Hear me out. What if hypothetically the parallel with the shiny armour is finishing what Fives started and what if hypothetically Echo *doesn't* die

I think the fact he was the first of the batch to infiltrate Tantiss is so important because of how personal it is for him, not just for what he represents but who he is as such an inherently good person and he's finally getting to fight back for those who can't (I have far too many thoughts about this)
Echo has never once given up on rescuing the other clones and I have never been more proud of him

I'm so glad it showed he kept the scomp arm because he chose to. After not having any choice in what happened to him before I think it’s so important he got to choose, decided he could work with it and kept it and I really like that. I must admit I was so surprised when he just ripped the hand off the droid though 😂
“EcHo fInAlLy hAs a ReAl HaNd!”
Listen punk, all this episode proves is he could have had a “real hand” this whole time and chose not to.

Also I've probably been posting far too much today (I have far too many thoughts) but this honestly feels like the reaction I was ready for Echo to have at the start of the season. They kind of skipped over his thoughts around Tantiss (other than him making sure Omega knew she did the right thing by getting out of there) which took some getting used to because I was expecting him to be a lot more affected by it initially, but finally having him get to process it all and confront what that means to him is everything, I'm so glad it got to happen.

I just realized how triggering Tantiss must be for both Crosshair and Echo. The fact Crosshair withheld information until he needed to, the effect it had on his hand, and the way he didn't even try to hide the impact it had on him.
And for Echo knowing the very concept of a place like that existing to then being there right in the middle of it bringing up all those bad memories.
When they all get out of there (and I say when because I choose to remain delusional everybody is getting out of this alive) they should talk. Just about everything, and be honest about it. Point made.

"You're a clone. How can you be part of this?"
Tumblr media
The utter disappointment and disgust in Echo's voice when he said that to Emerie was enough to shame anyone into doing the right thing.
I'm not even there and I'm feeling ashamed.

You know you live in a dysfunctional family when the two most mature people are the ex-pow with massive amounts of PTSD who keeps running off to do dangerous stuff with his army buddy and a twelve year old girl.

I think Emerie’s been slowly coming round to what she needs to do for a while. Just the fact she's doing the right thing now even though she's visibly scared speaks volumes and I really like that. On top of that there's the fact she refers to the children in the vault as the children or by their names instead of just “the specimens” and how she uses Echo's name as well because she sees them as people and not just part of her work (which isn't a lot) but Omega proved kindness goes a long way in a place like Tantiss.

I just think it's funny that both Omega and Echo are on Tantiss putting together escape plans while the rest of the batch are just stuck down in the jungle beating up Rampart at every given opportunity
Reminds me of a post I saw once that I forgot to reblog that went along the lines of "You know it's a dysfunctional family when the two most competent people are a war veteran with PTSD and a 12 year old girl"
(If anyone can find it tag me I lost it)

Just having thoughts about Echo seeing all his brother's faces on that computer terminal knowing what's being done to them resonating with the way Rex and Tech found him I can't do this rn

Just thinking about how Omega told Emerie all about her brothers (Including Echo, especially considering she didn't mention him when she talked with Crosshair about Hunter and Wrecker) but she never gave up hope they'd find a way to find her and she shared that hope with the people around her (Emerie and Crosshair and now the kids in the vault) I love her
