thinking about steve answering the door of eddie’s trailer after staying the night, wearing just boxers and eddie’s hellfire shirt. his hair is a mess and he’s all sleep-soft, there’s definitely a few hickies on his neck, he’s rubbing at his eyes and yawning, and he definitely just woke up.

he opens his eyes to see max’s shocked face right as it turns into a knowing smirk. he groans; she’s going to be absolutely insufferable about this.

steve can hear eddie bumbling around the trailer behind him, and responds to eddie’s yell of who is it? with an eye roll and it’s mayfield!

the noise from inside stops and eddie wanders to the door, peeking over steve’s shoulder with narrowed eyes.

“whaddya want, red?”

max smirk grows when she sees eddie looking similarly rumpled, and she shrugs.

“i was gonna ask for a ride but clearly you two are busy so,” she snickers, “i’ll ask again later.”

with that she turns and walks down the porch steps, leaving them staring after her in confusion.

steve closes the door behind him and leans against it, his hands covering his burning face.

eddie, assuming that steve is panicking about max knowing, tries to reassure him.

“red wont tell anyone until you’re ready, i’ll make sure of it.”

steve looks up incredulously, mind buffering before he realizes what eddie thinks is happening.

“they all already know i like guys,” he waves away eddie’s concern, “it’s not that.”

“what is it then?” eddie asks, lost.

steve blushes and says “that was so fucking awkward! we totally look like we hooked up!”

“well,” eddie argues, “we did.”

steve groans and pushes eddie’s grinning face away.

“you know what i mean asshole.”

“you owe me ten dollars,” max crows into the walkie.

dustin screeches "what?!?" right as max holds the walkie away from her ear (it's instinct at this point whenever she radios dustin).

"ten dollars, dustybun!"

"how- when- MAX??" dustin splutters.

max just laughs and turns off the walkie; he'll figure it out eventually

Felix cracked his eyes open to the bright morning light and appreciated the fact that he wasn't hungover. Because your and his daughter was absolutely screaming bloody murder next to his head. She was still only about 4 months old so you got anxious about letting her leave your side. Even if it was just to her own crib. So the bassinet next to his head had to do for now.

Hearing your baby's scream, you started awake. "Wh-what's wrong?!" Felix grunted as he stood and stretched. "Nothing babe, squish is just hungry. Go back to sleep, okay? I'll get her a bottle." You nodded and snuggled back into the blankets.

"I know sweetheart, I know you're not happy that your tummy is rumbly. Daddy's going as fast as he can alright." He whispered as he held a screaming Juliet in his arms taking her to the kitchen in your tiny shared flat just outside of Oxford's campus.

Felix worked on autopilot on this point. He was pretty sure he was sleepwalking at this point as he prepared the tiny bottle and gave it to his daughter and immediately brought the little girl back to your big bed. "Yeah, you wanna snuggle in mommy and daddy's big bed?" Felix walked over to his side of the bed and put the baby in the bed between the two of you.

You stretched, your eyes still closed. "Is that my baby? Morning Juju bee!" You smiled as you laid your arm across Juliet's belly as Felix fed her her bottle. "She was one hungry girl." Felix said as he adjusted the bottle so he could sit up better. You laughed. "I heard..." You turned on one of Juliet's favorite baby shows for her.

Juliet finished off her bottle and Felix picked her up and laid her against his shoulder, criss crossing his legs and patting her back gently. "Can you burp for me please bubba?" Juliet squealed in protest. "Oh, I know you hate this part..." Felix said as he continued patting the baby's back over his shoulder.

You watched your boyfriend be a dad. He did a total 180 change since he found out you were pregnant with little Juliet and you fell in love with him a little more every day since your daughter was born and watched him step up to be a dad to your little girl.

"Oh there we go sweet girl..." Felix laid the little girl back on his pillow and she snuggled in, going right back to sleep. "Ooooh, you're gonna go right back to sleep after waking mommy and daddy up?" Felix looked to you and gestured as if to say 'can you believe her? look at this!' You giggled.

"You can go back to bed baby, I got her." You shook your head. "No, I like these little memories with our baby. Lay back down, get some cuddles. She'll only be this little once."

Felix nodded. "You're right, she's growing everyday." Felix moved Juliet a little closer to you so that she could lay between you two better while he could also lay down. The baby stirred but thankfully didn't wake up fully again. Felix laid down and laid his arm across his daughter. You kissed the side of your daughters head. "Mommy and daddy love you, Juju... have a good nap sweet girl." You smiled as Felix held your hand.

"Thank you for making this little family with me. I like this version of me a lot better than the old one." Felix said as he watched your daughter sleep. "You're welcome. Thank you for being the best dad to her." Felix smiled. "Of course, I'll do anything for you two."

It's gonna be a collection of mornings where Buck wakes up next to Eddie, starting with after Dosed, then moving on to Buck's recovery from the ladder truck the day after he gets out of hospital, to the morning after the tsunami, to the morning after Eddie begins, to the morning after Eddie's first night home post shooting, to the morning after Eddie's breakdown, to the morning after Buck gets home from the hospital post lightning, to the morning after their first kiss, to the morning after the first time they slept together, to the morning after their wedding, to the morning after the birth of their first child, and one final morning where they are old and grey and cute.

And they're just gonna be short, and fuzzy, and show them falling in love with one another through the medium of bedsharing (with some nightmares). There is potential for some non-trauma related bedsharing too lol but we shall see!!! It is only Vibes at this point hehe
