Short one today boi’s-
Tw: None, just relationship building. WC: less than 1K.
"Hey Dream." George said in a bitter tone as Dream was sharpening his needle on top of the shelf where the borrower had first pranked George. "Heeey Geoorrge, your stomach okay?" He asked in a mocking tone ."It's better now,” George responded back, lying down on his bed, head tilted toward the shelf. "Hey Dream, you alright?" George asked the hooded borrower who seemed a bit upset.
"Yeah, just, thinking about who Sapnap might have called..." George smirked slightly, "Well whoever it is, I'm certain that they'll probably be no match for you, if someone like me couldn't get you, there's no way anyone else could." Where had that come from? Had they really grown a bit close enough for this type of bant- His train of thought was cut off by Dream's laugh, but it was different somehow. Less maniacal like it usually was whenever George heard it, this felt genuine.
Dream had laughed at George's encouraging attempt, it reminded him a lot of how people at The Academy heralded his as; And it was kinda funny to see a Human appreciate his skill like that. "Do you really think that?" Dream asked, "Well, yeah. I mean you are a really troublesome guy Dream." Dream smirked, "By the way, don't herald yourself so much at your borrower catching skills, I believe that you are instead rather skilled at Hide and Go Seek." George's face was perplexed for only a moment or so before turning to friendly annoyance, “Oh ha ha, Not Found, I get it.” Dream laughed again, what was up with him today?
“Dream, do you think that, under different circumstances, could we be, friends?” George asked, taking on a more serious tone. Dream pondered that thought, rolling it around in his head. “Yeah, I believe that it’d be possible, I mean, in a potentially infinite multiverse, anything’s possible.” George nodded. “What color is your hoodie really?” “Green.” “Why do you wear a mask?”
Dream smirked, he liked recounting this story. “Well, at the place where I learned my craft, I had to defend it from this massive dog…” George smirked while he told his tale, “Yeah, I bet that dog was massive.” Dream smiled a bit at his playful teasing, he was actually… no. “Then once I went ahead and beat on it, it ran away. But not without giving me this massive scar and generally messed up face that’s underneath the mask now.”
“Well that sounds like it was very cool,” George said after Dream finished, “Yeah, it was, except for the scar part of course. But now I’ve got to go to bed and think about what I’ll do about whoever is coming tomorrow.” This brought George back to reality, that he and Dream were enemies. As Dream left the room and into the walls, George’s mind got to thinking. There is an old guy full of wisdom who works at the Orphanage and the coffee shop near it, maybe he could ask, Phil he thinks is the name? These were George’s last thoughts drifted away into restful sleep, he hoped he’d have that dream again with that cool guy…
