What if they bonded over a snack then fell in love in like 30 minutes
A baby clexa au because this is the only world i can possibly imagine this happening in
///
Clarke wipes a small, dirt-crusted hand across the knees of her overalls as she waits, blinking into the bright sunshine that beats down on her french braids. Once neat and lovingly tied with blue ribbons when she boarded the bus this morning, they were now messy from a morning of running around in class, the wind playing with the baby-fine blonde wisps that had fought their way out of the careful plaiting. Tiny velcro shoes tapped impatiently against the crumbling asphalt, the sound of laughing school children floating through the air as Clarke craned her head back to watch the birds flap flap flapping their wings away, a tiny black v in the blue sky.
Mummy said that they flew away from the cold, heading south (where Nana and Poppa lived) because they didn’t like the cold. Dad tapped Clarke’s nose when she said that, mentioning that Mummy would like to fly with them somewhere warm. Mommy dried her hands on a dishtowel, responding with an eye roll that Daddy wouldn’t know a beach vacation if it bit him in the rhymes-with-grass.
Whatever that meant.
Heavy breathing popped up next to Clarke’s ear as she whipped her head down, her gaze meeting bright green eyes. Lexa impatiently shoving away her sweaty bangs as she plopped triumphantly next to Clarke, waving her prize in the air, the crinkle of thin plastic making  tiny ears perk up.
“Anya said I could have hers,” Lexa whispered gleefully as she held the extra dessert aloft. In the distance a lanky fourth grader watched the two kindergarteners with a small smile before going back to playing tetherball with her friends, always keeping an eye on the duo.
Keeping an watch out for the recess monitor Mr. Pike, Clarke waved impatient pudgy fingers in the air as Lexa danced around her best friend, tiny green corduroy pants cuffed neatly, black top somehow spotless despite their morning of making paper maché bowls around deflating balloons. Clarke’s white t-shirt was coated in glue beneath her jean overall straps, a small amount of purple also stuck to a flushed cheek.
Lexa squeezes into the swing next to Clarke, giggling as Clarke balances a careful arm around a petite frame.
“You got it,” Clarke whispers with awe, eyes glued to the small brownie studded with bright colored candies. Lexa nods in affirmative as tiny hands scrabble to pull open the wrapper. Unable to master it, she hands it over to Clarke with a pout. Clarke unwraps her hand from around Lexa without complaint, pulling the tab and happily handing the prize back to the victor.
Lexa’s smile splits her freckled face as she carefully splits the brownie in half, handing half to Clarke. They two eat in content silence for a moment, Clarke licking frosting off her fingers as Lexa savors hers.
Clarke lands a sticky kiss on Lexa’s cheek, the recipient flushing crimson as she places a revenant hand on the place where clumsy lips met skin.
“Thanks, Lexa,” Clarke breathes as she leans a content head against a bony shoulder. Lexa merely nudges her head against Clarke’s, both stacked in the worn swing, gangly limbs entangled so it was hard to tell where one girl started and the other ended.
Sixth grade science teacher Raven stood with Octavia, both biting back smiles as they watched the two girls fondly.
“I can’t separate them,” Octavia sighed in mild frustration, the tugging of her lips giving away her true feelings. “They’re glued at the damn hip.”
Raven raised her coffee to her lips, speaking into the metal rim as she nudged the kindergarten teacher playfully.
“We were the exact same way, O. Now we’ve been dating for six years. Who knows where they will end up?”
Octavia raised her eyes as she watched the pair, Clarke now pushing Lexa on the swing as she squealed with laughter with every push.
“I have no idea where they’ll be when they’re our age, Rae. But I bet you a hundred dollars that they’re together.”
The two women smiled quietly as they stood side by side, the beautiful fall day sparkling around them.

Here are the themes that won for the upcoming Clexaweek23! If you would like to participate, just create something (write a fic, draw some art, make a moodboard, a video edit, you name it!) that somehow involves that particular theme. Whether you create or not, please participate by supporting each other! :) Reblog posts instead of just liking, and leave nice comments on content!
