brozone, creek & king trollex with a reader going through a breakdown, overthinking and panicking and how they deal with them.
note ; I somehow(?) accidentally deleted the person's ask for this. I don't remember exactly what they asked word for word. (I'm down on my knees apologizing to you rn, I'm so sorry anon 🙏) so hopefully based on my memory this is at least close to what you asked for. I also hope this headcanon is to your liking.

☆★﹒🎧 ﹐BROZONE
John Dory
erm. well. let's just say when it comes to dealing with other people's emotions, he's not really the best guy to depend on...
BUT considering he spent years by himself (and rhonda) with no other socialization, plus leaving his brothers behind and coming back to them after awhile out of conscious but seeing them nowhere to be found, he definitely felt lonely and HAD his own breakdowns before.
so he'd understand how you're feeling, or at least try to understand.
when he first saw you breaking down, his first instinct was to ask you questions "why are you breaking down?" "did something happen?"
if he doesn't get a reply from you, he'll respect your boundaries and not ask any further questions. he'll just focus on comforting you in the present, awkwardly patting your back and giving you words of affirmation that he thinks would work. like those motivational phrases or quotes online, maybe even those ones that facebook moms use.
if you do give a reply, he'll sit down next to you and hear you out. sipping a drink and lending his ears for you to vent. he'll keep quiet (internally, he's restraining himself from outing his own opinions on whatever you vented to him about).
In summary, he's a listener. If you let him voice his own opinions, he'll tell you his thoughts and views. more often than not, if he does give advice, it's probably best you don't actually follow them. I feel like he's bad at giving advice...
at least, he's got the spirit!
Spruce/Bruce
this troll has a wife and kids. I'm sure he's knowledgeable in comforting someone when they are breaking down or overthinks a lot.
if you're overthinking, he'll support you and keep you company but he's also honest that helps you actually evaluate your overthinking thoughts and not stress too much about them.
once you come to him looking vulnerable, he'll immediately try to soothe you by rubbing your back gently. yk like those back rubs that puts babies to sleep? yeah, he'll do that.
while he rubs your back, he urges you to take a deep breath and let it all out. so you do. unknowingly you ranted and ranted, every little detail spoken word to word. he just has that affect on people.
lets you know that what you're going through is valid.
once you're all done, he'll give you advice to ease you or if you're not looking for advice, he'll just comfort you until you feel better.
Clay
he literally is in a sad book club, he'll have the knowledge about it and how to deal with it. except...he's slightly bad at executing it.
he'll snap you out of overthinking by yelling positive stuff to you, that are actually...effective???
if you rant to him, he'll listen to you attentively and pat your head afterwards. it's just something natural that he does, honestly head pats are soothing ok.
if you're okay with physical touch, he'll caress your face while giving you actually reassuring words. (LIKE. have you SEEN him literally pinching and squishing branch's face when he first met him after 20 years?!) of course, it's effective, combined with his already nice vibe (I feel like he naturally has a healing presence, he's just a sweet little boring cutie)
his method of comforting you naturally makes you feel better. he doesn't have to try hard because just watching his body language and mannerisms are dorky enough that it'll make you smile. he's unknowingly comforting in a silly dorky way. even with how badly he persists to be a very "serious" guy.
he'll definitely give you a big warm hug after everything.
Floyd
he's literally called the sensitive one. out of the brothers, he's definitely the one who understands you the most.
I don't think I even need to explain, you already know how perfect he is with dealing with stuff like that. like the time he talked to veneer about how his sister treats him and how he shouldn't let her be like that to him.
his face is full of worry if he sees you in a vulnerable state.
he literally gives the best hugs, it's canon, I know it's canon.
this emo mf knows exactly the right words to get you out of your vulnerable state for a while (bc the phrases he gives to others are probably what he wants to hear given to him).
he'll be really patient with you and help you with every step along the way even if you're having a hard time changing your bad traits.
he's also attentive at listening, he'll caress your hands with his thumb with a reassuring smile.
he'll be really sweet at tackling your situation and never makes you feel overwhelmed.
will cry with you tbh.
he's kind of helping himself when he helps you, because he's similar in a way.
Branch
branch was quite the panicker himself during the times when bergens ate trolls.
so he'd also know how to help you deal with it because he understands you.
he had to figure it out himself and was mostly alone to deal with his own vulnerability so he's happy to help you.
he'll look calm, composed and collected externally but even he, himself is slightly panicking on the inside. afraid that he'll let you down or he won't be of much help. don't worry though, he has it all put together after a bit.
If you're panicking, he'll help you focus, calm down and ease your hyperventilation.
"concentrate on your breathing, okay?"
once you've calmed down, he'll provide you with reassuring words.
he'll keep you company and stay with you until you feel composed enough to talk about it with him. he'll lend you an ear.
afterwards, he pats you on the shoulder and gives you advice that worked on him before.
━━━━━━━━━━
Creek
as bad as he is, he's literally the best when it comes to relaxation. he has that zen-like wisdom, so he'll calm you down and help you relax if you're panicking or overthinking too much.
just like floyd, he also knows exactly what to say to reassure or cheer someone up.
he'll give you a more positive outlook on whatever happened to you so that you don't overthink it.
tbh his voice itself is enough to calm you down.
he encourages different methods and ways(that he knows of) to you that could help.
King Trollex
this sweet goober offers you all his emotional support.
he feels upset, if you're upset. he's all frowny when he sees you vulnerable.
"can I give you a hug?" ofc he asks for consent.
will hug you tightly (he thinks hugs are a remedy for everything, besides music), quiet sobs are heard as his face is smooshed against your chest. just like bruce, he'll also rub your back soothingly while hugging you.
Intertwines both of your hands and encourages you to put your thoughts into words so that he knows what's going on that head of yours that's overthinking a lot of stuff.
keeps eye contact with you as you rant to him.
"you can get through this." he'll say with his cute smile.
the most he can provide is listening and comfort. he wishes he could help you more.

Ngl ,i love your work, but it rubs me wrong how Peter's discomfort w venom doing sexual things without Peter's consent or knowledge is treated as a joke,or just generally kind of dismissed. Also- I'm autistic and love love love autistic peter parker hc,but the fact he was called 'on the spectrum' soley because he got upset at venom for this and 'couldn't put himself in venoms shoes' also kind of felt really bad.
ough, bless you anon! I really appreciate you vocalising your thoughts and concerns in a really sincere respectful way. I want to respond so you don't feel unheard!
I'd also like to take this chance to say that the actions of one Wade W. Wilson do not reflect the thoughts of the ask-spiderpool moderator. The ask-spiderpool moderator does not condone his words or actions. He is a bad man. The words he's saying are bad.
Deadpool is definitely playing the role of a villain here, and he's kind of intentionally choosing his words with the intention of punishing Peter and invalidating him. He knows what he's doing. And Spider-man knows it too.
Tumblr media
I know it's something a lot of people don't like to see from Wade – but it's a part of his character that I find interesting to explore and to see him eventually overcome. His ability to weaponise everything, and his instinct of self-sabotage. It becomes dangerous territory to write sometimes because people generally want to side with Deadpool and believe he'll do no wrong, but - I don't know, to strip him of all his ugliness would be untrue to him. Similarly with Peter – I guess I'm just really interested in parts of Wade and Peter that you don't really get to see explored in fanon very often.
It's kind of a problem though that yeah - when you write this sort of a thing there's the risk of people who don't look at it critically - so you get people idolising or siding with Deadpool when what he's doing is really bad actually. It's kind of a miracle, the sorts of things Wade gets away with, while Peter's attacked for it - and that's something I kind of like to examine, too.
I think I do have a responsibility to make this blog feel safe, but also challenging and interesting - and I think I'll be working hard to kind of find a balance between the two. I'm still trying to figure it out - to write what I find interesting, knowing my own intentions but knowing it probably will be misinterpreted – or writing something else that is easy and pleasing to everyone (not really my bag, and also near impossible!), or just not write at all (also impossible for me! Got a brain-itch to scratch...)
I really appreciate when people read my writing and see what I'm getting at – but it doesn't always happen, and it isn't really anyone's fault. I kind of like to offer explanations and further meta, and the fics, because I love to be understood - and the server where I love to have discussions with people about how they receive these posts. The reason I love running this blog is the discussions I have with people about it. The back-and-forth, and so I really do love people to look at Wade and Peter a little deeper.
I have a genuine interest in autistic Peter and it's something I want to explore further in a sincere light, this is kind of just the first tease of something I want to explore more later, if the asks permit. I think every Peter Parker is autistic-coded - I've written a little bit about it here! I'm no expert on diagnosis - but as fantastical as ask-spiderpool can get sometimes - I kind of always want what Wade and Peter are going through in their heads to feel real and tangible and understandable, and come from a place of sincerity.
The consent issue is a complicated one – (as is the way with applying real-world-logic to the realm of alien sex with what you thought was just a slick space-age onesie...) Peter's relationship with the symbiote occupies more of a realm of metaphor than anything - and I don't think there's any sort of 1-to-1 comparison to the real world. (Has your sex-toy ever gained sentience and passed judgement upon you? Peter Parker's worst nightmare!)
There is a running theme of Peter kind of having his boundaries crossed - and the symbiote is sort of tied to that theme. The symbiote was entirely responsive to Peter's thoughts and didn't do anything Peter didn't will it to do - the real issue is the mortifying ordeal of being perceived. And it's a running theme with Peter - he hides so much and very often his privacy is violated.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's often played for laughs, because Deadpool doesn't always take Spider-man's boundaries seriously and likes to push him – but it's something that will come to a head, and Peter will be laying down the law very soon.
I'm really thankful for your message anon, and I really hope this response reaches you with similar sincerity that you reached out to me with and that I'm understood! - I love you so much anon! My DMs over on @sciderman are also open if you'd like to talk to me more!

