Sandy's boat (exterior and interior) were I think some of the very first things I worked on for Monkie Kid - it was very much my vibe.

been looking through cecil beaton's photography today since im focusing on bright young things as part of one of my portfolio projects! soft faces and dramatic makeup are visually my favourites but technically my most challenging subjects LOLOLOL (more examples below)

also cleaned up the miles maitland profile from last night. figures i would have made a few questionable proportion choices seeing as i blasted through most my research last night 💔💔

Long time no see tumblr!! I hope you will enjoy my recent work from me developing my Nutcracker story for my portfolio, I’m going for a more graphic style and I’m really enjoying it so far, finding ways to simplify as someone who likes detail has been challenging but also satisfying 😌

The lineup is Uncle Drosselmeyer, Clara, Fritz, The Nutcracker, The Rat King, and The Sugarplum Fairy! I’m going for a creepy vibe where Uncle DM is a mad scientist and NC is his Frankenstein monster. I have plans for Clara being a malevolent girl and her and NC having the kind of relationship that reminds you of Miss Darla Dimple and Max from Cats Don’t Dance. The first lineup that I did I liked a lot and I’m not changing much about most of the characters, but a couple of them are too complicated for a TV animation portfolio.

i just counted through my phone gallery and i think there are at least 81 works in my art school portfolio.. 3 of those are sketchbooks and the majority of the rest are bunched together in series'

just thats a very high number kinda wild how much work that is that will never see the light of day again

to all the paintings just laying under my bed forever- i see you (no i don't i need to move 3 pieces of funiture to get to you, but I know you're there and i still treasure you)
