You know what would be interesting? 

A sad deconstruction of the Autobot Ally... 

A person who befriended the Autobots as a child or teenager and got involved in their war... 

Unlike the other kid allies, this person had lost human loved ones from the war (as well as Autobot loved ones)... 

This Ally had seen things that would make them have PTSD and probably other mental health issues in the future... 

And when the Ally become an adult, they’re a bitter, cold and stoic warrior (that secretly resents Optimus for letting an innocent kid get involved in their alien space war AND for not killing Megatron yet)...  

They’re also smart, skilled and have powerful weapons/armor! 

So, when the Bitter Autobot Ally meets other Autobot Allies that are still happy kids... they get angry at the Autobots for STILL letting this happen, instead of leaving the kids alone (or finding a way to erase their memories MIB style) and they might also get angry at some of the kids that think being part of the war is awesome... the Bitter Ally doesn’t want to see these kids ruin their lives, like they did with their own, so they try the ‘cruel to be kind’ thing with mixed results... 

Bitter Ally: You don't belong here with the Autobots. You're all a disgrace to true warriors, and if you have any respect for who we are and what we do, you will be gone by morning... 

Bitter Ally: I loved my family like I had never loved anyone before... or since... And now, I have a chance to make things right. To finally defeat the Decepticons. And I’m stuck with you. A bunch of arrogant, spoiled brats who treats this war like it’s a joke... 

Bitter Ally: You think you want this, but you don't! Not like this... Don't throw away your childhoods for the Autobots. Don't let their war POISON your lives the way it did with mine. You’re all going to finish school and get jobs. You'll meet people, good people and you'll have a family, but please believe me, you don't want this. Please, kids, you have to believe me. Please, don't do what I did...

Transformers - Resumo

Esses guerreiros vêm de um planeta chamado Cybertron e se transformam em veículos. Eles se dividem em duas facções, os Autobots, defensores da justiça e liberdade, liderados por Optimus Prime, e os Decepticons, promotores da tirania e da opressão, liderados por Megatron. Transformers surgiu na década de 1980, cujos action figures são derivados de uma linha de brinquedos de uma empresa japonesa chamada Takara. Transformers recebeu adaptação para a televisão em 1984. Em 1996, foi apresentada a série Beast Wars, animada em CGI pela Mainframe Entertainment. Os eventos de Beast Wars ocorrem em uma época não especificada, onde duas facções guerreiras de robôs caíram em um planeta estranho habitado por animais como os da Terra. Devido a crise com a radiação de Energon, os Transformers recém-chegados são forçados a assumir formas bestiais para se proteger. Beast Wars teve 52 episódios, divididos em três temporadas. Em 1999, veio a continuação, Beast Machines. Nessa continuação, Optimus Primal e cia. retornam para Cybertron, mas eles fazem, uma terrível descoberta: o planeta inteiro estava abandonado, e as ruas eram patrulhadas por Vehicons irracionais, controlados por um lorde sombrio. Pior ainda, eles descobriram que foram infectados por um vírus que os mataria em pouco tempo, e a cura veio por intermédio de um supercomputador autônomo, que os reformata como seres tecnorgânicos, mistura de robóticos com tecido orgânico.  

Em 2000, estreou no Japão, Transformers: Car Robots, uma série de anime que ficou conhecida como Transformers: Robots in Disguise, nos EUA e Transformers: A Nova Geração, no Brasil. Nesta adaptação, Optimus Prime(Fire Convoy) faz amizade com um humano chamado Koji Onishi, enquanto lida com as investidas do líder Predacon, Megatron(Gigatron), que quer dominar a Terra. Optimus e os Autobots lutam para defender a humanidade, enquanto digladiam com Megatron e os Predacons, e mais tarde, os Decepticons, liderados pelo temido Scourge(Black Convoy). 

Falando em Scourge, ele é o lado sombrio de Optimus. Ele não leva o nome Nemesis Prime, como fazem outras encarnações sombrias de Optimus Prime. Em outras palavras, Scourge surgiu a partir de um esquema sinistro orquestrado por Megatron, envolvendo a captura de protoformas Autobots, então ele os converteu para o mal, usando a própria energia sinistra dele, e assim surgiram os Decepticons, que provaram ter muito mais serventia para Megatron do que os Predacons, grupo do qual Sky-Byte(Gelshark), um tubarão, é um grande integrante. Um desses Decepticons era Scourge, que foi gerado a partir do escaneamento de Optimus Prime e um caminhão no qual estava uma mulher. Para simplificar, Scourge é inteiramente maligno e irredimível, servindo inquestionavelmente ao comandante máximo dele, Megatron, juntamente com os Decepticons, na missão para dominar o Planeta Terra, e tem uma rivalidade com Optimus. 