I was wondering, what do u think Taigen reaction to finding out about Mizu being a woman will be? Although I don’t think he will have a bad reaction I wanted to know what u thought about it?
OOH I like this question because the thoughts on this have been swirling around in my brain for a while and I don't think I ever properly talked about this, outside of maybe this post (which is barely coherent imo). There, I compared Mizu/Taigen to Mizu/Mikio, as well as to the main romantic couple in the movie Yentl. Then from both those comparisons, I tried to speculate on Taigen's reaction to Mizu's gender reveal, based on what would make the most narrative sense.
However, I didn't really analyse Taigen himself in that post, and neither did I ever come up with a concrete conclusion to what his reaction may be. So this ask gives me a good chance to speculate even further and hopefully come up with a proper and more in-depth answer.
Similar to you, anon, I don't think Taigen will have a bad reaction per se, though I guess it depends on what you'd define by bad.
Because this is Taigen we're talking about, I don't think he'd exactly be chill about it. He's very much a drama queen, especially around Mizu, as he's never afraid of stepping on her toes, and thus will vocalise his feelings to her whenever he's feeling them. That, combined with his short temper and his brashness, means that there's almost certainly going to be conflict when he finds out the truth. He will be shocked, and because he's immature, he'll be angry and upset because of this shock. Simply because he doesn't know, and hasn't yet learned, how to deal with his emotions in any other way besides getting angry.
So I think that will definitely be his first instinct. To get upset.
I don't think he'd immediately know why he's upset. Maybe only after a few minutes of angry questioning (think something along the lines of "Why are you telling me this now?!" and "You've been hiding this all this time?!"), he'd finally come up with some tangible cause for his anger.
What would the cause for his anger be then? Well, it could be several things.
Possible Reason #1
He feels "betrayed" because Mizu didn't trust him enough with the truth even after the two have grown close, and after Taigen has put his life on the line for her numerous times.
Possible Reason #2
He feels "cheated" because Mizu is not the man he'd believed she was, thus making it feel like their entire friendship was a sham. This is because the basis for their relationship, in the way he'd related to her, bullied her, envied her, admired her, allied himself with her, and eventually grown attracted to her, had been entirely based off the premise and belief that Mizu is his fellow man, his peer, comrade, and fellow samurai. Thus, discovering that Mizu is not a man would, initially, feel like all of that has been ripped away from him. And this is actually related to the third possible reason.
Possible Reason #3
This is a big one, and the reason everyone, including myself, is putting their bets on: misogyny.
Essentially, Taigen would find out that this whole time, the person he'd been envious of and struggling to beat in every single fight, is not a man, but a woman. And as far as he knows, even if women in feudal Japan could once be warriors (see: the Onna-musha), perceptions have since changed by the time of the Edo period. Furthermore, even if women could fight, men were still expected to be stronger, because men are supposed to protect women.
However, I believe that Taigen's particular flavour of misogyny is a little different, in that he does not view women as "inferior." Because remember, his fiancee was Akemi. This was a woman who took no shits! She was snarky and playful and intelligent, and moreover she was a princess, superior to him in every way, and he knew and respected all of that, and respected her as an individual who could make her own choices. When she'd told him the news of their engagement, Taigen asked her, "He's [your father] sure? You're sure?" And then, when she tried to seduce him in Ep 2, he asked her, "Akemi, are you sure?"
His respect for her is the only reason why Akemi had been so desperate to marry him in the first place. She did not love him, but knew he would be good to her. Because she could not guarantee that any other man would treat her nicely as he would.
Thus, with that being said, I don't think Taigen is some "alpha male dudebro" who thinks women belong in the kitchen etc. Instead, I think Taigen simply believes women are just... different from men. So it's not that women can't or shouldn't fight, it's that they just don't. It's not that women can't or shouldn't be friends with men on equal footing, it's just that they aren't. You get what I'm saying?
It's like, imagine your whole life, you're told, and fully led to believe, that a lamp can't light up. They're just meant to be in your house as decoration. And then suddenly, you find out that your lamp lights up! And you're like, "OMG a lamp is lighting up! How is it doing that?! I thought light only comes from candles and the sun! This can't be right, I thought lamps never light up! Isn't that a fundamental part of their design?"
Now, put aside that this is a pretty bad analogy because it's 1am as I'm writing this and I can't think of a better one atm, but I hope the point comes across, in that this is clear-cut misogyny (I'm comparing women to a piece of furniture here on purpose), but the lucky thing about this particular flavour of misogyny is that it's rooted in ignorance, and is not inherently malicious. It can be, but it isn't necessarily.
Ignorance can be undone through learning and educating oneself. And luckily for us, my friends, educating oneself out of ignorance is the entire point of Taigen's character! He represents the uneducated masses who blindly follow the flow of the fucked up system. This is in contrast to Mizu who has never had a place within the system to begin with, Akemi who has spent her whole life struggling to go against the grain of the system, and Ringo who has always tried to follow the system, but due to his disability, is denied full access to it.
Thus, we've already seen him take the first steps to unlearn his xenophobic and racial prejudice, and we've also seen him start shedding his massive ego and desire for glory, which are both used to mask his own insecurities. If Netflix gives us all 4 planned seasons, then we have 3 more seasons for Taigen to fully grow out these backwards mindsets and finally reach his full potential to become—not a good man—but a great one.
THEREFORE, whatever the reason for his upset at discovering Mizu's gender, I firmly believe that Taigen will get over himself in the end, regardless of whether his anger stemmed from his misogyny, hurt, confusion, or whatever else.
Because Taigen's short temper and emotional immaturity is born from him spending his whole life on the move. Unlike Mizu, who is always alone with her thoughts and meditates constantly to try to cleanse herself of her restless emotions, Taigen is used to surrounding himself with people (see:him in the Shindo Dojo) and ignoring his emotions completely (see:him trying to forget Kohama). Which is why, when he does feel anything, it's overwhelming, and he doesn't know what else to do with it except let it out, usually in an angry outburst. Only when given the proper chance to reflect in Kohama in Ep7, does Taigen finally go through some substantial growth and start feeling remorse over how he'd treated Mizu.
Hence, I suspect something similar will happen when he discovers Mizu's gender, in which he will get upset and shocked and confused first, but then he'll reflect and regret and try to make up for his past behaviour.
And this is what I meant earlier when I said that I don't think he'll 't have a "bad reaction."
Essentially, it is my belief that his reaction will not follow in the footsteps of Mikio's, but instead, directly oppose and subvert that. This is related to the points I referenced in the post I linked above, but also, more importantly, because Taigen and Mikio are narrative foils.
Thus, where Mikio had betrayed Mizu and left her for dead, I believe Taigen will, at the end of the day, remain loyal and continue to fight by her side until the very end.
Because the thing about Taigen, as a person, outside of all the attitudes and prejudices that have been ingrained into him, is his relentless devotion. He gives himself into everything he does, puts in his all, and does not do things halfway. That's what makes him such a good soldier. He does not lead, but follows. He is inherently self-sacrificing and driven by a desire to protect, and we see this in how protective he is of Mizu to the point of enduring torture for her and telling her to use him as a human shield; how his first instinct upon hearing Akemi had been dragged off to get married against her will, is to get up and try to go to her; and how, when hearing the shogunate is in danger, he immediately goes straight to Edo palace to try to warn the shogun, even if it might get him killed in the process.
I could go on about why I think this is what makes him so good for Mizu (because Mizu's arc, especially in Season 1, is literally about accepting help and opening herself up to others) but this post is already atrociously long, so I'll just leave it at that.
So, anon, I hope I answered your question! I'm sorry I can never give short answers though, but I think at this point, it's to be expected from me lol. Thank you for the ask btw! And on that note, my inbox is always open for more 👀

[𝙼𝚒𝚔𝚎]
I believe he has some knowledge about those.
I mean, he's not an expert, but he understands that stimming is a calming method.
With that in mind, he wouldn't make any comments about it.
At most would ask how it feels like, out of curiosity.
"Well... it calms me down. Sometimes I do it out of excitement as well." You explained simply. "...So... You're like a puppy who wags their tail?" He tried to joke lightheartedly, hoping it's not offensive or ignorant. "That's a first time I hear this comparison." You truthfully responded, a bit amused and not offended at all. "Is it bad?" His voice hesitated slightly as he got more worried about your reply. "No- It's actually kinda cute." And so, he immediately calmed down.
His only repetitive movement (and point of reference) is scratching his arm when stressed, but he doesn't do it on the daily, unlike you.
Would never make fun or think of you weird, and is ready to throw hands if anyone is planning on that.
Well, okay, not literally, but
He'd make sure they're not bothering you to the best of his abilities.
Unless you don't want to, which he'll also respect.
It also never bothers him.
[𝙼𝚊𝚕]
He doesn't stim, like, at all, so he doesn't get it.
But you do you ig.
He's aware about what it is and why you do it, but he doesn't care much. /pos?
He might get a bit annoyed if he's trying to focus on something and you start doing it, though.
His first instinct isn't to be nice to people, so prepare for some rough reactions at first.
"Will you shut up for a minute?"
He'll learn to tone it down.
"...Can you stop for a moment, I'm trying to think."
But he will not tolerate other people saying that.
Only he has the right to be mildly mean to you sometimes /affectionate
Even if someone were to look at you the wrong way.
He's not the one to infantilize you, as he knows you're capable of protecting yourself, but if he's feeling particularly spicy that day, there might be some domination display on his part.
"Are you looking for something?" He stared daggers at the person who dared to show any sort of negative opinion towards you. "...To get hurt, perhaps?"
[𝚂𝚌𝚘𝚝𝚝]
Now this poor guy has no idea what autism/adhd even is.
Like, never heard of it.
So he'll just bluntly ask you what you're doing.
"Why are you... clapping?" He asked, tilting his hands. You immediately stopped, feeling a bit put on the spot. "Uh... I'm excited?" You responded casually, although you weren't sure of Scott's opinion on the topic yet. You wished he's gonna grasp it. "Oh." He said as you saw a bit of cogs turning in his head. You decide to spare him the figuring out by himself and explained further. "It's a stim." You calmly concluded. "You do drugs?!" His face turned into a surprise, concern and disbelief. You got thrown off your trail of thoughts, so a chuckle escaped your lips. "No- It's a stim. Not a stimulant." You elaborated once more. "Of course. I obviously know what that is." He didn't.
Be prepared for a long list of questions.
It doesn't really bother him, plus he has the benefit of now knowing your body language.
If he can make you make those movements, he won!
In case your stimming stems from stress.
Which he also gotta learn is a thing.
If anyone dares to point your stimming, he's ready to protect your honor like the hero he is.
"Hey! If you make fun of their flapping, you get the- slapping!" He was really proud of that one.