Day 1: Monday, February 27th - Childhood Friends
Clarke and Lexa were friends as children! Example: maybe Clarke and Lexa have been glued at the hip since they were five years old. They went to school together, then college, and now they have an apartment together. They don’t really understand why everyone assumes they’re dating; or why they seem to get so jealous when the other person IS dating. Maybe Clexa were best friends in elementary school, until Lexa moved away. Now they’re in their thirties, Clarke is a divorced single mother, and she’s shocked when she realized that her kid’s teacher is none other than her childhood best friend. Maybe Lexa had a very difficult childhood and Clarke was the first friend she ever made, until Lexa was forced to move away; years later, they meet again in a support group, both having lost their partners. Maybe they were best friends until a falling out in middle school; awkward moment when they realize they’re roommates!
Day 2: Tuesday, February 28th - Secret Relationship
Lexa and Clarke in a secret relationship with each other. Examples: Are Clexa rivals in public but besotted behind closed doors? Is Clarke secretly dating her best friend’s sister which is totally off-limits? Is Lexa hiding the fact that she’s been dating her ex’s ex? Is Clarke secretly dating her best friend’s worst enemy?
Day 3: Wednesday, March 1st - Fake Dating
The opposite of day 2! Clarke and Lexa are pretending to date. Examples: Maybe Lexa desperately needs a date to bring home for the holidays to get her mom off her back, so who better to ask than the cute girl she keeps running into at her favorite coffee shop? Maybe Clarke needs some temporary arm-candy to make an ex jealous! Maybe Clarke is trying to impress a boss who seems to only want to hang outside of work with a couples’ date, so she convinces Lexa to pretend to be her girlfriend and come out to dinner with her unbearable boss because she REALLY needs that promotion!
Day 4: Thursday, March 2nd - Accidents Happen!
I put together Accidental Kiss and Accidental marriage/relationship since they’re so close together. Bottom line is Clexa accidentally do SOMETHING. Maybe they’re rivals on the same sports team and are so swept up in the euphoria of their win that they kiss right there on the field! Or maybe they’re strangers who wake up in Vegas and are horrified to realize they’re married. Maybe Lexa’s wife left her at the alter because she claims Lexa will never love her as much as she loves someone else. A devastated Lexa has no idea what she means, but she already paid for the honeymoon so why not take her best friend Clarke with her? Except oops, in the morning they wake up hungover and naked and the ring Lexa had bought Costia is on Clarke’s finger. Maybe Clexa are just fuck buddies, friends with benefits - except one day they realize oops, it’s been ten months and I have my own drawer space at your place and my own toothbrush and shit are we dating, are we living together??
Day 5: Friday, March 3rd - Friends or foes?
Both Enemies to Lovers and Friends to Lovers tied, so what does that mean? We do both! You can choose to use one of these, or do both! Examples: Maybe Lexa HATES her neighbor Clarke, who always seems to wake her up in the middle of the night because she apparently can’t paint without listening to music. Maybe Clarke is Lexa’s best friend Clarke HATES her neighbor that always seems to throw rowdy parties, and she lets her know that (and later, makes the horrifying discovery that this woman, Lexa, is not even the actual neighbor; it’s Lexa’s sister, Anya). Maybe Clarke and Lexa are work friends until Lexa’s given a promotion that Clarke deserved, and now she hates her. Maybe they’re allies in a war until Lexa takes a deal and leaves Clarke to dry. Maybe Lexa hates Clarke, who broke her best friend’s heart - except then she realize Clarke is actually super nice and they’re friends now and maaaaybe Lexa looks at her lips too much.
Day 6: Saturday, March 4th - Workplace Romance
Clexa at work! Examples: Are they rival farmers? Are they firefighters who can’t keep their cool around each other? Do they both contribute at the local farmer’s market and their stalls are right next to each other but they’re both too useless to actually make a move? Does Clarke get hired to paint a mural in Lexa’s cafe? Is Clarke an ER doctor and Lexa the cute EMT that picks terrible times to flirt with her? Are they coworkers at some company kept vague bc all we’re focusing on is the opportunities that await us once all the items have been swept off the desk?
Day 7: Sunday, March 5th - Free Day
For free day, you can do anything you want. You can choose a theme that didn’t win. You can even use it as an Update Your WIP day!
Here are the guidelines for participating.
I posted this on November 11th; we have exactly 3 months and 17 days until Clexaweek23! :)
So excited to see all the new creations! Leida!

