I put in long hours, driving miles,away from my daughter. To be booked as professional model for hotel chain is my pride and joy because my name is my integrity.My experiences, credentials are my reputation, professionalism and hardwork. Companies book me because they see talent,reccomendations of my name. My disability is a part of me and i am not ashamed of who i am. I don't get booked because i am for tokenism. It is important to me that does not happen because every part of me wants disability included and representation matters but companies should always work with people by looking at their skills,talents, experiences and credentials and if its for modeling and acting of course training and model images. My disability, my wheelchair is not my talent. My disability is part of my life,my health. My wheelchair are my legs and extension of me,my lifeline. To exclude my legs your ostracizing me and dehumanising me because your discriminating me for being different . My wheelchair is with me for life,if i did not have a wheelchair i would be dead within 6 months and that's medical fact. Please see my wheelchair as they are your legs. They are my freedom to move, have the independence to live freely.
