I watched the 1997 Cinderella last night and started wondering about modern casting choices if the masterpiece was remade.

These are all my completely unprofessional opinion lmfao! I tried to pick actors and actresses who also had some type of singing history. Next to each name I’ve listed a couple of their previous works that influenced my decisions.

Cinderella: China Anne McClain (A.N.T. Farm, the Descendants series)

The Prince: Charles Melton (Riverdale, The Sun Is also a Star)

Fairy Godmother: Jennifer Hudson (y’all already know her credentials omfg queen)

Stepmother: Idina Menzel (Rent, Frozen, Wicked)

Lionel: Jack Black (School of Rock, basically everything else he’s been in lmfao)

Queen Constantine: Alfre Woodard (The Lion King 2019, Luke Cage)

King Maximilian: Hugh Jackman (Les Miserables, The Last Showman)

Calliope (stepsister): Lilla Crawford (Into The Woods, Little Miss Perfect)

Minerva (stepsister): Coco Jones (Let It Shine, Grandma’s House)

#OKAY SO China Anne McClain? such a fantastic actress and singer and also beautiful af #i was stuck between her and keke palmer who is also amazing #but china ended up winning for me because she’s younger and brandy was very young when she did the movie (brandy was 18 and china is 22) #the prince was my hardest choice! i ended up going with charles melton because he’s a good actor and he’s hot af #also he’s pretty popular right now with his riverdale success but idk if he’s a good singer or not! i wanted telly leung at first but he 40! #jennifer hudson as fairy godmother is SUCH a good choice but it’s almost...