Write whichever ship you want! (Unless someone else suggests one. Or you could always do a random one)
Clexa it is! (haha)
"This trip is meant for mending fences and coming together!" The Raiders coach yelled above the din of the two teams disembarking from their buses and walking into the makeshift summer camp.
“After you have found your bags, come to me for your room assignments!” The Hawks assistant coach yelled, her clipboard pressed tightly to her chest.
Clarke grabbed her backpack and single suitcase and walked over to figure out which Raider she would have to tolerate for three days of bonding.
“Griffin, Room 13 with Woods!” The coach announced so loudly that Clarke’s heart felt like it had stuttered over several beats. Both teams stopped what they were doing. Putting Clarke with the other captain was like putting oil and water together as far as they were concerned. They despised each other and it would be hard to make any bonding happen if the leaders tried to kill each other in their sleep. Clarke felt a strong and bright heat creep up to her cheeks and neck as she took the key from her outstretched hand.
Clarke walked toward the mess of cabins at the center of the grass field without looking back at the group. She had no desire to lock eyes with her cabinmate. The two teams that were involved in this little bonding trip did not like each other. That hatred was fueled mainly by the two leaders of either team.
The Raiders and Hawks had always been rivals. But once Lexa Woods and Clarke Griffin took captain spots last year, the rivalry had intensified to nuclear standards.
Clarke heard lightfoot falls running behind her and didn’t have to turn around to know that Lexa was jogging to catch up.
“Clarke, wait up!” Lexa called and Clarke heard howls and jeering from the group.
“What the fuck, Lexa!” Clarke spun around on her heels, her face still red and her jaw now clenched tightly. “Do you have to make this more of a spectacle than it already is?”
“Lexa stopped just short of where Clarke stood and lifted her arms up defensively. “Whoa, I was just trying to get out of this heat. Sorry, didn't know it was a whole thing to get to my bed.”
Clarke rolled her eyes and turned back to continue her walk to their cabin. She crossed her arms over her chest and let out a quick breath.
“Bullshit, you knew what you were doing.” Clarke grumbled, fumbling with the old key and lock system. “I just want to survive this and finish my senior year so I can get the fuck out of this place.”
The door finally creaked open and Clarke walked in taking the bunk on the far right side.
“Hate it that bad here?” Lexa asked, walking in and avoiding the other beds that were further from Clarke’s and putting her bag on the one right next to where she had chosen.
“Fuck you. You made me hate it here.” Clarke growled, getting up and moving over the the bed on the far left.
Lexa got up and followed Clarke, this time not sitting on the bed next to Clarke but jumping down next to her on the same bed.
A loud crack echoed inside the cabin and the center of the mattress they were sitting on buckled and fell in.
Both girls jumped up and Lexa moved over to sit on the bed across from the broken bed.
“Because I didn’t want to be hidden away for four years?” Lexa asked, slamming herself down on the bed and looking up at Clarke.
Clarke’s fists were balled up at her side as she walked over to Lexa. “You didn’t fucking care when it mattered to you, too.” Clarke sat down on the bed with such force that the wooden side of the bed frame splintered, sending both of them to the ground.
Lexa jumped up and without pausing walked over to the bed on the right closest to the door.
“It never fucking mattered to me, Clarke. I loved you more than all this shit.” Lexa sat on the bed and crossed her arms over her chest. The sting of tears on the edges of her words.
Clarke got up and walked over to Lexa. She stood in front of her and looked down with intense eyes. “Everything in my life has come with a condition. How the fuck am I suppose to know this god damn relationship wasn’t going to cost me more than I had?” Clarke almost jumped off her feet before landing next to Lexa on the bed. The old frame basically buckled on the stress. Both girls got up and eyed the only other bed left in the small wooden cabin.
“I don’t know what else I can say to make you understand how much I love you.” Lexa got up from the destroyed bed and gently sat on the last remaining bed in the cabin.
Clarke got up and moved to the only door out and turned the brass lock. She moved toward the bed Lexa was sitting on and sat next to her.
“Why don’t you show me?” Clarke whispered, leaning in close to her ex.

Clexa World Cup one-shot
Read on Ao3
0000
The crowd erupted in uninhibited joy, an energy that gained momentum as it spread like wildfire through tears, hugs, and the raw volume of primal elation.
After 16 years, a new generation brought the national team to a World Cup semi-final.
