hi guys! i’m syd and technically this is my 2nd introductory post rip😂😩

unfortunately, for a long while i was struggling with depression so bad i could barely get myself out of bed, and like a lot of other things during that period, this blog got neglected :// i graduated high school in 2013, and at that point in time i had tried to take some courses while in a Bad state of mind, and i ended up dropping about 6 classes after the deadline, leaving me with a below 2.0 gpa. i had to jump through an insane amount of hoops to prove my mental illness but i genuinely believe i am ready to start fresh!!

i’ve just registered for some new community college classes, and i’m excited to share some of my content with the studyblr / studygram community!

some things about me:

i’m autistic, i have adhd, anxiety and a mood disorder (not dsm specified).

i’m 21 (22 on september 11th!!) years old, and i’m a raging enfp and slytherin. i’m pansexual and grey-aromantic🌈 my sun sign is virgo, but i identify more with my moon sign, aries. i’m very outgoing and bold, and i will talk to literally anybody! i’m very compassionate, and i think that’s my favorite thing about myself ❤️

my goal is to major in journalism and minor in marketing👩‍💻, i want to interview people, and i highly enjoy graphic design, so i would really like to integrate that somehow.

this coming fall i will only be taking 2 courses, so as to not overwhelm myself. i need prove to myself that i can do it, and give myself the confidence to continue!

some of my hobbies include learning, writing (creatively & otherwise), performing (singing, theatre, dancing, being a generic attention whore), and procrastination. i love being outdoors, my idea of peaceful is sitting around a campfire under the desert stars✨🌵⛺️

i am a gigantic nerd: i love pop culture; marvel, dc, star wars, star trek, battlestar: galactica, harry potter, basically all kimds of sci-fi & fantasy. i also adore louis tomlinson, zayn malik and harry styles previously of one direction. i highkey stan little mix as well.

this blog will be posting lots of reblogs, but once my classes start on the 21st, i plan on posting my notes as well as some masterlists and advice!feel free to suggest anything! i also want to make this a kind of safe space for the mentally ill and disabled, and focus on those issues. i will post stimmy stuff occasionally as well.

5/365 I’m trying to make #365davesayear a lot less of an #organizedmess this time around in terms of the order I post my content in. So, expect longer #photoseries of photos that all look pretty similar. A lot of the time I rely on #facialexpressions to add variety to a series. I find it interesting how one person can bring so many different characters to a portrait, and it all it takes is tilt of the head, or a slight furrow in their brow. A million little details come together to form an expression of who we are, and I think we underestimate how easily it is to experiment with this formula. We’re never stuck as ourselves, we are all these #virtuoso human beings who can be anyone we want to be.
