rolling, and then... we abruptly cut to the Turtles driving in their van. (Remember in the last Turtlethon entry when I brought up the shoddy editing in these European vacation shows?) Having managed to recover, the team find themselves back on the trail of Shredder.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
In Dimension X, Krang urges Shredder to act quickly, as the earlier attempt to activate the fake diamond is continuing to have repercussions, the ground crumbling around the Technodrome. The Turtles arrive to confront the villains, getting into a brawl with Shredder that leaves him clinging to the windmill. Michaelangelo winds up pursuing the masked villain, with both being sent spinning. Back inside, Donatello corrects the dimensional beam. Having saved the day, the Turtles retrieve the diamond, leaving with April and Irma. One last surprise awaits Shredder and his men, as Donatello's changes lead to the windmill being pulled back into Dimension X, instead of the Technodrome being pulled to Earth; we then see it spinning through the familiar red sky above the asteroid before drilling through the exterior of Krang's fortress.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Turtles, April and Irma all reconvene and begin planning to enjoy their vacation as originally planned. Michaelangelo laments that he's still pizza-less before being presented by April with a delivery from the nearby "Wooden Shoe Pizzeria".
“April Gets in Dutch” reminds me of Shredder's remarks to Krang that he couldn't be expected to go chasing after every "silly bauble" back in "Four Musketurtles". Much like in that episode, and countless others before and after it, here we have the Turtles and Shreds jostling for control of yet another jewel. There's a modicum of novelty in this fight taking place in Amsterdam, as well as in the inclusion of Spats and Dag as an additional party seeking to gain the diamond for their own ends. I do have some quibbles about the way these guys are used, as I imagine they were intended to sound like locals instead of Americans, something presumably abandoned during the production process. More perplexingly, the show ends with them just... leaving, never facing any repercussions for their actions. Given the ongoing editing issues, I wonder if their come-uppance was left on the cutting room floor.
Misty Taggart - credited as Susan Stewart-Taggart elsewhere - exits the show here, having gifted us perhaps the most creatively diverse set of adventures of any of the TMNT writers. More than any other contributor we've seen her get to grips with the source material in real-time, her first few stories to air ("Turtles of the Jungle", "Four Turtles and a Baby") dragged down by being handled by the MW Dublin animation studio, while later offerings such as "Leonardo Versus Tempestra" and "Pirate Radio" rank among my favourites from the middle years of the series. You might notice a pattern developing here, as this is the second episode in a row that's marked the departure of one of the usual rotation of supporting writers; with the European vacation arc winding down shortly, David Wise will be handling the bulk of the rest of the series up to the end of season nine, alongside occasional contributions from Jack Mendelsohn. Before we get into that stretch the Turtles still have two more overseas adventures to go, the next one being "Northern Lights Out".

Brock Rumlow led the Savage Crims gang on New York City's Lower East Side, during which time, he assaulted fifteen-year-old Rachel Leighton and fought Rachel's two brothers, killing the elder brother. Rumlow fled, entering Taskmaster's school for criminals, within three years becoming an instructor under the name Bingo Brock.[2]
As a mercenary, Rumlow enlisted with Albert Malik, the communist Red Skull, in Algeria, serving the Red Skull under the name Frag until he was sent to invade Arnim Zola's Switzerland chateau; Rumlow was ultimately the only team member to survive the assault. There, he also met and impressed, Johann Schmidt, the original Nazi Red Skull, who accepted Brock's services and code-named him as "Crossbones".[2]