Lexa’s laughter was loud and unfamiliar, a childish joy taking over her body. Her teammates carried her over their shoulders, an ovation to the hero that found an impossible shot outside the box at 115 minutes. So Lexa smiled, and laughed, and bathed in sticky gatorade until Anya whispered in her ear, “They’re in.”
The speed that Lexa’s expression closed into its usual stoic stare of the “Commander” was so fast that Anya did a double take.
They were in, as expected.
But now Lexa was in, and Anya, and an entire team behind them after a historical comeback against a European powerhouse.
That meant Lexa would play the game of her life against the love of her life.
0000
“Griffin! Griffin!”
Clarke redid her ponytail as she waited for the reporter to catch up with her at the side of the field. The deafening crowd had slowed after their hard won victory and celebrations of once more being classified for the world cup semi-finals. The reporter, a beautiful redhead that didn’t reach Clarke’s shoulders even on heels, spoke hurriedly into the microphone, “Clarke Griffin, congrats on the victory and classification! You had to work hard today to achieve this!”
“Thank you, and as always, it was a team effort.” Clarke rolled her shoulder, a little stiff after the dive at the end of the second half. “We’re all excited that we’re one step closer to our goal.”
“And how are you feeling about facing Lexa next week?”
Clarke blinked hard, focusing on the little dip of the reporter’s lips as she processed the words. “I, I mean I—”
“Their game went to extra time, and Lexa scored in the second half.” The reporter smelled blood in the water and smirked, the camera missing the glint in her eyes as she said, “You’ll be facing your wife in the semifinal. How do you feel about that?”
Clarke’s shoulder ached.
“My goal remains the same,” she said in a neutral tone. “We always knew that was a possibility, and I will give 100% to my team. Thank you.” She ignored the follow-up questions and headed straight to the tunnel, following the chant of “the champion is back” echoing in their locker room. She distributed high fives with her good arm and looked around until she found dark, worried eyes. Behind the wall of red, white and blue celebration, Clarke whispered to Raven, “Are they in?”
“Yeah,” the physical preparator responded. Raven looked happy, but there was an apprehension in her tone. Her wife had assisted Lexa’s goal, after all. “Lexa. Anya’s assist.” They both chuckled dryly.
“Fuck,” Clarke whispered. “Okay. I got this. We got this. Right?”
Raven touched Clarke’s sensitive shoulder, frowning when the 6’1” keeper hissed. “Yeah, it’s just our marriages on the line. They will get over the defeat, eventually. How’s the shoulder?”
“Coach won’t let us see them until the game, will he?”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea, Clarke.”
Someone jumped on Clarke’s back, their bubble of privacy bursted with a sharp “whoop!” yelled at her year.
“Clarke Griffin, our savior!” Octavia hugged her keeper again before jumping down her back. “I thought we were done with that penalty kick!”
“Never.” Today was a day to celebrate. She would worry about her marriage and their game tomorrow.
And Lexa would be fine. She could handle Lexa.
“Never,” Clarke repeated and shared one last look with a worried Raven.
0000
The press coverage had doubled over Clarke. Avoiding questions was getting hard, so at the press conference after their last practice, Clarke sat down in front of the flashes and microphones.
“Is the fact that Lexa is your wife going to affect your game?” The first question came from the back of the room. Clarke gritted her jaw.
“No. I’m a professional, and so is Lexa, and we will act like it.”
“You and Lexa play different positions, but these past few days, your stories have been compared. How do you feel about that?”
Clarke took a deep breath before answering. “We have unique backgrounds, as a lot of other players from her country and mine do. I acknowledge our privileges, but I don’t discount my team’s talent. This is the World Cup. Nothing else matters.”
“You play on the same team back home and you haven’t played against Lexa since before you were married.” The journalist who asked was the same redhead from after the game, sitting a couple of rows in front of Clarke. “Do you think this time playing against her will weigh on your performance?”
Clarke saw the opportunity and took it. “Nothing weighs on my performance.” She stood up, a clear signal the interview was over. “You can ask Lexa about that.”
The room broke into laughter, and Clarke walked to the back exit. Her hands prickled with sweat.
0000
“Amanda, what a game! No goals on regular time and a thrilling one-on-one in extra time. Now we’re heading for penalties to decide who will move forward to the final. And do you see that line of players there?”
