finally playing the FMV crime thriller choice-game Late Shift and it's fun but also it is completely fucking bonkers like it does not know what the word pacing means bc we are just fucking running through plot points and like i get that you know, it's not going to be a movie or whatever, to let everything breathe but like my god, guys, you could have just picked a lower stakes plot like you clearly did not have like a huge budget as far as like you know set piece or spectacle or whatever and you know i wouldn't want that from an FMV game anyway but like my god it's just so much. like it does not surprise me to know that the person that wrote and directed this also wrote the first RDJ Sherlock Holmes movie because like yeah this feels like a lower stake version of that Sherlock Holmes movie but like in a bad way.

Jisung groaned for the umpteenth time, and he scrolled through his Instagram in the back seat of a cab. He just got off work and he really didn’t feel like being alone. Going to his contact he quickly called his friend y/n to see if she wanted to hang out. The phone rang three times before y/n answered in a groggy voice.

“Jisung? A-are you okay? What’s wrong?”

“I’m fine! What are you up to?”

On the other line, y/n stared at the phone in her hands to check the time and sighed, “It’s 2am…I’m sleeping.”

Jisung rolled his eyes at the answer. “I don’t care if it’s 2am. I’m lonely, come watch a movie.”

“Ji-”

“Better yet, I’ll come to you! Do you want me to grab snacks?”

Managed to see something motivate my coworker yesterday to work faster, just because he got excited over these two girls that came through saying they were going to the gym later.

...his motivation was quite literally ass. I got to hear about it for the last hour if my shift as he yelled about it continuously.

I don’t know if I ever told this story on here but apparently when my mom was back in college one of her final exams was scheduled for the evening of the mash finale and a bunch of students complained and threw a fit until finally the professor was like “show of hands: how many of you are planning on skipping my exam to go watch mash?” And like a good 80% raised their hands and the prof was like “…and what if that meant you failed the entire course?” And apparently only a few students put their hands down so the guy had to reschedule the exam. Moral of the story: there’s power in numbers and also mash was and forever will be more important than statistical analysis

...someone wishes me a nice evening when I'm just starting my late shift...

...a car drives through the puddle when I'm sitting next to it on my bike...

...realize in the evening that there's no more beer in the house when I really need one (or more)...

...Face ID doesn't work because I'm wearing the wrong glasses or my hair is too messy...

...the train isn't late on the very day I'm only ten seconds later than usual at the station...

...that the numbers of my date of birth won the lottery that I didn't take part in...

...some stupid online algorithm assigns me advertising that I urgently need to lose weight...

...I read in the newspaper on Mondays what I missed at the weekend...

...then I don't know what I'm doing either.