Ultra Magnus(God Magnus) é o irmão de Optimus Prime. No entanto, diferente de sua contraparte original, do Transformers G1, que é um soldado nobre, honrado e altruístico, o Ultra Magnus da série Car Robots é revoltado, arrogante e egoísta. Para resumir, ambos Optimus Prime e Ultra Magnus foram desenvolvidos por Alpha Trion. Ambos Prime e Magnus se destacaram durante a Guerra Civil Cybertroniana, presumivelmente contra os Predacons. Quando Vector Sigma capacitou Optimus Prime para herdar a Matriz da Liderança Autobot, e ser o comandante supremo dos Autobots, Ultra Magnus ficou muito furioso, ele achou que havia sido enganado e traído por Vector Sigma, então se afastou de Cybertron e se isolou por anos. Magnus desenvolveu uma antipatia, ou melhor, um ressentimento geral pelo irmão dele, Prime, e pelos Autobots em geral, atuando mais como um lobo solitário. Segundo Magnus, era ele quem deveria ter recebido a Matriz da Liderança Autobot e ter sido o líder Autobot, e não um paspalho como Optimus.

No entanto, apesar do senso de contragosto que Magnus sente por Optimus, eles unem forças em certas ocasiões, para se fundir em um massivo Autobot de grande sabedoria e poder, denominado Omega Prime(God Convoy), durante a crise com Megatron(posteriormente Galvatron), os Decepticons, liderados por Scourge, e os Predacons. 

No ano de 2002, foi criada a trilogia Unicron, sendo que a primeira grande iteração foi Transformers Armada(超ロボット生命体トランスフォーマー マイクロン伝説 Chō Robot Seimeitai Transformers Micron Densetsu), foi elaborada no formato anime, em parceria entre a Hasbro e a Takara. Como o quadrinho da Dreamwave, o desenho apresenta os Autobots e Decepticons procurando por Mini-Cons escondidos em todo o planeta Terra com a ajuda de três jovens humanos Rad, Carlos e Alexis - embora os Mini-Cons dessa continuidade não tenham a capacidade de falar e se comunicar. apenas através de bips e bloops eletrônicos. Ao contrário dos quadrinhos da Dreamwave, no entanto, o desenho ofereceu uma origem distintamente sinistra para esses minúsculos Transformers: no final da série, os heróis descobriram que os Mini-Cons eram filhos do próprio Unicron, formas de vida artificiais sintetizadas para deliberadamente alimentar conflitos entre as duas facções e sustentam o devorador de planetas com seu ódio. Optimus Prime e um pequeno grupo de Autobots são enviados para diversos mundos em busca do Omega Lock e das quatro Cyber Planet Keys. Sabendo disso, Megatron(Que posteriormente é reformatado para Galvatron), se torna obsessivo por poder supremo e divindade, e decide que ele mesmo vai obter poder maior do Omega Lock e das quatro chaves cybertronianas, nem que pra isso tenha que derrubar qualquer um que se atreva a ficar no caminho dele. No planeta Terra, Optimus e cia. fazem amizade com um grupo de humanos, enquanto que os protegem das investidas covardes perpetradas por Megatron e cia., ou seja no meio da batalha entre os Autobots e os Decepticons, a segurança dos humanos e de todo o planeta Terra está em jogo. 

Vale ressaltar esse trio de Autobots heroísticos super-marombados: Hot Shot(meio), Scattershot(lado esquerdo) e Red Alert(lado direito), cada um com suas próprias características especiais...

The real reason why we haven't seen Yuuki/Koji's mother Kiko since episode 1 is that she likely has been working to support both of them financially since his father was abducted by the Predacons.

RID01 thoughts after 10 episodes

PS: I say Robots in Disguise, but I am actually watching the japanese version, which is called Car Robots, (but I still use the english names) Car Robots as a name makes a little bit more sense tbh - they arent robots in disguise, they don’t even try to disguise themselves and a lot of humans know they exist and even know Optimus’ name 🤔

Anyway: - I like Oppy here! Got a lot of FIRE ~ And nice interactions with the villains :D Loved the scene in which he said Sky-Bite’s poetry isn’t interesting - Love the car robot bros - their dynamics as siblings are nice and I feel for Prowl :^) Poor middle child with idiot brothers - the heroes overall are at least more interesting and fun to watch than Beast Wars II heroes. The good guys in BWII were rather flat and didn’t really have any dynamics with each other (Apart from Lio Convoy and Lio Junior. And the Jointrons, they were actually nice too) - Sky-Bite is babe - Megatron could be a more active in my opinion, most episodes he doesnt do anything besides telling his minions to do the thing they gonna do. Also so far he hasn’t really shown much force of personality or any kind of motivation. He also a little dumb, but it’s okay, the show is dumb too - Yet another show in which Mirage gets accused of being a traitor, nice ~ - Best thing about Koji is that in most episodes he appears in maybe 30% of the screentime - he is involved, but doesn’t do much, that way he aint annoying to me ~ - The Kelly gag never gets old
