OKAY NO STORYTIME FROM TODAY CAUSE IT WAS MY FIRST PLAY REHEARSAL

okay first, I wanna say that I took the role of someone who dropped out and I'm like a really minor character, 9 lines. but here

there was this guy and he played a really important character in the play, this kick-ass teddy bear, right?? so he said, "I should ride in on a tricycle" and I said "why ride in when you could DRIFT in!!" AND OUR JAWS BOTH DROPPED AND HE PUT ON A SANTA HAT AND ENTERED THE STAGE RIGHT ON CUE 😭

another thing that happened was Mr. R, who's on lighting, said that I was really good with line delivery and stuff and that made me really happy so yeah :33 I was starving the entire time and lost track of where we were in the script like 4 different occasions but hey !! good first time :D

yeah most of the time our friend group doesn't work super well but when it does we're dancing infront of mirrors, borrowing eachothers makeup, making up handshakes, buying eachother candles, letting eachother borrow clothes, going to eachothers houses, being on call for hours, gossiping about random people, crying over not having an outfit to wear, giving eachother hair ties and perfume, ranking makeup brands, singing pop, listening to music together, walking to eachothers houses during lunch break to freshen up our makeup looks and look at old silly pictures and videos and playing kiss marry kill

okay so

problem 1 : I'm doing a song at a school talent show ; burn from Hamilton. I'm afraid that I won't be allowed to sing it because it brings up sharing a bed with someone and apparently that's too explicit, so I need help picking an appropriate theater song for backup

problem 2 : I'm doing a school PLAY also and I'm really nervous!! I'm scared I'll flunk a line or embarrass myself somehow and I don't know what to do :((

problem 3 : lastly, this isn't really a problem, but I'm also signed up for an out of school musical theater program and I'm scared that I'll flunk something and that I'm uneducated on what to do.

your evening stroll was lovely, if not warm. You walked down the pier already and saw all of the boats, you walked down the boardwalk and got ice cream and here you were, downtown.

You turn a corner sharply, moving your hip around the pink bricks of a building. You look up at the sign, perplexed. It's a donut store, you think with a hum. Out of pure curiosity, you step inside.

A tall teen is working the register, accompanied by a far shorter girl who looked the same agez if not a little older. She seemed as if showing him around the store. "You guys moved this?" He asked with tension. The girl just nodded and laughed a bit.

There was one thing you could notice about this boy. Not his cracking voice or peculiar earrings, but his outfit. He was dressed in black fabric with gold, do-up buttons. The exact same as yourself.

You bite your tounge, but before you can speak, he pops the inevitable question. "Are you an alien??" Or, perhaps, an alternation. I mean, he wasn't wrong, to be totally fair. "Are you-" he asks again "long story." His eyes narrow and he looks down at himself.

"Oh. OHHHHHHHH. You-" you simply nod at his realization and he winces for you. "Hey, it could be a lot worse, at least I'm not stuck in space right now, am I right?" You jest. Not only had you taken a liking to this figure, you hadn't even learnt his name. Just as you were about to ask, he spoke. "The name is Lars, incase you couldn't tell by the terrific name tag I have to wear every day." He places a hand on his temple before extending it. You respond with your name and a common fist bump is exchanged.

"You sound almost as normal as you look in that outfit."

"Great start."