“Oh, I see it, and everyone should know that this goes beyond a historical comeback for the South American team, but involves some of the player’s personal lives too!”
“Tell the fans!”
“You see, Clarke Griffin, the celebrated newcomer goalkeeper, is actually married to Lexa Woods, who won the Ballon d’Or last year, and we’re seeing Lexa lining up to take the last shot.”
“That means that, if it comes to it, Lexa will decide the classification shooting a penalty against her wife?”
“Yes, Peter, that’s exactly what that means! Seems like someone will sleep on the couch tonight!”
“Any bets on who wins this penalty shoot-out?”
“Ontari is a great goalkeeper, but Griffin has solidified her spot as the starter keeper in the team with the best defense in the championship. So my money is on Griffin.”
“Even against her wife?”
“Griffin is a stable player, and she has played against Lexa in their home league before, so yeah, even then.”
“But everything is different in a world cup. My bet is on the latinas. Lexa and Anya have what it takes to bring this new generation to another final. The referee is calling the teams to the center, so it’s about to start! Good luck to both teams!”
0000
Blood pumped loudly in Clarke’s ears. The fans behind her goal yelled all kinds of profanities and slurs, the side strategically chosen when Anya won the coin flip. She ignored the yelling and name calling, her focus on the game, defending two shots, taking both teams to another round of shoot-outs.
She had to admit that Ontari was having the match of her life, and she could also catch two shots, equalizing their numbers. Clarke bit her lip as Harper missed her shot well above the post. The crowd yelled, that unlawful volume powered by revenge.
Clarke knew they were the team to be beaten, and now it was in her hands to prove that. The referee approached her and said something. She didn’t understand a single word, but assumed it was the usual line warning and nodded, walking to her spot. She opened her arms, glanced forward, saw Octavie cheering her own, the classic “you got this” on her lips.
And then she saw green.
Lexa walked from the middle of the field, looking straight at her, her pace calm and calculated.
The woman walking down the field was not Lexa Woods, her best friend, wife, lover, mother of their girls.
That was The Commander, the ruthless striker that made her name as the best player in the world after a hard childhood in a country that didn’t care about women’s sports. Lexa had carved her name playing barefoot against boys twice her size while Clarke was being driven to practices in a new, clean SUV. The Commander was forged under fire and criticism against the super-performing men’s team, and each defeat meant a torrent of critics that Clarke herself had never faced. But Clarke had taken the opportunities given her. She had made her name and proven herself. She deserved to be here just as much as Lexa did.
She had defended five of Lexa’s shots throughout the game, and now she was ready to defend one more.
Lexa kissed the ball before adjusting it at the penalty mark, an oddity for the striker. The sound behind the goal died as Lexa took one, two, three steps back, grass staining her cheeks, her brightly colored shirt speckled with mud and sweat.
Clarke grit her teeth and saw the minute shift of Lexa’s hips.
Left.
The referee blew the whistle. Lexa ran for the call with a furious, deadly expression. Clarke jumped. Left, left, left.
Air left Clarke’s lungs as she fell on the grass, the heavy scent of earth filling her nose as she skidded to a stop.
For one moment, there was silence.
Then the crowd behind her exploded, the vibrations of the entire stadium shaking her to her core.
She looked up and looked back.
When she turned her face to the field, Lexa was already back with her teammates, being received with open arms and tears.
Her own teammates had tears in their eyes, too.
She looked back at the ball, now innocently immobile, nested securely inside the net.
“Fuck,” she whispered, her gloved hands clawing the grass, leaving blunt marks.
“Hey.” Octavia had jogged her way to her. “You okay?”
No. She wasn’t okay. Her shoulder burned, her career would be in check as “the woman who crumbled in front of her wife”, her eyes stung, and fuck, she needed a hug from the one person she couldn’t have one right now.
“Yeah.” She lied, stood up. “Sorry.”
“Fuck that. You did great. Next time.”
“Next time.”
0000
The clicking sound of cleats against the hard floor echoed in the hallway.
A security guard made his way to Lexa, but seeing who she was, he let her go through the back door.
Lexa sighed in relief at the sight of the bus still parked, running and ready to go, but women clad in white suits still boarding it. It was hard to miss Clarke, the tall, strong woman like a pristine marble statue, as she waited at the end of the boarding line.
