Getting Sober;

Getting sober had to be both one of the best things I did and one of the hardest things. I know alcohol is an issue in my family and I told myself I’d never let it control me until I did. When I decided to step away and work on sobriety it was the best decision I made because here I am sober and feeling better. One thing they never tell you is how lonely it can be, once you’re sober you look back and see the damage you really did and it sinks in that you caused it and by doing this damage to your own life you also hurt others in your life. I lost some of the best people in my life both rl and rp and it hurts my heart knowing that I caused all of it. About Christmas time last year I was really bad and decided to make a change. Here I am almost a year later and it’s still rough controlling my anger and anxiety but now instead of alcohol I drink coffee or a soda, still not the best due to sugar but it’s better then a bottle of wine or a mixed drink.

Now time for something I knew would also be hard for me and that’s admitting I was in the wrong. To the amazing friends I used to have, I know no amount of I’m sorry can fix the damage I did, it can’t fix me letting alcohol and dumb people get the better of me & I do know that just saying I’m sorry won’t fix the damage I did while being destructive. I just want everyone to know I know I messed up…worse then ever and I know no one will trust me like before but I also wanna say thank you for that. Thank you for not making excuses for me and thank you for making me see the fucked shit I was on. I love you all for that because it was a real wake up call even if I burned the bridges in the process. I love you all and I miss you all so much.

Danny’s school held a contest where their students would have to write about a member of the Justice League that they admired. They framed it as a normal assignment and then mailed them to the hero. Danny didn’t think anything of his letter until he gets a few letters pop in front of him, apparently if you burn a letter for a ghost the recipient will get it. Danny thinks back to his own letter to Martian Manhunter and he remembers mentioning in his letter that not all ghosts were bad and he wishes they had the same rights as aliens did.

Of course the Justice League shows up to town and Danny is star struck as Martian Manhunter shows up to Danny’s doorstep to ask about his letter.
