Im 17 and my bf is almost 22. His dad died a few days ago and he has been drinking a lot kinda ignoring me when we are out with people and kinda being mean and i understand he is angry but idk how to be there for him. Im not mad i just need to know what i should do ?? Thanks xox

omg i’m so sorry, stuff like that is always terrible and heartbreaking to go through. Honestly, I would just be there to support and remind him that you’re there if he needs anything. Everyone always deals with the pain of losing someone differently and there are many stages of grief. I would talk to him, just ask him what he needs and talk about his feelings because holding in the pain is never good for anyone. But for you, don’t take things too personally if he’s ignoring you or being mean, he’s in pain and grieving and lashing out sometimes happens. I’ve experienced it, but the important thing is to just be at his side and be there for him. Talk to him if he wants, and ask him what you can do to help