Lexa, in her muddy uniform, stopped as every single player looked at her. The personal security from the national team made his way to her, but the coach waved him off. No other player made a comment as Clarke stepped away from the line and met Lexa, who remained on the other side of the separating ropes. The media was not there yet; no cameras, no prying eyes besides Clarke’s team.
“Hi,” Lexa said, and she really wanted to wipe away the smile from her face, but it was impossible. They had been celebrating their spot at the final with the crowd, and by the time she could slip away, Clarke was ready to go back to her hotel.
“Hi.” There was a small smile on Clarke’s lips, a little sad and defeated, and Lexa wanted to kiss it away.
“I—”
“Congratulations,” Clarke forced out, shrugging her shoulders. “That was a great shot.”
“Babe, I—”
“I love you,” Clarke cut her. “But… just give me tonight, okay? Tomorrow morning is my last day with the team and I’ll join my mom and the kids at their hotel.”
Lexa swallowed and nodded. There was so much joy within her, but that broken expression in Clarke’s eyes was making it hard to remember why she should be happy at all.
“I love you too.” Lexa extended her hand, a peace offering. Clarke took it, and Lexa pulled her a little closer, kissed her fingers. They were red, taped, and the pinkie was swollen. A goalkeeper’s hand. “Please don’t be mad.”
Clarke barked a laugh and pulled her wife into a hug. Lexa breathed, relieved, burying her face in her wife’s chest. “I’m not mad at you,” Clarke said, but her voice shook. “But I’m a sore loser, you know that.”
Lexa took a deep breath of Clarke’s perfume and grimaced at seeing the mess she made in her wife’s immaculate white suit. “You were always my greatest challenge.”
“We’ll talk again in four years.”
“Griff.” A voice called from behind them, and they turned to see Octavia calling her teammate from the bus, and every single player in the bus watching them from the windows. While Raven waved at Lexa, Octavia flipped her off with a smile. “We gotta go. And you better crush those stupid Germans in the final, Lexa.”
“You bet,” Lexa said and stopped back on her side of the rope. “Family brunch tomorrow? With the girls?”
Clarke nodded, picked up the duffel bag she had left at her feet and leaned to whisper next to Lexa’s ear, “I won’t be gentle next time.”
Lexa’s cheek warmed with a blush, because she knew exactly what those dark eyes were promising, and it had nothing to do with soccer. Lexa blinked as Clarke pecked her lips and walked back to the bus. It was driving off when she heard cleats behind her. She turned to find Anya cursing at seeing the bus drive away.
“Did you talk to her?”
“Yes,” Lexa answered her captain. “We’re good.”
“So get your head together. We have a title to win.”
“Aren’t you mad you missed Raven?”
Anya shook her head. “Not really. She sent me nudes after the game.”
Laxe chucked, walking back to their locker room. “I can’t believe you too.”
“I bet Griffin already made this whole thing sexual between you two.”
Lexa’s ear burned with heat.
“Called it!” Anya placed her arm around Lexa’s shoulder. “C’mon, Commander. After conquering the world, you can fuck your wife as much as you want.”
There was no ending to Lexa’s blazing cheeks.
“Oh.” Anya’s eyes sparkled with mirth. “I see. The fearless commander is secretly a bottom.”
“Oh, shut up.”
“Is that what she tells you?”
“Anya, I swear to god.”
“I promise not to tell your fans.”

Did any of your clexa's play a sport
Easy A Lexa ran track and played basketball, Romeo Lexa liked sword training and would do that somewhat competitively, MBFW Clarke played volleyball in high school but only really did pickup games of beach volleyball after that (a California girl through and through). Demon Clarke had once been on the tumbling team, but Abby yanked her off of that after everything, and CI Lexa played for her school's golf club (lesbian)(derogatory)
Other than that not really, it's mostly just exercise type stuff. Like Professor Lexa likes to swim and play tennis and a liiiittle golf when the other professors want to do something as a group. CoA Clarke was the girl to walk the mile in gym class and would argue that chess is a sport, so... that about sums her up. MBFW Lexa is into yoga and pilates but that's not a sport despite Clarke vehemently arguing that it certainly IS a spectator sport. CoA Lexa hates running but everything else she's good with, and demon Lexa would simply write in her own option that "fucking, vigorously" counts as cardio.
That's about it.

