Now I may have gone... exploring in the nsfw tag(just as great art there<3) but I noticed that the images on ao3 all seem to be broken. I've tried to see if it was a problem on my end, but nothing seems to work, so the best guess I have is an issue with where the images are stored? Just wanted to inform you.

I've been gone for a hot minute.

I'm sorry if I worried some people, but I can assure you I'm doing fine.

Let me explain:

Do you know that feeling when you don't reply to a text because you just don't have enough energy for it at the moment so you want to wait? But you wait and wait and wait and at some point it feels like a task that's impossible to do so you keep waiting in hopes of a sudden burst of energy that will bring you back on track?

It's kinda like that. I was lacking creative energy, drawing wasn't as fun anymore (it still isn't quite as much fun as it was before) and everything I drew just looked bad and uninspired to me. There were also other things that happened - some good, some meh. I'm not as happy with my job anymore, mainly because I studied something that I cannot apply there. I joined an indie game project that's purely on a volutary basis right now, but it's still taking up some of my free time. I got a boyfriend now, who's the sweetes guy I know and I'm happy he liked me back. And I also figured out that I needed to work on my portfolio if I ever wanted to apply for other jobs.

All in all things were/are time consuming and some things even drained me of any energy to even open the app for more than a second or two.

But I miss it and I really wanna get back into making art and sharing it and interacting with all of you.

I don't know how long it's gonna take me and I'm sure everything's gonna take a bit longer, because my energy level is still not back to where it was and my creative juices are not flowing as smoothly anymore. But I'm trying :) Oh and I'm sorry for taking a while to respond.

dumb question, but when you say you can finish simpler pieces in once day, do you mean getting up in the morning and drawing all day until evening, or more like 24 hours of actual drawing time? I'm asking because it takes me ages to draw anything and I'm curious if I'm just reaallly slow...

I'm also really slow. It basically all depends on if my hand lets me draw what my brain imagines. Some days this is working really well and my sketches are pretty clean and I don't have to change much about them. When that's the case, I can start a piece in the morning when I wake up and finish it by evening/night time.

But honestly it doesn't really matter how fast you are. (Except maybe for when you want to become a concept artist)

Hello, what advice would you give to a beginner artist. Also how much time does it take to finish an artwork?

Heyo :)

I guess something very important is that you shouldn't be afraid of making mistakes. You can always learn from mistakes and being afraid of making any will kinda paralyze you to the point you don't even want to try anymore. And also keep your old stuff, don't throw it away or delete the things you don't like anymore. They will also help you learn and it's always nice to look back at your old stuff and see your progress. It's something that keeps you motivated :)

How much time it takes to finish an artwork really depends on the piece, your skill and also if you're having a good day 😅 If I'm having a really good day, I can finish something in one day (but those pieces usually don't have a background). Most pieces take me a couple of days.

I would love to draw them some time, but lately I've been so busy I rarely get to sit down and draw and I think that encouraged my art block. So I guess I have to be content with what my hands actually let me finish. 😅 I'm trying, but it's not that easy

Finally got a reason to use polls! I need you help, because I can't decide: I'm getting a new dress for my costume, but I can't decide on the color of it. I already have this dark green gugel that I drew in the first version and I'd love to have a green dress, but the shades of green don't exactly match. So yeah..
