2021 just flew by! Did it feel that way to anyone else? I am starting 2022 with some changes, new goals, and excitement for the future. I'm sure it's no secret, I've been away from Social Media for a little bit. Several factors went behind this. Last year, I started a new job. It's been a wonderful change. I love being back in the Wine Industry again. I work in such an amazing place. I have new amazing Co-Workers and made new friends. It was important, but I also struggle to fit in time for writing. I made the choice last year to set aside my social marketing endeavors and focus on editing my book. Some days, that hurdle was easier than others. I definitely stretched myself thin trying to do too much. Ultimately, my creativity suffered from that. #authorlife My Creativity in the pit, I focused on my social life. Hanging with Friends and family. This was a cherished time, and it would be foolish to regret that time. I took some time off to spend with family for the Holidays, and...got Covid. That put me in bed for the first several weeks of January. The best-laid plans don't always work out I guess. How did you guys start out 2022? Hopefully a little better than I did. Now that I am better, I am returning my focus to organizing, and getting back into gear. I spent some time revamping my office desk. Purging clutter and extra things can create distractions. I also worked to set up my planner for the year. This involved creating a vision board, and mind map for my goal. I've also set some deadlines for myself, and am making some changes overall. The biggest goal, finish editing. Seriously finish. I plan to finally get started on the process of adding in Beta Reader for edit and hope to do a mocked cover. Writing a book, is a lot of work. I'm excited about this year's accomplishments. I have such a wonderful support system and am really looking forward to sharing this journey with you wonderful followers this year. Hello Friends, How do you find inspiration for your writing?? If you saw my last post, I've started a new job. While it feels wonderful to be in a company that has a wonderful team. That is supportive of me and my future with them. Balancing work with writing has been an adjustment. As writers keeping inspiration and creativity is so important. Inspiration is not something that comes to you, you must go find it. Seek inspiration in all you do and everywhere you go. As writers, we must find a balance in life to keep our inspiration alive. Happy #humpday friends I am back from my social media hiatus. At the end of June, I took a break from my media connections. I had taken a year break from my career in order to focus on my writing. While that was a massively productive time, it could not last forever. I returned to my career in the Wine Industry. It's been a true blessing coming back to the industry with a warm welcoming team. Now that I've settled into my new career. It's time to turn back to finishing my edits on my debut novel "The Mother's Creation" For now, I will be focusing on edits, and connecting with you all on Instagram.