So, i made up my mind to share something new, it's not very halloweeny, but i wrote it from a prompt list a while ago and Tumblr deleted it 😫 (along my own millón reblogs😒) so I'll just fit it into "the other side theme" to try and get some interactions 😌
Let's take it as 'the other side of the doors/cameras' as in, how different life is for celebrities behind closed doors and right in front of cameras.
So, from A ship and a number
Some anon, said Clexa 13 ...discreetly
Here you go, clexa fam! 💖
Also, this is part of my famous AU universe
●●●
As per rutine for the past several month, the group of musicians signed with Arkadia Music's made their way into the hall of the hotel as they each finished their own interviews, every room on this floor was reserved for their pre-concert activities, and soon they would be leaving to the venue.
"That was fun" Octavia smirked as the got closer and in position for their team to lead them to the next room where they were holding a press conference.
"You didn't need to be that rude, y'know?" Her band mate said with a meaningless eye roll.
"Oh please, Clarke" Octavia groaned as she turned back to her best friend "he wasn't even a good guy, he wanted dirt yet was too stupid to find a way to create it, I did us both a favor"
"I wish you could've played rude in my interview" the green-eyed singer sighed from behind the duo as their team instructed them to start moving. Clarke turned to pout sympathicaly at her girlfriend, but resisted the urge to reach out to grab her hand, knowing there were people with cameras, looking for gossip behind every door.
"Ugh yeah, what's the point of doing this together if Woods and i have to do half of it alone" Murphy said walking beside Lexa "besides the interviewer was all flirt and no bussiness, i swear there was not a single question about music... no, yeah there was one "was Bruised Knee about sex?"" Murphy rolled his eyes.
"If you have to ask..." Octavia called immediately
"It's definitely not" the group responded in unison.
"If you haven't question it..."
"It probably is!" The chanted their little mantra with laugher as they stopped before a door.
"I mean, i don't see it so unfair, though... you chose a solo career" Octavia mentioned staring an argument with Murphy that had everybody joining in. Eventually, as their tour manager's assistant told them to go in, it was Murphy and Octavia bickering at each other while the group finished their talk over it.
Before the door started to open, while Monty was finishing a question for Clarke, Lexa spoke lowly "can i get a kiss?"
The door moved open and Clarke turned to pout at Lexa, after catching her question too late for been answering Monty's question "im sorry" she whispered as they all moved into the room.
"It's okay" Lexa mouthed once Clarke turned to look at her again, she only pouted harder before turning to face the press with a smile on her face.
They greet everyone as they all took their seats and the questions started. As the conference went on, the couple leaned to look at each other from across the table often, trying to make it as subtle as posible and most likely failing miserably. Clarke kept pouting and wishing she could've heard her girlfriend earlier and complaid in kind. After all, it wasn't all that often that the famous pop start, too damage from previous homofobic management, scared of the repercussions her previous contracts might still had over her public image, and straight to the public eye, asked, fearlessly and worryless, for any display of affection in public -or at work, for that matter-
Half through the conference, as Jasper was answering a question -or something completely off topic to the question asked at him- Clarke leaned her chin on her right hand, absently looking down at her wrist where four of her tattoos laid. Unwillingly to her, one of her eyebrows lifted slightly as she felt a light-bulb light-up over her head. She held a smirk as she turn slightly to look at Lexa, as expected, her girlfriend was already looking at her, so while maintaining eye contact, Clarke leaned down and softly kissed the head of her minimalist racoon tattoo that matched Lexa lion.
Lexa resists the need to roll her eyes and equally intense need to smile at her girlfriend, she licks her lips as she looks away and around the room, with a smirk of her own she looks down at her own wrist and up at Clarke, lifting her arm she scratches behind her ear before leaning on her hand with her elbow on the table, looking around one more time she leans to kiss the lion on her wrist while looking at Clarke. The couple smile at each other before looking away and inevitably staring to blush like teenagers. They both lower their hand and after a second of consideration, move them under the table as they lay back on their chairs. This very moment, would be considered by their fan as one of the biggest "mirroring" proofs of their time. -and they would be proud of it-
Couples mirroring, def: “To put it simply, mirroring is matching someone’s behavior, whether it’s their voice, their words, or their non-verbal cues (think gestures, movement, and body posture),”

so if there were gay writers doing it how would the scene play out differently? Like what makeitgay did or something else? I wanted a moment where they really talk and learn about one another and we never got that
It's not just whether the writing team has any representation, it's also time and what is prioritized for the story. "Clexa" was not a priority. Moving on from Clexa to get to the crappy AI story element was (and from there, we get JR building one of the most egregious cases of malicious queerbaiting ever, but I've done that to death, so to speak).