The true Red Skull sent Crossbones to observe Baron Helmut Zemo's progress acquiring the Bloodstone fragments and to obtain them.[3][4] He stowed aboard Captain America's flagship, and entered Zemo's ship to steal the Bloodstone fragments. He overpowered Diamondback, and shot a crossbow bolt that coupled with Captain America's shield. Crossbones was forced to shatter the Bloodstone fragments when the alien entity known as the Hellfire Helix used it to take control of Baron Heinrich Zemo's body; the destruction of the Bloodstone discorporated the Hellfire Helix.[5] Knowing that his master would be infuriated by the Bloodstone's loss, Crossbones kidnapped Diamondback to Madripoor as bait for Captain America. He challenged Captain America to retrieve Diamondback, but the Captain defeated him, although Diamondback escaped, and the Red Skull ordered Crossbones to desist and return to headquarters.[6] The Red Skull then ordered him to retrieve the Controller after the Controller's breakout from the Vault.[7] With the Machinesmith, Crossbones investigated the Red Skull's disappearance.[8]
Crossbones assembled the Skeleton Crew from the Red Skull's henchmen and led them on a search for the Red Skull, who had been missing since Magneto imprisoned him in an underground bunker.[9] They battled the Black Queen and her Hellfire Club mercenaries.[10] Crossbones enlisted the aid of psychic Tristam Micawber to locate the Red Skull. Upon finding his master, Crossbones took the Red Skull to Skullhouse for convalescence.[11]
He next attended AIM's weapons exposition.[12] He battled Daredevil during a failed assassination attempt against the Kingpin.[13] He battled Bullseye during Bullseye's failed assassination attempt against the Red Skull.[14] He battled Captain America again and was defeated.[15] He later recounts how he met the Red Skull.[16] The Red Skull assigned him to discover who killed the Red Skull's spare clone bodies.[17] Alongside the Skeleton Crew, he battled the Schutzheilligruppe in an attempt to rescue the Red Skull but was captured.[18] He was rescued from the Schutzheilligruppe's custody by Arnim Zola's fake Avengers.[19] Crossbones was eventually fired for questioning the Red Skull's decision to ally himself with the Viper.[20]
Desperate to regain his position as leader of the Skeleton Crew, Crossbones kidnapped Diamondback, imprisoning in an abandoned subway station and forced into a brutal regime of combat training.[volume & issue needed] Crossbones believed that he had brainwashed Diamondback into betraying Captain America, but Diamondback was actually laying a trap for Crossbones.[volume & issue needed] Diamondback stole samples of Captain America's blood from the Avengers' mansion, then accompanied Crossbones to the Red Skull's mountain fortress.[volume & issue needed] The two were captured and imprisoned, and the Red Skull rehired Crossbones on a temporary basis.[volume & issue needed] He was later attacked by Cutthroat, the Skeleton Crew's new leader, who feared that Crossbones will try to take back his position as the Red Skull's right-hand man.[volume & issue needed] Crossbones killed Cutthroat, never realizing that Cutthroat was actually Diamondback's older brother.[volume & issue needed] Crossbones later stabbed Diamondback during Diamondback's escape attempt, only to later save with a blood transfusion in order to use as bait.[volume & issue needed] He was critically wounded by flying shrapnel during an assault on the fortress by Captain America and the Falcon, and imprisoned.[volume & issue needed]
Imprisoned in the Raft when Electro breaks the inmates out, Crossbones was seen fighting Captain America and Spider-Man. Spider-Man kicked Crossbones in the face, knocking him out.[21]
After he escaped from prison, Crossbones became a mercenary and assassin for a number of organizations, until he was rehired by the Red Skull who was later apparently assassinated by the Winter Soldier.[volume & issue needed] Crossbones and his new lover, Synthia Schmidt (the Red Skull's daughter), began hunting Aleksander Lukin, the Winter Soldier's commander.[volume & issue needed] They plotted to crash a stolen World War II era plane into the new Kronas Headquarters in London, only to have their plane destroyed by the Red Skull's Sleeper robot.[volume & issue needed] While they escape the destruction of the plane, they found Agent 13, and are about to kill Sharon Carter, only to be stopped by the Red Skull's appearance.[volume & issue needed] They begin working with Red Skull/Lukin whose minds both share Lukin's body.[volume & issue needed]