There is an abundance of female!readers fics and writers who provide them; I am just here for people that takes a whole day searching for good male!reader fics. IF you do start an unnecessary rant about my fics or my writing preferences at a given moment; I’ve been in fandom spaces for the last 7 years of my life and run on pure manic adrenaline, I will throw hands.

AITA for inquiring after a blog that got deleted?
This happened several months ago and my friends have told me that I wasn't in the wrong, but my stupid anxiety keeps bringing it up and saying actually they only told me that because they like me. Maybe the judgement of strangers will finally get my brain to put it to rest. Repliers, please use she/her pronouns only for me, I don't like being called by they/them.
I'm keeping this vague to respect the privacy of the others involved; if you somehow recognize the situation, please do not give further details. Feel free to ask for clarification if something is confusing, but I will not be providing additional information like what fandom it was as I believe that would just risk revealing who was involved, and I can't think of any additional info that would affect someone's judgement of what I did. I would like judgement of what I did without risking violating anyone else involved's privacy. Also, sorry this is so long. It's the ADHD. I hate it too.
I'm relating the dms involved as closely as I can, but they won't be word-for-word.
I follow several roleplay blogs in the same fandom. One day I noticed one that I particularly liked seemed to have been deleted. I wasn't sure if they'd made a goodbye post I didn't see before deleting or something, so I made a post asking if anyone knew if something had happened with their mod, as it seemed to come out of nowhere to me. No one ever interacted with this post, but I have no way of knowing if people saw it.
I messaged a blog that I had seen interact with them a lot asking something like "hey, do you know if something happened with [blog]'s mod? I noticed they had deleted and was wondering if something happened." They replied with the single word "no" and I thanked them and apologized for bothering them. This one word was the only thing they ever said to me. I took this to mean that they didn't know if anything had happened, but didn't try to investigate further. I was vaguely concerned that they seemed to have suddenly disappeared without anyone knowing, but it wasn't my place to try and dig things up.
A couple days later I was scrolling back through a different blog and I noticed an old post they'd reblogged from the person who deleted's sideblog, and the sideblog had also been deleted. I sent a dm asking something like "Hey, I noticed [blog] and [sideblog] were both deleted, and was wondering if you knew if the mod was alright" and received a response just saying that no one wanted to make what happened public, least of all the mod. I thanked them for responding, apologized for prying, and said I hoped things were alright, then deleted my post asking if anyone knew what had happened, so that people couldn't stumble on it, get curious, and try and pry themselves.
Very shortly after, I received an anonymous ask scolding me for prying into the mod's business when they wanted things kept quiet and continuing after being told no. I posted the anon and explained that I hadn't meant to pry - just was wondering if things were okay - and that I must have misinterpreted that first "no", apologized if I'd made anyone uncomfortable, and made it clear I would absolutely not ask further. That was the end of it, at least as far as I know.
I think I might be the asshole because: I didn't know the mod, we'd never talked beyond their answering some of my asks, but I asked people about them anyways. I was genuinely wondering if they were okay and was careful not to ask what happened, but I know I can have trouble finding the line between normal and nosy, and maybe messaging two people was too far, even if the first person seemed to not know anything.
I think I might not be the asshole because: I wasn't asking for details on what happened, I was just wondering if they were okay or if I'd missed a goodbye post, and backed off immediately after being told it was private. I don't think it's really my fault that I misinterpreted the first person saying "no" to me asking if they knew if something had happened, since I thought they were literally answering my question.
Again, please do not try to figure out who was involved in this if you think you recognize it; I just want my brain to stop turning this damn situation over and over and maybe having strangers judge it will do that.
So. AITA for asking after someone who deleted their roleplay blog?
What are these acronyms?

