It’s all about balance right? There’s good things about social media, but at the other end of the scale, we have created a culture of ‘look at me’, while continually offering reasons to ‘look at me’.

Sadly, the extension of this is that we place more focus upon being ‘seen to be’ something instead of ‘being’ something. It now longer seems important to strive for something or to improve something so long as we can create the impression in peoples minds. 

Take a break from social media sometime...It’s refreshing to not rely upon creating an image, but just BEING.

If you aren’t following US politics I don’t blame you. I myself have paid more attention to it now than I ever have, because I feel that we are in a time that will go down in history as one of the most significant times in world history.

The value of Truth itself has been eroded. Truth means very little right now. I feel that the way forward to towards healing in the future, towards recovery from this dark time in history, will be for Truth to shine through. 

It’s vitally important in my view, for the people of the world at this time, to witness the victory of truth. I am confident that they will see that soon. 

We have lot’s of new stuff at the moment, on the way to our website. We are surprised at how fast some of this stuff goes, with a few regulars that keep grabbing new things before they make it online!

Because we have so much crystal stock, the things that we buy now tend to be quite special pieces, and our regular store visitors know what they are looking at, so just these past few days things tend to disappear before they are even photographed.

These two stunning new Fluorite Wands are still here at the time of typing this but I don’t think they will last long in the cabinet.

There is a phenomena called ‘The Overview Effect’ reported by many people who have travelled into space. It is a kind of a spiritual experience, regardless of the persons religious or politic views. A life changing effect brought about by seeing our planet from space.

It highlights the difference that perspective makes. Just as the Buddhist might say, that a sunrise is beautiful, but the Sun is not actually rising, or they might ask, ‘what does a full moon really have to do with the moon?’

It highlights something of the illusion around us. That we may think and feel a certain way standing on the ground, but take us up 100km and we may think completely differently. This is because our perspective is different, and boundaries completely fade away. 

The ‘overview effect’ cannot be captured by a photo, there is something about actually experiencing this that would transcend looking at the same scene in a photo.

Even those of us who will never make it into orbit, there is a valuable insight to be gained from pondering this phenomena.

This happened today, with a new shipment yesterday of excellent Madagascan Crystals. I made a phone call or two to alert some customers and over half of the new items were sold just today.

This included some rare Enhydro Quartz, Natural Citrine Generators, Smokey Quartz, Amethyst and Clear Quartz pieces in stunning quality.

If you would like to be advised about the arrival of certain items we are happy to give you the heads up about this kind of thing but they do move very fast around here.

We are busy these days reading Tarot by appointment 6 days a week. You can book in with myself or Leasa. We have an excellent reputation as professional Tarot Card readers and teachers, which is very likely due to our no nonsense approach to the craft. We don’t make fanciful claims to magically know your future, or to speak with your past loved ones, as many are in the habit of doing.

We simply interpret your Tarot Cards and apply them to any questions or guidance you may seek. We would actually rather talk you out of a reading if your expectation is unrealistic. We often do that too, and guide people away from those that might make silly claims.

Likewise we teach Tarot, one on one, and our many students have found this an excellent way to learn Tarot.

The spiritual path must include a healthy balance of science. 

Religion and superstition have a long history of stifling human knowledge. The fact that it is still happening in 2018, comes down to not what we think but how we think.

We don’t have to ignore our spiritual side, to study and learn about science. But most importantly, we certainly do not need to ignore science, to walk the spiritual path. If we don’t understand about something, it doesn’t mean that other people also don’t, so it serves us well to be humble with our approach to those things that we don’t understand.

To be willing to learn, and to keep learning with a sense of awe and wonder, is the best approach we can take to just about every area of life, including spirituality. Yes indeed you can use rationale on the spiritual path. 

We have both a right AND a left brain, that work best in balance.

Thanks to those who noticed there was no newsletter last month! It made me feel like people are reading :) I wasn’t well, and quite busy, at the start of March. Likewise yesterday after the Easter break here as we processed something like 100 online orders. All posted the same day!

We often get asked for Toe rings, and were out of stock for a while, but with the last shipment, we have quite a selection back in stock.

We also ordered a few different Sterling Silver jewellery ideas as well as a general re-stock.

Ammolite is the name given to Opalised (fossilised) Ammonite shell from Canada. Not cheap but absolutely stunning.

Charoite Ring. A beautiful Russian stone.

No, not Rose Quartz, but a selection of higher quality Morganite (Pink Beryl) jewellery.

Blue Kyanite makes for some very dazzling faceted stones.

And this stunning Citrine pendant.

As well as offering Tarot Readings 6 days per week, we teach Tarot these days on a one-on-one basis. Our current students have tended to space these lessons out over a period of time, giving themselves time to study and practice in between. It’s the most effective way that we have found to teach Tarot to people, and to work at the pace of the student.

I was asked the other day by a young person to tell them something about spirituality. Quite a loaded question, but every now and then in our shop, we do get asked something deep, and it is often by someone in their teens.

The most important piece of advice that I could give this young person was that he needs to discover answers for himself and not listen to too many people’s opinions. If he was to ask the same questions of 10 people, he would get 10 completely different answers. His own personal journey has already started, because he is curious enough at a young age to ask big questions.

Secondly I explained that things change, and evolve. So should our mind. Talking to me, he would have received a different set of ideas if he had have spoken to me in my 20′s, vs speaking to me now. 

If we remain open to change, not locked in our beliefs we continually learn about the things that interest us, and our thoughts can go in many different directions in the search for truth.

They say that happiness is a state of mind, and a decision. That we choose to be happy, or not happy. Little children seem to know how to be happy in fact it comes naturally to them. Then gradually through life we seem to sometimes learn how not to be..

Some of us may not quite know exactly how to be happy anymore, but we usually know what the first few steps are toward that goal.

In taking those first steps, we are taking control of the things we can, and that’s all we really can do, to focus on the next step.

Knowing that at least the direction is right.

It’s pretty futile to talk about politics generally. But I would like to think that in the future we will look back upon this time in history as a fairly dark time. OK, so maybe not as dark as some other times, but perhaps the time when capitalism festered to a self consuming phase.

A time when common sense is over-ruled by the selfish concerns of those that make the final decisions. Abuse of power, and a lack of concern for the society as a whole.

I feel like the whole system is at the point of imbalance, and that change will become more and more vital as the years go on.
