some venture headcannons that i came up with!

Overwatch

- they go by they/he pronouns, but mainly use they/them! (amab)

- they have a few cuts/scars from exploring and from the fights while at overwatch

- they listen to just about anything. goth rock? they have a playlist for it. country? turn the volume up!

- they have dimples! the one of their left side is more prominent than the one on their right :3

- since they speak spanish, if they forget a word in english, they'll say it in spanish so it's like a guessing game to figure out what they're saying (unless you also speak spanish)

- the words that they forget are recurring words, like they'll forget the word spaghetti in english, so they made a list of the spanish word and the english definition next to it. (it's your life saver)

- they've very clingy! but not in the bad way, like, they like to show you off around their coworkers! ex. holding your hand, an arm wrapped around your shoulders/waist, kisses on the check, forehead, nose, lips, hands :}

- if you're the one to kiss/give them attention in front of their coworkers, they easily get flustered and will not shut up about the interaction.

"oh! hana wants to show me something really quick! i'll be back, sloan!" *kisses their cheeks and walks off with hana*

*very flustered* "he...hehe...did you see that? i love my girlfriend/partner so much."

"yes, venture, we saw it."

"she's/they're so pretty."

- will randomly quote a line from a song out of nowhere.

"baby, we can do it, take the time, do it right. bum, bum, bam."

"what was that, sloan?"

"NOTHING!"

- has the coolest rock collection you have ever seen. in your shared bedroom, their side of the room is all rocks, sketches they made while exploring and work related stuff while your side is just all of your interests

- proud 24/7 yapper

- ^ will just talk about work, overwatch/his colleagues, random facts they know/learned

- while the two of you eat dinner, you two will have a yap fest where you just talk about random things! (work, interests, drama, or whatever pops into your heads!)

- they love to paint rocks and gift them to you out of the blue, so you have a small, but growing, collection of painted rocks by your truly

- they used to draw a lot when they were younger, but since they do more rock/structure drawings, their human sketches are a little rough but they will ALWAYS use you in order to improve

- they will paint their nails your favorite color and you will paint your their favorite color, but on your ring fingers, you'll have your favorite color and they'll have their favorite color

- matching tattoos with you :D

- they have some kind of autism, so when they get excited, they'll crack their knuckles, flap their hands around, tap/stomp their feet!

- when you both go to sleep, they'll take all the blankets and hog the whole bed.

"why weren't you in bed when i woke up?"

"hun, you took the whole bed."

"...no i didn't?"

they only do this if they had a long day at work (which is very rare surprisingly)

- apparently them eating rocks is cannon?!😭 but i think they'd also eat those candy rocks, and they LEARNED how to make them at home.

- has a HUGE ASS JAR of rocks and candy rocks.

you took one once and it was an actual rock. (thankfully you didn't chip a tooth unlike sloan)

- they rarely curse, but if they get overwhelmed/overstimulated they'll just shout a random curse word and everyone knows that you are needed immediately.

"ffffFFUCKK!!"

"WHERES Y/N?! SOMEONE GO GET Y/N IMMEDIATELY!"

- they want to get their tongue and ears pierced but is surprisingly scared of needles, so they're holding off the appointments (for some reason it's only piercing needles, they have no problem with tattoo needles)

“val. stop trying to feed her you know if you do it now she’s gonna expect it every time she eats.” he wasn’t wrong, you were babied by the duo and pretty much anyone else who worked with the three vees.

you were a little bunny who loved the color pink and walked around with stuffed animals, who could blame them! you were pretty much referred to as the vee baby bunny.

valentino lowered the fork and you immediately opened your mouth sticking your tongue out hoping it would get him to feed you again, what can you say? you loved being babied.

valentino let out a chuckle before closing your mouth “don’t start conejita, voxxy might get mad that you’re offering.” he said jokingly, which caused you to pout being mad that you trying to be babied was failed and just caused a sex joke out of valentino’s mouth

vox sighed “princess, eat your food yourself you’ve been doing it fine the past year we’ve been together.” you turned to your boyfriend pouting more, hoping he’d baby you instead.

vox just shook his head. “eat yourself or no conning me into tying pink ribbons around your ears anymore.” you immediately went to eat, forgetting that you needed to blow off your food before putting it into your mouth

“ow!!!!” you immediately whined, tears starting to well up in your eyes, as vox sighed and pulled you out of your seat and onto his lap.

“you know sometimes i think you do things like this when you aren’t being babied just so you get babied again.” you shook your head before sticking your tongue out, tongue noticeably red and burnt.

“i’m sorry princess, i told you to eat but i didn’t expect you to just shove it in your mouth like that.” you pouted again. “wouldn’t have happened if i was fed you know.” he let out a sigh again.

“you know i miss when my bunny was my little good girl before she picked up on velvette’s attitude.” you glared up at him which caused him to nod. “that’s what i’m talking about.”