I would pay ANY amount of money for you to come out of retirement and write us some professor sharp angst/wholesomeness. Maybe something where mc helps him when he gets pain in his leg or something? Pretty please!
I didn't realise I was in retirement. 😅 Though it is true that I work a lot and stopped taking commissions/requests. That said, I do love Sharp and haven't written a fic in a while, so I hope this meets your expectations. Thanks, anon!
The student-teacher relationship in this fic is strictly platonic.
"Are you alright, Professor?" you asked, startled by his muffled groan.
"I'm fine," he said, his voice rasping.
He sat down quickly, wincing as he hit the chair. It was his leg, no doubt. You always saw him walking around without a cane, but you knew he had one. Thanks to your late night escapades searching for demiguise statues, you saw it leaning against a table in his room. The wood looked worn, as did the rubber on the tip, leading you to believe he used it profusely, just never around students or his peers.
"Sir?" you asked, cautiously moving closer.
"What do you want?" he barked, his teeth clenched.
You flinched, the question reminding you why you stayed after class. "Oh, I wanted to ask you about the erumpent potion. You said we'd be brewing it next week, but I'm having some trouble finding—"
"Another time," he said, sharply. "Tomorrow, perhaps. I don't have time for—"
He paused, gripping his thigh as he hunched forward. All colour seemed to drain from his face as he swallowed a visibly painful grunt. It was definitely his leg, and you felt sorry for him, but you didn't know how to broach the subject without upsetting him further. You simply watched as his brow furrowed, betraying the stoic demeanor he hoped to convey.
"I understand, Professor. Tomorrow, then."
It seemed like the best decision, leaving him to his own devices. After all, he'd been dealing with his condition for years and you weren't a doctor. There wasn't much, if anything, that you could do besides respect his privacy. You turned to leave, but as you did so, you heard him take a few short, laboured breaths.
"...Wait."
"Professor?"
His body was trembling, the nails on his free hand digging into his desk. "Bring me your wiggenweld potion. Please."
His demand was strict, but his eyes were desperate. You nodded, rushing to your station to retrieve the vial. When you handed it to him, his fingers shook as they pried the cork from the neck. Hastily, he downed the liquid with three loud gulps, then exhaled with a weary sough.
He didn't speak after that, he simply sat with his head down, fist clenched as he waited for the remedy to take effect. His mouth, though he tried to keep it closed, hung partially open as he fought for air, his chest heaving. You weren't sure how to react. Something told you he felt humiliated by your presence, but you couldn't help but worry.
"Professor?" you asked, gently. "Are you—?"
"I'm fine!"
His outburst was crass, hurtful. You didn't like it. His eyes were mixed with rage and agony and it scared you. He was always stern, but he still carried an air of kindness, despite his brooding looks; however, in that moment there wasn't a trace of the man who'd been so graciously helping you with your studies. You backed away, clasping your hands in discomfort.
"I'm sorry I bothered you, sir."
As you fled for the door, you heard him sigh, defeatedly. "Wait. I'm ... that was beneath me." You looked back, seeing him point to the chair beside his desk. "Please, sit."
You did, though with tense shoulders. You never took well to being yelled at, but Sharp did seem genuinely remorseful. As you joined him, his crude expression settled and he adjusted his tone. Once again his voice was deep but forbearing, unassuming. The way it usually sounded.
"I didn't mean to snap at you. You did as I asked and I am grateful." Relaxing, he brushed his hair out of his face. "As you know, I have no patience for those who refuse to acknowledge their own mistakes. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't include myself in that statement."
"Are you in pain?" you asked, glossing over his comment, but he didn't return your gaze.
"It will pass. I didn't expect such a powerful wave. Clearly the potion I took this morning was diluted."
"I didn't know it got that bad."
"It usually doesn't. Not during class, anyhow."
You thought back to his room. The empty bottles surrounding his chair—it all made sense. He didn't bring his cane to class because he was numbing his leg with potions. It couldn't be healthy, but you didn't dare question it. The man was so desperate for a cure, but even more desperate to keep face with his students.
"Sir, isn't the potions classroom the coldest in the castle? Doesn't that exacerbate your leg?"
"Clever," he huffed. "You know your biology." He seemed annoyed, yet paradoxically proud. "Yes, it can exacerbate it, but only in the winter."
You looked to the windows, tilting your head as flakes of snow hit the glass. Sarcasm. He was being intentionally facetious, which told you he was feeling better, or at least starting to.
"Are you alright now?" you asked, unsure of what else to say.
"I'll be fine." You could see the sweat shining on his forehead, his wrinkles folding in and out. He was still in pain. "This potion is weak, too."
"I'm so sorry. Did I make it wrong?"
"No, it's no fault of yours. A student's potion is never going to be stronger than a potioneer's. Besides, wiggenweld does very little regardless." He took another breath, carefully rubbing his thigh. "I wonder if you might do me another favour?"
"Of course, sir," you answered without hesitation.
"Never speak of this to anyone."
Your shoulders bucked. Taking his focus from his leg, his eyes met yours. He was serious, but it wasn't a threat. It was a sign of trust. It didn't have to be, but it was—an ask, not a demand. Eager to prove yourself worthy of that trust, you nodded.
"Of course, sir. I won't."
"Then you have my gratitude."
"But, sir—?" Your throat tightened, knowing you were about to push your luck. "Perhaps you should start using a cane. At least until spring, when it gets a little warmer?"
The silence cut into your soul. His black eyes stared you down, but you couldn't figure out what he was thinking. He didn't look angry or insulted, but he didn't look indulgent either. He was impossible to read sometimes.
"No need."
You didn't push it. "Okay."
"Thank you for your help, but I'm fine now."
"That's good." Things were getting awkward, mostly because you weren't sure if you believed him. "Can you walk?"
"What was it you wanted to ask me?" he injected. "About your potion?"
"Oh, well..." He was willing to talk, so you supposed he really was on the mend. "The erumpent potion. I went to J. Pippin's to buy some powdered erumpent horn, but he was sold out."
"You should've ordered it earlier, at the beginning of the school year. I sent all the students a syllabus and Pippin replenishes his supplies every September for that very purpose."
"I'm sorry, Professor. I did order it, but ... the dragon."
Sharp held his tongue, choosing his next words wisely. He could be cold, but he wasn't heartless, and he knew revisiting that day disturbed you. In fact, out of all the professors at Hogwarts, he was perhaps the most attentive and tender in that context, likely because he knew what it was like to watch someone die.
"Go on," he said, softly.
Your fingers curled. "Professor Fig and I never managed to find one of my clothing bags, which is fine, but I didn't remember until just a few days ago that I packed some ingredients in there. I completely forgot because I put most of them in my satchel, but they couldn't all fit. I'm afraid one of those ingredients was the powdered horn."
"I see." He let out a shaky sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "I have some in storage. You can use that, but just this once."
"Thank you, sir."
"And don't tell the other students. The last thing I need is some sentiment floating around that they can slack off and ask me to foot the bill."
"Understood, sir."
"Good. Now, if that answers your question, you should be on your way. Class is over, after all."
"Will you be alright?"
"Yes." There was a hint of frustration in his remark. "You, on the other hand, are going to be late for your next class."
You looked at the clock and were shocked to discover the afternoon break was almost over. It didn't feel like you'd been chatting for very long, but the realisation that you'd have to sprint halfway across the castle to make it to your next class caused you to jump out of your seat. Before leaving, you thanked Sharp one last time, but as you crossed the threshold and rushed around the corner, you slowed. Something wasn't right. You didn't know how you knew, but you couldn't shake the feeling. After a few long strides, you came to a grinding halt, your hand resting against the wall.
As you waited for something you weren't sure was going to happen, it happened. From the classroom, you heard a piercing yelp that made your whole body stiffen, then a thud. Horrified, you ran back and found Sharp curled up on the floor, his jaw clenched and eyes squinted shut. While trying to steady himself with one hand, the other pushed against his hip, the pain excruciating.
"Professor!"
You ran to his side and crouched to his level, but he let out a violent hiss when you touched his arm. It wasn't because he was rejecting you, though, but because any physical contact, no matter where it was, only served to amplify his pain. Every muscle, every nerve screamed in agony.
"D-don't touch me," he begged through gritted teeth.
You obliged, only removing your cape and draping it over his legs; an act of which he didn't protest. As you hoped, the warmth offered some alleviation, but not much. For a while, you both stayed there, his leg twitching as he sucked in air through his nostrils, his moans distressing. You had never seen a grown man writhe in such obvious torture. It was almost too much for you to bear, but you knew it was infinitely worse for him.
"I ... I think I should get the nurse."
He reached out, suddenly, and clutched your wrist. As he held on, you could feel his body shudder and contract. His cheeks were white as sheets and his hair stuck to the sweat soaking his brow. It looked like he'd been hit with the cruciatus curse, but he still managed to cough up an audible "no".
"Oh please, Professor! Please!"
He shook his head, barely. He couldn't speak anymore. He could hardly move, except for the involuntary spasms. You couldn't believe you fell for his reassurances, for his helpful teacher act. He'd been suffering the entire time, but it was too late for him to apparate somewhere safe. He couldn't concentrate, couldn't answer you, and that scared you. You weighed your options, considered spells, considered trying to carry him, but all of those were foolish notions. He was twice your size, and shifting him even an inch caused him to wail.
"Ah ... aughh!"
His cries pushed you over the edge. Even if it made him hate you, even if you lost his trust forever, you didn't care. You apologised, then raced to the hospital wing with more speed than you thought you were capable of. When you returned with help, Sharp was still on the floor, and in an even worse way than when you left him. Something was very wrong, which the nurse divulged immediately. Ignoring his objections, she gave you a nod of approval, letting you know you made the right decision, then disapparated, taking your ailing professor in tow.
Nearly two weeks later, you received a summons to visit Sharp in the faculty hall. He'd only recently returned to Hogwarts and he was set to resume teaching in a few days, but you weren't sure how to take the news. You were certain he'd be furious with you. After all, he ended up in St Mungo's and his absence had become a famed rumour amongst the students. No doubt he intended to berate you, but you accepted it. Standing outside his room, you mustered your courage and knocked.
"Come in, and keep the door open."
You did as he asked, finding him sat in his armchair not too far from the entrance. As you hobbled in, he gestured to a chair he'd placed across from him, and you took it, but without meeting his gaze. For some reason, you felt embarrassed, if not slightly fearful. Once situated, you didn't say anything, instead choosing to grip your pants out of nervousness.
"Look at me," he said, sending a shiver up your spine.
Hesitating, you lifted your head, your eyes heavy. He looked exhausted. He looked like he'd been through hell. The bags under his eyes were darker than usual, almost bruised, and his stubble was unusually outgrown. An attempt had been made to brush his hair, but it still sprung out in certain areas, emphasising his lack of energy. Realising this, a suffocating sense of guilt consumed you. You wondered if his time in St Mungo's had been a negative experience, and if so you blamed yourself. Taking a quivering breath, you looked away, ashamed.
"Sir, I'm so sor—"
"Forgive me."
You gasped, quietly. "What?"
"That day, after class, I'm well aware you must have been terrified. You wanted to help me, but I made that difficult." Your eyes were wide as saucers as you listened. "Mrs. Weasley informed me you've been withdrawn in your other classes. Is it too presumptuous of me to assume that's because of me?"
You flinched, hanging on every word he uttered. "N-no, sir! I mean, maybe a little. I have a lot on my mind, but I did worry you might ... you might hate me now."
He chuckled, putting your worries at ease. "It takes a lot for me to genuinely hate a student." He sat back, exhaling as he rubbed his thigh, which was clearly sore but in much better condition. "No, I don't hate you. I was upset at the time, but that's my problem. A student should never have to see their teacher in such a sorry state."
"I didn't mind. It's not your fault you can't—!" You cut yourself off. No matter what you said, it wouldn't change his mind. His pride was already wounded and pity was the last thing he needed. "I'm sorry, sir. You don't deserve this."
He shrugged. "I actually owe you more than an apology."
You raised an eyebrow, confused. "Sir?"
"My injury," he wheezed. "That day, it was different. The pain was ... well, it was trying to tell me something, but I was being stubborn and now I've paid the price."
You looked at his leg, his hand resting just above his knee. "It's gotten worse."
"It would have, had you not fetched the nurse when you did. Evidently, the muscles beneath my scars started to deteriorate. My first few days in St Mungo's were spent merely trying to keep them stable." He cleared his throat, his voice strained. "Do you understand what I'm saying?"
"I-I think so," you stuttered. "You've been too hard on your leg."
"Yes, and if not for your actions that day, I might've lost it entirely." You blinked as he stood ever so slowly, his hand firmly gripping the cane he'd hidden beside his chair. "I've never been particularly good at showing my gratitude, but you have it nonetheless."
"I ... you're welcome, sir." You could tell it was hard for him, that he was self-conscious about the whole situation, but he was trying his best to be cordial. "I'm glad you're okay. You are okay, right?"
"I'm fine." He groaned, caught off guard by your sincerity. "That said, never second guess yourself, not even if an irascible old fool like me gives you grief. You did well."
As he faced the wall, almost shyly, you smiled. "That's a beautiful cane, sir."
"Yes, well, I shall see you in class. I expect you've been keeping up with your studies?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good. Then I look forward to seeing what you've learned." Sensing his insistence, you stood and headed for the door. "One more thing." Meeting you at the archway, his limp countered by the cane, he handed you a small sack. "Professor Hecat told me she moved the syllabus around while she was covering for me. The erumpent potion has been rescheduled to next week, correct?"
"Yes, sir."
"Good. You'll be needing those supplies, then." Curious, you loosened the pullstring, but he stopped you. "Open it on your own time, please. I assure you, there's plenty to sift through."
You thanked him again, heading out as he led you. Once in the hall, he muttered a "good day", then politely closed the door. Needless to say, the exchange went better than you imagined; you squeezed the sack as you processed it. Sharp was, much to your surprise, far more reasonable than you gave him credit for, and you felt horrible for having expected otherwise.
As you headed off, you unrolled the edges of the sack, itching to see what was inside, and when its contents came into view, you froze. Powdered erumpent horn, to be sure, but a variety of other ingredients also caught your eye. Abraxan hair, aconite, alihosty, billywig slime, lovage, maw, hellebore, rue. Some of the ingredients were rare and expensive. The generosity of it spoke volumes, louder than words. There was enough in there to last you until next term, and perhaps longer.
"There you are!" a voice shouted as you exited to the main hall. It was Poppy, running towards you with a glowing smile. "I've been looking everywhere for you! What're you doing all the way over—?" She looked down the corridor you'd just left. "Oh, that's right. I forgot you had a meeting with Professor Sharp." She frowned. "How'd that go? Did he chew you out?"
You couldn't help but laugh as you tightened the sack and swung it over your shoulder. "Come on, Poppy. He's not so bad."