What else could they have done? So, if they weren't playing to cheap seats, being obnoxiously pandering to straight audiences, trying to make this relationship palatable (and "sexy" by "feminizing" her out of her Grounder persona), maybe it could have gone like this:
I would have had Clarke visiting Lexa after the fight, after people were done cleaning up and celebrating. Clarke (knocking, for once), showing up at Lexa's door to check on her, just to know she was ok and what would happen next. Lexa, tired, removing her armor, bruised, sore, not really interested in conversation at the moment, shy because it's Clarke and why would Clarke care, Clarke got her way, again, her people will be safe, as she promised, Lexa thinks that's all Clarke is there for, and repeats the promise--but that isn't what Clarke is there for.
She sees Lexa finch as she removes her gloves and the blood drying on her palm, maybe shoos away the handmaiden that brought in bandages and hot water, forces Lexa to sit while she tends to her, and asks her, casually, how is it she has black blood? And don't just say "the first Commander, blah blah blah, this is me and I will find out."
I mean, there's an elephant in the room and they never got to it.
What *is* Lexa?
As she's tended to, Lexa explains a little, hedges, then sees Clarke looking at her like, Bullshit, tell me, and she opens up: asks her if she knew of a 13th station. Had she ever heard the name Becca Franco? Quiet, Clarke nods. This is going somewhere. Lexa explains how she gave them black blood "for radiation, right?" But Clarke is a little wrong. She shows her the scar on the back of her neck. Maybe there's a little pulse of light under her skin.
Suddenly, the world gets a little bigger.
Because if Lexa is connected to what is, essentially, a database from Becca on down, she should know all that they knew. Making her "Commander" persona also a bit of an act. She's trying to re-civilize her world and is forced to do it uphill, in the rain, with no help.
And that's something Clarke might find WILD.
Clarke finishes quickly and makes to leave, she has to think, and Lexa, resigned that this is all there ever will be, that she will always give even though nothing is ever returned (maybe even wondering if Gustus was right and allying with the sky people will be the death of her), wishes her a weary goodnight without looking up and Clarke stops at the door, realizing, turns to see Lexa, head bowed, looking at her bandaged hand and she stops and walks back, touching Lexa's hair, making her look up and she says, sincerely, Thank you.
Maybe on her way back to her room, Clarke passes Aden and the other Nightbloods, looking relieved and anxious, wanting to see their Heda, and she tells them Lexa is tired and they should visit her tomorrow. The youngest looks at Clarke and asks her if she would stay with them then, maybe tell them a story, if Heda is too tired.
The world keeps getting bigger.
"What kind of stories does she tell you?"
They all smile.
"About you."
And the questions start. And Clarke can see, really see, they're a family.
"Did you really live in the sky?"
"Nobody can live in the sky, stupid."
"Birds do."
"They can fly. They live in nests. In trees."
"Did you live in a nest, Wanheda?"
"There's no trees in the sky."
"She's not a bird, stupid."
"Angels live in the sky."
"Angels live in heaven and they have wings. Do you see wings?"
"Maybe she lost them in the mountain. Did the mountain take your wings, Wanheda?"
And Clarke is overwhelmed because she did live in the sky, in a kind of nest, and while she never had wings, the mountain took something from her and she doesn't know how to get it back and she doesn't want the kids to see she's crying.
"I'm sure Heda will find you some. She knows everything."
Then another voice from behind.
"She's not that clever."
And they turn, and there's Lexa, in a dark coat, her braids out, looking like she's about to chastise them for bothering Clarke.
"Besides, if she had wings, she might fly home."
The youngest tugs on Lexa's coat and she is picked up.
"Maybe she could take us there."
"Is it so terrible here?"
Clarke wipes at her tears and smiles.
"I think I'd rather stay, if that's okay with you."
The children cheer and gather around the two women, who can't stop looking at one another, with a halo of smiles.
Anyway. That's my two cents.
