I love how we’re Dr.kry gardening because I would actually love that so much 😔 well he let us read romantic books or only informational
i have a little hard time understanding that firs sentence, i'm sorry
it has been said before that darling is allowed to read any books that aren't horror or angst. romance books are fine. however, i think that he would prefer books like:
great gatsby - f. scott fitzgerald
a series of unfortunate events - lemony snicket (angsty and scary in a childrens type of way so it wouldn't be against his wishes)
we have always lived in the castle - shirley jackson
the cat's table - micheal ondaatje
i wanted to give examples of factual books but i only own books on ocean liners .... but he'd probably allow that. It'd be cute honestly lol, a little darling rambling about "and by giving it more expansion joints, the ship could move much more freely along the waves" and he'd be like: "oh, no way ..." in a tone trying to be interested.
i don't read romance books so unfortunately i can't tell you which ones he would prefer darling to read.
one thing is clear, he would NEVER let darling read a little life

Dear reader, there are people in the world who know no misery and woe. And they take comfort in cheerful films about twittering birds and giggling elves. There are people who know that there’s always a mystery to be solved. And they take comfort in researching and writing down any important evidence. But this story is not about such people. This story is about the Baudelaires. And they are the sort of people who know that there’s always something. Something to invent, something to read, something to bite, and something to do, to make a sanctuary, no matter how small. And for this reason, I am happy to say, the Baudelaires were very fortunate indeed. Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004) dir. Brad Silberling

“At times the world may seem an unfriendly and sinister place, but believe that there is much more good in it than bad. All you have to do is look hard enough, and what might seem to be a series of unfortunate events may in fact be the first steps of a journey.” ― Lemony Snicket

The real lesson of A Series of Unfortunate Events is that there is no worse kind of person than over confident theater people.