Leaving aside the fact that this was apparently sent to a number of trans women, some of whom wouldn't have any reason to be primed to recognize bait because they're not involved in this discourse, there were also a number of people openly defending this ask and trivializing trans women's feelings when it comes the sexual objectification they experience regularly from both outside and, in this case, within the queer community.
In fact I've even seen many of the women targeted recognize that the ask is clearly bait, with their disappointment and anger being aimed instead at the transmascs who went out of their way to claim there was nothing wrong with it and trans women were overreacting, without the cover of anonimity (so clearly they stand by this idea).
In the same way I am not a fan of people who say trans men need to shut up about transandrophobia and get forcibly impregnated (I'm still reeling from that one, honestly. It was vile), I'm also not a fan of people who say trans women need to shut up and fuck people who clearly don't respect them.
And this does happen a lot, to both trans men and trans women.
I want to make it very clear - as I've said in every ask response: I feel for those people, especially the people who are distanced from this conversation who have been caught in the crossfire. Especially when there have been a lot of conversations going on lately about the ways trans women are sexualized, especially within our own communities. It's been happening in tandem with the conversation on the sexualization of butches for awhile now. Those are good conversations to have.
That's why the bait is so obvious to me though. It's very clearly preying on those current conversations and escalating them further to cause an even bigger divide.
And let's be clear - those women, especially the ones who are completely distanced from this conversation and have been harassed for no other reason than this anon decided to include them in their campaign - are absolutely victims here because that's how this kind of bait operates.
Victimize as many people as possible while pointing a finger - directly or indirectly - at a group you want to pit the victims against and cause massive issues and infighting as a result. It's textbook. It creates a scenario where there are people justifiably upset for being victimized while priming their upset in a direction away from the actual person doing the victimizing - creating two sets of victims that are now arguing with each other while the victimizer gets off scott free.
That's especially easy with the anonymous feature.
I don't think anyone is wrong for being upset about being sexually harassed. I think people are wrong for taking the sexual harassment at face value, especially those who are closer to these conversations who should - imo - know way better.

Is there any other ship that you like besides Leoichi?
Hahahshjdg anon this ask is so hilarious to me. I DO like other ships, there are plenty of them, but if we're only talking about ROTTMNT? Yeah that's where there aren't many :D
Firstly, I like April/Cassandra Jones and April/Sunita AND April/Cassandra/Sunita. Let's go lesbians LET'S GOOO
Secondly, I really like @damniteggs 's Carbon Dating AU!! I don't know if they have a ship name but I'm already fond of peepaw Leo and Spider-guy <3 (the comic is a bit further along on IG)
Also I'm outing myself as pro-Splinter/Draxum lmfao. I think they've reached a mutual understanding and respect for each other by the end of the show – although Draxum might have to do a liiiiiittle bit more to actually get on Splinter's good side – so a soft, quiet romance between them feels like something that could happen.
Overall I'm kinda picky about my ships and it's mostly because this is me every day all the time:

Bpp how have you been handling chapter2? Do you get bored or lose interest in Bts in hiatus? Do the solo rollouts not bother you? Please be honest I really want to know you true opinion.
***
Hi Anon,
Chapter 2 has been rough for you, hasn’t it? At least, based on your ask it sounds like it’s been. Tangentially, did you enjoy yourself this past weekend?
I’ve said this before, but if you ever feel like it’s a chore to remain plugged into BTS or stan culture, please step back. Don’t feel guilty about detaching if you no longer find joy in it. Move on to another hobby or another group if that’s where you’re at. BTS has fans, don’t worry. Don’t feel any obligation to stick around if Chapter 2 isn’t serving you what you want. You can check back in 2026 when the guys are together, or move beyond them completely.
That said, personally, I wonder how you can even ask me this question. Like, what else has Chapter 2 been but a trip? Lollapalooza, Balming Tiger collab, World Cup, Jungkook’s birthday video for Jimin, Indigo collabs, Set Me Free Pt 2, Promise on Spotify, On The Street, D-DAY tour, Yoonmin live, etc.
It’s been a blast. The music is easily some of the best globally this year and last. To illustrate:
...
The song I just listened to is Baseline by j-hope.
youtube
*
It's like a drug for me.
I don't think you understand.
I get high... off their music. Like, I don't know why you think two years of irregular releases without their full promotion of that music, will change my underlying sentiment. BTS scratches an itch few other artists can reach for me.
[ The sentiment? BTS is one of the best musicians of my generation. They make music that actually slaps. Any day of the week. Any genre they touch. It's prime good music. ]
Let me walk you through my playlist for the last half hour:
J-hope - Baseline
Baseline is the sauciest hiphop joint out of Korea, ever. J-hope is undeniably one of the most skilled and versatile rappers out of Asia. Point. Blank. Period.
RM, Tablo - All Day
RM's vocals in All Day render me a stupid mess. He's sooooooo... he's kinda nasty. I mean, it's big, he's kinda messy with it, but he ultimately knows how to use it, and he knows you know that he knows. All of this I deduced from his articulation and delivery on All Day. Tablo too, that tease, matched Joon's energy seamlessly. No further comment.
youtube
*
RM, Mahalia, Benny Blanco - Closer
Namjoon created a masterpiece with Indigo. It's an atrocity that many people won't admit it. Really. Indigo is the album of 2022 (Hurt by NewJeans being the song of the year, and JITB at Lollapalooza 2022 by j-hope the concert experience of the year.) Closer is an impeccably produced song. I mean it's almost disgusting how smooth the production, arrangement, instrumentation, etc on that song is.
youtube
*
Jimin - Alone
The cold clarity in his lyrics. How raw and honest he is, in such a well produced track... people need to show this song more respect.
youtube
*
RM - Change Pt 2.
The only song that rivals how brilliant and badass this one is, is Set Me Free Pt 2 by Jimin.
youtube
*
Agust D - D-DAY
The entirety of D-DAY album still has me in a vice grip, but something about D-DAY the song, rips to the core. How he manages to slip something rock anthemic into the epic call to arms he made that song into... Yoongi is in a league of one.
youtube
And to drive home the point, listen to him on HUH?!
Agust D, j-hope - HUH?!
Still the best song on the album. Undeniably. I mean, if you don't black out when this song comes on are you even alive? /gen. No matter where I am, what I'm doing, I could be exiting my company's underground garage, loading laundry, whatever... no matter what I'm doing, when this song comes on I feel my brain short circuit. It's like a mental reset. I suddenly feel so alert and primed with tension I could kill a person if I felt like it. The grandmas scared about what rap does to teens... songs like HUH?!, really do flip a switch in people's heads. They're right to worry because that's what the genre, drill - the gritty, ominous, and violent contemporary expression of rap - that's what it's made to do. And Yoongi showed an effortless mastery of it in HUH?!
youtube
*
Agust D - tour medley
I hope people who weren't able to see Agust D in person, were at least able to see him in the livestreamed concerts. Many times since I saw him in California, I've come back to some fancams from his earliest days of the tour. This one by rogrog is a favourite. Yoongi is a master of his craft who loves to show off his virtuosity. And in his D-DAY tour, that's what he does.
youtube
*
j-hope, J. Cole - On The Street
Jung Hoseok just casually produced this timeless classic and dipped to the military. No fuss. No sweat. No excuses. He just did the thing, had J. Cole spit some of the sickest bars of his career on that song, then said, "see you later."
Things like this are why he's my bias.
He's a consummate professional.
youtube
*
Unpopular opinion, but I have no real issues with their solo roll-outs. I'm not unsatisfied with too much and frankly, I'm so greedy for new music I wouldn't mind another cluttered roll-out. I hope Joon's music follows soon after JK's because God knows I'm not sure I can stand the wait much longer. Joon makes a lot of 'BTS-style' music and so whatever he drops will serve as the perfect complement to Seven / JJK1. And Vmin will likely drop new music in the next year as well.
Chapter 2 has been kind of a blast.
That's my "true opinion", Anon.

