All right. I know the poll isn't over yet, but I got excited and ahead of myself and jotted down the summary for the story-

"The brown-eyed apothecary awoke with a start. She instinctively reached for the halberd she had stashed beneath her bed before pausing.

She wasn't surprised that the moon was still so high and bright against the star-speckled sky; waking up like this was a common occurrence for her.

The Cursed Caldera cut an imposing silhouette through the window of her bedroom, though that wasn't what caused the nightmares this time.

A little over a year ago, she had fled her home, hoping that in doing so, she would escape her fear as well, but it clung to her like a blood-soaked cloak.

Every so often, as she lay in bed trying to sleep after a long day, she would start to feel the heat of the Breach and hear her friend shouting her name as the lavafalls overtook her.

She’d survived, of course, but had no intention to go back home.

First her father, and then her mother.

She’d lost so many people; she hated to leave her brothers and stepfather, too, but she didn’t have a choice.

Not as long as he was still around.

Her mother had never trusted him, and neither had she. As much as the apothecary loved her stepfather, she couldn’t help but think he was a bit blind when it came to his advisor: the High Mage Viren.

Princess Aveline couldn’t stand him."

//So, now that I've binged season four, I'm planning to post a fic based on/following Netflix's "The Dragon Prince". It'll involve an OC, who I've drawn a couple of times (you can see both over here, but be warned: the first one has some major spoilers for her character, implications of her background, and implications of conflict between herself and another character, though they aren't mentioned by name or shown in the drawing.)

//I've been bouncing the fic around in my head since I watched the first season back in 2018, so you know it's got a lot to it /pos; I'll post a link to it here when it goes up, hopefully sometime in the next couple of weeks, and it'll be updated as the series progresses.
