1st scene piqued my interest

And 3rd got me fully invested in the ship

Shadow either looking at the ground trying to avoid eye-contact with everyone, or he's just staring at Sonic's hand like *huh, ok*

Contrast in expressions:

Question: have we ever seen a look quite like this before on Shadow in regards to Sonic? Like, it's hard to describe but his expression seems subtly different from all the others and I can't recall ever seeing it before. It's a unique expression that l'd dare say is soft in Shadow's own way

I really really wanna talk about this clip here, because I truly don't think people caught the subtlety of this scene's power.

Nine immediately going for the snarky comment, his usual demeanor to show off that he's cool, he's a loner, he doesn't need anyone.

However, when Sonic makes the correction, saying, "No, I-I mean, I always thought your extra tail was cool, but the metal ones? Man, you're amazing!", for a second you can see the genuine surprise on his face. He's so shocked that someone appreciates something that brought him so much misery that he literally does not know how to respond, responding with a nonchalant "Uhhh, sure..."

He's so surprised, but you can see the second he realizes he unmasked his uncaring nature, forcing himself back into his barricaded facade.

Maybe other people haven't caught it because it's so subtle, but as a person who had to barricade myself away like that,

I understand Nine completely.

So okay the majority of us agree on these things about Sonic Prime right?

Rebel Rouge and Renegade Knuckles are DEFINITELY together and would die for each other

Nine is an angsty baby that deserves to be protected and have a happy ending (please Netflix I swear to god)

Also Sonic seeing every version of Tails gets him in protective big brother mode and the impact that has on Tails is adorable

Rusty Rose must have some of OG Amy's compassion in there but her transformation in part robot probably hid that aspect of her personality in the programming

Shadow was waiting in the void for God knows how long, calling for Sonic with the mere purpose of beating the shit out of him

Sonic must have some neurodivergency (ADHD maybe?) and there is NO way he's straight

About that one ⬆️. Seriously, all the ships got fuel and all showed chemistry and/or tension. ALL. OF. THEM. HOLY SHIT (also I'm a Multishipper now, thanks Sonic Prime

Now being more specific about each character I'd say:

Rouge is cunning in every universe

Tails is baby in every universe

Amy is down for murder in every universe

Knuckles is strong-willed in every universe

Big... has Froggy in every universe

Sonic's strength are his friends, in every universe
