I think you deserve a fun question. What tips would you give to someone looking to make a fictional wolf/canid species/subspecies

Okay, so I originally wrote up an in depth answer to this because ho BOY was it fun to talk about, but Tumblr is rude and deleted it so here’s what I’m able to salvage:

First, take inspiration from real life animals! This helps not only by gathering information, but also generating new ideas, and creating a good base to work up from when creating. One of my fictional lycan subspecies is based of the British Columbian wolf, and they share certain aspects with their real life counterparts. Of course you can make the fictional species as similar as you want to the real animal, or you can just use it as a base line of info or inspiration!

This kinda ties into the last one, but seeing how animals irl work can help. For example, we know different subspecies usually live in different areas right? We also know that this usually means things like coat color, how they hunt, anatomy, etc. will change! You won’t catch a tundra wolf looking anywhere like an Arabian wolf, with the lanky body of one subspecies to the fluffy fur of another. I personally pay attention to how the physical characteristics of certain subspecies differ, then I incorporate that into the animals in my books. Aaaaaaand things like behavior are really handy to know as well!

Also, getting inspiration from others can help you figure out way more than you would on your own. This is kinda a given with many creative processes, but observing others can make a big impact.

And lastly, as cheesy as it sounds, have fun! You wanna create a subspecies with an extra limb in the middle of their face? You go do that. Just remember, it’s fiction!

Just wanted you to know, I've never really found myself attracted to asian men, but after seeing so many kinnporsche posts and Mile & Apo on my dash from you, I've started to see the appeal 😍 so much so that last night I had a dream I was going to see one of their shows in my country, and I got to go up on stage and dance with them, and Mile was so handsome and I woke up with butterflies in my stomach and immediately googled pictures of him 🤣 he is a very beautiful man 🤍

Comparing Mechs fans spotify wrapped with others shows us scientifically that we're something else

A friend of mine is in the top 0.05% of Sleeping At Last (almost 8mio monthly listeners) with 7.4k minutes

I'm just in the top 0.5% of the Mechanisms (36k monthly listeners) with 9.3k minutes

This means that you needed less minutes to be a way higher listener of an artist with 205 times as many listeners.

So there aren't many of us, but I can almost guarantee that not a single one of us is even remotely normal.

hiiii !! it’s no bother at all thank u for asking ! i import a drawing paper texture and use a soft overlay layer at a low opacity :)!

this is the exact texture i use if ur interested ! but u can find any drawing paper online w a quick image search (i just recommend increasing the contrast so the texture comes through)

and u can also add fun textures with any pattern or material too ! just be mindful that it can change your colors slightly

I would like to impart a small hc onto you; the museum is a small, isolated patch of heaven that although V1 can access, they are not entirely sure it's real.

oooooh this is lovely anon....i adore the vaporwave aesthetics of the museum, and so it makes me think of like. this is the form heaven takes when v1 is present in it, something in it digitizing and becoming suitable for a creature sentient but so far from human. v1 is made curious, not just by the surroundings, but by the almost sedative quality to it - the grounds offer plentiful exploration, something to pique its curious mind, but entirely ignore its destructive qualities. there is so much to look for, a little scavenger hunt, and it sees things, so many things, it recognizes in new and interesting ways. it is. calm here. v1, removed from war. no one is here, except for a little cat that appears without it ever seeing it come. v1 doesn't know if it's real. it never stays too long, reality beginning to melt in a much more tangible way than hell, and it can't seem to find it when it tries to show it to gabriel. he just says there is no such place - v1 thinks to take screenshots next time, but they're all black when it tries to share them. gabriel's a bit concerned at this point, but v1 can tell him it's maybe just something he can't do. only v1. unless it can one day manage to drag v2 there.

K - What character has your favorite development arc/the best development arc?

-> you know i gotta say wiwi. i have to. that character was Made For Me i swear to GOD . genuinely i cannot think about prime defenders season 2 episode 39 without feeling physically sick bc i love it so much. its the only one i havent relistened to since i heard it the first time. i KNOW its gonna make me cry again so i genuienly have not touched it even though theres things in there i need to hear again for character research. his arc is so like. narratively satisfying in a way that hits me so fucking deep to my core in an extremely personal way. and like. there were definitely some Decisions that i was REALLY ANNOYING about hating when they were brought up because im used to media with bad storytelling/creators that do not care about their characters but. looking back on it i would not change a single thing about it. i love you wiwi so much.

you. individual with masters degree on astrophysics. what are your thoughts on Christopher Nolan's hit film Interstellar

I liked it!! I'm always a slut for sci fi movies that have slow wide shots of space and futuristic/alien looking planets and ships (Blade Runner, Arrival and Dune come to mind as well).

The visuals of the black hole were incredible, the fact they created new CGI software just to get the physics behind it right too?? Good shit. Did you know 3 scientific papers were published as a result of this CGI bc it revealed new things abt black holes irl? We love to see it!!

I actually liked the ending too. We have no clue how it would be like inside a black hole so yeah why couldn't it take you back in time? And inside a bookshelf? Sure it was weird but like, that's the point!!

I alsoo rlly like that the effects were actually done FIRST and they filmed with the effects behind the actors rather than using green screens and adding them after. The TV show 1899 does something similar and I feel it's more effective with the lighting and looks more natural.

Overall, 8/10! I liked it a lot, the music is gorgeous (very important to me) and I would recommend it to others :]
