Very very weird ask, but tips for somebody who's turning 20😭

It's so weird saying it even, I never thought I would live for this long but I did, and it's happening, and it's freaking me the hell out😭

Hey!! First of all, not a weird ask at all, 20 is a crazy age and I really hope you don't regret asking me because I have a lot to say haha and secondly, I am very happy you are still here and don't be scared of turning 20💛

the early twenties are often quite complicated; you will notice that your body once again starts to change a little (it is what people call the second puberty) and you finally really start to grow into your body

which brings me to the point that you have to understand at this age that all you do (make-up, workout, buying clothes) is for yourself and for yourself only. you don't have to be pretty for anyone else, if you feel comfortable in your own skin then it is perfect. and i know this is hard to understand and then realise, because society tells you something else. but you don't have to look a certain kind of way for anyone and most definitely not for men.

then early twenties is a time where comparision will once again start and come in at full force -- in school you and your friends are always on the same level of education, you do the same classes/courses etc.; once you are at university or start working it will be different (others have a job already, others graduate, you might take longer or you are faster) and so it is so very important that you don't compare yourself to others

your worth is not measured by how well or poorly you are doing in comparison to others

you should never feel pressured into reaching a certain kind of level you think you should have reached at that age, do everything at your pace and enjoy your life - this is your life, and yours only

friends is also a big topic - you will most likely lose some friends on your way and that is alright, some friends are not friends for life, but you will also meet new people, wonderful and amazing people that you will have for many years, maybe your whole lifetime from then on

And very lastly, I want to tell you that a lot will change in your early twenties and a lot will happen but you always have to remember that you are good the way you are, perfect in your own way, and this is your life. You decide the pace of how to do things, you decide what you do and what you want to do. Life may seem tough from time to time, and maybe not only aeem but be, but it will get better, I promise you. surround yourself with good people, and try to find something good and positive every day💛

Favorite canon ship. 

alright. i am a big ship lover, because this show is nothing if not full of great relationships, so it's hard to pick. i could say arthur and gwen, because i do adore them and they are such a big part of the storyline, but that is also the same reason why i'm tempted to not pick them. i think maybe gwen and lancelot. there was always something so sweet about them, especially in the beginning and i absolutely love their dynamic. they are both so charismatic with their courage, their kind-hearted and quiet chaos, i think they are great. also, perhaps freya and merlin, because that storyline broke me and is so special to me overall.

2. Favorite non canon ship.

see now. you might not believe me based on the length of the previous answer, but this one's even harder for me, because nothing is off the table and all of it is lovely. there's no way i can go without mentioning merthur, because they are everything to me. there's so much between them - large tragedies and small moments in a constant loop and it drives me crazy, i could talk about them for days. similarly, there's merwenthur, which is just!!!! there's so much to be done with that. but now i'm just listing ships, because merwaine? morgana and gwen? every single one has something that i makes me want to pick them. but for the sake of it i'll stick with merthur, because i'm never not thinking about them.

35. Myth you're glad hadn't been adapted in Merlin?

i honestly don't know as much about the myths and the legends as i'd like to, especially because i avoided all things arthurian, including merlin itself, for so long, knowing it would drive me mad. so. this won't be as nuanced of answer unfortunately. for right now, i'll stick to what i know which is themes. merlin was already somehow so very dark for technically being a kids show and there was not a single moment where i didn't appreciate the light and jokes and warmth they gave us. i think if it had been any darker than it was it would be a very difficult watch. which is not to say it would be bad, not at all, but i don't know, i think the balance was nice. there were much darker things they could've explored and it would've been interesting to see, but i liked their approach.

again, sorry for the vague answers, i have a hard time picking certain things, but thank you for asking!!!
