Someone pointed out that Keller's style didn't fit, so I redid it. At this point in the week I had a bunch of people sending me ideas for their personalities, specialties, stories, etc. I had no intention of creating any story with these guys, but a TON of "lore" has already evolved.
Unsurprisingly Kipp has the most, he's apparently non-verbal and hangs out with Morgan, who likes his company because he's quiet. Kipp is also extremely farsighted in such a way that he can't see anything up close without glasses but has perfect clarity at extreme distances.
Kipp is also picked on by people outside of the unit because of his size, but or some reason he doesn't know how to emotionally or socially process it, so it confuses him and his friends end up looking out for him.

My fake title to you (from a country song I heard as a child bc YES I am a meme): Heaven help the fool who did her wrong
Sunniva used to know what divinity felt like - too much power, put in the walking body of a woman who had yoked herself into responsibility. A village looked to her, just like Kipp would eventually. A beacon of light, love and comfort.
Just the same, Sunniva knew divine wrath. And it burned, as well as stank, like a lightning strike.
A snapshot fic of sorts, going from the beginning - when things seemed simpler - through their various turmoils, until finally we end up where Sunniva agrees to help Kipp work towards being a better person. We see them fall in love, though Kipp doesn't quite know what a lifesaver looks like until they've already sunk into the ocean. We see them hurt each other, but all's fair in love and war. We see them find somewhere to heal, and they manage to make a sort divine love through it all.
Sunniva used to know what a sort of divinity felt like, but now she knows a different taste of it. And it tastes like gunpowder, whiskey and a sweat earned through working towards a different future.
