For a couple years now I’ve been feeling burnt out and unmotivated. And I feel like the reasoning for it is that I’m not doing what I truly love to do and my job doesn’t align with what I want to do in life either. My whole life I’ve been a people pleaser and doing what others have wanted of me to the point where I don’t want to do anything any more because it’s not truly what I enjoy doing. I’m trying to break this cycle and get into the things that serve my purpose in life, however the fear of not doing well in those activities and not reaching my full potential is in the back on my mind constantly. But I guess you just have to keep pushing through. I know I will reach my goals, it’s just I’m afraid of how long the journey will be. Embarking on this journey will help me reach my goals but what if I don’t? And it’s the I don’t that’s scaring me because I still have to provide for myself and make money and I’m just worried about if I don’t flourish? I’m afraid of failure in the things I love to do which is why I feel as though I keep playing it safe. Not only that but to have family members not support the things you like to do and the shit you want to achieve is taxing as well because they just are making me out to be a self fulfilling prophecy and see the shit I’m interested in as “hobbies” instead of the career that they want me in. Just tired of not living for myself because I know I’m going to do great things, I just don’t want to let myself down