I thought it would be funny if there was an option for shin to pick up the gun instead of keiji during this fight, my friends agreed so I decided to make a quick edit and then the quick edit took me literally two hours. moral of the story there should be more high-quality playthroughs of 3-1a logic

#this was surprisingly really difficult #the screenshot I took was from 3-1a emotion so shin's icon is edited over. which you can kinda see if you squint #I had to add the particle things to the background myself and I nearly went mad trying to make them look natural #I had to erase most of the original screenshot because it had kanna and keiji in it and part of midori's body was covered by keiji's hand #and it just looked like balls overall #I had to add a couple one pixel long lines on top of the dummies' icons. the colors looked slightly off since keiji was in the screenshot #I copied and pasted the sprites from the wiki and spent an unbelievable amount of time trying to figure out what size they should be #I got the size of midori's sprite to match Exactly how it looked in the actual scene and I'm proud of myself for it #and I did it in ms paint because that's what I'm used to #and I'm only now realizing the many many many ways I could have made this easier for myself or made this look better #yttd #kimi ga shine #your turn to die #shin tsukimi #sou hiyori #midori yttd #yttd midori

Fawful Month day 17: 🍭Sweet Dreams

#I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS PICTURE SO BE PREPARED #First of all I'm incredibly proud of how this turned out!! I was really scared of this picture because I just didn't have any ideas #I really wanted to draw Fawful having a terrible nightmare #So I thought of mario and luigi #But I can't draw these two and I felt so drained of my motivation and energy #So I went 'maybe I could bring that drawing of Cacklettas corpse back?' #That would've been too much detail. #And when it finally hit me this drawing was the result. I think it turned out REALLY WELL #I know that the perspective of the gun isn't quite right and the arm might not look good either (I can't tell really) but that doesn't matt #er #I was also thinking about which color I should draw the gun in #This gun works differently from the one in BIS (it kills you instantly through a strong enery blast that works similar to a bullet) #And that version of the gun only exists in my sonas story? Creator Spotlight: @mimimar

Hi! I’m Michelle (Mimimar), an illustrator born and raised in Venezuela, currently based in Italy. I enjoy making colorful illustrations that reflect the things I love: fairy tales, fantasy, tenderness and queer (especially sapphic) stories. Occasionally, I also make paper dolls, comics and animatics. I have a lot of interest in book illustration and I’m currently developing my own stories that I hope to share as an author-illustrator someday!

Did you originally have a background in art? If not, how did you start?

I always enjoyed drawing when I was a kid, but it only became a hobby that I did almost every day when I was around 11. At first I only used traditional mediums, but I decided to make a serious effort to learn how to draw digitally when I was 15, and once I got the hang of it I never stopped!

I didn’t go to art school so all of my learning was done through studying the tutorials and resources that other artists generously share on the internet and lots of practice / trial and error.

How do you want to evolve as a creator?

I want to do many things but what I want to do the most right now is work on books! I want to make art for other authors’ stories and also my own stories as an author-illustrator. I want to grow as a storyteller and create art and stories that will really resonate with people emotionally. I’m always striving to improve my skills as well.

I also really love dolls, so working on doll box art or as a doll designer is something I would love to do someday. I actually have been designing paper dolls on my Patreon for the past few months, it’s been a fun project that is still ongoing right now!

What is one habit you find yourself doing a lot as an artist?

Probably using a lot of purple! It’s my favorite color so I find myself using it a lot. If I can find a way to sneak a little bit of purple into an illustration or a character design then I will.

Congratulations on finishing your Ivy Comic! Did the outcome turn out like how you expected or were there some unexpected bumps along the way?

Thank you! It’s a project that I worked on very slowly in between other art because I wanted to really take my time with every spread and make each of them a fully detailed illustration. I thumbnailed the full comic before starting but I kept changing the sketch for the final spread until the very end! Overall I’m really proud of the end result. I sprinkled a lot of hidden details in every page that I hope some of the readers will notice. For example: the meanings of the flowers in each page represent what the characters are feeling in that moment, and the colors of their wardrobe become gradually lighter as the story progresses to represent their emotions, as well as the changing of seasons.

We’ve noticed that you have created some amazing cover art for TGCF. Is there another series you would like to do something similar with? 

That was another passion project that took some time to complete. Initially, I didn’t intend for them to be specifically covers, it was just a series of illustrations based on the 5 books/main arcs of TGCF. But since they were well-received and I had people telling me they wish they could use them as covers for their books, I decided to rework them into dust jackets for the english translation of TGCF!

I haven’t thought of any other specific series but I love doing cover art so maybe I’ll do something similar again in the future!

What’s your favorite part of your style? Why?

I’ve heard from other people that there’s a delicate quality to my art, this is something that I like a lot! I like pretty things, fairytales and vibrant colors. I think all of these things probably reflect in the art I make as well.

If there is one thing you want your audience to remember about your work, what would it be?

I hope that they remember how it made them feel. Feelings and colors are the two things I give priority to in my work. Most of the time I like depicting tenderness, softness and emotional intimacy. If that could reach the viewer and stay with them it would make me very happy. 

I make a lot of art with queer (mainly sapphic) themes because they’re the kind of stories I personally like and want to see more of, so whenever people tell me that my art has helped them in their journey to discover and accept themselves, or that they see themselves and their partner in my art, it is always extremely meaningful to me. When art that I made to give myself comfort can provide comfort for others, no matter how small, it reminds me once again that despite any hardships art is genuinely worth pursuing.

So many artists! To name a few:  I love @sakizo’s amazing eye for fashion and detail,  @paneeps’ gorgeous style and striking colors,  the sweetness of @bevsi’s art,  @vickisigh’s pretty colors and concepts,  @idledee’s warm and heartfelt art,  @littlestpersimmon’s dreamy wonderful art,  and @loish has been an inspiration for as long as I can remember.