About those 3 Anon messages recently...
Yes, there's 3 now. Third on came up while I was finishing typing about the 2nd one.
tl;dr context: peeps defending a fictional 2D lego character, questioning the morality of esau (despite the lack of lore context), as well as for some reason a personal attack on me... also smol chinese jesus??? :'D
DISCLAIMER:
I respect y'all's opinions and headcanons and whatnot. It's all valid. However. I expect respect on my own opinions and headcanons return. That's literally all I'm asking.
That's common sense and I will from this point on just delete anyone else's anon asks if they try to argue with me about my standings on these matters mentioned in here. Or this post in general.
There's literally no point in arguing over words written in a story, or debating whether or not pixels on a screen are hot or not.
With that disclaimer being said...
Case 1:
Tumblr media
I'm fully aware of the entire discussion thing of Nezha being eternally 12 and all that, but I'm also fully aware of how LMK Nezha is more of a parody on the original. LMK Nezha is more of an adult 2D character who took the characteristics of the source, but then was turned into an aged-up parody.
It's not weird with the context of how things even came to be in the AU. It does involve a form of "infection" that changes those that are infected. In ESAU it's just slightly different from my original story's OCs to appeal more to the Reader. There are people out there who seek comfort in their own superiority complex too, especially if they can never explore that part of themselves normally. If that doesn't appeal to you, that's fine. But don't assume it's weird just because you don't like it if a fictional master/servant relationship isn't for you.
Now, this ask wasn't really bad or directly disrespectful. That was just basic questioning on the general relationship of the AU as well as the LMK Nezha being 12 discussion. So I went to bed, cuz I didn't wanna respond with my rather aggressive response to the topic. Like, I ranted about it to my Discord server, but it was already around midnight and I knew I'd come off as aggressive, despite the logic and facts, if I just copy n pasted the way I phrased the rant. So I went to bed. But then I woke up to an essay in another ask...
Case 2:
Tumblr media
I'm assuming this is the exact same person, based on the timeframe and the writing style..? Maybe even the same person who asked that question about whether I'd make Nezha's relationship towards the Reader romantic or platonic..??
For the sake of this entire thing being unworthy of an unnecessary discussion, as well as the fact that the person sending this isn't worth directly responding to if they hide behind an anon face, knowing they would get flamed, I will solely respond to these for my actual viewers, who do enjoy ESAU.
As in, I noticed how almost every single point is easily arguable. Like, they literally just made it up as if every single relationship between the Reader and their champions is romantic. Which couldn't be further from the truth. This is a point I wanna get more into due to how it covers the Master System more. A random anon sending me questions, or rather statements, like this doesn't deserve to get a detailed response to this directly either. My viewers do deserve more insight though. Be it to avoid more people thinking this is automatically grooming, or just to give interested people more lore dump.
To keep it short: Everyone who wants to be a Reader, is a Reader. I myself am a Reader of fiction, which is why I use my persona to fill in the Reader's space in any drawing I do for ESAU. Which is also why Macaque referred to their Master currently being female in that one drawing- Because in that moment, in my drawings, I'm technically seen as their Master.
So when you see the champions swap between their Master using non-binary or female pronouns, this is why. If you see me draw them referring to their Master as a "she", they're referring to basically their current Master in that exact moment. However, literally anyone else can also be placed in that spot.
Whenever I refer to a Reader's reincarnation, I usually mean either "the same person, but another life" OR "different people of the same/a different life". As in, the Reader can imagine themselves having had multiple past lives, or their "past life" is actually another Reader. We're all the Reader. That's why I kept saying the Master System is rather philosophical.
The Reader can imagine themselves if they met their champions as a child or as an adult. However, nothing in ESAU is forced to be romantic or sexual. If you were born as a prince/princess/royalty, that doesn't mean your servants are immediately destined to be romantic or sexual with you, right? That entire portion is up to the Reader to decide and imagine. I do not control what another person thinks of and imagines. If they chose to pick a darker path, the fuck do you want me to do about that? Unless it ends up hurting anyone, or they actively push the topic onto others, I see no issue with however a Reader wants to think up what happens in their life with their servants. All I do is create material for others to play with.
Except for the First Master, any other Reader can be considered either the same person or various people. That's up to the person behind the screen, whether they feel more comforted with one idea or another.
On the Nezha being 12 topic... Do people know what a parody is, I-
LMK Nezha looks more like THIS-
Tumblr media
Not as young as THIS-
Tumblr media
And he was never said to be 12 years old in LMK. Nor does he look 12, act 12, speak 12, sound 12... LMK needs to be seen and accepted as more like a parody AU of the original story, if that wasn't obvious enough. I find it funny how they brought up my own age though-
Cuz yeah, I'm 21, almost 22, and I do understand the difference between reality's religions, fictional 2D pixels, and the difference between the source and a parody. Wow. Shocker. I know.
Or as I said it in tags earlier today-
Tumblr media
Also I'd just like to add… If we go by the theory of specifically LMK Nezha still being 12, despite literally thousands of years having passed, his body being depicted as a fully grown adult in basically every single goddamn aspect of his character within the show… Literally all he got is his paperwork saying he's 12. Like- LMK Nezha would literally just be one of those people that were born on February 29th. Just him not getting any birthdays. Do you assume after literal thousands of years, with his body and mind being mature, and only his paperwork saying he's 12, this dude wouldn't be tryna explore more of himself and his interests, wh-
Like- LMK Nezha isn't the original source Nezha. Simple as that. Just accept it's a parody and be done with it. If you don't agree with it, that's your opinion and I respect that. But don't you dare fucking push that opinion on others who do actually accept the show as a parody and wanna live out their fantasies in said parody.
Your opinion does not mean it's the opinion of others.
Like, the entire age thing in LMK is such a headcanon thing to the point where no one seems to have a solid age, besides maybe MK, who I've seen people calculate his age for due to his driving license and all that. LMK Nezha is confirmed to be depicted as an adult within the show, which is the headcanon I'm going with, regardless of whatever bullshittery people are trying to argue with.
In conclusion: Nezha may be eternally 12 in a story. But that story is NOT Lego Monkie Kid.
On a side note, something I found ironic and funny, is if an aged up character isn't allowed to be sexualized, then I guess if someone ages a character down, suddenly that original source of the character is no longer allowed to be sexualized either, just because that character suddenly has a younger version of themselves. It's not even the younger version that's being sexualized. That literally is the entire logic of this debate on not wanting a fictional character to have an aged up version of themselves.
Good job, nobody wins. I guess nothing can be sexualized at that point- But then again, Rule 34 wouldn't exist then.
Okay, but now this, THIS is where I got REALLY annoyed, cuz NOW we're getting into more personal territory of nitpicking at ESAU. And those who know me are aware of how I go Asian mom mode when my creations, or younger friends and mutuals, are being wrongfully disrespected.
In general, their entire point is a snowflake-behavior nitpick. Branding is also seen as a way to claim ownership over something. The torture part is basically just the pain of it. I could've also just have the champions have one of those toy stamps for lil children be slapped onto them if you really wanna snowflake it all for tHe PrEcIoUs cHilDrEn...
C'mon. I grew up with FNAF and Creepypastas. Which tend to be usually two of the first fandoms I see children get interested in and hyperfixated on. Mentions of brandmarks that have fully healed ain't nothin' at all.
Like, I literally met a boy who was 8ish years old, who was so happy and hyped about FNAF that he asked me to draw Freddy and Bonnie.
Creepypastas also might make one edgy for a while, but they do grow A LOT from it once they leave that phase. So far, everyone I've ever talked to about Creepypastas in the past became such a good person. Because they look back, and recognize morals so much better. They have seen what bad things can happen and we all know where to draw the line between what's fine, and what's not. Nitpicking on LMK Nezha and ESAU doesn't mean anything since it's just that, nitpicking. I know where to draw the line, but this line these people set is a line no one but themselves can imagine.
Show children bits of reality's darker side and they will know how to deal with the knowledge much better and faster as they grow. That wasn't even just about branding, but I'm tired of people saying how we need to keep children safe. Well yeah, keep them safe physically, but they will never fucking grow and become more independent unless you fucking let them think and process the good AND the bad for themselves.
Also on the topic of adding content warnings- Like, the fuck do you want me to even add? Those asks other people sent of the Reader being basically raised by their servants need no warnings, X Readers in general need no warnings, the brandmarks need no warnings cuz they're just there as aesthetic symbols for anyone not invested in the lore, LMK Nezha needs no content warnings-
Literally the only content warning I'd ever need to add is something like gore, which I do admit I didn't add on the ESAU!Nezha X Reader one.
And I'd just like to add a little something that made me raise an eyebrow: They complained about me going against "Wukong's celibacy vows" when they literally admitted to actively looking through the LMK X Reader tag. While that doesn't necessarily mean they would marry or bang Wukong, that means they're at least curious or interested in what a relationship with any of those characters would be like. Which by all means, would not be possible without it being fiction/fanfiction, and without them having some curiosity or interest in the 2D show of LMK.
Like you're literally telling me I'm practically hurting a fictional character's feelings on the matter, but then turn around and try to get with another character.
Fanfiction and AU's are a thing, man. It's all opinions, headcanons, and literally made up shenanigans. And there's nothing wrong with it when it differs from one person to another.
But dumping empty accusations onto me, someone who thinks more logically than emotionally, literally doesn't help your case. Like, you're debating whether or not this 2D character would actually give a shit if someone would wanna bang them cuz they look hot to the other person.
Case 3:
Tumblr media
This one just got dropped into my inbox as I finished typing out the last paragraph and just- This is literally just a unnecessary and only somewhat personal hatred thing at this point- But I'm wheezing at the idea of a smol Chinese Jesus-
Bro, as someone who was forced to be Christian on paper, but never gave a shit about it, because Religion doesn't prove anything or form you, I really don't care. And even if that were the case, I wouldn't complain. It's all fiction dammit. You're again, defending pixels on a screen. Besides that, that wouldn't even be the original source character, again. Also in general, honestly, I see any religious story as fiction anyway. Cuz that literally is what a religion is- You put a belief onto someone over a being/a story-
If you're religious, I respect that. But so do you have to respect that I'm not exactly religious myself.
Case 3 was probably the most directly aggressive one of the 3, but also the most unmeaningful one and so unnecessary one... as if that would be the one to prove a point.
Anyway, rant over, I'm done with this.
If I see any other personal hate on me for not sharing the same fucking opinion on such a niche debate, I'll just ignore and delete it all. This is such a pointless topic.
ESAU is supposed to be a comfort zone for those who actually do feel connected to it. If you don't, that's fine, I fully respect it. If people believe Nezha is 12, I respect that. But don't push that onto those who literally are just here to have a nice time away from shit like this. If you wanna "keep the children safe", fucking keep them away from this sort of nowhere-leading discussion topic.
Literally look at Genshin's Twitter Community, this just feels like the exact same type of unnecessary drama I see there.
And no I will not tag these 3 anons. If they respect me enough, they will either just keep quiet or block me and move on. I don't mind. But I refuse to let this bullshit be a whole ass discussion when I'm just trying to have a good time connecting to my viewers after a long day at work. If they look for a fight for some reason, I won't give them one. They can pick someone else for this bullshit, it's not worth my time as it's all OPINION AND HEADCANON-BASED.
And such debates don't end in peace. So I'd rather be the bigger, more mature person and just say "This is the line. Discussion over. We're done here".
Have a nice day, anyone who actually is nice and respectful towards others and their own takes/opinions on things! Weekend's here now tho so y'all ESAU lovers might see some wholesome lil doodles! :D