In Fallen Son: The Death of Captain America, Wolverine, along with Daredevil and Doctor Strange, broke into S.H.I.E.L.D. to interrogate Crossbones and threatened to kill him. Crossbones revealed no knowledge of his hiring by the Red Skull. Wolverine left him a bloody mess on the floor after being convinced by Daredevil to spare his life.[22]
S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Tony Stark arranged for Professor X to scan Crossbones' mind for information, but Professor X found that someone had erased several parts of his memory in order to prevent such a scan.[volume & issue needed] Sin and a new incarnation of the Serpent Squad have broken Crossbones free of S.H.I.E.L.D. custody.[volume & issue needed] They then capture the Winter Soldier when confronting Lukin to find out a relationship with the Red Skull.[volume & issue needed]

At the start of the Heroic Age event, Crossbones has become a member of the new Thunderbolts team formed in the aftermath of Siege.[23] Government agents, working with Luke Cage, add Crossbones to the team knowing that he cannot be reformed, hoping that his extreme methods will alienate the other Thunderbolt members and push them towards rehabilitation.[24] During the team's first mission, Crossbones was exposed to corrupted Terrigen Mists;[25] during the events of Shadowland, Crossbones manifested the ability to fire a powerful, piercing beam of energy from his face, theorizing that this ability originates from his exposure to the Terrigen mists. He uses this ability to murder a police officer.[26] Fearing that the Thunderbolts are close to being disbanded following Cage's decision to leave, Crossbones attempted to escape alongside Ghost and Juggernaut. During the attempt, Crossbones used his new ability to fight the unsuspecting Steve Rogers. Crossbones was defeated and discharged from the Thunderbolts, after Ghost revealed his murder of the police officer.[27] Crossbones is shown incarcerated in a padded cell wearing a straitjacket, apparently no longer able to use his energy beam.[28]
During the Fear Itself storyline, Crossbones was constantly harassed while he was behind bars, because he was both a former Thunderbolt member and a neo-nazi. Shortly after when he was being beaten up by more thugs, Juggernaut unintentionally causes a break out in the prison facility called the Raft. Man Mountain Mario (the cousin of Man Mountain Marko) helps defend Crossbones from the thugs. While the two of them were trying to escape, Mario told Crossbones about his grandma who helps criminals leave the border. Crossbones manages to escape and returns the favor by killing Mario to help with his escape.[29] He confronts some of the former Avengers Initiative members in New Jersey after he escapes the Raft. He fights Gravity, Frog-Man, Geiger, Scarlet Spiders, and Firestar. When he's surrounded, he tosses a grenade at Gravity but Geiger catches it and is seriously injured, creating an easy distraction for him to escape.[30]
During the Ends of the Earth storyline, Crossbones was seen in one of Doctor Octopus' facilities. Sabra fights past some Octobots until Crossbones shoots Sabra.[31]
Crossbones later appears as a member of HYDRA who are planning to spread poisonous blood extracted from an Inhuman boy named Lucas. He fights Sam Wilson as the new Captain America on Bagalia. Just as he was about to kill Wilson, he is defeated by Misty Knight who was undercover at that moment.[32] He is later defeated by Wilson when he attacks a HYDRA base located on Florida.[33]
During the Avengers: Standoff! storyline, Crossbones was an inmate of Pleasant Hill, a gated community established by S.H.I.E.L.D. When Steve Rogers was at the Pleasant Hill Bowling Alley trying to reason with Kobik, Crossbones attacks Rogers. Before Crossbones can kill Rogers, Kobik's powers de-age Rogers back to physical prime, which allows the Captain to defeat Crossbones.[34] In the aftermath of the events at Pleasant Hill, Crossbones founds a new version of HYDRA with the Red Skull and Sin.[35]
During the Secret Empire storyline, Crossbones appears as a member of the Army of Evil and took part in the attack on Manhattan in retaliation for what happened at Pleasant Hill.[36] Crossbones and Sin are shown to be in charge of a super-prison that was established by Hydra. Their super-prison was raided by the Underground in their mission to free their captive friends.[37]
