A Rare pro Jedi article! Woohoo

We all stan Luke and Leia, but many of the Skywalkers caused great pain for the galaxy. Two in both Canon and legends fell to the dark side and slaughtered hundreds. Both Luke and Rey were forced to clean up the messes that two Skywalkers caused (three if you count Padme). One bloodline having a monopoly on the force and their decisions determining the fate of the galaxy shouldn’t be a good thing. It dunks a tiny bit on the Jedi at the end, but is mostly positive.

Really wish they’d own up to their lies. They’ve been known to defend Zionism and Zionists while claiming that they sympathize with Palestinians. They’re constantly reblogging from known Zionists like Spacelazarwolf and tributary as well.

Looking at their blog, they’re one of those queer ex Christian types that converts to Judaism, viewing it as the progressive religion and thinks Zionism is “leftist”. So many people here convert to Judaism to allow themselves to take part in a legacy of oppression they weren’t part of. I'm in awe of how we ran historical revisionism on the civil rights movement so bad that people truly believe it was quiet self-sacrifcial non-disruptive christ-like activism that forced progress and not — like — the incredible economic pressure of boycotts and outbreaks of illegal civil disobedience

Please stop saying “Every country ever has persecuted Jews and kicked them out.” It is so ahistorical. Jewish people have had different statuses in different societies throughout different parts of history. These different statuses were made possible through certain conditions. Also, by saying this you’re concluding that antisemitism is inevitable instead of a phenomenon brought on by specific conditions that can be fought against and destroyed.

the reason i shared my great-grandmother's story on here a few months ago is not for sympathy or anything, its to illustrate to you just how deeply, deeply anti-Palestinian the idea of zionism is.

i remember my grandmother, the one who watched her mother die in her home, she called us with a plain tone of voice, and she said "she asked to be buried in [her village] but of course the the zionists wouldn't let that happen." the thing that will not leave my head was the way my grandmother said it, the way it just seemed so natural and so obvious to her. my grandmother is *not* a quiet woman, she yells everything she ever says, whether happy or sad but this she said softly. like she was resigned to this, she expected this.

this woman was exiled once from her village, then again from Palestine, then again and again and again and eventually forced to live in poverty in a refugee camp, she knows the 'israeli' state more intimately than anyone i know, she knows what it will and won't allow in its genocidal apparatus and to her it was obvious that they would not respect her mother's body or last wishes. she knew that.

and i always go back to it when i see discussions on here or on twitter or in academia, like you guys (the moderates, the apologists) have never ever spoken to a nakba survivor or a naksa survivor. you don't know just how deeply its affected our families.

so when we ask you to completely reject zionism, when we demand it from allies, we aren't saying this to be stubborn or nonsensical, we're saying it because we know where zionism will lead us. we've been through the "we just want peace" and the "we need to just talk it out" phases already, how can you not think we've been through those phases after 75 years. we've had our meet and greets and our appeals and now we're at literally the worst stage of genocide against our people and you're still insisting on "talking it out" or some variation of it.

the truth of the matter is that we don't have patience for zionism anymore because look where it got us. look where we're at. even soft zionists, you need to stamp those people out from pretending they've got good points, or that you need to build community with them or whatever. we are literally at the worst part of Palestinian history ever, we need to stop pretending there are grey zones to this. Zionist apologists and the like are creating ambiguity that literally gets our families killed under the guise of "complication". I'm sick and tired of watching these same discussions over and over again about how "Israel is a result of antisemitism" when it very much is not. I'm sick of seeing people who know NOTHING about colonization push their own agendas and provide cover for zionists to do whatever they want. Just stop talking about things you don't understand because I promise you, you're directly contributing to the violence you claim to abhor.

I think people forget one difference between canon and legends. The Galactic Civil War in legends didn’t end till 15 years after ROTJ. Luke needed to recruit students, quickly, so he could keep helping the new republic. Plus, he was rebuilding the order from an outsider’s perspective and needed all the help he could get from any survivors, even if they were married with children. In canon, the war ended just one year after ROTJ and relative peace lasted until the First Order rose and Kylo fell to the dark side, giving Luke more time to build a Jedi order more like the old one, hence why we see him taking in young children, including his nephew, as students. Since we see him consulting Ahsoka, he’s likely still open to welcoming survivors like Cal, Reva or Ezra as teachers, but with peace established, he has an easier time to study the old order and find Younglings.

You know what really grinds me gears? This preconceived notion from the Star Wars fandom, specifically the EU/Legends fans, who claim, “The old Jedi Order were flawed, dogmatic and hypocritical and they deserved what they got” as well as “Luke Skywalker’s New Jedi Order is so much better because they allow attachments and marriages”. Even as an EU fan, I know this is total BS.

I mean, Luke's Jedi Order allowed marriages in the EU because it existed before the Prequel Trilogy made it clear that the Jedi don't get married and that's... really it. It wasn't a statement on how Luke's Jedi were better or an intentional choice to have Luke be different than other Jedi at the time, those writers just had no idea that Lucas's concept of the Jedi didn't include marriage.

And the lack of recognition about WHY Luke's Jedi Order included marriage in the EU is what grinds MY gears.

A lot of EU fans just seem overly attached to that version of the Jedi, that version of the Star Wars world, and can't really let go of it very well even years after the Prequels have come out and changed what was canon about the Jedi. So they just came up with an interpretation of the source material that bashes the Prequels Jedi and lifts up the EU Jedi.

The irony of this post when OP has been caught using and sympathizing with Zionist rhetoric.

This is a trend I’ve noticed on this hellsite. People really need to check the blogs of the accounts before reblogging as that’s how trad conservatives like Greater-than-the-sword and Prolifeproliberty get thousands of reblogs/likes.

Op being a Zionist sympathizer changes the context of this post as it’s encouraging people to ignore how insidious Zionist rhetoric in leftist communities is.
