I think one of the most interesting thing about the use of “Ruthlessness” in The Underworld Saga is that in that song Poseidon is …. wrong. the line “you totally could’ve avoided all this if you’d just kill my son” is technically correct, but wasn’t Odysseus’ only option.

What actually lead to his death was his hubris - Gods in Greek Mythology aren’t omnipotent, so if Odysseus didn’t give him name, address and credit card info to the cyclops, then Poseidon wouldnt have been able to track him down and the rest wouldn’t have happened.

idk i think his character is so interesting and i think the musical does such a good just capturing it in the lyricism because like ,,,,, yeah idk this musical has been rotting my brain

Putting my Favorite Characters in Hades Part 2: Hunter from The Owl House

Power description, Chthonic Companion, and a Better Look below:

okay this guys a lil different bc i see him like a mini boss that would show up at the fountain in Elysium starting after you beat Hades the “final” time. Sorta like how Hunter reacted to Luz saying the emperor was a lil bitch, he “wouldn’t believe” Zag actually beat Hades.

His powers would be similar to that shade in Tartarus that can teleport. However, after some dialogue Zag and him would build a relationship and you’d no longer have to fight him. Does that make any sense? Just making Elysium even worse than it is 🫡

Anyways, Hunter would stop fighting you and instead tell you fun facts about wolves and give you his homemade Chthonic Companion: Flapjack! I think it would be a timed session of like 5-10 seconds that how much damage you cause is proportional to how much health you get back.

Anyways, here’s a better look at Hunter! I gave him the cast crystal as part of the staff and covered him in that symbol to really show his dedication to the cause 🫡🫡

Putting My Favorite Characters in Hades Part 1: Danny Phantom

Okay I REALLY like this style and so i’m excited to do a lot more characters but here’s what I’m thinking:

The upgrade Danny would give Zag would be sorta a mix between Zeus’ and Dionysus - like a fire charge that would hurt the monsters for a bit after the initial strike. Think the magma damage, but green.

ALSO CUJO AS A CHTHONIC COMPANION !!! He would do similar damage as Megara, but it would be a Ghostly Wail that damages all foes in a cone shape.

also also better look at King Danny :D

This was a huge pain in the butt to get done, that background fought me. I’m pleased with what I’ve done though. I’m wondering if star magic and dark magic are somewhat connected in some way and the path Callum seems to be taking (more forced to take given what happened in S5) gave me the idea to draw him falling from primal sky magic, the one thing he wanted to do because it felt right, into a mix of dark (and star magic if they are indeed connected), something he doesn’t want to do but ultimately has to to save the people he cares about.

Then Snake Boi Callum Week 2.0 (the hiss strikes back) is the fandom event for you!

Last autumn the fandom had an event to celebrate and explore some of Callum's most interesting traits — his obsession with magic, his deep love and protectiveness over Ezran and Rayla, his sometimes icy and explosive temper, his fear of Aaravos controlling his destiny, and just about anything else that makes Callum, well, Callum.

As such and by popular demand, we're having another one. Just like last time, all forms of creation are welcome including works that explore darker or more intense material, provided they're rated and tagged accordingly.

Just like last time the usual components of Snake Boi Callum (i.e. Ezran and Rayla alone being his inner circle) are just suggestions (you want to add Soren or Sarai, or anyone else? Go for it!) as are the prompts for the week. Like before, they take inspiration from concepts / quotes from the show itself, common turns of phrase, and quotes from the novelizations.
