I still so pettily have beef with Robbie's writing when it comes to sam he so fucking annoys me yet he is kinda great when you take big picture but yeah sometimes he makes me wanna grab him by the collar and shake him violently

Older/Younger Sister Dynamic

In the trope, A is the oldest and B is the youngest.

The little sister, B, has always envied the oldest (A), fueling a dark rivalry that's been burning for years.

A is determined not to be forgotten by her parents after working so hard to earn their pride and attention before B was born.

Both A and B are deeply affected by their parents' high expectations but in their eyes, the enemy is each other. B always goes for the A's boyfriends (which she succeeds in) and academic positions such as class president, valedictorian, first place, etc (which she fails at, coming in second place for nearly everything).

A is condescending and sarcastic, biting back in a "friendly" and "joking" manner and never surprised by her younger sister's attacks.

But when push comes to shove, A would do anything to protect her sister, usually dangerously and never loudly. And B will always give her the benefit of the doubt and shield her from insults and slander before it even reaches her.

A is a perfectionist obsessed with her image. B is obessed with achievement but couldn't care less about her image and doesn't give a shit that people see her as a snarky know-it-all (because she's usually right). A loves shutting B down and accidentally makes her feel stupid and inadequate. B loves besting A and accidentally reminds her that no matter what she achieves, she'll never be truly loved or even desirable.

B often turns to unhealthy habits and/or addictions to focus or cope. She tends to bulldoze over everyone to get what she wants and still somehow ends up falling short.

A tries to find love everywhere to make up for her own self-hatred and feelings of inadequacy. She spent so much of her formative years vying for her parents' affection that she wasn't really able to get meaningful bonds that weren't purely for her benefit.
