Liquid cores do some interesting stuff when you add oil, water, AND mica powder. The mica mixes with both the oil and the water so it doesn't have that distinct oil-water split as much.

Petri dice make me feel like Goldilocks. Sometimes the dice end up with too much ink. Sometimes they end up with too little! And sometimes, only sometimes, the amount of ink is just right. :)
