I was looking through some references the other day and stumbled upon the art of Qinni... I remember loving to browse their gallery, and showing the tutorials to people during class; they were always kind to share knowledge, and their art is still just as stunning as it was back then, a decade ago.

It made me think that I still have so much to learn from them, and that puts a smile on my face. At least for me, they've left so many treasures I have yet to discover.

I've always loved the fairytale-like stars and galaxies in their art, so I drew something that popped in my head.

Hi, I'm having some troubles with Theme 03: Qinni Han. When I use the theme, it's too zoomed in on my blog page, causing aspects of it to overlap. Is this something that can be fixed?

Hi! Thank you for contacting me. I went to your blog and so that I can see what it seems to be the problem. However, it looks alright from my end as what you can see from the screenshot below:

Be that as it may, I think I may know the issue. Just to double confirm, from your chrome Settings - Appearance, have change the font size/page zoom to anything other than the default option? I ask this because the unit that I used for coding is actually a relative unit. Meaning to say that the size of the elements may increase/decrease depending on the said option (the font size/page zoom from the chrome settings).

For example, if I change the font size to large like what you've seen from this screenshot,

Does the screenshot above looks the same as the one you are facing? If yes, then the chrome setting might be the issue.

Since this is actually one of the earliest themes that I created, I didn't take note of the possibility of other people changing the font size through chrome settings. Hence, that's why it may look wonky.

Other than that, then I'm not too sure what it seems to be the problem because as I mentioned earlier, it works fine from my end. I hope this clarifies!

hi I’ve been coping. I know I’m super fucking late to the this but I found out Qinni passed away and it’s so crazy to some people to be upset over someone you’ve never met. But when I first saw the painting she did of the girl with the galaxy freckles, my world was turned upside down in the best way possible. I was a preteen in middle school, dealing with depression, puberty, bullying and stress. Seeing Qinni’s paintings inspired me, although I hardly draw myself. I had never seen something so beautiful, and her artwork showed me that there really is beauty in this world. Her artwork showed me that the human mind is incredible bc believe me, I would never be as creative as she was. Her galaxies lit a fire in me and I started to try again. I started to try for life and to love stuff around me, no matter how sad I got. It’s such a shame that I only found the name of someone who truly changed my life just yesterday. Qinni’s legacy is so beautiful and I hope she is painting all the galaxies where she is 💙 Thank you for changing me Qinni, and although I am so late saying this, I do miss you. You made this world better

Incredibly saddened by the passing of @qinni  I still remember being in complete awe of her fish light animation back in my early dA days, and she was one of the reasons I started posting art online in the first place. May she rest in peace

The moment I heard she had passed, I immediately wanted to draw something for her, and this was what immediately popped in my head. 2022: Another Year, Another Reflection

Last year, I mentioned that I had no idea what 2022 had in store for me. I went for a WILD ride - as I wrote this, I recalled a lot of friendship drama, moving on from your crush, finishing law school, graduating and convocation, searching for jobs and finally working as a pupil in chambers in a medium-sized law firm. Amidst all of these arcs of life, I managed to create 5 themes and 3 pages, lesser than last year which was 6 themes and 5 pages but then again, it's the quality that counts, right?

When it comes to theme making, this year is different than last year - For themes, I've coded 5 themes this year but 4 out of 5 themes were themes requested by my followers. It's a different kind of experience - you faced different type of people when working on the projects but at the end of the spectrum - all of these people are very supportive and I am eternally grateful for working with them. Without them, the creations of Shun Kaido, Ward Legacy, Yoimiya and even Circus Unicorn might not be the same as it is.

Also, when I looked back at my projects masterlist, I was astonished at myself for I've completed 25 projects this year alone. I'm proud of myself because even during the transition from a student to a working adult, life did not stop me from continuing with my passion. I know that I will continue to code in 2023 regardless how busy my life would be (though the number of projects that I will be releasing may be far lesser than the previous years).

Anyhow, thank you for all the supports that you've given to me. Those who constantly liking and reblogging my posts, particularly my followers, thank you so much.

A special thanks also to all of the 49 new respondents who have responded to my Theme Selections Survey. Because of you, that two particular users who preferred a multi-column theme, I've braved myself in creating Theme 12: Sugarcoated. The creations of Page 9: Raeliana and Page 11:Mizuno were actually based from the respondents' suggestions. So if you think I don't listen to the respondents' suggestions, think again. I always listen to your suggestions and if the time is right, I will definitely implement your ideas to fruition.

So what's next?

I have a couple of projects in mind that I would like to work on. However, of course this is subject to my own free time. For now here are several things that I would like to share:

For themes, I have one theme to release tomorrow (01.01.2023). Other than that, I plan on making two more themes - one theme is another all-in-one theme but will be more on rp-oriented. Another one will be a new base code that will focus more on NPF and other Theme Options.

For revamp, I'm expecting to revamp on my popular themes, Theme 03: Qinni Han.

For tutorials - I have two tutorials in mind - one is about searchbar and another one would be in relation to links.

For theme updates, I'm thinking of updating all of the themes (except for the retired themes) to be more NPF friendly. This is not a priority for me since more often than not, I no longer understand the codes even with the help of the comments :')

For resources masterlist, I will be updating it at least once within 2023 so please fon't hesitate to suggest me any websites/tools that you found beneficial when it comes to coding.

See You Next Year...?

Like last year, I'm still uncertain with how 2023 plans for me. I plan on taking a break after chambering but life sometimes don't really follow your plan. So we'll see haha. Hope I'll accomplish all the five matters above. Even if I couldn't accomplish all of them, I just want to say to the future me who will be reading this post to know that it's perfectly alright! Take all the time needed to accomplish it.

Hello Fox !!

I saw your T update post and wanted to come by and tell you some things that I had been meaning to for YEARS — ( I think I first saw you here, or maybe Instagram .. ), but I’m Daniel and when I first saw you I had no idea what transgender meant or that certain things could be possible. Like— there were some days when I was younger ( I’m 27 now ), where I thought, oh, it would be interesting to be a boy but if I was a boy, no one would take my desire seriously because that means I’d be gay. And my mind was stuck in such a weird .. conservative mindset, that if I transitioned, I had to be straight. Because “boys like girls and girls like boys”, so if I like boys, I should stay a girl. Weird, I know! And your photos and transition really .. opened my eyes years and years ago, and here I am, 7 months on T. You were the first person on the internet and irl that I ever came across that was transgender ( that I knew about ), and you’re a major stepping stone in my journey without ever speaking to you. I knew I was a boy when I was about 3/4 years old, but never knew it was a “thing” until around my early 20s when I thought, well, wait .. maybe it’s not just all in my head? Maybe I can do this and still like boys and people will still like me. And they do! And .. I don’t know .. I saw you were active again and really wanted to take the time to tell you all this. How you’re a big inspiration to me since years and I’m happy to see you to continue to grow and be yourself— as it gives me confidence to do the same. ❤️ Thank you for all of this, even if you didn’t realize.