A genq, with no harm meant (we have differing opinions, that's okay) but like. Genuinely, what is the difference between a fan privately messaging drm, and Tommy "Schlatt Stan" innit messaging Schlatt at 16/17 and getting talking in the dms, ending up becoming friends. What's the difference between him doing it with Wilbur? With techno? All of them were people he looked up to, was a fan of and admired enormously, and yet they were allowed to grow a friendship. Hell, I met my best friend because I was a huge fan of hers, made her art, edits, probably would have been a stan if that had been a thing back then but we got to talking in private messages and after a while she gave me other apps to contact her on. I met my gf because she was a fan of my writing - we now live together. I genuinely don't understand how this is automatically creepy or predatory beheviour, having been on both sides of the scenario. I think the situation has a lot more nuance than just "DM's bad, no cc should DM anyone ever" and "getting a private Snapchat is creepy"
(I should say for the purposes of this I'm only taking what we know 100% to be true, which is the insta DM's which have 0 evidence of any kind of inappropriate sexual content, I'm waiting for further solid evidence to make a full judgement on the situation)
the difference is that tommy was a fan asking specifically for advice about content growth, OR to join their content. tommy was always trying to be a youtuber + bully bigger ccs into letting him into their content. tommy reached out first, and he was on BUSINESS. although of course they became friends later, the nature of his reaching out was 'professional'
this situation, on the other hand, involves a content creator having a pattern of talking to underage female fans. specifically to compliment them or their appearance, or ask to make their conversations MORE private by sharing snaps. ( <- that is the info from the dms DREAM CONFIRMED. not any others). that action is almost immediately by anyone with street smarts read as predatory.
is it possible it WASN'T? absolutely. it's fully possible that in the best case scenario all of that was in good faith. but it still LOOKS really fucking bad. and dream is not an idiot. he should have known how bad that looks, how obviously predatory it seems. in the BEST CASE SCENARIO, he's still a complete idiot who was engaging in idiotic and unprofessional behavior that looks unsafe and predatory. and then he brushed aside everyone's reasonable concerns about it. that is the BEST POSSIBLE CASE SCENARIO, and it's still pretty fucking scummy. plus with how ridiculous his response is, i'm very inclined to believe it's at least somewhat worse than the best case.
*EDIT: realizing after the fact that this looks very aggressive-- i’m not aggressive towards you, anon, your question was asked fairly politely. this situation as a whole just makes me grossed out and angry
*EDIT TWO: wilbur, after finding out tommy was a minor, became uncomfortable with the power dynamic and blocked him until a later date at which it was clear tommy was a cc too. it is REMARKABLY easy to notice when a power dynamic is a little off and form respectful distance, and ccs are absolutely capable of it.

I heard news about a snowstorm in Ukraine that caused several deaths, and I was so worried for you. Are you okay, Morgan? Is your family safe? Are things calming down there? I keep checking for news that announces the end of this war, and it's disheartening to see that it never arrives. I can't imagine what it must be like to live through this. Is there anything we can do for you? Do you need somewhere to take refuge outside the country? Is the money you receive from your job sufficient for you and your family to live comfortably? I always check the updates you post, and it's admirable that these horrible events haven't changed the golden heart you have, you are a wonderful person and you don't deserve any of what is happening, I hate that I can't do anything to stop it this war, but whatever I can do for you I will.
please be safe, please keep fighting.
Another ask: Hey, I hope you're just busy but please give us some sign that you're okay, please. I'm worried
Another ask: Katrin, you are okay??
Another ask: You okay??
Another ask: How are you going?? Is everything already? Please asnwer 😭
----------------------------
Hi! Thank you all, you wonderful anons (and my lovely first anon, I'll respond to your questions further down in this reply). I'm so touched that you've been thinking about me! There was indeed a serious snowstorm that caused some deaths, but I'm fine: honestly, I'm such a hopeless stay-at-home introvert that I usually leave only for short trips to the shop and to feed pigeons & stray cats. So I meet most storms safely tucked in my bed))
It's all right now, though everything is still covered in snow. If there is snow where you are, too, and you see miserable pigeons or other birds around, please feed them if possible! They rely on us entirely during winters. Some grain would be ideal.
I was hoping to make a monthly post, but my tight work schedule + migraines ruined these plans, so I decided to give up on it. Russians haven't attacked my city again yet after that the most massive attack by drones. I'm pretty sure it is coming, though, especially on holidays. They tried to tun our last New Year into hell on purpose by sending missiles during the day, killing people, and then sending drones at night. I worry that this year might be even worse, but I've been teaching myself to live in the present and enjoy peace while I still have it, so I manage to keep my fears at bay.
First anon, thank you so much for your kindness! I have places where I could go and stay beyond Ukraine, but for the next year at the least, I intend to keep holding on because I can't leave without my family (and the bigger half of my family is not allowed to leave legally yet). If Russian attacks get completely unbearable, I might go to Poland to my relatives for a month or two just to unwind and to repair my sanity a bit.
As for the money, I'm doing more or less okay, and people who keep supporting me on Patreon help me to stay afloat. I have some debts, but they are under control - I owe the bank $300, which is 1/3 of my monthly salary, so I'm capable of paying it back little by little. The situation is not ideal, but nothing to worry about.
Like many Ukrainians at the moment, I feel burned out regarding the war. There are many amazing, kind people in this world, and our soldiers are absolute heroes who deserve all respect in the world, but those with power to make decisions like money way too much. It's an unfortunate fact that has been making people all over the world suffer generations after generations. Many US, European, and Chinese companies continue to help Russia manufacture its missiles and other things they use to kill us. The help Ukraine gets is enough to let us survive but not enough to let us win. Those who can make money on it eagerly grab the chance, including some members of our own government. I'd like to be optimistic, but I really don't see a scenario that would end with justice. It's very difficult to accept the fact that terrorists and murderers won't be punished - on the contrary, many of them will continue to live in luxury, unable to imagine what an explosion even sounds like, until the day they die. But like I said before, it is what it is. The world is full of bitter examples like this.
Thank you for being with me and supporting me, reading my stories and sending your asks. I hope to end this month with posting two chapters for my two stories. My second job comes to an end December 15, and hopefully, I'll get a chance to really dive into writing after this!

My theory is that the writers realized at some point deep into the process that they’d given the female protagonist the primary interpersonal conflict of stressing over confessing to a boy along with anxiety and insecurities they never explored deeply, reducing her to comic relief a lot of the time.
Meanwhile they’d given the male deuteragonist the deeper, more serious interpersonal conflict with the main villain with complex emotional responses that used to be blatantly and purposefully linked to his trauma in the first seasons (like in Glaciator or the Christmas Special). It was taken seriously.
So when they realized, they said “oops we did a sexism in our girl centered show and gave all the interesting setup to the boy! We can’t have that.” And scrambled to “fix it” over the last couple of seasons or so by leaning deeper into Marinette’s guardianship and the resulting trauma, her trauma in season 5 and pushing Adrien further and further into the backdrop.
They did a 180 which SURPRISE! Also doesn’t work! The fans are going to want the pay off for all this interesting setup you did with that boy in the first seasons. Why didn’t they flesh out her character WHILE allowing him to complete the interesting arc they gave him? But there can only be one apparently. And yet they somehow managed to still give the atrocious male villain who some of the writers have referred to as being a good dad a respectable end while not allowing him to actually suffer for his crimes and shoving all of that responsibility and blame onto the girl instead.
They just don’t know how to helm a girl centered narrative. If it’s too sexist, they think that means veering off in the other direction and making the dynamic stereotypically female and male but in her favor. While still managing to be traditionally sexist. Even the female villains are over the top evil while the men and boys are downplayed as being controlled and taken advantage of or otherwise redeemable. Sometimes I just wish this show had been in better hands to begin with
You are just spot on, anon.
One thing I will say is that I don't think any of this was malicious or intentional. I do believe they were trying to write a feminist narrative that would empower young girls. What I think they didn't understand is that feminism isn't just about women being girlbosses. In their effort to have Marinette be a girlboss, they just gave her the traits that have been traditionally considered "masculine" in media and reduced their female coded character to a damsel in distress. Not to mention the overt sexism in perpetuating the "crazy and controlling woman" stereotype in Chloe, Audrey and Lila, while the men get to have sympathetic motivations and unearned redemptions, and even get to win in the end.
But I don't have anything else to add to your amazing analysis. Thank you for your ask!

I'm that one Anon who is ace FtM and wanted to know about other "FtM"s experiences with risky sex and getting knocked up, and I am Living for all of these people coming forward to either reveal their accidental pregnancy, or confessing how badly they want to be bred!
It reminds me of a fantasy of mine that I recently had that I wanted to share: across the street from my house is a big parking lot and series of stores, so we get a lot of homeless people and panhandlers and the like. And I imagined one day, after work, approaching one of the homeless men and making an offer.
"so I don't carry any cash on me and don't have my wallet, but if you want, we can find somewhere and I can give you a handjob?" and he'd be skeptical at first but eventually shrug and agree. We go to the nearby park (it's late at night so it's empty save for some other sleeping or zoned out homeless people) and I start to jack him off, slowly but surely. I'm a virgin and it shows, and he mocks me for it, and before too long I'm squirming on the bench and soaking wet bc I HAVE to fuck him.
I immediately offer him my dripping wet pussy and he's surprised for a moment bc he couldn't tell if I was a boy or a girl, but that settles it, and he agrees enthusiastically. I love the idea of being fucked in a public bathroom by a stranger, so we pick a place and start to walk over. During the walk I tell him all of my conditions for fucking me: "don't lick me or kiss me. You can give me hickies but only if there somewhere I can hide them, like my shoulders or my chest. Don't fondle my chest, I don't have much feeling there and no breasts anyways. Don't touch my asshole. That's pretty much it"
"there's a convenience store nearby, you got condoms?" He asks gruffly. I blink wide eyes at him as we get to the McDonald's we plan on fucking in the restrooms of. "Oh, I was planning on letting you cum inside of my bare cunt" now he looks surprised by clearly turned on
"shit. You on any--"
"birth control? Nah. But the risk is more than half the fun for me. That's why I don't wanna know your name, and why I'm not taking off my hat or pulling down my mask. If I get knocked up, it's going to be by a total stranger" he doesn't waste any time corralling me into the bathroom. There's a private family room with a door that locks, and no one is paying attention, so we go in there and I quickly pull my pants down to my knees and lean against the wall
"hurry up and fuck me" I pant, and he doesn't even pull his pants down further than bellow mid thigh before he's thrusting his hard cock into me and I'm hiding my moans. He gets closer and I start to whisper "yes yes yes, inside me, cum inside me, knock me up, wanna have a stranger's baby!" and he cums so hard inside of me that we both see white.
I do my best to keep his cum in me, and I thank him. He thanks me as well and then offers to let the other homeless people around here know about me being a bareback cum dump. I get him to ensure they're all clean and agree to come back over the next few weeks, taking dozens of raw loads from strangers inside my unprotected pussy.
In an ideal situation, I would get knocked up, carry to term, deliver my baby, and then wait at least 4 weeks before going out to get pregnant again. But ofc this is a fantasy, and even if I did let a bunch of men raw my pussy, I would likely not get pregnant :(
Thought you and some of your followers would like to hear my thoughts tho ❤️
This particular scenario isn't quite my thing, but posting it for others' enjoyment!
And yes, being the recipient of all those life stories - fertile little "boys" learning that they're going to be mommies, or giving in to their pussies and knowing what the result will be, or just turning from self-respecting "trans men" into frantic bitches in heat - is maybe my favorite part of running this blog.

