Now imagine these high rank, well resected leaders, just bickering constantly, because they divorced and clearly were immature about it seeing the estranged relationship their kids have with eachother.

All the knights and affiliated expedition crew just not knowing how to react because damn these really capable and responsible people are acting real childish right now.

Varka being like "you argue like a married couple" just to piss them off more because he thinks it's funny.

I think it'd be nice if in Genshin they added the main characters into the playable world- eg. seeing Amber at the Good Hunter, or finding Zhongli at the storyteller's place and being able to interact with them. Kinda hangout style except it's not a quest or anything major. Just a fun little interaction!

I think this would make for a more interactive and realistic experience. As you know, the players love their favourite character's greatly, and often complain about not having enough interactions with them, so I believe that making them occasionally appear outside of quests would be a great solution to that.

Here are some examples I've come up with:

- Diluc can be found on Mondstadt's city wall at night, and when you try to interact with him, he is very awkwardly trying to hide his Darknight Hero identity

- Lisa can be found in the KoF library sometimes, sipping tea and reading a romance novel, and when you interact with her, she invites you to read together

- Noelle can be found around the Favonius Headquarters performing her maidly duties, and when interacted with, she says she's quite busy but will try her best to aid you in any way she can

- Jean can be found in her office late at night, and when interacted with, you can try to coerce her into resting by doing some of her work for her

- Kaeya can be found walking around the streets of Mond at any time of the day, and when interacted with, he invites you for a walk together while gaining intel from the other residents

- Beidou can be found on the Alcor, and when interacted with, she sings sea shanties or offers to tell you of her adventures out at sea

- Ningguang can be found in the Jade Chamber in the early mornings, and when interacted with, she entertains you with a philosophical discussion and is amused by your responses

- Childe can be found around and about Liyue Harbor, and when interacted with, he ends up giving you mora to "buy yourself something nice"

- Thoma can be found at Komore Teahouse in the afternoons, and when interacted with, you receive consumable food thanks to his caring nature

- Sayu can sometimes be spotted in her barrel camouflage, and when you try to interact with her, she says bad inconspicuous things such as "I am just a normal barrel, no need to concern yourself with me"

- Yoimiya can be encountered when interacting with her father at Naganohara Fireworks, and when interacted with, she gives you fireworks and you set

uhm.. tw: Kaeyas spiraling thoughts …???

Ceiling. the same ceiling that taunts him.. one that he’s looked at every morning since the fight with his brother. a ceiling that reminds him that he’ll never be a good person; a vision that reminds him that he’s forever going to carry the burden of his country dying.. and him being one of the few survivors left from it.

 His hands come into view, hands that have very light scars from the countless wounds that have landed on them since the fall of his country. scars that were caused by his brother... the brother that he isn’t sure if he still blames himself for the passing of their father.

Hands that are somehow soft and rough at the same time. hands that have been covered in not only his blood… but also that of his family, his friends, his pets, and everyone he’s ever loved and cared for. Including Dilucs.

He forced himself to roll over, ignoring the ceiling, which was tainted with the memories and daydreams he'd had from staring at it.

The window that he looked out of every morning, the window that he sought comfort in because he knew deep down there was no one left for him. He couldn’t understand how he kept pushing, wanting to live as if he didn’t so desperately want to die.

A life that should have been lost but was saved. to do what? suffer? What was the real reason that Kaeya Alberich was still alive? He asked himself every day, What was the reason to keep going? Every morning he prays the sun won’t come out.. but unfortunately, just like yesterday, it does.

He lets out a quiet sigh before pushing himself up and throwing his legs over the bed. the scars on his body that he looks at every day—the physical and emotional ones that he’ll never be able to get rid of.

He pushes off the bed. His messy blue hair, which is seemingly perfect, has knots.. knots that no one knows he has to comb out every morning. knots that will forever haunt him. knots that will forever follow him wherever he walks. knots that will leave and come back when they please.

He doesn’t dare look at himself in the mirror.. Well, what’s left of it. They say breaking a mirror will give you seven years of bad luck but for him? He IS bad luck. He seemed to have been at the center of every horrible occurrence.

He couldn’t even cry.. the one thing he did every night after his country fell. not even when he was forbidden from saying goodbye to the man who had taken him in and given him a home. fed him, loved him, and allowed him to have a sliver of hope. He couldn’t sob for the man who saved him.