I don't think people understand that you gotta make mistakes and grow from them by being educated one way or another about how to not make the mistake or why it was a mistake in the first place.
The internet is built around flash in the pan drama and unfortunately that has poisoned the minds of people who mean well on much more important topics.
You see someone sharing an opinion on a topic, that is just horrible; perhaps racist, sexist, or just generally bigoted. Your first instinct is to attack them, lash out; let them know how wrong they are, not why they're wrong; just that they are in fact wrong.
Make sure you really make it clear you want them dead, don't let anyone question that you might sympathize or seek to actually better this individual. They aren't worth it, they won't listen; you know this because the internet tells you so. Others "like them" have already poisoned the well and now you know the rules too well to give this one the time of day.
Prove to them that you are exactly what your enemies make you out to be, prove to them that you see them as nothing more than a horrible immoral person that doesn't deserve respect.
Sure they might come to resent you, they might in fact view everything you stand for in the same light; you may be a detriment to the very movement, people, or thing you stand to defend; but don't let that bother you... look the people on the internet love you, you get notes, you get the dopamine of knowing people think you're cool because you stood up to the bad man.
This is how we are now.
You know when I was probably just 16 I fucked up pretty minorly, like literally for context I'll just admit to this shit openly, don't talk about it much but I need you to understand the scope of this. When I was like 16 I wasn't artistically talented so I just casually traced shit, didn't know it was wrong to do so.
Tumblr however, made it clear I had fucked up, daily anon hate; mostly the generic "kill yourself" and the like; do you know what I learned from that experience?
I learned that I shouldn't listen to those people, who reacts like that? I was a kid, I still didn't know what I had done wrong, no one would explain. I was simply a target for hate; and when I'd ask for advice I'd only get further hate. I had "fucked up" online, and that was that. There was no allowance for growth. I was literally being told to fucking kill myself at 16 because I fucking traced over some deviantart shit. Can we just rationalize that for a second?
Now I need you to understand that this is how we respond to everything on the internet. It just feels far more justified when it's about something that actually matters. But hang on, let me go back a second; what did I just say I learned from that experience? Right, that I shouldn't listen to those people.
You realize the only reason I understood what had happened was because a very good friend of mine at the time sat me down, and I will never forget that the first words she spoke to me were:
"Don't listen to those assholes, it's not a big deal."
Before she ever explained to me what I had done, or why it could be hurtful; or the impact that it could have. Prior to offering me any guidance on how to actually learn art and such so I wouldn't repeat the same problem; the first thing she had to tell me was those people don't deserve to be heard.
And I needed to hear that before I was going to listen to ANYONE about anything at that point, because getting upwards of 30 - 50 anon messages telling me I was a waste of oxygen, that I needed to off myself and just do everyone a favor; that I was a mistake, every hour or so; well let's just say that really doesn't make a kid see your point of view and I don't think it works any better with adults for that matter.
Can you imagine if I didn't have someone like that to set me straight? Do you think I'd have learned anything positive from that situation? Do you think I'd have come out of it understanding what I had done wrong? Absolutely not, I'd have just thought everyone was too sensitive or some shit, whatever bullshit the people who picked me up after would tell me. Oh and that's the thing isn't it, if you make someone a victim; you've done half the work for your opposition to come in and convince this hurt individual that they are in fact correct; that you are in fact a bad person and that this individual needs to side with them because they wouldn't treat them this way.
It's easy to recruit someone who is starved of anything positive, who hasn't heard someone agree or even sympathize with them; someone who was trying to do something good and got burnt for not doing it right.
You know, I really do get it, I absolutely understand the want to just blow up and say some shit. It's fine to have emotional, speak from the heart kinda moments, it's fine. However when you're speaking on an issue that matters, when you're talking about the lives of individuals, when you're discussing what to do and the change that you want to bring you ABSOLUTELY, under no circumstances; lash out.
Because that's exactly what those who want to see you dead are looking for, you cannot afford to give them anything to work with.
It's why I lose my shit every time I see someone at those LGBT rallies screaming and causing a scene and being aggressive. Because that's the very thing people say we are, that's the very thing they use against us; and you're just giving them that, you're just letting them have that. Why? What does it accomplish!? Sure you get to feel like the big man right now, but you're hurting the very cause you stand for, and yea I hear you
"So what, do you want me to shut up and be quiet and do nothing"
NO I want you to conduct yourself like a fucking adult, I want you to show these people who might stand in the middle, who might not pick a side; that everything that a homophobic asshole has to say is wrong; I want you to prove to the world that we're just people, I want you to go forth and show people that, without being exactly the stereotype that's used against us! I want you to stop feeding people more to use against us, I want you to think before you act.
Because here's the truth, I might just be an individual to you, but to someone who sees Natives in a bad light, I could easily become an example of "see this is how Natives act" and you DO NOT give them that, you do not let them make that claim; you do not allow them to use you as an example.
If you are fighting for something, you represent the whole of that entity to those who oppose it, and you CANNOT afford to let them see you as something that isn't reasonable, that doesn't deserve the right to be heard.
You can't afford to be 50 anons in my inbox telling me to kill myself.
You need to meet people on a level they understand, you need to meet them halfway and explain it to them; you need to be willing to educate them even when it's not your fucking job. Because the alternative is being all talk and no action, the alternative is never seeing your goal come to light, the alternative is that we may as well just roll over and die.
When you can't conduct yourself with respect and dignity you act for the opposition. That's just the unfortunate truth. Trust me I've wanted to say some very choice words to some very specific people before, and I have had to remind myself that when I am in a situation where I speak for the whole I cannot allow myself to act on impulse and emotion alone; lest someone make an example of it and use it against everyone who stands with me.
This is why I say we need to educate people, this is why I say we have to approach even conflict with the idea of explaining to uneducated masses the truth about the shit they say.
If someone came to me and told me all Natives were savage killers who can't be civilized and all that shit; sure you absolutely bet I'd love to just knock em cold where they stand. Is that not exactly what they would expect from a savage? Is that not exactly what they expect a Native to do?
Sure I could cause a scene, I could fight; I could yell and scream and make a problem of it. It would only prove them right. Instead I could always educate them, explain things to them.
"But they won't listen."
Doesn't matter then, it's not for them then; it's for everyone who sees it; it's for the masses around us, who see this man approach me telling me Natives are all savages who can't be civil; because the sane among them will see a Native there who can be civil; and suddenly all that man has to say becomes nonsense.
You need to be able to disarm them with understanding, education, and fucking kindness. You need to understand how to make your enemy understand you until they're your friend, and then when it comes time for their actions to take a side, you can bet your ass they'll side with you because it would be insane for them not to; not when they know everything that you know.
We see on the internet, this constant bickering of elementary school kids; just on much more important topics.
We can't discuss shit like politics anymore, it becomes "yes" "no" "yes" "no" "yes" "no" instead of making any real progress one way or another. I know some people are VERY stupid, do you know how many times I've been VERY stupid? How many times I've been uninformed? It's a lot.
It's a LOT, and it's a lot more than I care to admit.
However I was lucky, because I was around people who actually cared about what they were saying, about the messages, about the causes they stood for. I was around good honest people who were understanding, and who taught me better.
Not as someone who was bad and needed to be fixed, but as someone who didn't know any better because I was never taught in the first place.
I was given respect, I was shown kindness, and as such I was better for it.
People talk about "converting people to your cause" and all this shit, that's not it; you don't need to convert someone, once they know what you know they will make up their mind.
If you show them that you are someone worth fighting for, that your cause is in the right; they will fight for you.
I used to be homophobic, it kept me from understanding a lot about myself, it kept me from making some very good friends; it made me a pretty awful fucking person. I didn't know, I had no clue, I didn't understand the scope of what I had been taught. That didn't change until I grew up and met other queer individuals like myself who were able to show me that everything I had known was all homophobic lies.
Not by demonizing me, or "proving me wrong" but by just being good honest people, who meant well; and acted with kindness.
The internet has unfortunately poisoned the way people engage with real social issues; and as I get older it becomes harder and harder to stay quiet about it.
There's a huge difference by the way, between this; and punching a nazi.
You should absolutely punch nazis. I'm not going to say they deserve kindness.
And by that same token, there's a time and place for that sort of militant aggressive push-back. You need to learn where to draw that line, and how to draw that line before you go making an ass of yourself and smearing the name of the cause you stand for.