Truly, the last time Kaeya cried.. was when he received his vision.

He barely remembers any of it, but he does remember the sight of fire being sent straight to his face, and just like that, it’s gone. The feeling of the cold and the tears in his eyes seemed to freeze. Diluc's shocked yet angered expression confirms that it didn’t go the way he had intended…

And that scared Kaeya.

For the first time, he was scared of his brother.

Could he even call him that? He was disowned after being the reason Crepus Ragnvindr had passed away.. He flinched as the pain in his eye seemed to come back.. He always struggled with it. but now it was even worse than before. causing him to drop his sword and clutched his face, stumbling back as his tears seemed to come back.

And just like that, he pulls his hand away from his eye, still refusing to look into the mirror. trying not to be reminded of his existence as he tries to ignore the memory that has just occurred moments ago.

Promptly leaving his bathroom before walking back into his room. reluctantly putting his clothes on.. He hated his morning routine. It always consisted of being reminded of one or another memory that he tried to bury.

He took a few breaths before stepping out.. realizing today would be the same as yesterday.. tomorrow, and the day after that. knowing that he can’t break the cycle of his day-to-day life. a life he still wishes could have perished with the rest of them in Khaenri'ah..

The dirty looks everyone is giving eachother, the sarcasm, the inside jokes between characters that others don't understand! Oh it's prefect!

Mfing Ferdinand and Jaroney got told! First by a whole ass captain (probably threatened) and then by like a 7 year old!

And Kaeya's line about Klee in that part- "Klee's childlike innocence is so powerful it can even heal" !!! You cannot tell me that those two don't need eachother

The only real answer to who deserves most blame is both. Both is good.

Diluc is in the wrong for raising his weapon against his brother with whole ass murderous intent.

Kaeya is in the wrong for picking the worst goddamn time (and I bet wording too) to reveal his lifelong secret.

On the flip side, though, both are somewhat justified in their actions at the same time.

Diluc just directly ended his dying father's life, found out the organisation he put all his faith and trust into isn't as just as he believed it to be, and on top of all that his brother just hold him he's been lying about his identity his whole life. My boys whole sense of justice and morality has been turned upside down in the span of not even 24 hours! The human psyche can only handle so much at one time.

And Kaeya's world was also thrown into a spiral that day. We have much less obvious insight into his thought tendencies and moral stances, which means there's many more possibilities for what could've been his last straw, whether it was his adoptive father's death making him fall into a storm of guilt and self hatred, or the sudden realisation that nothing is permanent except for his complex fated future. One thing is certain though, he was also not in the right mental state for making good and reasonable decisions.

They both made mistakes. And yes, they were mistakes that have somewhat justifiable causes, but they nonetheless were mistakes with severe consequences. Both of them should be held equally responsible for their actions, no greater or lesser fault, no better or worse justification.

Problem with writing Al Haitham: There are only so many times one can write someone scoffing or rolling his eyes before it gets repetitive...

#see #this is why you write from Al Haitham's pov #because you then get to write all the thoughts and conversations he's having in his head #(because I guarantee you that little shit has full out conversations with the voices in his head) #alternatively #quite literally just write him as a single line of speech #have your whole long paragraph of Kaveh or someone pacing and talking and moving their hands and being a fkn actual living person #and then new speaker new line and just #“Mhm.” #Until you get annoyed at Al Haitham's lack of response so you make the other character annoyed too which FORCES Haitham to have a response #then you can go in a few different directions from there #you can further piss off the character by making Al Haitham simply look at them #(my guy def does the eye talk thing where he thinks hes very clearly expressing smthing with the look hes giving but its just a blank stare #you can make Al Haitham get absolutely pissed (mildly annoyed) so he simply gets up and walks away or starts reading or something like that #or you can use it as the perfect opportunity to bring out the inner genius akademiya scholar and #make the boy spit the most long winded explanatory paragraph where he essentially vocalises the voices from inside his head #as a general rule though #I'd say Al Haitham just speaks in a very concise way #he doesn't say any more than strictly necessary #which does not mean he doesn't think more than necessary #you could write a very subtle crease of his brows or a focused look into space as the gears (voices) start turning (discussing) in his head #in lieu of a “mhm.”
